I did it in swimming trunks and no shirt at Mt. High years ago… was going so fast I made it across and on the exit it yeeted me into a back flip I landed on my forearm and was bleeding like crazy! It was so much fun… I came in so hot… had way to much speed! I didn’t want to get wet… and it worked out

@Amarillolit for sure man. Its all fun once the tow line goes taut and ya yell "HIT IT!", used to water ski a fair bit down in Florida. Picked it up fairly easy and had a bit more fun learning than those who hadn't quite gotten it down yet. Now im out in Colorado and wanting to give snow sports a whirl, im just not quite built for the cold yet.

It could in theory but a snowboard is actually heavy , plus this hill was way too shallow/not steep to get enough speed for a snowboard.

this brings back memories to my old ski mountain. near the end of the season they would set up exactly this pretty much the same length and all the ski instructors would try to make it across i don't remember if any others made it but every year my ski instructor would clear it easy bro was the coolest ski instructor i had.

A number of resorts will have a "slush cup" but not an open pool of water. The slush makes it easier to cross but a lot colder if you fall in.
Now I’ve been to a bunch of skims throughout the US and I’m not aware of any events that purposely have slush in their pond skims although there are a couple pond skin events called “slush cup”. Where was this event and are you sure it was intentional?

That last guy had experience 😂 he kept his center of gravity low throughout the jump in order to keep his horizontal speed to coast to the finish. The guy just before him tried the same thing, but rather than jumping with low gravity, he just let himself slide with his momentum. Got close tho 😂
They had one of these at a mountain I go to and people line up on either side to watch. The goal was to ride across the water like water skis but some dude messed up and his board flew at my face. I got knocked down but no major injuries. I’m pretty sure they stopped doing that
