  • Someone offers $100k over sticker for the corvette, and suddenly there’s $100k renovations?? A tad suspicious 😂

  • My mouth literally dropped when you showed the mountains framed in the garage windows. That is beautiful and so perfectly lined up.

    • my mouth dropped when he said he is making the whole living room wall RED BRICK!!!!😦

    • @Matt H for real! The one wall where the Ferrari is going yeah sure but not by the fireplace!!

  • To stop the shocks from those door handles you should add rubber handles or spray it with some rubber coating. Hope this helps 🙂

  • For the door that is holding electrical shocks to you could have a loose fuse or flex leaning against the door so I’d make sure to check it out Incase any problems happen aka water spill against the door and causes a possible electrical issue, I hope this helps James ❤❤

  • For the static issue, humidifiers throughout the house will help eliminate static, like a ton. I also use static spray on my furniture, carpets and in my car to prevent it. It may also be a wire touching the metal somewhere

  • talking about not giving up, he's the definition of it. from living in your Audi TT, now to living in a mansion. Love your stuff man!

  • Hello James, get an electrician to check if the door has any voltage, there might be an expose wire somewhere, that is dangerous. It’s common on new houses to have that problem it’s better to get it taken care of early

    • To add to this, if there is voltage then your metal doors need to be bonded to the rest of the house. That way the doors will be equal potential to the surrounding area. It can be dangerous so please have someone look into that soon

    • As an electrician, where that sliding door is, right underneath it a bunch of 5-6" wafer lights. I also know that if there recessed cans that's more room to push towards that door. Personally I give it a week. Keep checking if the door has that decent shock when touched. Then consider an professional to look into the problem.

    • It’s not an electrical connection to the door. It’s static caused by the new carpet. Happened at my new house for a few months too. It has a high enough dielectric field that it can even work through rubber shoes. If it was an electrical wire, it wouldn’t just spark, it would shock you. Typically static discharge or a couple thousand volts. Hence why you can hear it.

    • @zFPV exactly he might be wearing socks and there's carpet when they rub against each other it might cause static

    • Might be able to ground it?

  • Your house project is coming along nicely, and it has been a pleasure to watch its progress. We designed and built a house in NY in 1991. We still have that place but also have a place in TX. The work and research involved in designing and building a home is immense. A few quick recommendations... 1. Yes, put in a larger range hood. Cooking vaporizes oil (aerosols) and it will get everywhere. You want a good rangehood to take out as much of that as possible. 2. I don't recommend going with red brick on the backsplash. It will be a nightmare to clean. Typical red brick is just too coarse and oil and other dirt will get stuck in the small crevices...and the mortar gaps in between...ugh! This is not a problem for exterior brick where a good rain or a hose down with a pressure washer is enough to clean it...not an option for interior. 3. If you REALLY want to go with brick, consider dense oven baked or fire brick (used to line interiors of furnaces). These are dense bricks and have a fine/smooth appearance. At least the front surface area will be much easier to clean and maintain. You still have to worry about the mortar...so consider flush mortar lines (though that takes away from the typical brick appearance). 4. Think about a larger (professional) range or rangetop...Viking or Wolf. I recommend, if you can still find them, (commercial) open burner style instead of sealed burners. I think BlueStar still makes them, but you might be able to find them in the Viking Professional range. I'm not sure if you have a 30-inch or a 36-inch, but I recommend a minimum 36 and you might even be able to fit in a 48-inch cooktop. 5. Consider a built-in fridge...SubZero. You really need a SubZero. They come with dual compressors (one for the fridge and one for the freezer) and are extremely reliable and long lasting...and they look really good! 6. Consider a Miele dishwasher (if you don't already have one). 7. Consider a double oven and a separate built-in microwave. Wolf is a good brand. Yes, my recommendations will likely mean a total redesign of the kitchen, but you have a spectacular house. You really should also have top of the line appliances and convenience in the kitchen to match it.

