Had to do that with a basic cutter and I only weighed 115. So freaking hard to do. This would have been so helpful.

I really don't think they shrink the hole before you putt. It's been my experience that they shrink the hole just after you made the putt and the ball is on it's way to the hole. I've heard giggling and snickers numerous times....

I'm not "supposed" to say this..... but that's my job..... yeah I go around to each hole shrink each hole by 33% then I make it regular size after you get to the next tee box.....
As a kid I used to sneak onto our local cc and move the cups to challenging spots.

I remember watching the PGA Tour and Someone damaged a hole like this, and they replaced it so quickly and they showed it on TV being replaced. It was so interesting to see.
The most impressive part of that whole operation, is how do you get the rattle can to spray upside down?! 😂
Old school, had two halves to the cutter and you had to pound each half down with a heavy rubber mallet. 18 plus 5 on the practice green. Good right arm workout.
Had something similar, expect we kicked the shit out of it until it was fully in the ground 😂
That's what I did like 20 years ago. And our greens weren't super great so there was a lot of rocky soil to go through.

I’ve done this. Pretty cool. Worked cutting grass on a golf course once upon a time. The putting green, grows into of sand. It’s the craziest thing!

Did you wonder what they did with the divot they removed? It is kept and used to fill the old hole on the green. Greenskeepers change the placement of the holes on greens to make the course more challenging for the golfers.
After this I knew why everyone say everything is art
