  • The most Organised unorganised man on the planet.

    • @Siyo Betro Bet thank you

    • @Siyo Betro Bet ratio

    • @zo347 I'm not the big brain guy, so I did an internet research (because I have time and no life). Actually, his argument is invalid, hence yours too. Disorganized means that it used to be organized, but not anymore; unorganized means a state of being not organized. Ex: I'm so unorganized, I disorganized my room a minute after I organized it.

    • @jimmy bowman because everything is in its exact place but not packed away, having everything out at once usually looks messy

  • Imagine what the intern felt about his internship. He probably thought he was going to learn about movie making and ended up building a painting shelf. ^^

    • I was not a fan of this guy. After seeing how he operates and who he is, I aspire to be like him.

    • Intern made a movie about how to build a painting shelf he became very succesful

    • unpaid

    • 20 times

  • Everything would look like a mess if it wasn't so damn amazingly organized.

    • Negan you killed Glenn!!!!!?

    • everything would be chaos with no labels.

    • Negan it’s a fine line between chaos and clean

  • The thing that really got me motivated me to get off my ass and start organizing my office and garage, was watching Casey's videos. . I realized that me trying to be a perfectionist isn't leading me anywere. . He gets up and gets things done, I just started to apply this and what a difference it has been. Thanks Casey

  • 8 Years later….I am still impressed by the OG studio. It is literally an extension of Casey.

  • "So I build my stuff instead of buying it" "Yeah so here's my $100 tape dispenser"...

    • @Mega Wolfr Hey you made sense, nice answer...

    • @Jared Connell he said why. Because he thought it is cool. His standard is making it himself, unless he sees something he thinks is cool. Instead of the 'conventional' mindset of buying things and making something when we think it's cool.

    • Ikr thats the first thing I thought. I thought he was joking at first. Ljke why pay $100 for that when he could easily make it with scraps he has laying around the shop right now lol

    • Damn you got the whole squad laughing

  • Imagine this man's electricity bill.

    • It's included in the rent, he is lucky

    • Jesus Christ loves you ❤

    • @Ameya Benare I can Imagine

    • @Cory Cota he does, lol.

    • His studio is small industry.

  • I would love to know how Casey (or whoever) dusts the studio. So many things out in the open! I imagine it would take forever!

    • Dust it when you get it out to use it. Otherwise leave it 😂

    • Who dusts anyway

    • @Damon Fong holy shit lmao

    • I was about to comment this question, good thing you already asked. But yeah, how? 🤔

    • As a bloke, that's never entered my mind 😏

  • That place is HUGE for Manhattan!

    • No shitt..... how much does he make?

    • Maybe the owner of the building pays Casey to stay there. Lol 😅

    • Lol 3 years in the making this comment reply section 🤣👍

    • RantZ_IE dude you have never lived in nyc i can tell

  • Been watching Casey for over 8 years now. Came back here to give his inspiration mentors the "props" and shoutout they deserve. Those two people are his older brother Van Neistat and especially Tom Sach.

  • I swear to god, Casey is one of the most functional, productive and successful human beings in this entire nation.

  • "this tape dispenser has suction cups" 3 seconds later : "this table was the door of a world war 2 shipping boat"

  • Builds an $8 table to hold a $100 dollar tape dispenser👍🏼

    • @ThatOnekidd * paper tape, video industry standard

    • @TheLegend 27 true, video matte tape isn't cheap!

    • ThatOnekidd * duck tape

  • You are absolutely one of the most genuine and truly inspiring humans to ever walk planet earth. I mean anyone with a workspace as incredible as that would obviously have to be.

  • Probably my favorite Casey video ever, just shows inside his brilliant mind lol

  • I am super happy I watched this! I never realised how alike I was to Casey and his studio, in terms of making it work and sorting things. I realised Casey quintessentially has my dream studio. I can agree with every single thing he says about making your own stuff, too! The only difference is my studio is also my bedroom and is f*cking tiny! (but I make it work!) this gives me so much more confidence to create and I hope this comes to mind when I get depressed about not having my own house. I know you`ll probably never see this, but; Thanks for sharing what your studio is like and some of the story behind it, Casey!

  • Dude your studio is going to be a museum one day I'm calling it. Really awesome setup!!