  • Those shocks you experienced from the door all seemed pretty equal, giving me the idea that there is an exposed wire near the doors inside the wall. You don’t have carpet so for you to build up that much friction, especially with shoes on, is virtually impossible. Get your subcontractor out there on those doors.

  • “I follow my heart and I do what I want” well said Strad😂💪🏻

  • So excited to share this continuous house journey with you. I love the progress and all the thought that goes into it. Keep up the great work brother!

  • Id say do Polished WHITE concrete in the Batcave and all the walls white as well. As for the garage id say just plain polished concrete would look amazing. Also call an electrician about the door to check for voltage. Congrats on the girl, house, and all of your success over the last couple years!

  • The shock from the metal window/door frame is because your carpets (which are likely a plastic-based material like polyester) build up static really easily, and if you're wearing things like socks it'll only build up more/faster, so just the act of walking up to the window/door is going to build up charge that discharges when you touch the metal, hence the shock. You could maybe look into some sort of non-conductive coating like a clear plastic film (imagine PPF but much thinner) or clear varnish. Metal fabricators may have some better solutions.

    • Strad has to see this, i don’t even know how he could fix that unless he has a grounding pole to touch before he opens the door

    • Just throwing it out there...perhaps replace the metal handles with some nice wooden handles (maybe mahogany or other wood) so it will eliminate the electric discharge Strad is creating from walking on his carpets and then touching the metal doors.

    • He could also change the carpets… Also the electric shocks are bigger when the air is dry. Now that room isn’t closed from the garage (big opening at the stairs). I assume the air in the garage is much colder, and when heated up in the room next to it, the heated air would get dryer (basic physics). So putting a door between the upstairs room and the garage, would make the air less dry and thus he would get less shocked. Still shocked, but less. He could also wait till summer to check that theory…

    • It also could be a lack of humidity in the house, it's very cold and the heat takes the humidity of the house. A humidifier adds moisture eliminating the shock. My house did the same thing before I added one. He's not standing on carpet.

    • @Stijn De Bruyn there is no carpet in that room

  • So fricken insane watching you go from nothing to this

  • The garage sliding doors could be very good for a prank on your guests. 😂

  • For the garage floor do an epoxy coat with white and brick red color swirled together, I’ve seen it done and looks crazy

  • We need a full video of Strad attempting to cook in his new kitchen😂

  • I totally enjoy the idea 💡 of the red brick wall floor to celling. I would love to see that! Also I don’t think you put enough of a second/connection spot in the front of your driveway. The corner is tight for a RV/Boat without messing up landscaping

    • I totally the idea of the red brick wall floor to ceiling I would love to see that also I don’t think you put enough of a second conection sport in the front of your driveway the corner is for a RV/Boat without messing up landscaping

  • James, just a friendly caution, I cook on a stove often and whenever I cook something that has grease or fat that splatters at high heat, it hits the tile which in my house is glossed over but it might get absorbed by the brick and stain if you aren’t careful. Just a thought.

    • 100% this, grease and smell will stain and soak into the brick. A clear polyurethane sealant should be enough though.

    • You're dead right about this,, the brick has to be sealed against grease and moisture, but with a mat finish. Also, if you don't do this, you can actually end up with little brick dust particles that would make very short work of that nice granite top.

    • The best solution would be a glass backing over the red brick. In fact if you google that you get images of red brick kitchens with glass covered red brick.

    • Yup, there' a reason they use tile, quartz and other easily cleanable surfaces in kitchens. Brick is a terrible idea for a kitchen for all the reasons people have listed here.

    • I was thinking the same thing

  • God!! It's been forever since I watched one of your videos man! I'm glad to see you're still doing good and still uploading. It's definitely good to be back.

  • Absolutely incredible Stradman! Congratulations!!!

  • For the light switch problem, if you get Lutron smart switches, you can have all them turn on at once with a remote and install the remote into the wall and you can install the remotes wherever you want

  • Regarding the shock that happens when you touch the doors, it could be possible that an exposed wire is toughing the metal somewhere on the door. I have seen it happen before so i might have your builder look into that

  • Love the new crib and garage. (Not to mention all the incredible cars!) It will be amazing when your all done. Congrats!

