8 year old me thought It was illegal to fly bussines class if you're not travelling for work
@Meghan Sullivan for rich people bru
@justin julian yes.
@Itismethatguy its for the rich
Business*
6 year old me who called business class seats “moving seats”
first class only makes sense if you’re doing some insane flight like australia to england, where you can actually take advantage of the things you payed for, because you cant exactly sleep, eat 3 meals, watch a movie, drink excessively, have a shower and all the other shit in under 8 hours.
First class doesn't make any sense for anyone making less than a million a year
i went on a 20 hour flight and had to suffer in economy 😭 it was bad but first class is kinda a waste of money
@Pink Manyes exactly! Trains are waaay more comfortable & definitely not as expensive as a first class international flight 😅
You better be eating more than 3 times on a 1st class 12+ hour flight. You better be eating and drinking on demand every hour, they should have to roll you off the plane.
@Capybara i haven’t liked any of my own comments 💀 clearly i do know what im talking about if all these people agree with me.
Honestly even being able to travel and take a plane is luxury in my opinion
@ابو علي الرافضي البرائي 😂
Brokie
It is
100%
Helpful summary. Worth noting, service escalation makes today’s Biz Class much better than First Class 15 years ago. Regardless the class, I can spend days at a time at a window seat - as long as I get breaks!
Same. I just stare off into oblivion.
We flew first class on a Singapore Airlines longhaul flight in 1990 thanks to our uncle who put the fare as a business expense. The perks (seat leanback, legroom, service, food & drink, etc.) back then would be nothing compared to today's business class. I won't compare in flight entertainment as the technology has obviously changed a lot between the decades. Back then, the in flight movie choice was no choice at all. You would watch what they project onto a screen in the center. You also had a limited selection of music, played in a loop. If you missed the song you wanted, you had to wait about half an hour for it to repeat again.
@Saul is funny i love looking at the clouds, especially during sunset or sunrises
Snowpiercer
@David Manouchehri that's hilarious, for a MAX 3.5 hour flight 🤣
“Kind of sleep on a certain angles” if I can sleep sitting up between a screaming baby and a guy that smells like cheese while the plane feels like it’s breaking down around me from all the turbulence you better believe I can sleep on that at any angle.
Wtf I just commented this exact comment without reading the comments first ahaha
😂
Found the geometry textbook challenge.
even the "slightly" fancier meals look miles better than anything on american flights LMAO
@wolverinexo6lol all of those airlines dont come near the quality in europe and the middle east
@Redshifteurope and the middle east have we fancier flights
@Ethan There are only a handful of planes like the one in the video in the entlre world. Mainly because not many people want to spend $20,000 on a ticket. Those who do, usually charter private jets. 99% of the trips in the world are not like this and it has nothing to do with the country. If one of these planes has landed in the USA, you can charter a ticket on the next flight to the next location that it is scheduled to go. If you have $20,000 to spend.
Had better with delta one
@Redshift this is false! i have had flights from US to Spain which can take 7 to up to 12 hours depending on where you're coming from, consistently throughout my life (i have family there) and while the flights on those do usually container **SOMEWHAT** nicer food, it is nowhere near the luxury of the meals presented here
I am proud passenger of Cargo class. Its rather cold out there but it is what it is
I prefer the front wheel class. It’s even colder and the toilet is powered by gravity but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Cargo planes are awesome. No seatbelt lights. Bring your own booze. String up a hamock, crash out in a pile of cargo nets, whatever. It's yard out & wide open on cargo planes. Deluxe!! Only way to fly.
I’m a subscriber of hanging on for dear life class. It’s completely free so long as you can sneak past airport security and attach yourself to the fuselage of the plan sufficiently.
Check out Mr. Moneybags over here. Try undercarriage class for a change.
Well I myself enjoy the roof class u might not always make it all in one piece but for 10 bucks it’s the best I can do
In America, 1st class means you actually can recline your seat. And the person in front of you won't have their head in your lap expecting a scalp massage.
