  • Unbelievable athlete for sure. Epic speed. However, no one talks about his endurance. Not just super fast but to play offense and defense. It's very rare!

    • Roy Jet Stream Green, St. Louis, 1979 to 1986.

    • You forgot he played baseball on day and football the next

    • Nobody haven't done it since and baseball at the same time.. Dude was a beast.

    • Hey you are forgetting something else. Deion also played in MLB also!!!!

    • Deion didn’t just play baseball. He was an MLB starter and all-star. Context is everything.

  • Man played 88 snaps, then flew to New York to play for the Yankees the same day! Best athlete to ever live

    • Bo Jackson begs to differ

    • Him and Bo for sure.

    • He also did that when he played for the falcons and the braves several times

    • @@yodaddi2607db is a lot harder than rb + Deion played both sides of the ball

    • @@yodaddi2607deion in the hall of fame with 2 super bowl rings wtf bo got?

  • I'm 45 years old, and Deion Sanders was in his NFL football prime right when I was in high school playing football myself. Deion Sanders was the most talented cornerback to have ever played. Think about how famous he is, then remember he plays DEFENSE.

    • I’m 42. We grew up at a special time. Neon Deion, Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, the list goes on and on. Of all the freakishly good athletes we got to watch in their prime Deion was just different. Michael was the same way. “They play a game I am not familiar with” is a golf quote but applies to MJ and Neon Deion perfectly. I love the cult following Jordan’s have maintained to this day. I remember having all of them. We wore the shit out of them but I wish I would have thought ahead and realized how valuable it would be today. Absolute icons.

    • @@austinyoung7020Gotta put Barry Sanders up there too.

    • Well said. Good stuff

  • “You don’t try me in the end zone…… you got to proceed with caution” 🔥🔥

  • Deion talked all that $hit but he backed every damn letter of it up. Go prime🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯

  • This is why he’s the Greatest corner of all time. His team mates would pick the ball and go backwards just to find 21 and give him the ball. That’s crazy man

  • When Deion says "get the ball to primetime" even the opposing teams QB's listened

  • The high step and dance never gets old😂

    • From the 20 before even approaching the goal line is crazy ! Lol

    • Never. 😂and Shedeur’s trying his heart out to do it. He’ll perfect it at some point

    • 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

  • man playing both sides of the ball like its high school...absolute GOAT

  • I feel pretty fortunate to have Prime Time , Bo Jackson, Jordan and Iron Mike in my child hood.

  • Primetime was born to play football. He is where the term “shutdown corner” came from. Greatest CB of all time

  • Deon played smart football .Not over aggressive or dirty ,didn't have to tackle hard to put fear in you and dominated the opposing receivers. I believe he is the greatest corner off all-time A two way player that demanded the most attention on both sides of the ball. Truly the the best I've seen.

  • The craziest thing about some of his INT highlights is at first you think "what was that qb thinking, that was a terrible pass." Then you realize that Deion was coming off his man and picking off a throw to a receiver that he wasn't originally covering....his speed and vision was unreal

    • l

    • My 10 yr old son just said.. "These QBs suck!!" So I read him your post. Thanks.

    • @@frankpascarella5298 as a father ill admit, there is nothing better than proving your son wrong. 🤣🤣 its a selfish but good feeling. Haha

    • He was waiting to see if the qb was going to throw across the body to the weak side, after his coverage gets help from the high safe. You cant put as much juice on the ball like that. And against an elite, you will get picked.

    • You got that right 💯👍🏿

  • Deion was just a amazing athlete. He played in a World Series game and NFL game hours apart! Amazing 👏 🙀

    • He's the only athlete to hit a home run in the World Series and score a TD in the Super Bowl.

  • to those too young to have seen this guy live, yes, he was really *that* much faster than everyone else. It was INSANE

  • That man cut thru traffic better than anyone I’ve ever seen. Literally the best defensive player ever to play

  • His personality, visions and athleticism is 🔥

  • Deion was my absolute favorite player growing up. Man, he was so damn fast. And not just fast, he had insane acceleration. You could see him just turn it on and he'd be gone.