  • It’s cool to come back to your channel after so long, I still remember when you first moved into your studio I loved what you where doing I remember when you got ur first boosted board & when you installed that camera to you front door so you could see the ups guy 😭😭so many memories, you would do things sloppy but correct it was cool getting to see what one could do, how far someone was willing to go. Coming back to ur channel after so many years & seeing how far you’ve come is incredible with just a couple thousand subscribers to millions of people it’s crazy to see that growth and I love it because you’ve always kept the same “aesthetic”, the way you do things now is no different which I like & it’s cool seeing more things on the shelves & walls seeing things that where not there, new and improved tech. It’s so cool you kept all the stuff if not most of the stuff, well I hope this message finds you well & keep on rockinn 😎

  • As an unorganized, chaotic creative person it is really inspiring to see how you build your own space and have it be so bloody functional holy shit

  • This is amazing, inspiring and humble. I'm going to rip my studio apart as I'm transitioning from painting to video production and I'm really stuck on how to organize everything and your explanation helps a TON! Gracias Casey! If any users have suggestions, improvements, I'll be building a while - send a message, I'll be sure to document it.

  • "That level of functionality breeds its own aesthetic" - very bauhaus!

  • Your organization and dedication to perfecting your craft is so inspiring! The quality of your work is personified by your true level of professionalism. Method in the madness!

  • I love how organised you are and how logically everything is arranged. I do it for the same reasons. Some may call it OCD, I call it knowing where anything is whenever I need it without wasting time. P.S. The Tamron 24-70 is my favourite lens, too. :)

  • Very cool. Loved how he deciphered his space for the fans. It all has a new meaning! Thanks!

  • " I prefer to make things rather than buying them " *spends $100 on tape dispenser*

    • Hahahahhahahahahahhajajaj

    • HE SAYS HE PREFERS. He has a big business now. I doubt be has the time to make things like he used to.

    • LET IT HAPPEN I

    • the tape dispenser doesn't cost $100, the tape itself does. We have to use that kind of tape in our science lab

    • Now you got what "prefer" means.

  • I can't tell you how impressed I am with your setup.

  • Casey, the type of human, who makes a rolling table out of a door. My respect.

  • I love Casey and love his studio. Please never leave it, even now you’re on the other coast! If you did, it should be kept as a museum! Love seeing the different Casey here from the vlog Casey.

  • CAN WE PLZ GET AN UPDATED VERSION OF THIS!!

  • I've been Watching him since my college Years, and one day I want to make my studio like him, as functional as it could be, so that all time it inspires me to do more creative stuff, This Guy is breaking every Rule of growing on CS-tv, and I Love it

  • " I use everything in my office if I didn't use it, it would be gone." "Alright guys here's my police bat that I painted to look like a candy cane."

    • He clearly is a little paranoid. Maybe he actually thinks they would come to use.

    • broken cameras

    • ahahaha well spotted

    • It's bringing him joy. 'Bringing joy' is a purpose 😀

    • Funny, but I think you’re confusing it a bit. It is used, just not for its intended purpose. Decorations and morale boosting, humor and artistic pieces. Those things all work as a use

  • I really like his 'i don't like software interfaces, i like physical interfaces' approach, honestly i've been in conputer studies for a couple of years and it gets old. What never gets old is the feeling of physically flicking a switch on, though. But i'm useless with physically re-engineering things so i'm stuck with software interfaces lmao

  • Casey could you please make some videos about craftsmanship like you made and showed in this video? It’s really awesome having the skill to create tools to suit your needs like that

  • Love these ideas. Great productivity solutions for an every day video producer but it would be nice to find pads like this with attention to audio production needs too.

  • Blown away. Now I'm going to watch all his vlogs from day 1 onward. This guy is a true inspiration.

