@Nikevo Yea but it likely wouldn't need to, imagine it was a bad crash off a motorway and the window was pinching the dude's arm very hard for 20mins+ before emergency services turned up. If blood supply is cut off completely for an extended period of time it would seriously mess up the arm, adding in the idea of arteries being crushed it maybe wasn't worth keeping the arm afterwards and better off amputated.

My wife was sitting in the backseat with our 2 year old. We park at the mall. I roll the windows up and shut the car off instinctively as I always do. At the same time I’m doing this she had already unbuckled him and he put his hand out the window so quickly. So as I’m getting out the car I hear my son screaming and I look over and his hand is completely smashed inside the window while the car is off. I had to get back in turn the car on and roll the window down. Thankfully when they are that young bones are very flexible! He was/is fine. Moral of the story is as a driver make sure as you are rolling windows up that everyone’s hands and feet I suppose are inside the car!

Most windows only stop when something is pitched during auto roll up. If you are holding the button up it won’t stop as it assumes you meant it as you are the one controlling it
In a 2018 Corolla it’ll stop regardless of auto up or not. I got side swiped and it jacked up the door. Even after it got “fixed” the window was a pita sometimes.