@Vega N. people 150 years ago also weren't controlling 1/3 of the world's wealth and laughing at dead deer memes while launching cars into space "just because he can"
@The_god_of_rot sowwie
@Vega N. But are we in the 19th century. I hate it when people bring up history.
oh no, minimal discomfort. People 150 years ago almost died when they travelled these distances
@Angie B you get to have tv dinners instead of one bag of soggy peanuts
I feel so lucky, one time travelling back to Europe, I was supposed to be in business/economy class, but was very late due to gigantic waiting queue, so when I got in, they sat me in a different row, which got me confused, so I said "sorry but this isn't my seat" the steward just said "it's ok, sit down, the pilot said to sit you here". And sincerely I thought it would just be the same as the business class, which doesn't give you the same things, BUT OH I WAS WRONG, the food was so much better, the seat reclined fully and I watched as many movies as I want, they even gave us fluffy blankets with a lil bag w socks toothpaste, brush and earplugs, sincerely I was never lucky w things like this but they even gave me hot towels and chocolate 😭😭 I was in heaven literally.
Yes! I always said (from an inflight professional point of view) : economy is about transportation, business is about comfort and first is about luxury.
@Kim Namjoon my cutoff time is actually 6 hours. 0-6: Evonomy, >6 business
I’m here for the transportation
What’s a in flight professional?
@can’t think of a name depends
i never bought a plain ticket before but that makes soo much sense i think business is for me i just need extra leg room😂
I grew up flying between countries and oof the pain of having to walk past the fancy first class and business class sections to get to the economy class was real.
Why do I feel like they want you to go to sleep so they don't have to attend.
yes,. sleep 😴
@Zippy Thekid and you think workers aren’t?
Absolutely, it also soothes smaller children to have generally quieter places. Same for anxious people who are more scared with opened window screens.
I'm 6'1" and quite fat, so either business or first would be wonderful for me. Unfortunately my wallet isn't as big as my waistline.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Hat that’s very good, but movement alone is not enough, the reason you gained instead of losing weight has to do with your diet. If you can’t track what you eat and control it then you won’t lose weight, it’s diet + exercise that does the trick, try calculating your TDEE and start from there
@Justin People like raises my hopes in humanity higher.
@asum power i feel like thats general bs. Tho as you said thats how modern society clames things to be. Wealth dont have humor, size, gendor or wight. It just has value.
Damn
I've been flying since I was 5, going from one side of the world to the literal opposite side, and I'll say this: curiosity and gratitude are where it's at. Even just a little bit will make your transportation, airport, and flying experiences into adventures you wouldn't trade for anything.
@Jake Keil I hear ya!
I usually go economy and save money for the destination
Well expressed. That being said, I’m even more enthusiastic in front of the bus!
I've only ever been on planes a few times, but I remember being so excited at the extra few inches of space in front of me when I landed a seat in one of the first six rows after first class. Those were the best four hours of any fight experience I've ever had.
As long as I can lay flat while sleeping then it’s worth it for longer flights. Having to sleep while sitting up in a 17 hour flight is a nightmare.
last time i did that, i was also horribly sick. would not recommend
A living nightmare for us poor ppl…we can’t just decided an upgrade is worth it. It is not an option no matter what😭
@TheGreatD4ne first class isn't that expensive if you have a white collar job
For the thousands of extra dollars, I think I'll just stay up.
Me who has never been on a flight longer than 2 hours and just gets shoved in a chair with 6 inches of clearance for legs and backpack:
Damn y’all have a whole damn bed on your flight 😭
International flights: we offer better settings 4-course meals and top-of-the-line alcohol! America: we offer shitty alcohol, all-you-can-eat pretzels and a cheap blanket.
This just sounds like economy for both cases lol
I think it’s cuz we wanna keep it cheap cuz it’s the only realistic way to quickly move between states and paying first class for a 2 hour flight to just another state is kinda a waste
This doesn’t make sense.
based
I fly business on an American carrier and it is very nice I get the big dinner, the cheese and crackers, the ice cream sundaes, the all you can drink alcohol but I don't personally drink it but it's there a big pillow, comfortable space. I found it quite similar to France's business class which I got to fly once. But I mostly fly United since I have a points card with them and get lots of upgrades through that. But I have always been satisfied. Heck it's way more comfy than economy. Now disclaimer this is for international flights that are long haul flights of course on shorter domestic flights you are likely not going to have all these perks in business. Like I flew business on a domestic flight in the US once and got a bigger seat and stuff but yeah nothing like the international flights. So, that may be causing some of the confusion the big multi course meals are for people traveling internationally on long-haul flights like I have flown business US-China several times on and American airline, France to US one time (on a French airline), and India to US one time on an American airline and all had the big meal, bed, alcohol, etc.
