Im just super excited to see what version of gogeta they will use for the fight. My personal favorite is SS4 gogeta, just looks so badass

Vegito and Gogeta have the same base techniques, but Vegito also has the spirit sword and final Kamehameha while gogeta has the stardust whatever he used in the broly movie (as that is canonically the only technique they mentioned that gogeta has actually used.) 3. We don't really know what the boosts are for potara fusion and metamorian fusion so we can't really say that Gogeta would beat zamasu if we aren't saying that vegito was doing the same thing, but hey, Vegito has double the time limit Gogeta has so wouldn't that mean the fight would go similarly to how it already did, but they'd defuse faster? 3.5 Zamasu was immortal, neither would be able to kill him (unless they made stardust breaker canon, in which case Goleta would beat him due to hax)

Doesn't Goku have to lower his power to make one fusion (not sure which one exactly) but the other he can fuse full power (I believe with the earrings). So doesn't that make one automatically stronger than the other?
Potara Earrings fuses the two, no other conditions. Fusion Dance requires that both participants need to be symmetrical, equal power, perfectly mirrored movement, even their heart beats have to match rhythms.

This could be an interesting fight. Potaro fusion is stated in the guides to be stronger than the dance, but the limit for them is only 30 minutes and is cut down even more by them going Blue, while gogeta has no trouble going blue and can last longer than vegito

All I'll say is that as excited as I am to see this fight, it needs to be a draw. It's been stated now that both Gogeta and Vegito are the same in power. The only difference is how the fusion fuses. But as for the fight I can see Gogeta winning just because of the stuff they're probably gonna use from the Broly movie.
This has to be one of the weirdest Death Battles yet, we've got two characters, who are technically the same character, both of whom are fusions of the same two characters.

Just want to quickly point out, Goku and Vegeta don't need to match their energy like in Fusion Reborn, since their current Base Forms are equal to another.

Man, I just can’t wait to see how the fans Will respond to the outcome of the fight.
In truth, I see this coming down to the mechanics of the fusion methods and the personality of the Gogeta vs Vegito. Both fighters have access to the same abilities and powers so it really comes down to how long and stable the fusion is as well as the power multiplier that it provides. Should be an amazing fight though. Any fight with a DBZ character is.
Based on current showings, Gogeta should win. He toyed with Broly whereas Vegito struggled with fused Zamasu for some reason, despite Goku and Vegeta being stronger than Zamasu and Goku Black at the time…
Now imagine a surprise if Wiz and Boomstick did the Fusion dance.

From what i remember it was stated somewhere (don't ask me where its been literally a decade lol) that the fusion dance is a more powerful technique because it fuses the souls and not just the bodies, which is also why it is a harder technique to pull off (requiring you to match your energy levels and perfectly sync your movements) and also has a shorter timer because its power is more concentrated. Probably wont factor much into the actual fight but just a cool detail I've always found really interesting.

Between Gogeta and Vegito, i prefer Gogeta. I vote for Gogeta. I didn't watch Death Battle's video Gogeta vs Vegito yet. We all know that Vegito is gonna be the winner. He's the stronger fusion because the Potara Fusion is stronger that the Fusion Dance ( According to what Supreme Kai had said). For example. Goku Full Power (Base) with a power level of 100.000 and Vegeta Full Power (Base) with a power level of 95.000. If they decide to use the Fusion Dance, Goku have to decrease his power level to 95.000 to equalize Vegeta's power level. As for the Potara Fusion, not only Goku won't have to decrease his power level to fuse, but they can also fuse at their full strength. Also the Potara Fusion last 30 minutes longer than the Fusion Dance.
This is the *closest* we’re going to get to a canon fight between these two, and boyyyy am I ready

