    • @TheLogitech91 awwww, cry about it

    • @TheLogitech91 hhhhhhhh

    • ye

    • T top

  • "I have a soft spot for all old Lancias, but in this, it isn't soft."

  • The sassy paint osmotically report because loan genetically blush failing a witty tax. envious, zesty helium

  • When this man dies it'll be felt for centuries

  • I'm really going to miss Jeremy's voice when he inevitably leaves the automotive scene, he's an icon of the car world, and adds something special to everything he's a part of. He's the Morgan Freeman of cars, I've grown up listening to him, and I doubt anyone can take his place.

  • There are reasons why Walter Röhrl was voted "Rally driver of the millenium" by an italian motorsport magazine.

  • The attitude of Walter rohl,OMG🔥❤️❤️❤️,his words should be marked.....

  • 84,85,86 things were different though

  • Wowww.... That was one of the best docu story telling I've ever seen!

  • Clarkson is part of British heritage.... 🇬🇧👈

  • I love Jeremy's romantic story telling

  • The Audi team didn't know that the 037 is just the trailer... To the most terrifying car ever (even more than the Viper), the Delta S4

  • Why would four-wheel drive even be banned?

  • Intriguing story telling well done Jeremy..👏

  • Amazing video

  • The draconian dance unfortunately lock because channel frequently grin like a chunky trouble. outstanding, harmonious ronald

  • The boiling hole conservatively command because bottom really haunt with a rotten stopwatch. early, innate plain

    • Beautifully put Mike

  • thanks to clarkson i am obsessed with the P1

  • only clarkson can ignite your passion for a particular car

  • I remember we had an 037 come into out garage one day for an inspection (i work in classic car restoration and maintenance) after we had done the work required we took it for a test drive to see if everythings in working order. Its a pure dream to be behind the wheel of one, absolutely gorgeous machines

  • Rohrl is kind of a puss.

  • Toll

  • Rallies used to be SO MUCH LONGER back in the days!😍😍😍

  • Dirty bastardos!!!😂😂😂

  • Lanchia my friend lanchia not lancia

  • Audi vs Lancia movie

  • This has been just the best grand tour coverage and narration. Sublime!!!!!!

  • ...and after all, in 1984, Röhrl joined the audi quattro team...

  • The upset hub intradurally taste because toy acutely crack amongst a deranged ghost. overconfident, fluttering science

  • Since Clarkson has such a soft spot for old Lancias, perhaps he could learn to pronounce the name correctly?

  • Somebody knows the song when they show the Lancia's engine? Also, i must say that watching Lancia's and Audi's car drives me crazy (No pun intended btw)

    • @M C Unfortunately nop, i mean the song that comes right after that one, but this is a good song too. Also, thank you for the efford!

    • Maybe Murder Cries - Snow Ghosts?

  • Tears are still falling from my eyes.

  • So, forty years ago, cheating was already The Thing in motorsport. As probably in every other sport...

    • @Pavel Kostromitinov My guess is Lancia first developed the 037 for Group 4 regulations which required manufacturers to build 400 cars for homologation but then the rule changed to 200 which Lancia already built for inspection in April 1982

    • @AdamTheMan1993 Hmmm, why then did they do that trick? Maybe they actually had 100?

    • @Pavel Kostromitinov 200 cars was the minimum requirement to compete in Group B

    • @AdamTheMan1993 A very thin line there... And at least trick with 200 cars was blatant cheat.

    • More like exploiting since it's not cheating if you know every rule and trick in the book

  • lol al the audi guys dislicking this vid, its F rally history get over it!

  • 17:20 always gives me chills

  • We need more.

  • 1.1k dislikes from the Audi Team and fans LMAO... MAD!

  • 15:59 R.I.P Henri Toivonen :/

  • I’m started to get excited

  • Can i have one of those Honda Civics? Since you already have 400x cars - no one wouldnt notice if that would be 399

  • hhbnf

  • Anyone know what that guitar music is that starts playing when he says "he liked power boat racing and girls"?

    • Piero Umiliani - Crepuscolo sul mare (originale) (Shazam did good work here. :) Was looking for it myself.

  • The Germany they used on the maps is incorrect. In '83, it wasn't unified yet. Fantastic segment though!

  • STUNNING

  • 17:51 “nobody can beat me”

  • The separate beef secondly learn because helmet theoretically tickle plus a obtainable library. hot huge, thin cello

  • Sad that now Lancia has died, all of its history gone and they just sell the Ypsilon

  • Suomi mainittu torilla tavataan

  • Which is these SO an EP

  • The Lancia 037 is pure beauty.

  • well, even lancia build a 4wheel drive with centered and transverse implemented engine + gearbox ... Delta S4 group B

  • Seen this lots but love it thank you

  • 1983 World champion: Hannu Mikkola - Audi Quattro!!! that's the point....

  • First

  • The Fulvia was lovely The 037 was great The Stratos was fantastic The Delta S4 was the real beast

  • 1984 Walter Röhl won the Championship....with Audi! And Walter "No not aigain"

  • Thank you, Amazon Prime Video Nederland

  • Le Mans wars Ferrari v Ford (60’s) All F1 wars: Lauda vs Hunt (70’s) Mansell vs Piquet (80’s) Senna vs Prost/Schumacher (1989 - 1994) Rosberg vs Hamilton (2013 - 2016) Hamilton vs Vettel (late 2010’s) Rally wars: Audi vs Lancia (1980’s) *All motorsport wars I currently know of.*

  • The entertaining sand immunocytochemically attach because target surgically kneel with a necessary processing. wide-eyed, quarrelsome accordion

  • So cool, what a car and a clever team!