Easy, your either working hard or others are working hard for you. That's the difference.
So Flights less than 4 hours - economy Flights 4+ hours- business Overnight or international flights - first class Gotcha
With all that money Im spending, I aint sleeping
Yeah you are. Unless you ENJOY jet lag.
People usually who have that money only have time to sleep on air I guess
Wait isn’t sleeping the purpose of this
With this comment, that should tell you that this option isn’t for you (me neither I’m js)
You broky 🤣
You don’t need first class when you’re the one who has a private flight. The whole plane is.
Going on a flight with someone in first class on a plane just seems so romantic to me.
Thanks for showing all of us poors what we were missing.
@Karozans this!
I flew first class, a few times 20+ years ago, it is amazing. However as I tall for an economy seat, I have largely given up on air travel, only two trips abroad in four years.
"Episode 112 of I'm rich you're poor" "Cuz ur a povo"
The way he and a lot of avg people experience business class and international first class is using points from credit cards.
I just enjoy the simpleness of the 6 millimeters of legroom provided on American economy
such a unique instrument! you played it so beautifully too, btw ♥️
I'd still rather just fly economy and spend more on my holiday when I get there.
@ok we do habe scores, but from what I can tell (I never needed a credit before), they care about whether you constantly go over your card (you can set a limit that is less than 0, so if you ever need more one month you can go into those minus money numbers, but you pay a lot of interest on it). What really makes up our scoring system I don't entirely know, but say you didn't pay off an invoice on time and it goes into collection service that can lower your points. Also most places here didn't take credit card for the longest time, so you could really only use it to get petrol or at a hotel or at some department stores. It's not been 10 years since almost all supermarkets started to let you pay with credit card, before than only some bigger stores (think Walmart size) would let you use them, because paying with credit card costs the shop more than the regular debit card fees). From what I can tell from others, if you buy a house they look into whether you have employment that brings you regular money and whether you have any assets, stuff like that. But yeah, one podcast from Canada I follow talked about North American credit building once and one of the hosts previously lived in Europe and got used to only using debit card, but eventually in Canada went back to credit card because the bank told him he wouldn't get a house loan otherwise, even with everything else looking good and him being responsible with his debit card. That's how I learned about it (I've seen it on TV, but it was never explained how the differences work).
@Carina S I think it's more-or-less equal qualification. To me the idea that one is more or less qualified based on how much you spend doesn't make a lot of sense, but paying off just the minimum of credit card debt is actually quite disastrous for your credit. I don't think its that easy to spend more money than I have since (ideally) you arent using the entire limit on your card because that looks bad and might reflect poorly on your credit, and you're supposed to pay the full debt (or you risk losing some points on your credit score). Although it is possible to get flooded with credit card debt as long as you're the least bit financially responsible, its not that bad, partially because of how easy it would be to lose precious points on your score. Thats just my personal experience with it, to be honest. When I first got my first credit card I barely used more than $250 of the total $500 limit, and I usually paid it off in full, this was to build my credit; systems like these make it harder to spend irresponsibly, but some people find a way to do it anyways. I guess an atrocious credit history where someone consistently forgets to pay their loans can look bad to a loaner, and I'm somewhat surprised there is no similar system in Germany (From what you've said)
@ok the thing is it easily breeds bad spending habits. With a debit card the payment will directly go out of your account. With a credit card it gets taken off e.g. at the end if the month, so it's very easy to overspend. And from what I heard in the US you don't even need to pay off the entire amount of your credit card, just a minimum payment. Which makes it even easier to spend money you don't have. I got a credit card once when I moved to study abroad for a year and it was with the same bank my debit card is at and at least I needed to pay off the entire amount on my credit card the next month. But even that is a slippery slope. It's also why a lot of Germans still prefer cash over card (although with covid we've all been asked to use card rather than cash, because in the beginning we didn't know entirely how it spread, and also with the use of contact less pay before that you could see a decrease in cash payment). My mum always taught me it makes you more financially responsible to take out a certain amount of cash instead of using card because you see the money going down and I agree, when I use cash I spend way less. But I also enabled SMS notifications for my bank account, so I can still see how much I spend when I use card (and its also helpful just for security reasons). But yeah, looping back to the whole credit card thing it just seems wild to me that people that use their credit card all the time "build credit" with it and get points for flying and the banking system considers people that build credit that way more reliable than someone who only has a debit card and can show that they never overspend. How is that not at least an equal qualification to get a house loan?
