Just viewing this now on 12/29/22. I am a semi-retired human doc who is an animal-lover but not a pet owner now. The strides of veterinary medicine are incredible. I guess that Sally got her food/water initially through her NG tube before she could eat and drink on her own. It reminds me of the human advances for preemie neonates. We can now save humans and animals who would have perished in the past. BRAVO!
She's lucky, one advantage of being so small is that you have a lot of growing you can do to recover

That's what I thought too, in relation to neo natal care for premature babies as it's the lungs that seem to develop last. My niece works in NICU and the leaps forward in survivability for prem babies is astounding. This care for Sally is incredibly similar as you mentioned with the feeding tube, oxygen and round the clock monitoring and care. What a marvelous result. I hope you take a moment to give yourself a pat on the back for the huge variety of care you have given and continue to give us humans. I can't imagine the emotional rollercoaster you go on daily with patients, on top of the clinical care. We appreciate you. I hope that the country you work in doesn't have too much red tape behind the scenes making it tricky for you to provide care. Thankyou and take care.

My daughter used to be on a ventilator she started to pull it off and cry when it was put back on....the doctors said she would never come off .......21 years later, no vent❤️❤️❤️❤️So happy for this pup, sometimes they know before we do❤️❤️❤️Best wishes and happy life for you all!!!!!!

Melted my heart when she was wagging her tail when she went back into the bubble. She knew she had to be in there but you could see that she was happy and resolved to keep trying. What a little champion

Sally wagged her tail on returning to her bubble after her exercise therapy outside the bubble showed she was pleased with her progress for that day, and tomorrow she will push herself a little more to get herself stronger. Yes when you cant breath you go to the place where you can. I have COPD ,its very frustrating when you cant breth. I use a inabliser that helps. But some times that dosent work good any more. Recently my doc6gave me Breztri. It helps so much. Its expensive even with insurance, but it's worth it

Was hard to watch the pup having to be in the bubble for so long, had me tearing up. It ended up with the perfect family though and will have a great life. Love a story where everyone wins 😊

This thread has nothing to do with health or dietary issues. It's like responding to a post about a dog by saying your grandmother had a dog...and then launching into her medical history, eating habits, and giving advice based on her particular circumstances to people who just wanted to make a comment about a video of a cute dog and its dedicated owner who kept him alive. It is so bizarre!

@TRCI Productions why r u acting like this is a bad thing for cats? That’s like saying you only love children but not adults. Adults take a bit longer to trust and love others whereas literal children will trip over their feet immediately in the desire to be loved. I guess if want desperate or needy love, sure, but plenty of adults are nice are as nice as children when it comes to love.

I held back the tears almost to the end because I really thought Sally’s story was going to have a completely different ending. I’m so happy that she is living a wonderful life. @Swamp Lizard late comment, however it's a matter of funds. The amount needed to take care of a puppy with symptoms like this has to be hundreds if not thousands. And said funds aren't something everyone can afford nor vets can constantly keep having to pay. Not to mention it wasn't guaranteed the puppy would make it. It's great that she made it and is doing well however who knows how slim of a chance that was. A lot of times the most humane thing to do is just to let them go instead of letting them suffer.
for real. vets always just put them down...this was a true hero story.

So much patience and determination in the people caring for this sweet girl. So attentive to her too, following the pup’s pace. And makes me so happy to see Sally be adopted by someone close to the foster parents, and she has a pack! What a sweet baby
My God, just when you think they cant get any cuter. I am head over heels in love with that lil baby. I suffer from a lifetime of severe Asthma myself amongst other respiratory issues, so I know only too well what that poor baby had to go through. Im so relieved that at least she has managed to pull through and is now healthily and happily jumping about. God bless her and her caretakers.

Sally and Kathryn are a huge inspiration, the patience Kathryn had in the whole process, and the perceverance Sally had even though she was having a terrible time breathing. Her motivation to live and explore the world, it's just amazing. I cried like a baby the whole video, thanks so much for sharing.

So sweet. A lot of people would have given up on a pup like that that was completely dependent on oxygen. But that puppy persevered and got so strong and now seems so happy and healthy. Definitely a little but fierce dog.
