  • My theory is that Nvidia knew what the fuck they were doing. I'm pretty sure some higher ups in the company are rolling around in BTC/CC right now. I don't think they cared about gamers from the get go and they knew they were setting up a massive money haul through cryptocurrency. They're not fucking idiots, they knew the ramifications of releasing cards with next-next-next gen specs for the cheapest prices ever recorded in history. And it wasn't to make sure every gamer gets a chance at RTX and high res/GFX PC gaming.

  • nice cave bruh

  • Do you think 30 series cards are essentially going to end up being a lost generation of GPU's? Meaning this: Will lower production and availability lead to the next generation of cards being ready to start production before current gen production can possibly resume? Or will GPU makers put future graphics card innovation and advancement on hold until production can catch up?

  • I hope the etherium crash and burn to ashes !!

  • The fact that people are trying to sell 1660s and 2060s (not even 2060 super) for over 800 usd makes me wanna vomit

  • I'm over being jelly over pc CS-tvrs and their "endless" GPU supply...I caved in and bought a prebuilt instead. I'd rather have a pre-owned pc, then wait another 6months for GPU's whiles not having a freaking p.c. Great video guys.

  • Never been entertained like that for such a long time. Great content.

  • actually, nvidia is looking for herself, if crypto falls, market will flow with gpu, if miners cant sell to public since they have mining gpus, they can keep up gpu prices high, mining gpus is bad for gamers, i could get a 1070 for 190 usd, last time crypto falls.

  • I still don't see how automotives are related to GPUs. Not all chips are the same, there are HUGE differences. Their chips aren't 7 nm, their chips are more like 130 nm. Their chips have to be reliable and cheap, not high performance. There are different companies manufacturing these chips. Like Renesas, NXP, Infineon, ON Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics. TSMC plays a minor role in that market.

  • I've seen 1030's gong in Japan for between $400 - $600!!!

  • I got a 3800x and stuck with a GTX 980...

  • I understand that a change to Ethereum known as EIP 1559 will be launched on 14 July and will drastically cut mining profits. If so that might release some capacity.

  • Very helpful thank you

  • I cant buy a card from the beginning of the year... its insane.. I don't have that kind of money for a card that use to cost less than half of what they are asking... I gave up trying to build this PC, If the stars are fortunate, I hope I have some luck in the giveaway ^^

  • An hour and a half of Phil laughing at things that aren't funny lol.

  • Can we have a J2C vs linus video

  • Lets hope

  • Businesses: Money first, people second

  • 13:45 this is incorrect, Ethereum is moving to proof of stake so ASIC mining won't work for it on ETH 2.0. Don't worry gamers when EIP-1559 happens in July and mining profitability goes down there will be a lot of miners dumping their cards on the used market

  • Im so sad, business broke, my graphic card broke, and my girlfriend broke with me, my life is so broken, i just want to play VR with my friends again, i feel so lonely, it would be so amazing if i could win one of this, it even would be nice if i could win the chance to buy a 3060 or 1660 at this point even a 1060ti would be nice, i just want to play with my friends again.

  • Got my 5700XT in June of 2020 thank God

  • One of the best videos ever

  • It could happen that Ethereum 2.0 is merged before the production is fixed, ending with Ethereum mining. The combination of both could create a space completely opposed to what's currently going on.

  • I disagree - I'm still watching my motherboard and talking about my motherboard in the drawer ... just because I don't have an graphics card XD

  • Bragging rights are true...

  • A store in my country announced they were going to get 3070 in stock so I made my own bot because there is no other way to compete against bots. My bot didn't even see the buy button. It went from "in stock" to "out of stock" in a millisecond. Shit is crazy.

  • 568 570 views, 1437622 total entries on site... rly guys? be fair once

  • This was one great video! Can't wait to start my build once I can get my hands on a new GPU

  • My System Intel I9 9900k and RTX 2080 ti, i only get 43fps, what can i Do?

