  • If the bottom of the slinky isn't moving due to the spring tension holding it up, then the top of the spring must be accelerating faster than 9.8 m/s/s. You should do that again with a scale of some sort to find the rate of acceleration of or the top of the spring

    • yes... but only IF they can also use the demo to TEACH something. My science teacher showed a lot of "stuff" but without explanation. Same thing with this video. I'm an engineer with ten years of college and still don't know WHY some of these things happened. I eventually thought out Why the bottle was held by matches--but the video doesn't tell us. So a Teaching Moment passed us by.

  • 5:52 that magnetic drag effect is widely used in roller coasters to slow the cars down without using friction brakes, which require far more maintenance.

    • Didn’t really understand that one is it related to Eddie currents in the aluminium

    • @Rishit Sood Yes, when the magnet moves past a conducting material, it generates currents which generate their own magnetic fields. The two fields repel each other, hence the slowing effect.

    • @Wouldn't you like to know wheather boy The track. the car has an an metal plate (probably aluminum, it's a good conductor, light weight and inexpensive) that fits in a slot in the track. The slot is surrounded by electromagnets.

  • I have to ask, with the slinky video. Doesn't the fact that the bottom of an elongated 'falling' object not falling until the top of the object reaches it, disprove the concept of "Spaghettification" in regards to a black hole's intense gravitational pull. I've always been a skeptic about that idea, and would love more detail about how that's supposed to work if a slinky seems to defy it.

    • Depends on how dense the object is. With black holes, the increase to distance ratio is really high. With earth, much less dense, with much less mass, it’s far lower.

  • Hi everyone, here is a relatively simple experiment using mirrors in a vacuum which I am saying will create matter (electrons and neutrinos at the very least) from light. Setup a vacuum lined with the highest possible reflective surface and in the centre suspend a spherical object also coated with the highest reflective surface possible (the more dense/heavy the object the better because the more dense it is the more it will distort the spacetime fabric/dark matter lattice). Have a small inlet window with which to send in light and a small detector somewhere else to detect the intensity of the light, keep them both as small as possible to allow the light maximum room to propagate. Monitor the exact amount of energy/photons fired into the chamber then cut off the inlet. What you will find is that when you send a fixed amount of energy into the chamber the intensity will not stay the same as current physics predict/state it must under the 1st law of thermodynamics, it will increase in intensity over time. It will also create matter as that light gets caught in vortices due to curvature. Thus creating electrons which in turn cause ripples in the fabric detected as neutrinos. If you leave it long enough and can create a large enough vacuum I predict you will find these electrons eventually change into larger particles as they get stuck in manifolds. I'm not sure how physicists detect for electrons and neutrinos but I'm sure if anyone can verify that light is propagated in all directions not just along one dimension no doubt all the big labs in the world will be clambering to take over.... alongside the nay sayers who will try to slow you down. Be prepared for resistance, I suggest you make contact with people you instinctively trust not to be involved in the military and find someone with a really big name to do an ASAP peer review, quietly and fast as possible. (Susskind, T'Hooft, Greene, Bell Burnell, spring to mind) All physicists seem to be doing what they did to Einstein when he first proposed Special Relativity, saying this guy is bonkers, just ridicule him and/or ignore him and he will go away. (In my case it doesnt help that I make minor errors in detail which seems to obscure the bigger picture which is simple) As they say theres only one way to find out, put it to the test, if you cant understand or believe what the inequality that solves the double slit experiment shows: that energy is created but generally goes undetected in multidimensional time, then try it. The inequality is summarised in 4 sentences and backed up with the experimental evidence that verifies it right at the start in the Unified field Theory that solves Everything doubleslitsolution dot weebly dot com/springtimetheory dot html I am telling you the whole current models of physics including star formation and black holes are incorrect but everyone has made it clear they wont listen without phenomenal evidence so please do the simple experiment and see for yourselves.   • 5:38 Actually the magnet moving on a metal creates induced current due to the induced current it again creates a magnetic field which is in such a way that it opposes the cause of it that is it opposes the movement of the magnet as per I have learnt [actually this is 10th standard topic and I am 7th but I am selcted and joined in a special IIT batch in which I learned PUC and IIT level syllabus] Thank you