1:54 Funny thing is that for this Fusion Dance to work, they needed to be in Perfect Sync with each other, because if 1 or both did falter in the Fusion Dance even in the slightest, Ex. Their fingers don't match up, one of them extended their Index Fingers on the 2nd part too soon, or their angles on that last part were all wrong, it will result in failure for comical reasons.
This can actually go on both ways. If we talk about feats, I think we should go to Gogeta. In terms of metrics, it's surely Vegito. Since Deathbattle is about numbers, I'm betting on the one I wish wouldn't win though.
This is gonna be dope. All I want for this fight is the DBZA voice actors.... and a scene where Vegito says "look ma no hands" while using only his feet... and a big finish that doesn't involve either party defusing before the kill shot.
This fight might just come down to sheer power. Why, might you ask? Gogeta’s fusion dance tends to cut down on power level. If both the fighters are not equally strong, then the stronger one can cut down his strengths and result in less than pleasing outcome i.e., chunky Saiyan monkey. Vegito's fusion generates stronger characters as this fusion is based on the power levels of the individuals.
in the anime it is said that fusion potara is the strongest existing fusion method but according to toriyama gogeta and vegetto have the same level of strength i always thought he said this because actually fusion potara and stronger fusion not for the power multiplier but for the way it works, the fusion potara can be done with any type of individual even if they match different sex, race and power levels you just need to put the earrings on and the fusion is done instead methamor is much more limited to perform it you must perform precise movements because if you make a mistake the fusion comes out busted and the individuals must be similar to each other both in race, sex and also power level more the methamor lasts only 30 minutes compared to a potara time or even forever for some individuals. their maximum strength must also be taken into consideration in their last appearances, goku and vegeta last merged into vegetto in the black saga while they merged into gogeta in the broly movie canonically speaking and being in the black saga much more scarce in the film gogeta should be stronger however it is also true that goku and vegeta have fused into vegetto more times than gogeta and therefore it is not stupid to think that they have much more experience with vegetto rather than with gogeta plus the fusion into vegetto lasts half an hour longer than gogeta so consequently vegeh would be the strongest BUT... we must also consider the fusion potara lasts an hour but if too much energy is used there is the risk that the fusion potara lasts less than the normal addiference of the fusion methamor (then correct me if I'm wrong) which does not seem to risk decreasing its time with the extra waste of energy gogeta to many more techniques than vegetto and this would force him to use his best techniques and consequently waste more energy. if we take into account all these factors here is the verdict: GOGETA: +many more techniques +higher power level +it does not consume its 30 minutes(then correct me if I'm wrong) VEGETH: +more experience +lasts half an hour longer - it lasts longer but it can last less if it wastes too much energy (count that I have not considered vegetto and gogeta super db heroes)

Also the dance requires both parties to perform it in the exact way or else the fusion ends up bad. Also whilw the Devilmite Beam works on any being with just a little bit of evil inside them, Gogeta's attack strictly targets the evil in someone since while the attack destroyed Jameba the turned horned teenager looking guy was still alive afterwards.
Hype. They should theoretically be even in terms of power (since Goku and Vegeta are even as of now, neither one has to lower their power level for the fusion dance) so it’ll probably come down to technique. Definitely rooting for my boy Gogeta, he is too badass in DBS Broly.
My head canon is that Gogeta is more powerful with the trade off for not lasting as long and also needing a very difficult technique. As opposed to just slapping earrings on you need to complete a perfectly synchronized dance while being around the same height and having your power level also be equal. Of course the Kais would say their way of fusion is better, they're full of themselves but as we've seen multiple times(especially in super) mortals can and have surpassed the expectations of the "gods".
If I recall correctly Gogeta won the DBX, but favoritism might've been a factor with the Broly movie recently aired during that time. I heard the Potara earrings are stronger, but it all depends how much shorter Gogeta can get the time length (1 hr or less Potara and done depending on how much power exerted v 30 min fusion, but can be done multiple times).
Bit of a weird one to make, since it's outright stated that potara fusion is stronger than fusion dance, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless
Toriyama later said both are equal, plus supreme Kai words aren't reliable because they didn't even know how potara works for mortals. Plus vegito's fusion time decreases on using too much power, whereas gogeta has 30 minutes no matter what he does(ssj4 gogeta is non cannon and hardly a gogeta with that discount vegito attitude).

