When Deion says "get the ball to primetime" even the opposing teams QB's listened
😂
🤣
😂
HAHAHAHAH BECAUSE THE QBs ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO THROW IT TO HIM BUT HE IS SO GOOD THAT IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS ON PURPOSE HAHAHAHA I GET THE JOKE HAHAHAHA
Nice
Unbelievable athlete for sure. Epic speed. However, no one talks about his endurance. Not just super fast but to play offense and defense. It's very rare!
Offense, defense, special teams AND ALL STAR baseball player💥💥💥💥💥
Dumb speed bro
Multiple sports
Prime was the man…..but yo know he really never played much offense right. He was not a 2 way player no ones played 2 way in the NFL full time since like the 50’s
And baseball.
The craziest thing about some of his INT highlights is at first you think "what was that qb thinking, that was a terrible pass." Then you realize that Deion was coming off his man and picking off a throw to a receiver that he wasn't originally covering....his speed and vision was unreal
@Dominique Jones no doubt
@HokiePitcher22 🤣🤣🤣
Deion is 1 of the gr8test athletes
Exactly he was so fast
Deion was making the GREATEST QB’s have Tantrums 😂
Greatest CORNERBACK OF ALL-TIME!
CORNERBACK?? NAH GREATEST NFL PLAYER
It's universally known
@mynemesis Hi there buddy. Notice that I was replying not to the original poster who did in fact say "Greatest CORNERBACK OF ALL-TIME!", but to another comment that said Deion was the best PLAYER of all time. Deion may very well be the best cornerback of all time, although a case could be made for Nighttrain Lane. To say outright that he is hands down the best PLAYER of all time including all positions is stretching things a bit. Maybe you should take a look at your own reading abilities before being a douchebag in the comments.
@Acid Wizard he said cornerback Y'all can't read
No question
I feel pretty fortunate to have Prime Time , Bo Jackson, Jordan and Iron Mike in my child hood.
Michael Jackson, Arnold, Stallone, 89 cent bread a
Yet some people had Jim Brown, Wilt Chamberlin, and Mohammad Ali in their childhood. I would take those three over any three mentioned.
So true!!!
Whew
Gretzky on the humble too. 🤫
Deion talked all that $hit but he backed every damn letter of it up. Go prime🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
This man out ran everyone while high stepping half the time🤣
prime put in the end zone that’s the thing lol
Yeah he was Usain Bolt style before Bolt back then for football with the super speed mixed with fun time showboating😁 They're both Leos too!! Bolt has the same birthday as Wilt Chamberlain as well. Crazy!!!
@Bako the great what I said?
@Brandon M .2 not 2.0
J
man playing both sides of the ball like its high school...absolute GOAT
I'm 45 years old, and Deion Sanders was in his NFL football prime right when I was in high school playing football myself. Deion Sanders was the most talented cornerback to have ever played. Think about how famous he is, then remember he plays DEFENSE.
His personality, visions and athleticism is 🔥
Deion always blew me away with his speed. It never looked like he was ever running his fastest, but it was more than fast enough to burn everyone who was on the field with him. Absolute legend, absolutely deserving of his spot in the Hall of Fame!
Deon played smart football .Not over aggressive or dirty ,didn't have to tackle hard to put fear in you and dominated the opposing receivers. I believe he is the greatest corner off all-time A two way player that demanded the most attention on both sides of the ball. Truly the the best I've seen.
The only player in NFL history to score a TD six different ways.
@sydboski are you dense? He scores a running touchdown
@sydboski it’s 147 comments I got tired
Man played 88 snaps, then flew to New York to play for the Yankees the same day! Best athlete to ever live
That man cut thru traffic better than anyone I’ve ever seen. Literally the best defensive player ever to play
Primetime was born to play football. He is where the term “shutdown corner” came from. Greatest CB of all time
The high step and dance never gets old😂
This is why he’s the Greatest corner of all time. His team mates would pick the ball and go backwards just to find 21 and give him the ball. That’s crazy man
Only man to ever highstep 60 yards
....that wasnt wearing a german uniform
@GitPusher 🤣
Only man in history to run his 40 yd dash while high stepping
I was just thinking that... he was floating
Na fr lol
He came in the league and before he played his first game, he knew he was gonna be an all time great. Legend.
his years in SF he was the most dominant defensive player in the NFL, it was crazy how he influenced a game. Those were his best years, he was so good, a CB has never been better than that.
