Bangladesh beats South Africa in World Cup 2007. It is the first win of Bangladesh against South Africa.
In this match, South Africa won the toss and chose to field. Bangladesh stores 251 runs on their scoreboard. Mohammad Ashraful played a brilliant innings of 87 runs in 83 balls.
Chasing this total, South Africa bowled out for 184 runs and Bangladesh won by 67 runs. Abdur Razzak took 3 wickets for his team.

রাইট। ফর্মটা ধরে রাখতে পারলো না আর অধিনায়ক হওয়ার পর। কেন পারলো না? তার উত্তর আশরাফুলই দিতে পারবে। আসলে ২০০৭ সালের পর ক্যাপ্টেন্সিটা রাজ্জাক / আফতাবকে দিয়ে ট্রই করা উচিত ছিলো। আশরাফুলকে তাদের পর দিলে ভালো হতো

That comment was from Barry Richards, one of the greatest opening batters of the 1970s. He was in the South African team in the early 1970s! Unfortunately, he couldn't play any more international cricket, because South Africa was banned from playing test cricket (yes, at that time, only tests were counted as international cricket)! He played in the English county cricket circuit and in the Kerry Packer tournaments in Australia. He was truly a great attacking opening batter! So, when he commentates like this, that means, Ashraful was worth the accolades! But, as others said, a real talent wasted - Ashraful!!!
This match cost Proteas final spot. This match doomed fortunes of SA so much that they had to meet a rampaging Australia in the semifinal instead of much more winnable Sri Lanka or New Zealand.
