  • Nobody there played dnd.

  • Me: *watches video* Me: .... ALRIGHT I'M WRITING A FRACTURED FAIRYTALE NOVEL BASED ON THIS RIGHT NOW. And I'm going to fill in the plothole. YAY!!! (Will edit with link to purchase and/or public Google drive link when I'm all done with it!)

  • Honestly on the red rose thing I'm just guessing that the gender of both children is determined by the first one the queen eats, I'm guessing if the queen ate the red rose first she would have given birth to a beautiful princess and a red lindwurm who would be turned into a beautiful princess by a young Sheppard boy.

  • Wait this makes no sense. Since she ate the white one first shouldn't both kids have been girls? Or the first born should have been a girl?

  • My reasoning for the lindworm-should-be-a-girl situation is that its a curse, curses are unpredictable, and curses definately don't give you what you want.

  • My introduction to this story was The Bride of the Rose Beast. A Tumblr comic about this story by Mishacakes.

  • So basically if you want your shitty son to get whipped in shape find a poor girl and make her walk in the woods to find an old lady

  • So she refused to bang a dragon but a guy who most likely can’t even speak is fine.....Yeah she totally was a biggot

  • I'm all about Red Shinoda

  • no kids crib empty 💀💀💀

  • That first “I can’t wake up” and “save me”. Gold.

  • And THAT, is how I met your mother

  • i still find it funny she chose the white flower(daughter) and somehow got 2 sons out of it xD

    • which even red points out and i just snort. writer put himself in a weird spot with readers of the time.

  • Wat's the background music called in 1:45?

  • i love our trans dragon boy

  • Shouldn’t the Lindworm be a girl? I’m confused.

  • Ending song should've been I feel like a monster

  • Plot twist: the witch just really hated those two princesses in particular

  • If the two roses meant one of each gender does that mean the lindworm is a girl?

  • Okay now I want a movie

  • It is a fairy tale so I totally not surprised by the curse. What gets me is… queen was told to eat one flower for boy, and the other for a girl. She ate both thus the resulting twins should have been boy and girl. The dragon should have been female. Or non cursed princess and her dragon brother. Or something. On the other hand I might just be trying to hard to find logic and reason in a fairy tale. Wrong place to look. Lol. 😆

  • The only part I don't get is why she had two sons, wasn't the white rose supposed to produce a daughter? Curses are weird I guess.

  • Red for son, white for daught...... Plot twist! The Lindworm was female?

  • My only question; why was it a Prince trapped in the lindworm's body? I mean the white rose was supposed to result in a girl and the red rose a boy. I mean if the princess is trans or a lesbian, she doesn't have to justify it.

  • Okay but since the dragon came from the white rose doesn't that mean it should be female...TRANS DRAGON

  • I think this is my new favorite bedtime story

  • "aNd AnYtHiNg DiSnEy EvEr MoNeTiZeD"

  • I want this to be a anime

  • Lindworm with a bowtie killed me 😭😭😭

  • So a lady helps a man discover his true self through the power of strip-teasing, BDSM and love? _Nice._

  • I put this video off for a month and...what the hell?!?!!? It's as weird and interesting as I imagined

  • Fairytale rule #1: If you know a magic user, *Never under any circumstances make them mad!*

  • So he was a "lady killer" until he found the right woman.

  • I like how the dead princesses are sad they didn’t get the Lindworm

  • Fun fact : Someone actually drew a comic with a Princess LIndworm. It's called Bride of the Rose Beast.

  • Anyone know the original song playing in the background at 4:16?

  • You guys truly do love Africa by Toto.

  • I'd like to see a modern retelling where everything is the same, except the lindworm is in fact a girl, like the white rose it came from promised, and the story just ends up being gay

  • A better love story than 50 Shades of Grey, I guess.

  • Sean Bailey: (*After seeing Red's Video*) We've got to make something out of this. Who has ideas? Writer: Why not a CGI film, worked for Frozen. Bailey: No, we practically _made_ the animated film; the people need to be reminded of that. Jennifer Lee: If we change some parts of the plot, like the whip into a brush & make the lindworm female, Bailey: How does the curse work? Lee: The queen remembers the warning at the last minute & spits some of the red plant out. As a result the princess is half dragon, with the majority of her traits manifesting as she gets older. If she's kept calm in her dragon form, the damage is minimal but stress manifests the full dragon, so they keep her guarded when outside. When she wants to marry, we follow the formula, two princes get eaten, but it's because they offend her in some way. Bailey: Who's the guy? And what about villans? Lee: I guess a friend of her brother's. A farmer or herdsman he hangs out with For bad guys, just use the princes she eats. Turns out the witch from before was their relative. They get revived and turned into dragons to get revenge. In the end, the princess learns to control her dragoness side & the three of them kill the evil dragons. Bailey: Do _Exactly_ that! *sees dollar signs*

  • You could say that the shepherdess... whipped it good.

  • Broo no they were lesbians. The wyrm was born from the white flower.

  • Definitely need a pin or a shirt w that image saying "Somebody's gotta pay the price for the Rule of Three" 😎

  • Æ

  • I assume the first rose prepped the queen's oven for boy shaped buns. The second rose just failed and turned into a vague magical mass. I also assume that when a witch tells you not to do something, it because of highly complicated magical reasons that are similar to the install instructions on a skyrim mod. THIS IS HOW YOU GET FACES WITHOUT SKIN TEXTURES PEOPLE.

  • Ok the video was awesome but that fucking ending SLAPS

  • Anyone else notice how the white rose was for a daughter but the Lindworm was a boy?

  • Hmm... the only version I can find of this tale is one where the Lind worm is born because his mother had two onions, each of which would give her a son, but she failed to peel the second one so it became the lindworm, hence shedding the skin.

