Carrying the title of the best-selling vehicle in a company's lineup comes with some pretty big expectations. For #Toyota, that vehicle used to be the Camry for many years... Over the last 5 years, Toyota saw sales of the fourth-generation #RAV4 double to the point of moving over 400,000 units every year. For 2019, the most important vehicle in the lineup gets a revolutionary change with all-new styling inside and out, more technology, more power, more capability, and improved fuel economy especially on the #Rav4Hybrid. It looks like Toyota may have just set the small SUV benchmark even higher for 2019.

  • Anyone else getting notes of Volvo XC40?

  • A bit of Jeep, a bit of Ford. aaaakh

  • is the stop/start engine technology applied to the Rav4?

  • Rich folks will be driving these soon..

  • Meh.😑😴

  • Hybrids use the CVT transmission. The non-hybrid uses an 8 speed transmission. I'll pass thanks. This thing is also too pricey against it's much better competition.

  • One thing about Redline reviews, the vehicles with more hp will be better.

  • The exhaust needs to be reset; it’s ratteling.

  • Sofyan been waiting for your review bro, hey is the windshield slanted back like in the Camry? I like to sit up right but I notice the windshield and roof line is at my eye level.

  • These new exterior and interior looks make me think that the overall quality of the engine and transmission will go down. For years Toyota’s were ugly but reliable. I have several co workers who are complaining about engine problems from Toyota recently.

  • And I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek 😕

  • Why did Toyota fk up by putting that ugly stuck on center console screen instead of moulding it into the dashboard?

  • Looks like it's on steroids!

  • This is a 35 minute ad

  • It's the benchmark of 'ugly'. Squarish wheel wells surrounding ROUND wheels. OK, exaggerating a bit... Styling is subjective but interior looks cheap...door sound is not great. Engine sound is atrocious and the 3 letter kiss of death: C-V-T. But what ever gets ur juices flowing..

  • When is this coming out ? I dont see XSE model in So Cal

  • SUV looks dope AF!

  • I CANT UNDERSTAND THAT ITS LEGAL WITH THE THURNSIGNALS AT THE WRONG SIDE OF THE HEADLIGHTS

  • If you *have to have* crappy guitar music, can you at least make it not so loud as to burst eardrums? Thanks -a headphone user

  • I'll buy when I get my v6 back

  • The front looks like the 4runner.

  • toyota alphard v6 2019 cs-tv.org/tv/video-1NWAYyq8fQY.html

  • NICE CAR,,,MY DREAM

  • 外观比之前一代好看多了

  • is this a collaboration with Subaru designers...looks like a Crosstrek???

  • 2019 hyundai tucson compare with this one , tocson like shit..

  • nothing compact about it

  • It's very long. If the front end was brought it and made a slight larger cabin width wise itd be a nice design

  • It’s like a copy of an outlander 2012. Like a short 4Runner without the stamina

  • I do like the new look better than the old one. I personally miss the old boxy suvs, and the oversized front grill is still super annoying. I am glad they have added ground clearence, but if you live in the mountains, you know you need a powerful enough engine for mountain passes... and a 4-cylinder(non turbo) is a deal breaker! I live in the mountains of colorado and my requirments are: good ground clearence, V6 or turbo engine, AWD/4x4, and doesn't look like a mini van. The Rav4 is getting closer, but still misses the mark for what i'm looking for.

  • I don’t understand all the jagged lines on these Japanese vehicles, looks cartoonish.

  • I personally like the back.

  • LD HEADLIGHTS WITH YELLOW FOG LIGHTS BULLSHIT

  • How much your country?

  • toyota needs to make a plug in rav 4

  • xc40 copy fail ^^

  • They don't have cargo capacity numbers? You mean math? Of course they know. That's idiotic. 69.8 cu ft with the seats down; 37.5 cu ft with the rear seats up according to Toyota

  • When are we gonna see these in dealerships?

  • I don't see this white/black color combo anywhere on the website. Very disappointing

  • That's pretty pricey for a compact SUV.