You know, there's a what-if story about the Fusion Dance vs. Potara Earring in DB Raging Blast. Finally! We're about to see TRUE battle between those two.
This is gonna be fun! Vegito is the stronger fusion due to potara not having the same limitations as the dance, but if they go based off of how strong they were when we saw them last, I think thr edge would go to gogeta. Goku and vegeta got significantly stronger between zamasu and broly, probably enough to offset the limitations of the dance.
I would laugh so hard if Wiz and Boomstick are using this Death Battle to figure out which method of DB fusion they should use on themselves.

Isn't this going to be kind of a one sided fight? Both are pretty much equal in everything with Vegito having one major disadvantage. He will defuse immediately whenever he disperses too much power at once. Meaning he has no real way too finish off Gogeta unless he sits out Gogeta's fusion.
It really depends on which versions of Goku and Vegeta they use to make Vegito and Gogeta. My money is in Gogeta, but they might pull a fast one on us, make both of their fusions run out, and have a 4 way fight with 2 Goku’s and 2 Vegetas’s.

Gotenks went super saiyan 3 against buu but he didn't run out of time, he just ran out of his own power and went back to base. Then in DBS Broly, Gogeta blasts through special attack after special attack and even launching what is literally called the full force kamehameha mostly all while in SSB and he still didn't defuse.
@@THEsauceboi6billion I really think you should rewatch DBZ and DBS. Gotenks made it clear how he was gonna use his time to beat Buu to show off the most. But he miscalculated the ki drain in SSJ3 making him run out of ki, reverting back to base before splitting. DBS Gogeta Kamehameha wasn't actually full power, if it was he would have reverted back to base And the Full Force Kamehameha is a name given to it from outside the anime, it isn't actually "full force". He had plenty of ki left. The time limit is still 30m.

I feel like Gogeta is taking this one, purely based on his power scaling. Vegeto has only had access to two transformations, and admittedly one of them was a top end transformation, but it was also pre-perfection of said form. Gogeta first used blue AFTER Goku perfected it, and Vegeta evolved it, so based on the transformations available, Gogeta has the more perfected version of blue in his arsenal, and he is the only of the two to use SSJ4 outside of Hero's.
I'm always happy seeing DBZ characters on this show since I also love hearing Team Four Star supply the voices.

I love Gogeta so much, one of my favorite characters/fusions. But, I am pretty sure Vegito is winning, sadly :( (Fusion dance requires users to be on the same level, meaning Goku or Vegeta would have to lower or raise their power to fuse.) (Meanwhile, potara fusion lets users combine without lowering any power at all. They can fuse at their max.) Just what I believe.

As far as I can tell, this battle is determined by one thing: Are we comparing the characters based on their appearances in the media, or based on their conceptual abilities and design? The distinction can be better written as "Are we comparing Gogeta and Vegito as possible fusions of Goku and Vegeta at any given point in time, or are we comparing the Gogeta that fought Broly to the Vegito that fought Zamasu?" The reason this matters is really just time. If we are comparing them based on their appearances, Gogeta was used much later in the timeline, after the Tournament of Power, and so he is the result of the fusion of much stronger versions of Goku and Vegeta (a Goku that has experienced Ultra Instinct and fought Jiren, and a Vegeta that managed to "evolve" the Super Sayain Blue form and defeated God of Destruction Toppo), so even if Gogeta is formed with the inferior fusion process, he is starting with much stronger materials. If we are comparing them as conceptual characters, and the fight is between two fusions that would otherwise be formed by versions of Goku and Vegeta that are in all ways equal, Vegito wins based purely on the perfection of the form of fusion. As stated here, the fusion dance requires not only 100% perfected motions, but also for the two fighters to have equalized strength, meaning one of them has to hold back. Even if they managed to perform the dance perfectly, Gogeta is weaker by default. If you somehow managed to find Goku and Vegeta existing at a time where they were perfect equals, and then they performed the dance 100% perfectly, the absolute best case scenario is that Gogeta would be equal to Vegito, with no way to exceed him. The earrings are divinely perfected fusion, they have no skill requirement and do not need for the two to have equal power levels, so nobody needs to hold anything back. Vegito is by design the stronger fusion.
I feel like Gogeta has this one if Vegito is still on a strict time limit. But I won't be mad at whoever wins. I love both fusions.