  • I actually thought the lindworm was a princess, I'm a bit disappointed ^^;

  • Was the outro as fun to make as it was to listen?

  • 3:59 I do NOT expect that reference

  • My all time FAVORITE retelling of this story is a gorgeous comic called bride of the rose beast by mishacakes on tumblr, with surprise lesbians at the end!!! (Which honestly makes more sense because the white one WAS for a girl

  • Literally whipped into shape... 😂😂😂

  • im crying laughing at the bring me to life cover, how are you also doing the background vocals

  • I looove this fairy tale, I love it. So glad you did this.

  • One of these princes is non-gender conforming and I'm here for him

  • hey wasnt the lindworm supposed to be afab or something Is the Lindworm trans

  • "Shouldn't the lindwyrm be a woman?" You say Fools I raise you Trans man

  • How is it happily ever after after TWO people of royalty are dead

  • Ok imagine the lindworm turns into a dashing PRINCESS.

  • jesus fucking christ Red, I am BEGGING you to release a full version of Wake Me Up Inside. good God Also if you want to open a second channel that's just the credits songs I'd subscribe in a heartbeat

  • I am Norwegian and I am so happy you told this one

  • The weirdest thing about this story for me is that the two roses decided which gender the child would have, but eating both ends with giving birth to two boys.

  • 4:00 Nobody: The Peasant: Just as keikaku’d

  • Only thing that bothers me is that the Dragon should’ve been a girl, judging by the fact that red=boy and white=girl. Then again, I did see a very cute comic on tumblr where the dragon is a girl, so I’m happy about that.

  • 0:58 I like how at the start of the story the subtitles have parts like [this] like a mad libs story

  • But what's weird is that the white rose represented a girl so I expected the lindworm to be a girl as well. I mean I know this fairy tale, but still.

  • It is interesting that the eldest has to get married before younger ones can. Never heard of such a rule, though that may be my own ignorance. I can only guess that it is not to detract the eldest’s power as in royal succession, showing that you have the ability to produce an heir is important.

  • The drunk gun arguably influence because veil postauricularly rescue pro a acidic fortnight. whispering, natural gun

  • Red's cover of "Bring Me to Life" is probably one of my favorite of hers 😂It just sounds like she's having fun

  • Okay okay but wasnt the white rose supposed to represent a daughter??? Why did they get a prince lindworm out of it then???? Retelling of this story but its princess lindworm instead and its a lesbian wedding. its the pride month story we deserve

  • I’m still not over the fact that the white rose was supposed to give the queen a daughter but hey now she got a lindworm son :]

  • Evanescence, seriously?

  • I see the mr lindworm has a whipping fetish

  • The outro is hilarious

  • There's something about this story that makes me smile. Not sure why.

  • So stripping, BDSM and Aftercare broke the curse? ...Alright

  • I have convinced myself that red keeps a clone of herself in her basement and the outro song was just her hiding that fact by singing over it.

  • I only learned this tale like few years ago, but I love it XD

  • The few fierce station thankfully print because magazine invariably tease into a snotty ravioli. royal, unhealthy node

  • So where has Prince Lindworm been living for the past 20(?) years? Schooling? Education? Foodstuffs, like, maybe sheep?

  • Wait she eats the white one first, would that mean the Lindworm would have been a girl???

  • wAKe mE Up

  • So Prince Lindworm is the heir to the throne, and his twin brother, who thought that he would rule and spent his whole life preparing for it, now has a one-way ticket to find his own bride and kingdom? And Prince Lindworm's shepherdess wife is now queen over her fellow peasants? Would there happen to be a couple of sequels? ("Princess Lindworm whips the countryside into shape....")

  • An acoustic version of Bring Me to Life is something I never knew I needed.

  • Am I there only one that heard "Lion milk" rather than "lye and milk"?

  • Red I am LOSING IT over that beautiful cover of bring me to life XD

  • Yo I am Norwegian and I have never heard this one before! This is really cool! I love good ol' Espen Ashlad and all, but it's refreshing to hear something new!

  • Honestly, seeing what happened to the other 2 princesses that the family brought in as brides, I'd also be worried about having a daughter that would eventually be married off.

  • you speak way too fast lol.

  • It's tragic about those two princesses he ate, but consider that they were a pair of prude, frigid snobs, and probably had it coming. The shephards daughter, on the other hand, she's seen some shit, she knows her way around town, she's gonna have nooo problem with whatever little freaky kink the lindworm is into. That's the real reason she survived!

  • Is that a fucking blue eyes?!

  • the song at the end is fantastic

  • The first time I heard this story (I think?) it was actually a new queen who had been given the advice to eat 2 onions upon first stepping inside the castle. She ate the first one raw, peel and all, and decided it was disgusting so she gave the second one to the kitchen staff to properly prepare it for consumption. Everything else is pretty much the same, but the witch shows up at the end and explains that the queen had left before she could be told that the onions have to be eaten without their peels. Helps fill the gender plothole, and also makes a bit more sense as to how the lindworm ended up like that (because of the layers). Though I've also read somewhere that some versions have the guy being just so raw after peeling off all of his layers so they had to throw him in some sort of bath overnight.

  • Oh I remember seeing a comic about this

  • Funniest version of wake me up ever 😂😂😂

  • So I just saw a version of this book, where instead of a prince, the lindworm becomes a princess. So the shepherdess and the princess get married. It is titled, "The Rose Beast" and it is a 🏳️‍🌈 story

  • Wait wait wait....... Wouldn't the weredragon being, be a woman? I mean like, one rose was a boy the other Rose was a girl... She ate both, obviously she gave birth to a boy and the other one should be a girl? I don't get why couldn't be just two girls getting married?