  • Wow. Recommended in 2021 and I have to say this is perfectly well put. The height of functionality bringing its own aesthetic is very well explained. Thank you for this Casey

  • He's such a smart guy, goal orientated, driven and a builder. I am inspired

  • Finally!! A month ago now i want to say, i found Casey on youtube and within the first hour of watching his videos i had a mountain of questions that i never had a need to ask my closest friends. With every video i found myself wondering what the wall of photos was about and wanted to know the back story, because in my home town bars they do the same thing (post polaroids) of locals. An of course like a lot of you i was really curious about Casey's studio and how it operates, because i don't have this kind of space in my home town. Thanks +CaseyNeistat

  • Thank you Casey for your service 🇺🇸

  • wow, I never realized we were SOOO much alike when it comes to this. I love for everything to have its own space. Thats my dilemma now in my home office--not enough room! So im always rearranging and making it better and better. Just really got on to Casey but he's a kick ass dude so...Respect! I

  • Love this one, it's inspiring me to try and reconfigure my studio. I have several mediums.. Photography, glass sculpting, and silver, and I have a small photo studio for taking pics of tiny objects

  • You never disappoint with your great ideas

  • I'm in awe. I was looking for this kind of video after seeing video after video of you in this studio and I'm so happy I came across this. Your creativity and functionality fascinate me and I wanted to learn more. The above comment I wrote in the middle of watching because I couldn't help but not type all that out right then and there. Now that I've finished watching this video, I can say that I am in awe still. This was so cool. I find it fascinating how people live their lives. Seeing a glimpse and hearing backstories to many of the things in your studio was just really really neat to me. You're a very interesting and unique person and it is so cool to be exposed to a person such as yourself.

    • Same but I’m about 5 years late lol.

    • Bruno Rivademar I agree completely! He's an extraordinary and inspiring human being

    • Must say i'm in awe too. He's such an extraordinary and inspiring person.. This is great!..

    • +Haley Ivers I couldn't agree more.

  • I like how organized you are and the style that you live by

  • Thank you for saying it's not OCD, it's just being organize, making it a functional space. You're awesome!

  • Years ago I saw an article on a magazine about some the "... brothers", I tried to remember their name, but it faded. The images of the studio stuck, I even remember a small skateboard ramp in it. I was in awe with those pictures, all the stuff in there organized pretty neatly. I just found you channel and I'm 99% sure this is the very same place. Your studio is eye candy to me! I'd love to be there and play, and by "play" I mean create and film stuff ♥

  • I love how I can relate to the functionality of your studio and your productions, less CGI, more dynamic!

  • You are a genius. Most creative & organized studio ever

  • Casey is the type of guy to make a condom instead of buying one!

    • 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😱😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    • Oh no, oh god no

    • Noor Hussain woah there

    • He has playdoe

    • Or maybe just pull it out on time!

  • I'm very impressed by this. Also I'd like to know how does he keep all that stuff clean? He has everything out!

  • when I grow up I wanna be as handy as Casey Neistat. what he has done with his studio is impressive and badass.

  • This guy is awesome I love watching all of his videos, he is organized and clean. That's exactly how I keep my garage nice and organized. Keep it up Casey you are doing an AMAZING job with everything you do!👍

  • This video is the reason so many CS-tvrs have tools, peg board, wall mounted battery chargers etc in their sets. Inspired a generation.

  • Freakin' Genius. Seeing someone who's thinking process operates virtually on the same wavelength as you sorta leaves me speechless. This is my thinking process, evolved. I just gained 10 years of organizational experience by watching this.

  • If there were a zombie apocalypse I would want to stay with Casey in his workshop. DEFINITLY.

  • Fucking HUGE HUGE INSPIRATION you Casey. Best filmmaking-all-by-yourself example out there. Lovely amazing.

  • Lol when I read the title I thought it was irony because Carey's studio always looks so busy and cluttered but now I see just how well set out it is I want to see a 2016 update!!! I wonder how many of the little things like the punching bag are still around

  • Im totally making the workbench and stop motion setup one day. Coolest thing though is probably the light switches for the speaker. I definitely want to figure out how to do that!

  • Teaching others to be successful at livestream and video recording ,Thanks Casey !

  • It's awesome watching this after MKBHD's studio tour to see what's different now and whats remained the same. This studio will become a museum in 50 years I guarantee it!

  • Seriously 150 years from now, this studio will be preserved as a museum in his name and the tour bus that drives by on Broadway everyday will make this a stop; everything he has etched his name on and hacked will be displayed in a glass case. Everything he creates is like an art-piece.