  • This is the size of the old Highlander..... Toyota, plastic seats on the Limited trim????? Can you please release a hybrid AWD Platinum package with real corrected leather seats????? I have cash in hand. I am your target market for the limited platinum package. I already paid cash for a 2018 Highlander Limited Hybrid Platinum package and was hoping to add a 2019 RAV. Your plastic seats are terrible. I own and have purchased new, 6 Toyotas.

  • It seems very cheap inside. That infotainment display is gross. Too much road noise.

  • Wow! this is the best RAV4 design. looks like a Land Rover

  • I want to buy this car but it don't fuck with Android, deal breaker for me....!

  • Lmao this is fun!

  • I prefer the sound of the gas model with the eight speed automatic over the hybrid model with the CVT transmission.

  • A honda oddessy back door

  • Is so small? Look big!?

  • I'm really excited for the new RAV to hit the market. A lot of effort and thought has been put into the new vehicle, and it makes me happy to see people as excited as I am to see this in person. As an enthusiast, I personally will be leaning towards the Adventure for my daily. The XSE Hybrid is tempting with those MPG figures, but after working for so long with and on Toyota vehicles, I've found that I love the gas models way more than any of the hybrids. The hybrid hum is just not for me.

  • I like the exterior. Interior would be nice too if not for terrible, terrible infotainment system...

  • It would be nice if you could talk a little slower

  • lifan x70????????

  • how much, like 45k?

  • Copy of volvo car

  • "Butched Up"?

  • jeep or toyota?

  • Hopefully they got rid of the STUPID ass sunglass thing on the roof that serves zero purpose and rattles louder than a coin in a can.

  • RAV 😍

  • Reminds me of the Lexus RX350 F sport in the front.

  • Slow ass suv

  • WHO KILLED HONDA CRV?

  • I think it’s ugly looks Jeepish and doesn’t seem to perform well . I think the Honda CRV’s got this 👍

  • Why do these people that do car reviews have to rev up the motor? Stupid stupid stupid ! The speakers in my phone do not replicate this sound of exhaust worth a shit. And not only that what does it prove when you do rev the motor up? Grow up kids !

  • Might as well call this a Subaru twin

  • you tube

  • Somit is shorter with sloping rear gate which will cut down cargo space, no thanks

  • If you want V6, get a highlander, or a 4runners.

  • How come seats changed in a drive.. surprising

  • This is a very nice trim, you get all what you really needed Some people ask for more that they don't really need & doesn't really buy too

  • When is Toyota going to give their trucks entune 3.0?

  • Holy hell, the design looks janky as fuck. Makes me wanna barf. The current Tacoma design -- yes. This -- no.

  • Great review.

  • Lol that exhaust clip

  • Butched up grill. 😂

  • This or the 2019 Forester?

  • I will take the occasional drone of a hybrid any day, than a constantly running stupid arcane relic of an ICE. No thanks to OPEC.

    • creek hed if you moved from cvt to 8 speed, you may start wondering about the awkward jerks and awful shift delays, sluggish 0 to 60 and no good fuel economy. Even a 20 speed hybrid doesn’t match a cvt. Carrying extra sets of milled and hobbed iron lumps in the tranny does not make it a better machine. Cvt any day!!

    • Im the OPPOSITE... CVT is not enjoyable. IF they could combine the 8-speed with the Hybrid I would be into it big time! NO CVT!

  • What I really hate is the colour shifting interior!

    • It’s ugly in and out! I will take the cx5 turbo!

  • Hideous, infotainment screen looks like an 80's hifi!!! Those wheel arch trims are revolting.

  • It is an awful upgrade, shall I say downgrade.Lookd like a matchbox.I have the 2016 model and looks way more mature.

  • Can you tell the quality of a car by the sound of the door when it's being shut

  • It needs a V6 with that rear differential.

  • Get a new Toyota for your spouse - it'll be a great trade!

  • Looks good

  • Hmmm I dont b....