@Carina S yeah. I have family from France so they sometimes mention how strange it is that I use my credit card for everything but I don't mind our system, I think the rewards and the miles are pretty useful
@ok this seems like such a US thing, especially considering they don't really let you buy houses there if you use a debit instead of a credit card. It's so wild.
If the plane crashes it doesn’t matter which class you’re in. 😂
Old school airplane rides never disappeared, they just added the poor people section
My options are always just between AISLE or WINDOW. the middle seat is a major no. 😌
I always set in the middle. My husband is big and tall so I always give him the window or aisle and take one for the team in the middle seat.
My day gets ruined the moment i see myself get the middle seat. But i guess that's the price you have to pay for being a cheapskate and not wanna pay extra to choose your own seat lol.
I am forced to go middle by my parents lol
@Claud ikr upcharging for choosing a seat should be illegal
@O let us remove it
Today I learned you don’t have to be on business to fly business class 👍🏻
I want to fly business class at least once in my life 😢. I was bumped up to premium economy once and that felt luxurious to me
Introducing delta’s business comfort plus. For the price of business class you get an extra four inches of leg room, and nothing else!
@BananaFarmer X that's why it's so rare.
I like the unlimited free drinks 😂
@BananaFarmer X agreed
@Knight Glint you never need first class
For domestic flights that's amazing. Honestly you really only need first class for flights more than five hours in length.
Business class passengers are slightly more likely to survive in the event of a crash, while first class nearly always dies.
“King of able to sleep at certain angles” bruh I fell asleep with my head against the seat in front of me with a dude so big on my right that I didn’t have a right armrest and my backpack taking up so much leg room I had to have my feet under the seat
I mean the name says it all: business class gives you enough comfort to be able to work on your flight/feel a bit rested for upcoming meetings, while first class is a luxury experience
you’re reaching the name does not say it all🤣🤣
In a nutshell: Economy: just a uncomfortable af seat Business: Home experience First class: a good hotel experience
The ecomic class is part of traveling for me. Having to sit in a uncomfortable place for some time before landing in a new place feels so good! I travel by plane very rarely too, so flying itself is luxury.
As a world traveler, I could give fuck all about how I get there as long as I get there safely and on schedule. I’m cool with my seat and a few movies and beers.
@Oscar Ivan hey I'm going to Taiwan and Korea in May. Any recommendations? Doing 2 weeks South Korea (Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island), then to Taiwan for 8 days (Kaohsiung, Taichung and finally Taipei).
fr. i can get a relaxing sleep on a bus, an economy class plane is basically a bed
@Kat31017 you can still buy beer, either in the airport or on the plane.
@Kat31017 yes you do lmao
That’s an experience I would actually pay a lot for
Business class being better than a 100% of first classes on planes I’ve been on in America 💀💀💀
As someone who has flown both relatively extensively, the easiest way I know how to explain the difference is that Business class is about comfort, while First class is about Luxury
on my last flight with Delta I've seen their "first class", what a joke 😅 It's about what you get when you buy business class with other airlines.
I've never been on a plane in my life
That’s a good way to summarize it
Being relatively comfortable in Economy is one of the few times I'm glad I'm short though i am curious of experiencing business class someday... maybe when i'm only paying for my tickets instead of my entire family lol
There shouldn’t be any classes. No one is more special than each one of us.
This is coming from someone who flies frequently, it doesn’t matter what class you pick, meal time is the only good time on a plane… outside of deboarding.