  • This man out ran everyone while high stepping half the time🤣

    • Faster than anyone on OFFENSE. He only wishes he was fast as Darrell Green!!!

    • Blackshirt- D You make it sound as though Green would simply dust Deion and run away from him. But according to what times we have for both of them, it's pretty close. It would appear at their peaks, Green was right around .2 seconds faster than Deion in regard to 40 yard and 100 yard times. So something more like a photo finish with Green ever so slightly taking a clear enough lead to establish a winner. But yeah, Darrell Green could flat burn and had stamina for days.

    • crazyworld54321 but Deion ran that 40 without stretching...REMEBER he hopped out tha limo ran it and hopped back in

    • Jonathan Price from the 40 yard line..lol

    • Watch the clips. He was playing like a safety, though he had the hands of a WR and ran like a RB/HB. He knew how the QB threw and how the WR played. He covered the top WR and would shut him down, what he lacked in bulk and tackling he made up in speed they didn't even show his pass deflection stats. He could get away with not playing tight cause he'd pick off or deflect it. Too bad Atlanta didn't have an offense plugg that defense with they're offense now oh man 19-0 heck they'd go 40-0 before losing. Dion wouldn't of allowed that comeback back two seasons ago.

  • his years in SF he was the most dominant defensive player in the NFL, it was crazy how he influenced a game. Those were his best years, he was so good, a CB has never been better than that.

    • Cap champ bailey was that and its a few others he was great tho

    • @@mucleboy0151 shut up please… champ was my guy but please stop

  • Deion has to have the most swag in NFL history

    • Proven by the fact that he's birthed several generations of players who continue to emulate his swag to this very day!

  • Sports is ultimately entertainment, this man was simply entertaining and a joy to watch. As a 9er fan I'll always be grateful for his 94 season with us

    • As a Falcons fan, I'm glad I wasn't alive to see Deion leave Atl and then stare down the entire Falcons players and coaches while dancing into the endzone off a pick-6... Bittersweet watching that, but Primetime is my favorite player ever. He is the DB that every other DB wants to be. Top 5 player oat imo.

  • "When you get 21 on your team, you win." Lol He said he had to make wr's look open, so the qb would even throw his way. Everyone knows he was, and still is, the 🐐

    • He had great closing speed.

    • @@mox9076 that pick he had against Seattle was 🔥🔥 that wasn't even his receiver he out ran the wr and picked it off...the goat

    • Lol this is funny and I remember playing Madden on like All-Pro level and I always play Corner or Safety, Whenever I’m in Man I always gave the receiver an extra bit of space so he looks open which tricks the CPU QB into throwing to him, Not knowing the whole time I’m ready to pick it off lol Primetime really playing Madden in real life lol

  • At 2:05 When Jerry Granville said “I hope he dances 3 times a game”. I couldn’t stop laughing 😂 Primetime really used to score in so many different ways it’s remarkable

  • The only player in NFL history to score a TD six different ways.

    • get your facts right, Bill Dudley also did

    • don't forget al bundy

    • U should add IN SIX DIFFERENT WAYS "WITH STYLE". So that no one complains.

    • @@victorzuniga5187 Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in a single game when he was the starting fullback at Polk High

  • That dude was something else! Fast, quick, smart, great ball skills, a defensive back that actually caught the ball when it hit his hands! The footwork and moves. Straight talent 👏🏽

  • Seeing him play Wr is always shocking to me he really had some great hands!

    • as a kid I first saw him as a WR and as I got older had to research the rest of his greatness defensively

  • He came in the league and before he played his first game, he knew he was gonna be an all time great. Legend.

  • 2 of the things I love most about Prime is that Bobby Bowden said that he's the hardest working player he ever coached and that he loves being a teammate! I hope that all the people that thought he was selfish a bad teammate and didn't tackle have learned that those things were never true!