  • I got a GTX 570 XD

  • imagining videocard transports guarded like gold shipments

  • I decided to build my first gaming PC around the time the 3080 was first announced after watching one of your videos on building a PC, it was always daunting for me to do it but after seeing how easy it actually was I committed. Unfortunately I didn't hear about the shortages or the prices rising until after I'd bought all of my parts with the exception of a CPU and GPU. It's all been sitting in my wardrobe ever since because I can no longer afford the final two parts I need, the CPU and GPU. What a magical time to make that fantastic decision haha. Now these giveaways are all I've got until the damn pricing comes back down to earth

  • Entered! Cheers Jay! Cant believe how bad supplies of GPUs and PS5s are at the moment. Legend!

  • Playing on that 3080 at this time would be like "can somebody give me a ho yeaaahhhh!?"....

  • Thank you for this opportunity Jay!

  • This guy very rich

  • Just bragging about my motherboard: Using a PC with an ASUS P5K Pro atm...

  • My "conspiracy" is most likely that Nvidia, higher ups straight up take product right off the line to put it on eBay and scalp it. Either that or they sold directly to scalpers at a mark up.

  • What you've explained is exactly the breeding ground of hyper inflation. You get money for free which does not create inflation until you're willing to pay more than the person next to you for a limited item. It's like a censer which starts in one segment and quickly spreads to the next (car prices), and so on until it impacts a farmer's ability to acquire his John Deere to produce food and that too becomes a limited commodity.

  • Slow market release + consistent demand = artificially high prices. Simple economics.

  • Nice commentary.. You did miss one point that is larger than Ethereum mining though.. RTX 30xx cards crush data at a rate that is close to the A100.. now, I build servers for Big Data and on average three RTX 3080 or four RTX 3070 can preform the calculations of one A100. Now, here in Canada I would usually have to charge $12K for an A100 so, do the math and the RTX is just more cost effective. This is probably why Nvidia is racing to convert the A100 into a mining card, what is it going to be? HX220? To speak to the point of the 'just to turn on' video card, currently for my consumer clients I'm putting GT 710's in the systems as a loaner card until the RTX 30xx arrives. It's a solution for the moment but when my stock of RTX 30xx comes in, I'm going to have a pile of used GT 710's that I'm going to have to find a use for.. Seems like waste and the whole situation makes me a little sad.. Sad for my business, the environment and for my clients.. I should have been a chef instead of a nerd...

  • i have a rx 580 it’s a 4 year old gpu and i’m just trying to get 3070 or something so i can keep it for like 6 years

  • 13:15 He's is not cosplaying thats just pandemic 2020 right there. lmao

  • You are the first person I saw showing off this case so for me I'm really late to the party.

  • What's the conspiracy? These companies can sell to whomever they want and people that buy then can use them for whatever they want to.... I need a gt710 or 2 for my upcoming Monero miners.. I also have a mining set up with 6 empty pcie slots... And another rig with 6 cards with paid for itself in 3 months...

  • I am poor AF....a friend agree to sell me his old 1070 for 150$cnd(120$US). It's a very hard time to be a pc gamer 😟

  • Wish I got a rtx 2080 ti back then 2080 is kinda struggling in 4k 60fps now unless changing settings to medium, and also close to hitting vram cap in newer titles.

  • Eth won't be one of the culprits after it goes POS next year

  • Everyone loves, Phil's laugh🤣 Jk we love everything ✨

  • When you have a RTX 3070 and still watch this video to get you Oc to be even faster

  • I bought a 2070 super in October 2020 just before the dark time began. So happy

  • my laptop is ssd but its 4gb ram...

  • Wow, a few of these are garbage! Hahaha, but the other few are nice as FUCK to look at!!!!

  • JayZ is SO full of shit. He doesn't even talk about mining or miners posting pics of dozens and dozens of identical card to troll gamers while making bootsucking noises to defend Nvidia & AMD. At least AMD has the decency to release a few MSRP reference cards every week on its site.

  • me who does not have anything he has : intresting

  • ETH is going to move to proof of stake, which might change the need for gpu hashing.

  • The car manufacturers gave up their timeslots at the chip factories because they expected low demand for new cars during the pandemic. As we've started coming out of it, they tried to ramp back up and realized they couldn't get their place in line back.

  • Yo jay can you do a video on the gforce experience automatic over clock to see if its legit??