I'm in kinda of a unique position for this battle: As a kid, I liked Gogeta more than Vegito because his name and appearance were cooler to me. As I got older, I saw Vegito's battle with Super Buu, which completely flipped my position. What I'm saying is, may the best fusion win.
Im curios as to see how would vegito and gogeta meet since both are the fusion of vegeta and goku i mean would invold time travel or parellel universe?

its pointless both are said to be equals... since the retcon of potara not being eternal fusion anymore. but by dbs gogeta seems to be superior in feats having no drawbacks in ssb. but ya interesting to see who these superman fanboys will deem superior fusion. making the tiresome old war carry on.
@@ssppeeaarr context matters, gogeta only lasted more because in the Manga the ssb uses way to many energy but later goku manages to perfect the super saiyan blue, and in the anime vegetto actually has more screentime than gogeta blue so it doesn't matter

" Vegito's first appearance is his fight with Super Buu. If you liked Gogeta more than Vegito, how can this first appearance be the thing that changed your mind? It's like saying you thought Buu was cooler than Beerus, until you saw Beerus for the first time in BotG.
This likely won’t happen, but it would be interesting to see Goku and Vegeta hanging out in the lab with Wiz and Boomstick!

I think gogetas villain killer move or soul punisher would be his downfall, mainly because vegito isn't evil, so it'll either do less dmg or no dmg at all.
This makes me wonder if they're actually going to put a lot of the dragon ball rules to the test. Or are they going to fight them both with no holds barred. Cuz in that case Vegito would win. My guts say gogeta has got this one on the technicality that the fusion dance lasts regardless of the power.

How about Yujiro Hanma from Baki the Grappler? The dude is just as bloodthirsty and probably a good match. For reference, Yujiro once stopped an earthquake by punching the ground hard enough
Nah, a good match for Tao would be Kakashi or Killua. Killua is also an assain so it could work

I feel like Killua;s dad is too weak for a fair fight against Tao, but I guess it might work. You gotta remember that Tao had to be at least moon buster level. He destroyed Goku the first time they fought, and the version of Goku who fought Tao was stronger than Jackie Chun who blew up the moon.

I wonder if you will point out that they can stay fused the longer they train in the fusion dance. While the earrings are limited. The more power they use the shorter their time is. As they had like a hour is super sayian and they only 30mins in super sayian blue. While the fusion dance is 30 mins no matter what unless for whatever reason you are in ssj4 which made no sense at all because they didn't do that for blue. So it's 30 mins no matter what lol. The huge difference is that the earrings are a one time use so once their time is up they can fuse again. While the fusion dance is simple and they can do it again after the fusion time is up. They can do it right after the time is up if they are fast enough.
Can't wait to see the two fusions beating the literal crap out of each other!
It's been officially stated that both Gogeta and Vegeto are equals, so really this fight should either end in a tie or mark Vegeto as the winner due to having a longer time limit.

well since they retconned the potara fusion i believe vegetos fusion would split before gogetas if one is going to defuse. hopefully that wont happen in the death battle as that would be a lazy end of a fight

If we consider both fusions in the same arc then Vegito is stronger when they are using the same transformations but I think he won't be able to put Gogeta down tho because Gogeta is more balanced and stable fusion. If Vegito pushes himself too much he would end up defusing while if Gogeta pushes himself too much it just makes his time limit shorter. I believe Gogeta will win this but let's see.