@Mucleboy01 shut up please… champ was my guy but please stop
Cap champ bailey was that and its a few others he was great tho
"When you get 21 on your team, you win." Lol He said he had to make wr's look open, so the qb would even throw his way. Everyone knows he was, and still is, the 🐐
Lol this is funny and I remember playing Madden on like All-Pro level and I always play Corner or Safety, Whenever I’m in Man I always gave the receiver an extra bit of space so he looks open which tricks the CPU QB into throwing to him, Not knowing the whole time I’m ready to pick it off lol Primetime really playing Madden in real life lol
@Mox that pick he had against Seattle was 🔥🔥 that wasn't even his receiver he out ran the wr and picked it off...the goat
He had great closing speed.
Sports is ultimately entertainment, this man was simply entertaining and a joy to watch. As a 9er fan I'll always be grateful for his 94 season with us
“ It’s Monday night football and it’s Deion Sanders what else is new “ God bless Deion Sanders for playing football
13:47 was crazy. Deion fell down, got back up and chased the guy to force a fumble and got his team the ball back. Just wow!
Yeah that was nuts haha holt finally gets one on dion and yet still dion gets the ball hahaha
Prime Time
At 2:05 When Jerry Granville said “I hope he dances 3 times a game”. I couldn’t stop laughing 😂 Primetime really used to score in so many different ways it’s remarkable
Deon added that special element of excitement to the NFL! Fun memories watching him play. Legend!
Imagine being this man’s son! 💪🏾
Deion was just a amazing athlete. He played in a World Series game and NFL game hours apart! Amazing 👏 🙀
He's the only athlete to hit a home run in the World Series and score a TD in the Super Bowl.
i love how when other guys get the pick they try to find deion and give him the ball
Dem boys #22 #29 on 2:30 had chemistry that play shit perfect
Deion to NFL is like Iverson to NBA bringing the swag 🔥😎
Deion was legitimate great, Iverson barely shot over 40 percent
Great analogy yes
Absolutely. He brought the swag to the game just like Iverson did to the NBA. Gotta love it. 💯
@thelegendary1 That’s A Legit Comparison Too, I’ve Never Thought Of That One
I thought the same shit
Deion was my absolute favorite player growing up. Man, he was so damn fast. And not just fast, he had insane acceleration. You could see him just turn it on and he'd be gone.
The swagger Deion had was unparalleled. Fire for the entire team.
That dude was something else! Fast, quick, smart, great ball skills, a defensive back that actually caught the ball when it hit his hands! The footwork and moves. Straight talent 👏🏽
God I remember playing backyard football as a preteen through teen years watching him in the cowboys and would just pretend I was him with my cowboys jersey on with the scorching heat wearing a white long sleeve and playing on offense and defense being lined up!!This man is just a legend no more words
15:22 10 Defensive Touchdowns, 9 Kick Return Touchdowns, 3 Receiving Touchdowns & 39 MLB Home Runs! Absolutely incredible! Somehow he garnered so much hate and criticism, and we all know why that is. 😉✊🏾
nah it ain’t no skin color, it’s just he acted different than everyone in the NFL, his energy was like something the nfl had never seen, it’s more normal today thanks to him.
I swear deion is the only person I can listen to talk about themselves in the 3rd person ...His confidence is refreshing.."..their about to go up 14-0 and they try prime in the endzone...1st of all dats idiotic.."🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Deion Sanders confidence is sky high it is a Alish
@Jeremi Anderson Rickey was the pioneer of speaking of himself in 3rd person.
Primetime has the it factor ×10 what a show he puts on a game.Qb where dumb to throw his way.Td has a corner.Td as wr.Td as a punt returner.Td as a kick off guy and played baseball. He is a legend
Or Rickey Henderson?
I watched this guy's whole time in the NFL. He was unreal.
Deion has to have the most swag in NFL history
Proven by the fact that he's birthed several generations of players who continue to emulate his swag to this very day!
Great documentary video of Deion Sanders for me he's the best & greatest cornerback off all-time. Unbelievable athlete & humble person. The talent & ability to play other positions as we'll, it's just incredible. Great football record history, I just wondered if he would've played for the '99 - 2001 Rams next to QB Kurt Warner. The Greatest Show on Turf 🏈🔥💯🏆
Seeing him play Wr is always shocking to me he really had some great hands!
as a kid I first saw him as a WR and as I got older had to research the rest of his greatness defensively
3:41 "that's not very smart"...for the ordinary person. For the extraordinary person it's exceptional. 🏈😎💯
People would literally intercept it than toss it to dion😂
Literally huh?
😂😂😂😂
That’s pretty normal
2 of the things I love most about Prime is that Bobby Bowden said that he's the hardest working player he ever coached and that he loves being a teammate! I hope that all the people that thought he was selfish a bad teammate and didn't tackle have learned that those things were never true!