  • Those doors giving you chocks could be really dangerous, for some reason mains voltage may be getting into them. You should get an electrician to check the grounding and wiring around the doors.

    • Gy

    • This👆

    • Thought the same thing

    • Couldn’t have said it any better

    • Imagine if there was a guy he paid millions to build his house and people that built the house that he could ask these questions to as to why he is getting shocked. LOL

  • For the “shocking doors”:Sounds like door guys hit a wire on those doors if they are metal frame. If it’s just static often you can add a ground wire on the frame. But generally static doesn’t hit so many times in a row so I would check for a screw in door frame hitting a wire in wall.

  • Loving the house build, keep it going!

  • @thestradman Congrats man! Been following you since your Audi TT days! You've followed your dreams and accomplished so much! You Rock!!!

  • For the shock doors. You can ground them. Or the cheap way, touch the door with your foot or knee first then open it. Or the expensive way. Just make them automatic. Hope that helps

  • I really think the polished concrete would look super good against the red brick in the garage. Especially with a dark/mid grey wall on the sides

    • Jesus Christ is our savior, he died on the Cross for our sins. Putting your faith in Him is the only way to get to Heaven when you die🙏✝️

  • I think the red brick for the backsplash maybe a bad idea... If anything splashes onto them and it gets dirty, it's gonna be a NIGHTMARE to clean

    • Also one of the most unsanitary surfaces you could chose and could potentially invite bacterial growth where you cook food.

    • remember. he doesnt cook

    • @PekoniPappa and he literally says that he does what he wants.

    • the brick can probably be sealed with a spray to keep it from absorbing any moisture. assuming they make one that's designed for interior. I'm a concrete/brick contractor but can say I've never done it for someone's interior. should look good though!

    • Say no too red brick Stradman,, o wait there is no cooking here unless Mom visits 😂

  • I get excited watching your videos no matter what is going on in my life

  • The range hood has to be in proportion to the range. The range you have is small so you don’t need to remove those cabinets and put in an oversized hood.

  • Stradman if you want to control the sparks you need to add some humidity to your house. Do you have one of those humidity units tied to your HVAC - Mine is called AprilAir - and I have the humidity set between 40 and 50% That should help with the sparks. Love watching you.

  • Perseverance and mindset will get you the life you want! Such a great success story Stradman!

  • Not sure if you'll see this but I have an idea for the giant side wall in your garage. You should find a really good spray paint artist and have them study your youtube channel, then make a giant mural for that wall. I think it would turn out amazing and add some color to the room to complement your crazy-colored cars!

    • I was thinking the same thing

    • this is a very good suggestion, it would complement the "industrial feel" he loves so much too

    • Contact the guy who did DMAXRYNOs shop.

    • Link to the Clip :-They finally released this cs-tv.org/tv/video-2EXjRrTzTgQ.html

    • @M P deffinately!

  • You should try epoxy flooring for the garage, looks really nice and you can do any number of color combinations

  • Do the other wall in the garage like a stained wood that goes in horizontal pieces I think like dark brown and light brown would compliment the new brick and give the industrial feel

  • I think your house looks amazing as is. However, it is your dream house and you should make it exactly how you want. You deserve it.

  • the red brick is a very good idea and definitely already making the place look good

  • Awesome, if you could somehow place fiber carbon appeal (fabric/interior panel(s)/wrap/some fort of texture) in your garage or kitchen bask splash effect Now, that truly would be an nice upgrade effect.