  • Man, Atlanta Deion was so light on his feet he could run on snow without leaving footprints.

  • Deion always blew me away with his speed. It never looked like he was ever running his fastest, but it was more than fast enough to burn everyone who was on the field with him. Absolute legend, absolutely deserving of his spot in the Hall of Fame!

    • There was only 1 player that I saw that could out run Dion Sanders. That was Randy Moss! Randy Moss ran a 4.25 and Dion ran a 4.27

  • God I remember playing backyard football as a preteen through teen years watching him in the cowboys and would just pretend I was him with my cowboys jersey on with the scorching heat wearing a white long sleeve and playing on offense and defense being lined up!!This man is just a legend no more words

  • Coach Prime, every recruit should watch this. Absolute legendary.

  • Man’s ability to accelerate and decelerate at those speeds is a marvel.

  • There's a Deion Sanders story from the 1989 NFL Draft that has gotten brought up every year since. The New York Giants told Sanders to do a written test and they said they expect all rookies to do, as It was their way of getting them locked in. Deion asked New York what pick they had and they said the 10th pick in the draft and that's when Sanders had an amazing response. "I don't have time for this I'II be gone before then."

  • i love how when other guys get the pick they try to find deion and give him the ball

  • 15:22 10 Defensive Touchdowns, 9 Kick Return Touchdowns, 3 Receiving Touchdowns & 39 MLB Home Runs! Absolutely incredible! Somehow he garnered so much hate and criticism, and we all know why that is. 😉✊🏾

    • nah it ain’t no skin color, it’s just he acted different than everyone in the NFL, his energy was like something the nfl had never seen, it’s more normal today thanks to him.

    • @@Braylenc123 It could be both. Any player would get that criticism but the fact it was a black player made it even worse

    • Absolutely not. People hate people who are better than them. Sanders was professionally better.

  • Dude was a GOAT in a handful of different uniforms 😭 Definitely Top 5 greatest athletes DOA.

  • Best player of all time, point blank period. No other player could effect all 3 phases of the game like he did. Defense, Special teams and Offense!!!

  • This dude was the top of the top with all the best temptations in the world and vices and he didn't drink or do drugs and rarely used curse words. That in itself is amazing. And lets not talk about playing football and the a baseball game in the world series on the same day. Like what!??!!?

  • 13:47 was crazy. Deion fell down, got back up and chased the guy to force a fumble and got his team the ball back. Just wow!

    • Prime Time

    • Yeah that was nuts haha holt finally gets one on dion and yet still dion gets the ball hahaha

  • I’ve always been so grateful that the league let’s these dudes run back an INT if their on the ground and don’t get touched unlike college where your down if you go down… it’s made for some of the best plays ever

  • One of my favorite sports players of all time. He’s excelling as a head coach as well. Keep striving Coach Prime.

  • He was the best player to ever play. Offense, defense, he was unstoppable

  • Deion was literally playing two professional sports at the same time. He was playing for the Falcons on Sundays and the Braves on the other days of the week.

  • Probably the only DB to be an NFL Superstar! And that's without even looking at his crazy stats!

  • Deion to NFL is like Iverson to NBA bringing the swag 🔥😎

    • thats so true. those 2 are so much alike. they play different sports but bring the same energy. plus both are very underrated

    • Tom Ross TV I understand Iverson didn't win a championship. But understand what he did for the culture. His influence was heavier than anyone since Jordan. That's the SWAG arm sleeve tattoos play style the image flashy Deion the bandanas dancing jewelery. R.I.P. Kobe though also another icon.