Who in the world would give a thumbs down? Deion is one of the greatest. Thumbs Up all the way.
And to think this man is even better as he’s aged. #LEGEND # peridot
One of the very best CB, he definitely in a class by himself, it was definitely a pleasure watching him play. 😊👍
Liked your comment but out of respect wanted to keep it at 21
U said one of the best u wrong the best hands down period nobody is even close
I loved and was a fan of so many athletes growing up as a kid, but Deion Sanders was the one I wished I could be.
Deion Sanders imo is one of the greatest athletes of all time. He can play baseball and was decent, could play wide reciever and a pretty good one at that, and hes the greatest cornerback of all time. The dude was a walking highlight reel. His nickname primetime fits him so well.
@sungod64 jrspot64 He only had over .300 one season. He was an average at best hitter but amazing speed and great outfielder. Him and Bo Jackson are the 2 best athletes of all time. Nobody else comes close.
Exactly. And I've seen him dunk a basketball like it was nothing 🤔🤗🤗
he had a 300 average hitting!?!he was great!Hit a homerun and scored a touchdown all in the same day!
Deion is the greatest! Hands down! Loved watching that dude play growing up
This dude was the top of the top with all the best temptations in the world and vices and he didn't drink or do drugs and rarely used curse words. That in itself is amazing. And lets not talk about playing football and the a baseball game in the world series on the same day. Like what!??!!?
Dude was a GOAT in a handful of different uniforms 😭 Definitely Top 5 greatest athletes DOA.
Coach Prime, every recruit should watch this. Absolute legendary.
Probably the only DB to be an NFL Superstar! And that's without even looking at his crazy stats!
It's hard to be one of the top interception leaders when teams don't want to throw the ball to your side
He made it away when the opposing team wouldn’t give him a way. Prime Time was a beast!!!
always the case with shutdown corners. their cb mate ends up getting all the INTs
@RogeMan bailey liked to gamble, so he did get burned on occasion
Nightstalker_55 actually they do want proof look at the titans defensive stats before the game and then after those dropped passes were put into there defenders pass defense stat category just look it up count the numbered stats in the game and there you have it and also btw they give the stat to the closest opposing team member and proof of this is in the screen game where a lb or o lineman gets a pass defense on a rpo or screen because of the RB/ TE drops the pass its considered a pass defense
When they do it's a pick
My favorite Deion highlight is that catch vs Green Bay around the 9:00 mark of this video. He ain’t get in the end zone but his stop & start hesitation moves were epically fun to watch. Especially w the defender being in a washing machine.
OMG!! Beautiful upload. Oh, he played professional baseball at a high level too. Greatest athlete/entertainer of all time.
He was the best player to ever play. Offense, defense, he was unstoppable
Summerall and Madden calling a game with Deion in it is my childhood and I loved it!
“Don’t try me down there… you gotta proceed with caution” -Deion Sanders
Especially...down there 😂
I love the fact that he could still outrun you while he's showboating.
Highsteps from the 40, crazy
Best player of all time, point blank period. No other player could effect all 3 phases of the game like he did. Defense, Special teams and Offense!!!
Prime was like the LeBron of the NFL, so great when he showed up you getting a chip. Love Deion and Barry, my favs!
The greatest athlete in the history of the NFL. Just look at his highlights. He high-steps faster than any other NFL player sprinting... by far.
Love how if the defense got the ball by fumble or INT they would try to give it to Deion! One of a kind
I’ve always been so grateful that the league let’s these dudes run back an INT if their on the ground and don’t get touched unlike college where your down if you go down… it’s made for some of the best plays ever
I love that line, "I hope he dances 3 times a game"
Facts.. hahaha
I agree, thats the most football thing ever. Who cares! Hes dancing=hes scoring.
Deion Sanders a true legend of football
Deon made being a cornerback Kool when I was growing up!nobody wanted to be a running back or quarterback outside when we played football, everyone jumped in front of the receiver screaming "I'm Deon! Today",pickoffs became cooler than catching or throwing touchdowns. Thanks for making that position fun to play💪💯.
he was the missing piece to every team 💪
As a Cowboys fans watching Deion Sanders highlights with us is like Heaven💯
The sound of him connecting with the ball and catching it is satisfying 😂 this man was different
The greatest player to ever put on a pair of cleats and uniform!!!! There will never be another player like him.
I honestly can say after the 2nd time watching this, I feel the same way
THAT'S HOW YOU SET THE STAGE RIGHT THERE...TO COME TO DALLAS AND SET IT OFF FOR US... THAT WAS SPECIAL..💯💙🏆
He made it look so easy! Incredible
I remember watching him as a kid. God given speed. One of the fastest men I’ve ever seen
@Dave N Not logical. How can you be faster wearing 8-12 pounds of equipment? That makes no sense what so ever.