  • Since your getting a new hood, return that small cooktop and get a 48” or 60” wolf or Viking. You can get a grill and griddle inserts. You won’t regret it and they will “scale” with the house better. You also might want to go for a SubZero fridge. Food will keep better and your house deserves it

    • And then much like the guys that created basketball… also order a giant piece of marble to cover the range to stack pizza boxes… you know, since he doesn’t cook. 🤪😂

    • I said the same, that fridge looks incredibly cheap and basic in this house… overall the kitchen doesn’t fit the scope of this house what so ever

    • Really hope he takes this advice. Those kitchen appliances are so cheap and out of place.

    • @Kevin Smith a house this beautiful and architecturally different needs a dramatically better kitchen

    • Couldn’t agree more

  • Do a checkerboard flooring in the garage. That would look dope

  • I like the look of the bricks to the bottom of the window. I think it's going to be to much if you cover the entire wall

  • For those awesome shocks ⚡⚡ you're getting when touching metal doors - you need an automatic central humidifier hooked up to the furnace. I have one and the shocks have been greatly reduced!

  • Every single decision James has made in his entire life had brought him to the point where he can drift Shmee150’s AMG GT Black Series around his circular driveway! 😂😂😂

  • You’ve got an awesome amount of positive energy man love your vlogs 👍👍

    • If i was skinny like him, had his career, and his friends I would have amazing pos. Energy too!

  • This guy should start a company where he rents out spaces in his garages to people who need storage lmao

  • The glass doors that shock you... adhere a handle too the door. But make sure you get one with a grip made of a material thats an insulator. Like wood or glass or rubber or something. Or if its a metal handle make sure you don't screw it into it because it will shock you still. You would need a silicone glue? Or some sort of rubber spacer so what your grabbing isn't directly metal. Or maybe cut rubber strips at the edges where you grab it.

  • "I follow my heart, and I do what I want" - Strad 2022 Preach it man!

  • When you renovate your home just after 45 days of it being completed you gotta know you have made it

  • That view from the dream house sure beats the view from the tent in the Walmart parking lot. 👌 keep up the great content.

  • Your ideas for the house isn't something that I would do and that's exactly why I like it. Everyone does the exact same style of everything these days and no one actually expresses themselves.

    • I agree, too much of home design these days is about maximizing the desirability of the home down the road for resale rather than maximizing the fit for your own personality and life.

    • Exactly - I was thinking 'red brick with that blue behind the breakfast bar?!' - but then Stradman qualified it with his out there taste in cars. So makes perfect sense. :)

    • I agree. A Ferrari on your wall? But no one deserves this more than him.

    • Yeah and didn’t see it in the garage

    • A normal single guy would have been happy with what he had.. Amazing the things guys do when there is a woman around - just saying.

  • I love cars... I love houses... So the speed channel x HGTV episodes are #perfect. The red brick idea is brilliant!!!

  • Hi James great video once again, but i am quite concerned regarding the windows that keep giving you shocks when you touch them., is it only when you have the camera with you or is it at any time ? it could be that there is a static discharge via the camera which produces a small electric charge which maybe dissipating through you. Also not sure if you would agree but i feel those doors when open are quite dangerous as there is no protective rail stopping people from falling into the garage area. Just a thought but it maybe worth looking into.

  • I absolutely love the red brick background idea for the 430 challenge and the fireplace, but I’m not sure about the kitchen part. Love your videos keep up the great work❤💯

  • From dirt to a MANSION, this show by believing in yourself and working hard, it will pay off You have inspired me so much Mr.Strad, I'm now a CS-tvr just because of u, and will buy my 1st Lamborghini just like you

  • Hopefully with a house like this, you're using a decorator, a good decorator will take your (taste/ideas) and use their trained skills to really make you happy. I used a decorator in my last home and 2yrs later I'm still amazed at how great my house looks and not just it's sheer size.

    • Nah homie you got played. You just payed someone to spend your money for you it’s not hard to come up with your own interior concept ideas and have them modeled by a builder in cad.

    • i doubt it. cause it doesnt seem like he is using an interior decorator for the installs. that ted brick is terrible

    • Im gonna get one when I build my dream home!

    • @Manibusan Rambo, that's why I wrote this comment after seeing that brick.