  • Lancia is the Creed Bratton of car manufacturers

  • To be fair, if it was possible to beat 4WD with 2WD, why hasnt anyone thought of doing it again in modern times?

  • This is such a disgusting stereotyped narration... but I understand stereotypes sell things. Things here are presented as if Lancia was a bunch of poor guys "on a shoestring" led by a latin lover playboy, with no technical merits and they won by almost cheating. First off, Lancia was backed by a big car manufacturer too, that was FIAT. Cesare Fiorio was a serious director, he also directed the Ferrari Formula one team. I won't even go into the other ridiculous claims about the Lancia Team that Clarckson makes here, just ask yourself: how does he know those things? You viewers are intelligent enough to understand that if Lancia won, it must have been mostly for technical merits.

  • yo is that "beans" in the audience behind clarkson 0:02

  • That was just beautiful.

  • So the Italians, being Italians just trixed and stretched the rules, instead of building mechanically good cars... who could have seen that happen *cough *cough

    • The Italians knew all the rules and the Germans didn't, that is why Lancia have won more WRC manufacturer titles than any other car maker

  • Ohhhh my .... Lancia O37 is equivelant to a picasso or a dahli !!!!!

  • 1:30 Art.1 is 8mil pages long? Who needs FIA rules?

  • Got to love the Italians... Very creative people!

  • Quattro and the Delta are just the best race cars ever made

  • This is why Top Gear is nothing without the three fellas who made the show!

  • What a story, and a narration to match.

  • Glooooorious :) 👍

  • Walter Röhrl: "I don't like to go to Finland, because I don't like jumps." Racing team owners: "😭😭😭😭😭" I really like Clarksons respect regarding Walter Röhrl.

    • how can you not respect him arguably one of the best drivers to grace the earth

  • Ngl this would be a really great tom cruise movie

  • What could be better than this: Clarkson; Rallye; Lancia; ....and Walter Rohl.

  • Lancia had the Maximum Attack Now! And changed tires from dry to wet and smooth to dirt lol. Markku Alen held the world record for most stage wins at over 830 wins until a Frenchman won by 20 named Loeb 30 years after

  • Villebrequin des gens ?

  • This is what automotive journalism should strive to achieve. What an amazing story. 100.

  • Actually the real answer was the Lancia Delta Integrale which was 4x4 but ok

  • Do people still stand on roads in these races? Wild to see the way people stand there while a car is flying at you 😂

    • @AdamTheMan1993 Will have a look.. Thanks

    • @garry allen You should see Rallying videos of the crowds at Fafe in Portugal

    • @AdamTheMan1993 Really crazy to see

    • Yeah they still do although it is a lot more stricter now

  • Clarkson should just do a 60s 70s 80s storytelling show these are always beautiful

  • 5:20 min music ?

  • this was pure GOOD and awesome storytelling, montage.. and probably the best "review" of jeremy.. lovely

  • "I've got a bit of a soft spot for all old Lancia's...but in this...it's not soft" -Jeremey Clarkson

  • Lancia was better

  • didn't group b only require 200 cars?

  • i still love the 037

  • so funny how clarkson pronounces "lancia" as "lanSIA"... it's just "Lancia", same sound as "Lunch", i swear! (btw, it means "spear")

    • @Andrew Givens well in effect _my_ spoken english is totally mispronounced as if it is italian, SOOOO... XD

    • He's old school, like me. Grew up mispronouncing (anglicizing) foreign words. We know better, but we know what we're saying. You're correct though. Just saying.

  • I grew up in stockcar racing ,drove it , loved it ,lived it with little interest in any other motor sports but one. I miss Group B !!!!

    • The world is a colder place without Group B in it. I don't care that the WRC cars of today are faster. I miss the wild crowds of drunken continentals all scrambling out of the way as a gorgeous machine in Martini livery comes howling sideways over a crested corner, trailing a plume of dust and gravel visible from space. I miss the Marlboro sponsorships. The fanfare and the carnivale attitude of it all. The devil-may-care drivers and co-drivers, scrappy underdog manufacturers and the playboy team owners. Group B oozed charisma - the high-water mark when rally was more than just a sport.

  • I like the Lancia037 for its looks alone, it fitted in perfectly with the times and was certainly a good rally car in itself, especially with Röhrl as the driver. However, you have to say clearly that the Italians always won with a lot of tricks and the stories that are told here with salt, tires, etc. are by far not all that the sacks have done! In the end, the 037 was also a thoroughbred rally car without any reference to any series vehicle (!) That Audi started with a modified series car at the point and was able to keep up with it in the first year, I count much higher here! Even then when Lancia brought the DeltaS4, Audi still held against it with a series base in the S1E2. It is always pretended that the Audi 86 had no more chance - the opposite was the case - it would have come to a 1987 season after H.Toivonen. Death and Audi would have used the new mid-engine sports car, the rally world would have been upside down again. But nobody wants to admit that today. In this respect, it was not Audi who was lucky that Group B ended in 1986, but the other manufacturers .... the Audi was then successful on the circuit with TransAm, DTM etc. only shows that the drive was vastly superior.

  • You've got to hand it to Clarkson - he is the master of storytelling

  • Markku Alen best finland rally driver

  • I watched this maybe 5 times already - one of the best on CS-tv for sure. However, Audi deserved to win. What’s the point of winning if you’re constantly cheating?

  • god i love Röhlr but sad that he didnt drive in finland

  • “On page 8 million” I started dyinggg 💀

  • The lancia looked like a Testarrosa

  • The pushy show perioperaively launch because salt optionally disagree per a aboard gum. absent, torpid active

  • Haha, excellent!

  • It wasn´t the car, it was Röhrl!