I also enjoy take off and landing (watching the view outside the window, feeling the excitement of the trip). And I like catching a movie or two as during my normal schedule when going abroad, I'm usually too busy to watch anything. And even cooler when the movie takes place in the location I'm going to.
idk i enjoy the takeoff and landing quite a bit. i also enjoy looking out the window for an hour at a time. different strokes for different folks.
in the future i'm gonna fly somewhere far away and immediately fly back just so i can experience first class
The only time I've had a "first class" experience was on a train. I was going home from my parent's and when I was booking the tickets, only first class were available on the website. There were standard tickets, but you had to buy them on the app and were only a couple of quid cheaper. First class was pretty similar to standard (hence the quotation marks at the beginning) except there was maybe a little bit more room (not that I could tell because it was filled by my bags) and you could get complimentary food and drink. I didn't end up getting anything because I was too shy to ask for anything, but I should have done it because I could have had it as an early lunch instead of having something at home, and it would have offset the extra cost of the ticket.
@KaNG okay, wtf with that "straightforward" aggressiveness then? from only one comment from the first replier you magically deducted that their english is "deficient", could you please enlighten us on your train of thought?
@ces cimes WTH with your projection of your own passive aggressiveness towards me?! Look in the mirror. I was being obvious, straightforward. I don’t do passive. That’s all from you / yours buddy.
@KaNG wtf with that passive aggressiveness?
@arthurneddysmith Kindly suggestion: Nobody appreciates completely unsolicited grammar advice, ever. It is never taken as a "kindly suggestion". This is a criticism.
I would say always get a sleeper car I couldn’t get a wink of sleep on a 21 hour train ride and had to drive after
So basically, in economy you are treated like cattle, in business you are treated like a normal human being, and in first class you are treated like a king.
God I can't imagine the carbon footprint from some of these first class seats
I got upgraded to business class once and it was AWESOME, especially compared to economy. I miss that flight 🥲
Nothing can beat the $15 flight from my city to Milan, that was the best shit ever. Cheap, comfortable and fast.
The important thing is to arrive to your destination
I flew Emirates economy from Dublin to Auckland via Dubai....enjoyed the service but not the seating, came back business class...what a difference...wonderful!!! Wish I could have afforded it both ways.
I flew business class once overseas and it was pretty luxurious to me.
Damn. My seat is usually super cramped and the zipper always chafes my nose. Also the flight attendents are always so rough when throwing you on.
And it’s freezing and there’s almost no air!
Yes, US first class consists of a couple of complimentary drinks and a huge price tag. Totally not worth it. The very last time I flew first class, almost every other first class passenger on the flight was an off-duty airline employee. Apparently, I didn't get the memo.
Just hang on to the wheels. Instead of a luxurious experience, you get an exhilarating once in a lifetime one.
Me when I have to get economy deluxe because I’m too tall to fit in a standard economy seat
Cargo class passenger over here! It might be cold as my friend below said, but it's free and you have a ton of goodies in boxes and luggages
Thank you, so glad I know the difference now, I’ve always been rather troubled by deciding if I am going to fly business or first class.. such difficult life decisions 😮💨
US first class is nothing like this! I have chronic pain and I would do anything to be able to lay down.
That business class is better then the first class seats I’ve gotten in America
when you fall asleep for 6 hours so you won’t experience any of it anyways.
When I fly, I'm stuck sitting upright and leaning back a little. Which is hell on my lower back. I can lean to the left. I can lean to the right. To get into a good sleeping position. But it won't last because I'll fall over in my sleep. Because I'm upright... anything other than the window seat is HELL on a flight for me. Forget about aisle seats. And you're telling me yall got BEDS.
I always fly Lufthansa cuz they give you endless beer 🤣🤣
“bigger and nicer presented meals than economy.” Lol what? Last 6hr flight I took they gave us 2 biscoff cookies and a soda 😂
A fucking dedicated flight attendant
Watching this before boarding a Ryanair flight. Ima legit gonna start crying 😢
In our business classes…. Yeah…. They give us meals just like the economy and the seats ain’t comfy….
I don’t care what class as long as we take off and you can land, we good.
In New Zealand we have really good flights because you can order free drinks (alcohol included) or a very long period of time during your flight. You also get free movies the whole plane ride and many complementary items
These are the seats that pay for my economy class ticket.
For tall people like me ( I am 6'2), avoid business class. It is a total waste of money if you have the option of first class.
Some people are rich and fly these classes. I can't my whole life. I have rewards points but prefer to spread them out for several coach flights than one luxurious one.