  • I like the brick idea but I think I would do white washed red brick. You should look into that and maybe you will like it better! House is looking amazing! 👍👍💯

  • If it’s only static electricity, I would try installing handle that are made of wood. Congrats on the beautiful house.

  • i went on a road trip to colorado from california and i went through salt lake city for the first time, the entire time i was driving i was keeping an eye out hoping i’d see one of your cars drive by or something lmao. congrats on the house man ❤

  • So I love the red brick idea. The only thing is brick as a back splash is a bad idea. It's very hard to clean the grease off. Now for getting shocked on the door, that is a sign your inside air is to dry.

  • Love the house updates!

  • For the garage lights, since you're going with an industrial look, get a big red on-off toggle switch or breaker for the fun of it.

    • I like this idea

    • Cool idea. Probably would be best to have it on a sequencer so all the lights don't turn at the same time.

    • @Bob Moore yeaaah lets add These ideas

    • Especially the sequencer 👍💪💪

    • Lets Push this comment

  • I like the 9 light switches! Also you should make a dot that says stand here on it where u can see the mountains through each window

  • You've got an awesome amount of positive energy man!! Love your vlogs👍👍

  • The best thing I did to my house to make it look better was daylight LED bulbs. They get rid of that sad yellow glow that normal light bulbs have and make everything so much brighter and whiter. Besides that ugly yellow lighting the house is looking amazing! I love natural light and you have so many windows!

  • Strad I completely agree with your taste and your living my dream ❤

  • I can't wait to see the finished result. The suspense is killing me.

  • Seeing how much you have grown in the past two years is incredible. You are an inspiration Strad! Keep up the hard work!

    • Here is the recommend clips that say it: cs-tv.org/tv/video-AIvSNeerhRA.html

    • @Inside short i feel bad that you have 2 bots replying toyour comment

    • @1Diagramuel1 well it not like that same comment isn't said EVERY single video

    • @Matt S that too

    • It amazing even longer than that. He bought his Gallardo 7 years ago it's crazy!

  • Loving the Stradman tlc episodes

  • To fix the doors over looking the garage, you can run a small cooper wire from the frame of the door to the floor, this will stop it from shocking you.

  • The garage and bat cave concrete floors would look really good with a gloss epoxy finish to give some bright contrasting color! 😲👍🏼😎

  • Easy fix for the static, relatively anyway, you just need to ground the door, could be by a wire to ground, or you can get creative with it. Either way, that carpet is probably building up a ton of static, transferring to the door because it isn't grounded properly, and then discharging to you. Shouldn't cost much but you got a long way to go to ground it, Could maybe tie in the balcony and some wire on the garage floor from the bottom of the balcony (if it's metal). if not, just run a wire along the balcony and outside the garage, E-Z-P-Z

  • If you do the red brick wall it would look cool if you had tire marks leading up to the car on the wall, like you just launched it.

  • The blinds are faster than the car lift😂

    • Here is the recommend clips that say it: cs-tv.org/tv/video-AIvSNeerhRA.html

    • Bro i see you every time lol. Love the instant chat lol

    • @bob-ross yeah that weird satisfaction you get being the first comment on a major channel 😂

    • cars and beards

    • I bet you watch beard meets food I do. 👍

  • itll get there bro, just keep pumpin out the vids, im interested in what happens with the house its pretty huge and epic.

    • Jesus Christ is our savior, he died on the Cross for our sins. Putting your faith in Him is the only way to get to Heaven when you die🙏✝️

    • @Weston Lord well yeh but he said renovations not revelations

  • Stradman your static problem is most likely due to that room being super dry. I had the same issue until we installed a humidifier and bam static be gone.

  • use dryer sheets when you dry your clothes to remove static from your clothes. that should fix the shock issue unless there are electrical wires in the wall near the door and you are getting stray voltage.

  • Here’s the single man renovations coming in and Sophia is saving the day hopefully

  • That mountain view out the garage windows is EPIC! Views on Views!!!!