  • Instead of mining like dumbcunts for coins that doesn't exist, can't someone (re)ceate a program like the @home, where you can compute only by getting an ASIC or something that will not really interfere with the World, and get coins in return ? Not only will it help science in general, but people will be more enclined to do so because there's something at the end, it will help alleviate shortages and everyone is happy

  • well really the reason ppl are using eth so much is not entirely to become rich at this point the majority of transactions are to and from stable erc-20 tokens meaning ppl are hedging or investing

  • The World is being Deindustrialised for Zero Carbon bullshit.

  • With revenue over 4bn per quarter its hard to judge if the # cards sold?

  • They like "minor"...? Oh nvm

  • I'm really glad I was able to get my card last year. Didn't buy it from a scalper, but bought it from a vendor (CDW, they stopped selling them at some point) who wasn't listed in any of the mainstream sources on where to buy a card. They were one of the few sellers that would take backorders. At the time, waiting 4-6 weeks to get my card seemed like a pain but it was worth it to be done with the stress of trying to find one on Newegg/Best Buy/Amazon/etc. Now that it's six months later and the things still aren't available I'm counting my blessings.

  • Out of all products mentioned, only thing I can't get is new gpu. I could choose from at least 40 vendors for cpu I'm eyeing, 10 for mobo, but what I can't get is GPU. Thank you cypto, thank you so much I know you have only my well being in mind and you don't want me to spend too much time indoors looking at my pc. You want me to go out and catch some sun, It's good for me, it's vitamin D and stuff.

  • The companies don't hate you... but that doesn't actually mean they care about you. If they actually cared about more than quick profit they would do better to make sure many bulk sales weren't going to miners and prices wouldn't be as absurdly high as they are. No, they are just another set of companies run by people who are only profit oriented, they only care about sales and don't care about where their products go, and if they can sell them faster to individuals then they are going to do just that.

  • the odds are 5 - 1.436.440 good luck everyone!

  • They say the eyes are a window into the soul but in Jay's case, it's definitely his hands.

  • Well, the automotive industries DID lower orders, that capacity was taken by other stuff. They are partially responsible for their own problem.

  • This is the only channel where I don't mind watching the advertising.

  • To all the EU people hoping to get an EVGA card from the queue...it's a complete scam. There are no cards sent to the EU and they are lying outright on twitter about it. No cards were sent to the EU queue since October/November last year. They are shipping their cards to EU only for being sold at the usual 3x msrp value and acting all innocent about it. They are as crooked and dirty as any other company, the queue is just a decoy to make them look good.

  • I made fun of my friends for just thinking about getting pre-built and now I'm thinking about it myself. pre-built are way cheaper and have better quality parts than I could ever get off of retails. It's a sad reality and I really don't want to buy a pre-built as my first PC because I'm also a tech support student so it just seems natural for me to build it on my own

  • why don't we just recycle the old video cards and computers and people pay money for it so people are willing to recycle ?

  • JayzTwoCent I'm a filipino gpu shortage here is far more worse GT1030 is $200. It's gonna be my best birthday present ever if I could get your gpu you are displaying. T_T

  • Imagine being lucky enough to win one of those GPUs. Or even the next one that he said he'd sponsor the whole build.

  • About all the crypto crap, if Nvidia was even a bit smart they'd just make a separate line specifically aimed at miners that optimizes memory performance instead of graphics performance. Sure, it takes having two separate production lines, but at least you can save on components for those cards, meaning you can keep up with demand since you can make more of the other line.

  • Jay, have you checked out the Audio Technica ATH-G1WL? I've been testing a few wireless headsets lately and these are the only ones I've found that have as good a mic as the Virtuoso. They are also more comfortable for me and have no software at all to control them. Might be worth giving them a try. I keep going back and forth between the Virtuoso and the G1WL. Biggest complaint for me with the virtuoso is they push on the top of my head and are quite uncomfortable. Have a new pad I'm going to try adding the the Virtuoso to see if that helps. Others I've tested Steelseries Arctis 7 (most comfortable but mic was very compressed and the bass response was poor while listening) Blackshark v2 Wireless (better bass response and overall sound than the Arctis 7 and a slightly fuller mic sound)

  • In India the 1660super cost 23,000 thousand rupees but later due to shortage it went like unexpected price almost 60,000 thousand rupees it increases ×2 ×3 times

  • facts are they dont care whos buying those gpus as long as they make their money they dont care sooo gamers are screwed end of the story!!!