  • Que horror bombillas en los intermitentes, espero que tengan versión led.

  • This is SMALL? It is the best SUV in its class right now for sure

  • Design is better, but the engine still sucks.

  • Still miss the tire on the back -_____-

  • Is almost a copycat of Subaru Cross track or XV physically, but still losing out to Subaru All Wheel Drive, Symmetrical boxer engine superiority.

  • If your a person who lives like say 15 miles out of town and drive that work everyday there is a big difference. This year is quicker than the old one. It feels bigger inside. It's a more comfortable ride and it is quieter. If you buy one you will notice a big difference driving 15 or so miles to work. The seats are also more comfortable this year. Like I said below I didn't have a lot of time with it and kinda broke some rules shhhhhh. My overall opinion surprised me a lot. With comfort, handle, ride, quiet, I would drive that on a 900 mile trip without thinking twice. It would give me everything I want for a nice 900 mile trip. The second thing was how well it performs off road. It will walk out of much...….worse or tuff stuff than I thought. The AWD 4X4 system with Toyota will impress. There is no doubt the Rav4 will handle snow covered roads with ease.

  • I was lucky enough to get to spend some time behind the wheel of a 2019 and I loved it! I was MORE impressed than I thought I could be. It feels bigger, roomier inside, it's more quiet than the old one. The new has more ground clearance. The drive is much more comfortable than the 2018. They raised it 2 more inches off the ground which makes it easier to get in. It looks a lot better. I broke the rules so...shhhhh but I took it to the Everglades and tested the 4x4. I had someone follow me in my Tacoma and the Rav4 went into places I was sure it was going to get stuck but it walked right passed it! The system in this new Rav4 will go into more mud and more ruff stuff overall. I had to hurry it to the car wash and get it back fast so I didn't get that much time with it. I LOVE everything about it BUT one thing!!! WHERE IS THE V-6 DAMN IT!!!! I WANT a V-6!! I drove a 2012 with a V-6 a lot and it was a lot of fun to play in. That darn thing was quick too!! So to Toyota I say this...……………………...GIVE ME A V-6 RAV4 DAMN IT!!!!!!

  • Cheap plastic interior, Toyota's entertainment system looks so outdated compared to Ford Sync, and that is some wishful thinking that any Rav4 owner will ever go off road.

  • please review the 2019 Chevy Blazer

  • Looks ugly.

  • My sister was going to buy a Honda CRV but after seeing the new RAV4, this is her next ride. The Hybrid with the same Silver and black trims. I also convinced her. I’ve owned nothing but Toyota’s, never had a problem. I currently own a 2018 Corolla SE and love it.

  • ME LIKE IT...A LOT...!😁

  • The hybrid version is the best nice black contrast

  • The technology compared to other manufactures in Toyota just plain sucks. They are so far behind. Own 2 toyotas and just traded one of them in. Happy I got rid of it.

    • +Javontae Eaddy Toyota minivan is not reliable so just because the Tundra and Tacoma have the reliability it doesn't mean all of it's line up do. I own a Tundra is solid but the minivan is garbage. Honda is great and Mazda is just behind them. Volkswagon never had any problems with very very reliable for me. Own a Dodge or GMC and you will never say the others are junk, it will open your eyes quick.

    • JasonB Toyota makes the most reliable transmission by far, and always has. Honda’s trannies are weak.

    • +Jason B Volkswagen is CRAP. Mazda is pretty good. Toyota, Honda are the undisputed kings of reliability.

    • +Javontae Eaddy I disagree I traded mine in for a Mazda and couldn't be happier. Volkswagon, Honda all very good manufactures. I think the gap is closing on reliability fast it's going to come down to features, design, comfort, when we go all electric.

  • It looks good in pictures (professional photo shoots), but just been to LA auto show and I am very disappointed, it is cramp inside, it looks small inside and outside, it looks like an old small Tacoma. Just plain and unexciting (limited awd and below trim). They did not have the top of the line hybrid available to sit and explore, just on display from afar.

  • Wow