  • That’s crazy that it’s already been a month and a half. So happy for you stradman.

  • IDK why... we don't know each other, but everytime I watch your videos now makes me so proud of you 🥰

  • Strad needs a indoor RC drift track in that sick house 🤘😎🤘

  • this is like goonzsquad love to see the automotive youtubers dabble in some real estate. more videos like this.

  • If you are changing out the HOOD over the cook-top I hope you are also swapping out the cook-top for one that is proportionately larger to match the larger Hood.Otherwise it will look odd with a much smaller cook-top with a huge hood.

  • Cant say I’m a huge fan of red brick, but it’s your house and it’s cool to see you changing everything to your taste

  • You should add a 6 burner stove too. Every high end home like yours has 6 not 4. Plus it will keep it proportional to the larger hood. The blue island looks a bit cheap or out of place too. The rest looks insanely nice and cool though! Appreciate the house updates here and there mixed with car stuff

    • ya i am down with all of it but once that red brick goes on that blue face on the island is going to clash even harder than it already does... End of day i respect strad for it approach that he does what he likes, but i know he will like things to look better than he can imagine also!

  • Dude. I love the changes you're gonna make. Red brick is the right move. It's gonna look amazing!

  • Strad you are the man but you need an interior decorator ASAP bro haha! Let them help and pick things for you, your house will end up looking like a fire station without them haha

  • Yeah he’s never going to be able to sell that house again. But I love what he said. Followed his heart, and that’s all that matters.

  • Need humidifiers- cold plus dry = static. Love the brick idea!!!

  • The house looks amazing. You should build a hanging walkway from the mezzanine up to the roof in the garage so you can look down on your cars from above.

  • 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 MAN, IT'S LIKE WATCHING A FRIEND FINALLY MAKING IT BIG. Watch him move into his car, to the apartment, then with Burlacker*, to the temp house, then to the garage for a few and now this custom amazing mansion (at this point, soon to be a compound).

    • Link to the Clip :-They finally released this cs-tv.org/tv/video-2EXjRrTzTgQ.html .

    • Do you know what happened to the editor

    • @John Oporto Nope, I sure don't.

  • The side walls in the garage would be cool in a darker color with large (black?) acoustic panels. Would help with the echo for filming too!

  • Strad you should do a graffiti look on the gerage back wall I think that would be a really cool color pop it would really make the cars pop aswell

  • Its natural to see so many investors panic amid a worsening bearish market but it is also important to note that the market situation is nothing new in the crypto world.Several factors are driving negative sentiment in the stock and crypto markets right now including inflation, a shaky stock market, rising interest rates, and recession fears. As a result, bitcoin has dropped significantly from its all-time high, breaking below several key technical levels. As a crypto investor, the current situation might seem bleak. However, there are several tried and tested, expert-suggested investment strategies that can help you weather the current crypto storm. In 2 weeks of shorting and trading with signals directly from Harvey Creswell, I have been able to accumulate 11 btc despite the state of the market.

    • you can communicate with him on telgram with the user name below

    • @Harveycwy

    • Strategy minimizes risk and maximizes profits. Trading with him has been incredible throughout the last few months, and I would recommend his strategy to any one.

    • I will always be grateful to Harvey, I was only a newbie trader when I met him last year October. Now I'm more informed and experienced in the trading aspect of bitcoin, earning more than 1.9 BTC every 2 weeks.

  • I think you should go polished concrete. If you get a light porcelain, I think it’ll get way too dirty. It’ll be a nightmare. Plus, polished concrete matched the industrial style you’re going for, and it looks crazy cool.

  • The other walls in the garage should have graffiti on them. It would make the whole garage look very industrial and add a nice color splash and good contrasting pattern to the brick back wall.

    • Stradman ?? Never tried this before so how and what do i do here

  • I can’t get over the fact that he shocked himself 3 times. One time was needed😂

    • 4 one in the end also

    • True

    • Don't forget the weird noise he made the first time