    • Facts!! Prime was the reason I wore 21 growing playing football and AI the reason I started playing basketball #80sbaby

    • I said the samething💯

    • I wanna say Magic Johnson and Deion Sanders are equivalents Biggest smiles in the world, loads of charisma, ultra flashy highlight reels, both born in August, and loved and respected by all generations from the boomers to millennials

  • Deion Sanders a true legend of football

  • And to think this man is even better as he’s aged. #LEGEND # peridot

  • He made it look so easy! Incredible

  • How da hell there is 1500 people who dislike Deon? I just don't get it - how hard you must hate football not to embrace his greatness? He is No 1 Corner ever. Period.

  • Imagine being this man’s son! 💪🏾

  • It's hard to be one of the top interception leaders when teams don't want to throw the ball to your side

    • I dont get why QBs still threw towards champ bailey tho

    • @@onlyrog5 Bailey's best year he was thrown at less than 30 times

  • No matter what team he was playing, he was their best WR.

  • I love how Dallas actually used him on offense

  • The best to play the position hands down. Period.

  • Love how if the defense got the ball by fumble or INT they would try to give it to Deion! One of a kind

  • Best athlete in nfl history to me

  • Only man to ever highstep 60 yards

  • It was an honor to have watched one of the greats play the game. The elecricity in the air was palpable whenever Deion was on the field. ANYTHING was possible. I would've loved to have had him in kelly green. Go birds!

  • I swear to God, the 80s and 90s have some of the most iconic athletes of all time, MJ, Iron Mike, and Prime Time

  • Great documentary video of Deion Sanders for me he's the best & greatest cornerback off all-time. Unbelievable athlete & humble person. The talent & ability to play other positions as we'll, it's just incredible. Great football record history, I just wondered if he would've played for the '99 - 2001 Rams next to QB Kurt Warner. The Greatest Show on Turf 🏈🔥💯🏆

  • He was epic as hell.. earned that name “Primetime”. For sure!…

  • Puts a smile on my face just knowing I got to see this man play growing up

  • I swear deion is the only person I can listen to talk about themselves in the 3rd person ...His confidence is refreshing.."..their about to go up 14-0 and they try prime in the endzone...1st of all dats idiotic.."🤣🤣🤣😂😂

  • he was the missing piece to every team 💪

  • 5:42 - Deion Sanders' Falcons Career Stats. Remembered! He played less regular season games (NFL) because he was playing with Braves in the Playoffs (MLB). He is the greatest Cornerback, and was an absolute joy to watch.

  • His football IQ is still underrated. To this day! To this day! My man was literally covering other people, glance back, broke stride, and came to intercept balls like he was running downhill. No slight but it's a wonder he has feet. The torque and pressure on his toes, ankles, tendons, ligaments, and so on was insane.

  • I loved and was a fan of so many athletes growing up as a kid, but Deion Sanders was the one I wished I could be.

  • Deion once said "Water covers ⅔ of the Earth. I cover the rest." 🔥🔥🔥🔥

  • Primetime goes to SF, they win the super bowl Then he goes to Dallas, they win the super bowl. Thats not coincidence

    • But he stays in atlanta and wins nothing

    • They were the top 2 teams in the NFL at the time. They already had a great chance without him.

    • Yes but without him they lost to eachother dion put them over the top.

    • Sure wish he could have got us one in ATL

  • As a Cowboys fans watching Deion Sanders highlights with us is like Heaven💯

  • Summerall and Madden calling a game with Deion in it is my childhood and I loved it!

  • Deon made being a cornerback Kool when I was growing up!nobody wanted to be a running back or quarterback outside when we played football, everyone jumped in front of the receiver screaming "I'm Deon! Today",pickoffs became cooler than catching or throwing touchdowns. Thanks for making that position fun to play💪💯.

  • My favorite Deion highlight is that catch vs Green Bay around the 9:00 mark of this video. He ain’t get in the end zone but his stop & start hesitation moves were epically fun to watch. Especially w the defender being in a washing machine.

  • THAT'S HOW YOU SET THE STAGE RIGHT THERE...TO COME TO DALLAS AND SET IT OFF FOR US... THAT WAS SPECIAL..💯💙🏆

  • His most important highlights are the ones no one sees or pays attention too: when he completely shuts down a WR for 0 catches.