@sydboski I do, competed in hs and college but he’s a different type of fast. Reaction time and closing speed was on a whole different level. Football ain’t only straight lines and turns. I was faster on the field than on the track, go figure
I guess you do not watch track and field.
That lateral td against the saints was just insane
Absolute legend!!! No question about it
"Neon Deion", "Prime time". One of the best Corners in the history of the NFL. There will never be another one like him. Thanks NFL Vault.
*He is the best.
Non sense its foolish to not announce him as the undisputed champion at the corner position. No one compares charles was great but dion will forever be a legend
Nope miss these days
One of the best players*
Correction THE BEST
No more beautiful athlete than this man moving on that field in his prime! How we love and miss Prime Time Neon Deion here in Georgia!
One of the greatest DB’s ever.
This is truly a masterpiece
I remember he had tuff toe the whole season with Dallas and he still out ran everyone and still shut down everyone playing CB i was really impressed back then.
I started watching Deon while he was with the Falcons. I remember wanting to be a cornerback because of him...getting an interception was the coolest thing you could do in a game and he always did it with flair and style. I had the Diamond Turf 2's...wore my gloves and wrist bands like him when I played Pop Warner....dude was a hero of mine and I consider myself lucky enough to have seen him play in his prime.
His most important highlights are the ones no one sees or pays attention too: when he completely shuts down a WR for 0 catches.
Now that’s the TRUFFF!!!
Or when he provides run support and tackles a running back....oh wait...
his dancing is the best thing in this world.
Deion used to purposely piss off Jerry rice
They wouldn't even throw in his direction.
5:42 - Deion Sanders' Falcons Career Stats. Remembered! He played less regular season games (NFL) because he was playing with Braves in the Playoffs (MLB). He is the greatest Cornerback, and was an absolute joy to watch.
Deion was literally playing two professional sports at the same time. He was playing for the Falcons on Sundays and the Braves on the other days of the week.
His football IQ is still underrated. To this day! To this day! My man was literally covering other people, glance back, broke stride, and came to intercept balls like he was running downhill. No slight but it's a wonder he has feet. The torque and pressure on his toes, ankles, tendons, ligaments, and so on was insane.
When Prime played He didnt huddle with the D. He stood on the field waiting for the Offence's best receiver to line up and he would mirror him.Can you imagine the feeling of knowing that? And end the game with 3 catches for 16 yards. Pro Bowl Receivers. He had closing speed where he'd look like he was beat, the QB would send it, and he would pick it off. Great Athlete, he coulda played Basketball to, but he had to sleep sometimes. Honor to have watched this man play.
Deion Sanders 1990s Niners away and home. Two of the best sports jerseys period, of all time.
Primetime goes to SF, they win the super bowl Then he goes to Dallas, they win the super bowl. Thats not coincidence
Charles Haley has entered the chat.
No its not but also both of those teams were complete on both sides of the game
No , it wasn’t!
@Lord Sephiroth you understand. He shutdown rice when he was on the Cowboys and shutdown Irvin when he was on the 49ers. To be able to do that is special and is worth every penny of his huge free agent contracts. One player that I can say earned those big pay days he received.
@Codey Snow it's a crazy advantage to completely shut down one half of the field. or the best receiver.
Every sideline pick prime got as soon as touches the ball and u can hear the announcers like “they’re not catching him” hilarious and priceless lol
Absolutely just a raw athlete man. Primetime baby 😎
Absolutely the Best AND most entertaining Cornerback Ever. Prime Time at it's Best. A true Legend in Football History. 😎✌
Love how he lateraled the ball so much. I know it rarely works, but would love to see it used more today
The short speed quickness, the acceleration, the ability to cut, the vision, the hands, the intelligence and the ability to stay healthy to go along with the 40 speed differentiates him from other “speed merchants”. Throw in his running style and he transcends football into entertainment.
"That's not very smart." *Out runs 8 people and scores TD. Lmao
@Philly Nation He's a casual
Well, it wasn't.
@Eternal Thread what??
@Simon Z Thats what makes Andy Reid great, this aint his first rodeo with an athletic black QB that makes plays (McNabb)
He doesn’t run full speed but is twice as fast as everybody else 😂ridiculous 🔥
He's so fast it's a blur when he's running! (I got to see him play in high school standing right at the field and even though I wasn't into football in the 9th grade - he was in the 12th - you couldn't help but notice him.) Go Noles and Neon Deion!
I can barely contain myself; I watch reruns all the time.
