I think the new guy will be fine eventually. Can’t replace 20 years of history between Ernie,chuck and Kenny immediately. Even shaq, one of the most likeable people, was not an immediate fit into the crew. The reason why people love the show is the chemistry and personality of everyone, as well as basketball knowledge/insight. If the new guy displays personality/basketball knowledge then the chemistry will follow

I love Chuck, man. Charles Barkley ALWAYS gives credit where credit is due, and he always pays respect to the old dogs, who paved the way for us. I’m 26-years old, and it pains even me to see people praise *only* modern day players. The legends of the past, not only had to deal with extreme racism (which still goes on to this day), but they played for much lower pay, they weren’t on load management, AND a player like the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got his all-time scoring record shooting ALL TWO’S. People don’t understand; getting the all-time scoring record today, shooting only twos, would be near IMPOSSIBLE. And then you take into account that players played tougher defense back then, the defensive rules have changed to allow for more scoring (hand-checking removed, they added flagrant fouls, they removed the illegal defense rules, etc), they actually called traveling/carrying back then, AND players today get more foul calls? I am not taking anything away from LeBron James; he has had an amazing career, and is undoubtedly a Top 10 Player of All-Time (not the GOAT, imo), but what Kareem Abdul-Jabbar accomplished throughout his career is UNTOUCHABLE. He had the most UNBLOCKABLE shot of all-time. Like, how is that not talked about more? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the only player to ever block the Sky Hook is Wilt Chamberlain, and he only did it ONCE (he got his hand on it more than once, but they were all goaltending). Wilt Chamberlain, the most insanely athletic human, possibly of all-time, is the only person to block the Sky Hook, and he only did it ONCE without goaltending. We need to give players their flowers while they’re still here. Shout out to Kareem, and shout out to Chuck, for always keeping it real

With all the rules changes and stat padding that goes on now no record is safe. Even if lebron gets the scoring record, it won't stand as long as Kareem's did by comparison. Simply put the game has changed. We can't judge it under the same lense .

No doubt that Zion playing healthy each game would completely take that spot. Should he have gotten it this year I don't think so someone like Domantas Sabonis has played in a lot more games as shown so much from this season and I'm not even from Sacramento. If Zion is still not ready they should definitely considered Sabonis. Not flashy but gritty and knows how to bring the intensity.

If they had a rule like that.. shaq would have been forced to stay in shape and he would’ve put up about 5-6 more years of 29 and 12 after the last laker season. He had post moves and supreme athleticism, then he gained weight and became even bigger and stronger but as he aged that wasn’t best idea for longevity, and that’s when he started to become less athletic and more bully ball

All Star selections are basically a popularity contest. Lebron is the only player who can score 30 points and hurt his team by losing by double digits. Zion missed way too many games to be a starter but the media has selected him as next up. Steph or Luka should have been captain
Domantas Sabonis is so underrated.
He's good but the West starters are stacked so you can't even argue their starting 5.
@Daanish Gupta , Domantas is included in the MVP conversation as well as Zion. Sacramento is third in the west while New Orleans is fourth. Sacramento became better after that Sabonis' trade so impact matters plus the fact that Zion missed too many games already including twelve straight games. ps: Zion is one of the most gifted players in this era but Domantas is playing his best season in his NBA career.

@Linards Ž Let me put it this way, Huerter is playing exactly like Klay or Steph but he's not even close to being a player like them. Tyrese is doing what Luka does but Tyrese is not a superstar. Sabonis does what Jokic does too, however he's not the MVP and he's not even close to being like Jokic. Zion is a top 10 player in the NBA when playing and he is fit to be the no.1 option on a championship team. He's literally putting up Shaq numbers.

Wilt held the record for all-time scoring leader from 1965-1982 after taking the spot from Bob Pettit. Kareem took over the top spot in 1983. That had to be an exciting moment (where's the 1983 broadcast?). Another interesting fact is that Kareem has only been the season scoring leader 3 times 1969-72. Lebron has only led the league in scoring 1 season 2017. Wilt also has the record for most points in a single season (4029), a record set in 1961