  • OMG!! Beautiful upload. Oh, he played professional baseball at a high level too. Greatest athlete/entertainer of all time.

  • Prime was like the LeBron of the NFL, so great when he showed up you getting a chip. Love Deion and Barry, my favs!

  • No more beautiful athlete than this man moving on that field in his prime! How we love and miss Prime Time Neon Deion here in Georgia!

  • Damn , took the ball from rice . This man was the greatest to ever play this position. And punt returner. Just gracefully and mesmerizing. Amazing !

  • As a 49er fan. The most exciting year in 49ers history was with Dion...Young was my favorite growing up but the addition of Sanders was the entire difference in them winning in '94. I wish they had kept him. If they had they would have won one or two more

  • I love the fact that he could still outrun you while he's showboating.

    • Highsteps from the 40, crazy

  • Absolutely just a raw athlete man. Primetime baby 😎

  • I remember he had tuff toe the whole season with Dallas and he still out ran everyone and still shut down everyone playing CB i was really impressed back then.

  • This is truly a masterpiece

  • It is insane to believe at any point in the NFL of all sports all you needed was one player on your team in that area to get a Super Bowl Deion sanders he was that impactful. You can’t even say that in today’s game at all.

  • Absolute legend!!! No question about it

  • The greatest player to ever put on a pair of cleats and uniform!!!! There will never be another player like him.

    • I honestly can say after the 2nd time watching this, I feel the same way

  • Greatest athlete of all time... athletic, smart and entertaining

    • Umm...no. There are athletes out there that played 3 and 4 sports at the highest level compared to Deion's 2.

  • The laterals both to Deion and from him were unreal!

  • Phenomenal athlete and man.

  • I'm 44 and can't believe the athletes we had; Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Wayne Gretzky, etc. It was like the greatest players decided to play in the same era.

  • Love this man in his prime he was/Is something special.. Goated for All-Time.. He is even growing JSU up to be a great football program as well.

  • I wish Deion knew what it meant to me to watch his first punt for a touchdown. I was 10 years old and sitting in Fulton County Stadium. It was the first time I went to a game. The impression he left on me was epic. He was my childhood hero and will always be my favorite player. The 92 season was the most fun I've ever had watching football. I have nothing but love for the man who started my love for the game.

    • I was so excited to see him play live on tv for the first time. then I learned that teams refused to throw to his side of the field. one a lateral for a yard. eventually, I was surprised when they actually threw at him again. pick 6. fucking epic. talk about domination. it was surreal to see a team completely ignore one side of the field and become crippled in their playcalling.

    • @@meenamjah 💀💀💀💀

  • What an enigma this guy was, watching it all in his prime. I remember watching various sports as a kid in Atlanta--MLB, NBA, NFL--waiting to hear news about when Deion would put on cleats again. He'd do something tell everybody he's playing baseball now, but change his mind, join your favorite team, and actually pick off 6 passes in just over half a season and shut down every receiver all the way through it. After him and Andre Rison were the only bright spots for us (Atlanta), I watched as he joined SF and Dallas as the final piece to elite teams. He didn't just show up and play very good football, though. He literally made it so that quarterbacks didn't look to his side of the field. They invented the term 'shutdown corner' to describe Deion Sanders effect on the entire gameplan of the opposing team. It was crazy to watch, because as SOON as a QB was like I have to go over there at some point and tries it--you see Deion skipping down the sideline three seconds later, all the way to three Super Bowls.

  • Rare athlete for any generation. Crazy part about Prime in his prime was the fact that he performed on the top level not only in the NFL, but in the MLB as well!

  • I’m a diehard Giants fan being a New Yorker but I gotta give Dion credit where credit’s due. I always admired his playing ability and his touchdown dances were all after a high stepping touchdown Loved that lateral 👍