  • A 6 year old video pops up just as I'm about to kit out my brand new 20' shipping container as a storeroom/work space. Great organisational ideals here plus fun space to be. Outstanding ! Thanks for sharing. John

  • I really love looking at those organized wires. Very satisfying

  • This is not a comment on how you decorated your room, this is a comment for how much your sincered and disciplined room gave me motivation... Seriously our bedroom/ workroom/ the whole room thing in our life describes how much our life is disciplined and well mannered... This whole day I was laying on my bed as usual, watching CS-tv on my phone, definitely like a lazy person,....then just two video of yours, one is this, and the other is the video with the navy seal... Just these two videos and boom, it hit me so damn good that I went straight to make my room, decorate it, and from tomorrow with a new hope of productive things are in prime list of my day to day life.... Well done, with just a simple vlog, you just taught me how to swim the sea of life...thanx casey sir... (Sorry for my poor english, I'm still learning English) 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥🔥

  • Jesus Christ Casey, the overhead shooting rig has blown my mind. I've been thinking about building a rig for a while and you've given me a lot to think about (and to kick my arse into building it)

  • Dude... okay, your Studio is completely inspiring me. There are totally some layout changes in my office I'm gonna make after watching this. And oh man!!! The CUSTOMIZATION!!!! Yowza!!!!

  • That moment when you think this is a behind the scenes episode of a tv show, but then you realize this is real life😁

  • Studio goals. What a beautiful creative space. 😍

  • I LOVED this Casey! So much inspiration for my own studio.

  • Damn cool space and setup. It's huge and totally combobulated. I love the wiring and VHS archive, Teenage Mutant Hero Tutrles proudly standing out :) Oh, a crowbar! Nice... in case of unforeseen consequences.

  • This is my favorite video all over the Internet cuz it shows what an incredible genius Casey is

  • Very cool, Love the functionality and the way Casey wires his cables is just... *wow*

  • So insanely jealous of this studio. Amazing!

  • Nice setup Casey. I really enjoyed seeing the studio and learned from that too. Take care.

  • Casey I love your shop, thanks for sharing your experiences. You are great!

  • idk why but the light switch that controls the speaker output is by far my favorite thing he has in his office

  • So much creativity! Love the shop.

  • I just love this video. Love Casey's studio...so wonderful!!

  • I don't have a studio and I probably won't have one however, this space literally the sickest thing ever. The functionality and practicality of everything is genius.

  • Very nice setup! Love the organization!

  • I'm an electrician......the wiring was the first thing I noticed about your studio. I love it! It is also a good idea to be able to follow things! DD

  • This guy at first glance looks like a disorganized guy but he’s on another level of organization

  • your studio is amazing!! I love that every square inch is used in the most useful way!!

  • Absolutely amazing "when you get bored during the day you can hit the speed bag" when do you even have time to be bored oh my gosh this is amazing

  • Crazy studio, but... soooo efficient!! I think it's very important to have all your materials organized, and you can get what you need at the time.

  • Your studio is entirely awesome. I just imagine the rent must be insane!? Anyway, extremely inspiring and it's how I want my studio here in Örsundsbro, Sweden to look some day, lol :) Your videos are awesome & I wish you the best!

    • I read somewhere here it's about 11k/month.

  • You are an inspiration! I would feel blessed to have the opportunity to work beside you!

  • Fantastic!!! Super organized ... LOVE IT!!!

  • As always, completely inspired. Off to create some functionality

  • I’ve just discovered you and your my new idol. The man. What an epic studio! I have a little corner desk in my daughters room to create clips, which I thought was cool! Haha.

  • very cool walkthrough of a very functional studio. love it.

  • Part 2 is actually insane, blowing my mind with creativeness

  • Hey Casey, you should do more videos like this!!!!

  • what i love the most about this is, it looks chaotic, messy, and unorganized, but it is, as the title states, wildly functional

  • I'm a few years late to this video, but this is pure genius and creativity. Respect.

  • Super inspiring Casey! I thouroughly enjoyed this tour.

  • This guy is so fucking cool

  • Man, that is a wildly awesome studio!!!

  • Watching this made everything you do make me love it even more.

  • Definitely one of Caseys most underrated videos on his channel
