  • United States of this America. American Pharaoh, rulz. End of story.

  • Respect for Mr. VICTOR ESPINOSA. What Rider / Jockey 1st☝️MEXICAN/LATIN to win the Tripple 👑✨

  • Deserving *

  • Love to hear that call!

  • this horse had the entire country glued to their TV. I got chills watching this

  • I was not alive to witness the GOAT Secretariat. I never really paid much attention to Horse racing but when I heard that there was a chance to witness a triple crown winner I went all out. I ordered a pizza and watched it with my Nana in her room. We were all so thrilled to have seen American Pharoah break the 37 year drought. Now I make it a tradition to come back and rewatch this every derby day. Because while Secretariat might be the GOAT. American Pharoah is my GOAT. By the way can we The commentator his deserved credit? I mean I'd say it's up there with "Secretariat is moving like a mighty machine" and "Do you believe in miracles!?" For the great sports quotes in history. And I just get chills every time.

  • Absolutely fucking epic!

  • the winning horse run it's own pace ... and saving power for the last bend ... while other contenders trying to grab the lead ... but can't for the horse in front saving his last outburst of energy to the finished line ... pini pitik pitik lang pag me lulutsa ... palit palit pa sila ... mga 200 metres pinakawalan ng hinete kaya lumayo ... yun nakita ko sa bidyo ... salamat

  • And it took a HORSE to unite the country for one moment!! Thanks AP.

  • I can’t stand the announcer during this race. Especially after American Pharoah crossed the finish line and he starts screaming. IMO it takes away from the significance of the race and the moment. Just a total fail. Announcers like Chic Anderson are dearly missed. Always had the perfect voice inflection and description of what was happening during the race.

  • 3 things that I thought I would've never seen that summer. Triple Crown winner Royals winning the World Series My Mom passed away She absolutely loved horse racing and her Royals.

  • American Pharoah Makes His Run For Glory...that hit me hard

  • When non horse people believe horses are “forced to run against their will” they should watch this. The horses who win love to run. If they didn’t they wouldn’t win it’s simple.

  • the brilliance of Espinoza! took 37 years for a triple crown winner and he got the job done. still brings tears to my eyes everytime i watch this race.

  • American Pharoah was absolutely all alone Loose on the lead Horse...Haskell/Preakness/Belmont/Classic...When he was finally pressured a bit up front he Lost in the Travers to a 3 for 23 lifetime Horse...

  • OMG. I haven't seen this reply in years. With NO sports, NO roar of a crowd now for 4 months, life is just not the same man. Watching this HISTORIC moment with that NY crowd just going ballistic, I wept watching this. Just gave me fuckin chills hearing the call by the GREATEST race call in horse racing history, this raucous crowd, was just exhilarating 🤯🤯🤯

  • Last time there was an actual triple crown winner was in 1978!

  • I love sports :')

  • I could watch this race forever & ever! We love you American Pharoah! Thank you so much for achieving something we thought never would be seen again in our lifetimes!!!❤️❤️🐴🐴🏆🏆🏆🥇

  • I have seen this race at least 100 times. And every single time it brings tears to my eyes. Brilliant horse. Great call. That was a great day for racing.

  • From Japan, his firstcrop Cafe Pharoah standby for America.

  • AMERICAN PHAROAH IS FINALLY THE ONE!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best calls in sports history

  • I think the commentating is right up there with: “Do you believe in miracles?! YES!!!”

  • 2:31 when your crush becomes your fiancée

  • What a magnificent race by AP. Always looked well within himself, and put the exclamation point on it by running an easy 24 1/5 final quarter. Came oh so close to winning the Triple Crown, Travers and BC Classic in one year (just being a bit short in the Travers). Really wished he would have come back as a four year old.

  • Espinosa said “when we went into the first turn, I knew it was ours”. AP would not be beaten that day

  • I wanted to see this horse go to the Dubai World Cup but oh well, you cant get everything lol

  • I'd have to say zenyatta 2009 breeders cup was a great call

  • Who's missing horse racing? I still get Goosebumps watching this, five years later.

  • Is he better than Secretariat?

  • It's hard to Say who Was The Best horse in this 20 years but There is a few great horses like... Ghostzapper, Candy Ride, Invasor,American Pharoah,Arrogate, Shared Belief,Gun runner & Justify

  • Still gives me chills in 2020

  • My horse will win this race on day... Just watch

  • Waiting all those years to watch this again... tears were shed.