You are normal and making the smarter financial decision. “A smart person knows what they like. They spend lavishly on that one thing and cut out everything else.” Save here and there so you can splurge here and there when it’s something truly meaningful.
my life goal is to go on an emirates type first/business class flight, its like heaven
For my next trip I'd appreciate if Brandon puts me in business class.
Totally agree, you'll find the comfort you need in business class
And just like that…in 8 seconds I became poor in 4 different places.
Tbh I think I’ll just continue flying myself. Nothing quite like the breeze in my hair and the immense red eye I get from the wind in my eyes. And don’t get me started on the thinner air. I’m already asthmatic and the thinner air doesn’t help at all. But at least I don’t have to pay to get places! Nice for visiting family cuz I can quite literally drop in whenever I want.
I agree with you. There is a big difference between economy and business, first class a luxury but not worth double the fare.
Honestly, I would be happy with not being cramped in the seat row like a sardine and not charged for every single shred of humanity the airline concedes.
so basically the luxurious experience is a normal day for anyone who works on homeoffice, a bed, a tv, food and DOOOOOORS :0
Zurich Airport, so beautiful🥰
And then there’s a private jet which makes first class feel like economy.
“Bed you can actually sleep on” man i have slept upright with my head on the window shutter my whole life
Thank you for sharing. I like both cabin sections if the aircraft to fly. I like Business Class first. First Class is there when I am to upgrade or use the points.
I fly first class everywhere I go. That's what credit cards are for. Just charge it and make minimum payments and post everything to my friends.
now i just gotta become rich and travel around the world everywhere
The difference is something I will never know …
I remember when I was young, my dad and I flew across the country to visit my grandparents and our tickets got upgraded to first class. I don’t actually remember anything about it because this was 15ish years ago (and I flew back as an unaccompanied minor because I stayed an extra week)…
If I paid 1000s for a plane ticket and they told me to wear a mask I would 100% demand a refund
As an American, I feel cheated out of my Luxury.
Most airlines have stuff like this on longer flights. Except American.
I'd love to fly first class one day. Just to experience it.
I've learned that what first class mainly offers is the least chance of survivability in case of a pmane crash
If I ever fly a premium class, regardless Biz or first, I’d be over the moon as it would be the best flight of my life for sure
@KalebAsphalt oh you will. 15 years ago even being on a flight was a far fetched dream for me. But 5 years later not only it came true but became a frequent flyer. It is very suprising how life changes. Work hard and one day who knows you will be one of millionaires or a billionaire.
@shmw mlam Aww thanks! My family really have to stretch the dollar on flights - I haven't been on a plane for 4 years now, and even my last few flights were on budget airlines, in middle seats. Ah, how I wish to get back onto an intercontinental flight soon (in style, hopefully)!
I hope one day you will! I also wanted to fly business class atleast and finally I was able to. First class is still a dream nowhere close tho. Anyways secret for flying business for middle class folk like me is accumulate enough flying miles so you can upgradr for free. I had accumulated some miles for about 10 years and I upgraded to business for a 10 hr flight recently. And I am so happy. Want to be rich someday so I don't want to rely on points but for now it'll do.
Man I wish I was rich, it'd be cool to go first class even once
Now give us an idea of the different price points for the same kinds of trips.
Thanks bud for keepin us financially Educated! Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy, I still make over $22,000 every single week.
This opportunity has changed my life ❤️ My credit score increased tremendously, I become a multiple 6 figure earner, I'm able to finicially support my family. I now have the time to and luxurious life I've Dreamt of. All thanks to Mrs Natalie Brunell. God will surely bless her abundantly. Now I advice others to go into crypto trading. It's the independence and financial freedom for me 🥰🥰
4 years ago I was living paycheck to paycheck, working 40hrs a week, High school drop out with a GED. 489 credit score with an eviction, Repo and collections Got into real estate but ran into unqualified clients that didn't qualify for a mortgage because of their credit I found this home based business in here on CS-tv and it just made sense.
Investing with expert Mrs Brunell has been one of the best step I've ever took in life, may God bless the day i met her.
I just withdraw my profit last two days before now. am glad i did invest with them still reinvested and the trade is ongoing.
When I flew business, you couldn’t recline all the way back but more space, the food was amazing, and comfier And we got access to a lounge