  • Your name will live on forever

  • Grew up in Uruguay watching the heartbreaks of Smarty Jones, Silver Charm, Big Brown... when this horse came along I finally had the age and the wallet to go for it. Right after he won the Preakness an uncle half-joked with me: “You should fly from Uruguay to New York just for the Belmont”. I bought my grandstand & plane tickets the next day. Left Uruguay on the afternoon of the day before the race with only a bag with a change of clothes, binoculars and a camera. After 13 hours of flight, I arrived in New York JFK at 6am the Saturday of the race. Went to Manhattan to pick my tickets, took the train to Belmont and arrived at the track for the second race of the day. Best experience of my life. I screamed my voice out when one of my favorites (Honor Code) won the Met Mile in incredible fashion some hours before the big race. And that Belmont still looks surreal even today. I cannot put it into words. When the day ended, I returned to Manhattan to sleep at a scrappy hostel, and the next afternoon I was flying back to Uruguay, to be back at the office on Monday. Best spent 2000 dollars of my life, and best sporting experience of my life. By far.

  • This still gets me emotional, 5 years later. What an incredible moment by an even more incredible animal

  • ANOTHER drugged up wonder by Baffert

  • What a perfect day for the long wait of the triple crown winner. 6/6/15 --666-- (15 is one plus 5 =6). AMERICAN PHAROAH born on the 33rd day of 2012

  • 1)Seattle Slew 2) American Pharoah 3) Secretariart AP was impressive

  • Damn he actually ran the last half of the race faster than Secratariat. 2nd fastest time in Belmont history

    • Sixth fastest actually, but still a helluva race. He looked strong at the end, too; he probably could have gone faster.

    • Wire to wire too. Pharoah was a beast.

  • What I great call. I have never thought I was able to watch this. Bravo Víctor! Bravo México!

  • greatest call in sports history

  • I know the great great great great grandson of secretariat would win

  • TC was great. time not so great. horse racing in the past had just "something" extraordinary, especially in belmont stakes '73. it was like a "magical" sport performance.

  • Terrible boring call of the race

    • Larry Collmus is a terrible commentator

  • "Not a great start..." Which means the horse usually wins.

  • Great horse. Great race. Incredible. Wish I could've been there but I am sadly in europe for my whole life.

  • I barely follow horse racing at all but this is still one of my favorite commentator calls in sports history. I get chills every time he says “american pharaoh has won, the triple crown!”

    • It was a special moment for all horse racing fans. First triple crown winner in 37 years, and he won so easily too. You can hear the passion in the commentators voice.

  • This call gives me goosebumps every time i hear it

  • THIS US ABUSE! I HATE YOU HORSE RACERS!

  • I’m 42 years old and still get choked up watching this!😭

  • IM YOUNG AND IM BLACK IN AMERICA

  • American Pharaoh, history has its eyes on you!

  • Still tearin up here goddamnit

  • I Have American Pharoah As Traditional Breyer & I love him

  • This commentator who is he? Music to my ears

    • Larry collmus

  • Watching this Horses Career and the way he Moved on the Track was absolutely "Superior" to a Horse like Justify...Justify in my Opinion was Very "Fortunate" and probably would have Lost a lot of Races had he continued to run after the Crown...Also i was Very Disappointed in the tactics Baffert used with his other Horse in the Belmont who was used to WIPE OUT half the field/speed out of the gate into the turn to make sure Justify got a clear lead from the rail

    • I don't even consider justify a TC winner. He was a good horse in a weak crop and he never proved himself against older horses. He owners knew he wouldn't beat older horses so that's why they retired him

  • Good race for American Pfaraon but he is not so fast like Secretariat,he was the amazing horse

  • Congratulations to American Pharoah, as being listed at #21, on the 50th Greatest Athletes List, over the last Decade!!!!!!👍 Also, American Pharoah was named "Horse of the Decade"!!!!!!!👍 Again, congratulations to American Pharoah, Trainer, Bob Baffert, Jockey, Victor Espinosa, The Owners of American Pharoah, and everyone else, for turning this BEAUTIFUL and FANTASTIC Racehorse, into a TRUE Champion!!!!!! Love you, AP!!!!!!!😍😎🤗🐎

  • Ears pinned at the first turn you he was sitting on something big.

  • Almost 5 years later....I still tear up a bit. My wife probably still thinks I'm crazy LOL. #MyFavoriteHorse #FinallyTheOne

  • One of the all time greatest calls in the history of sports. And I'm not a horse racing fan. But that was incredible and emotional to witness. #AmericanPharoahIsFinallyTheOne!!!!

  • Competition wasn't that great that year...

  • "THAT'S MY BOY!"-Secretariat.

  • This was better than the Cubs winning the world series. Thanks AP!

  • And Secretariat was running there right next to American Pharaoh, encouraging him.

    • Or, two seconds ahead of him telling him, "Try and keep up, and you will win." 🏁🏁🏁

    • Yas I couldn't have said it any better

  • Wow

  • I know Secretariat was in a league of his own as a beautiful specimen of a horse, but American Pharaoh is just a gorgeous creature as well!

  • To listen to the greatest call for all three races of the triple crown look no further than 1973 . . . Secretarariat ! ! ! Nothing else needs to be said ! ! ! !

  • This was by far the best sports moment of the year. We love you, American Pharoah!

  • It still gives me goose bumps.

  • "HE IS MOVING LIKE A TREMENDOUS MACHINE" - Secretariat "AMERICAN PHARAOH MAKES HIS RUN FOR GLORY" - American Pharaoh Such a great race ,37 years and finally.. Another horse won the Triple Crown.. Even though it still hasn't beaten Secretariat , It was a beautiful win! xx

    • @horselover yeah i do.

    • @Esra Actually it was a nose and it was Affirmed! So, yes, nose, but you get my point, or do you?

    • @horselover nose.

    • Do you secretariat fans ever give it a rest. And you missed "alydar has his nose in front"!!!

  • I would love to see a triple crown winner or contender run in the melb cup.. would be awesome if they win that

  • Still gives me goosebumps... first triple crown in my lifetime and it was immaculate, just perfect. If it’s not the greatest call in sports history, it’s gotta be in the top three.

  • Now that we know Justify cheated, there needs to be an asterisk next to his name...AP is the true triple crown champion

  • The race was rigged.

  • wow

  • Wow it's like watching Secretariat in HD

  • This race reminds me secretariat a lot!😍😢 In the finish i cried😢😭 R.I.P Secretariat😍😢❤💘💓

  • The three year old crop that Pharoah beat was significantly more talented than the 3 year old crop that Justify dominated. American Pharoah will always be my favorite horse of my lifetime.

  • horse racing real-betting

  • I'm related to that horse 🐎. Don't ask me how.

  • No goose bumps here. Every call is trying to be the Big Red Belmont call. Keep trying. Theres always second.

  • Love American Pharaoh. He ran so easy. Smooth strides looked effortless.....

  • I feel a slight special connection to this as I live in MD and my cousins within a 2 min walk from the Pimlico track. So even if they didn’t go they could probably feel the energy from his second win

  • Larry Colmus should be at least given the opportunity if he wants it to broadcast the Super Bowl. This guy is as good as ive EVER heard.

  • Only horse to win triple crown and the classic

  • A dull race, but an important one. The announcer closed strongly, if a bit tardily ;-).

  • holy shit forgot how incredible the commentary was, there was some serious passion in that

    • Its a moment racing fans have been waiting on for 37 years

  • American Pharaoh is finally the one, American Pharoah, has won the triple crown! GOOSEBUMPS every time. Insane call!

  • American pharaoh wire to wire

  • Bienvenue sur turf usk

  • นายพัทธะพลรวยล้านชนะขี้ม้าเร็ว

  • Would love to see a 6 horse race of Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, American Pharaoh, Justify, and Sham. The all-star team of the last 45 years of horse racing.

    • Oh, Secretariat would win by daylight in that race... but the other five would be side-by-side. Those five (and you could throw in Forego, Spectacular Bid and Alydar) would make for one hellacious match race.

  • Not a big horse racing fan, but I love sports. I was very happy to see a triple crown winner in my lifetime (and have now since seen two)

  • Who bet on American Pharaoh and who have won huge money? :)

  • Love this horse the heart of a champion
