Notice how quietly Moxxie cries, even when he's full on sobbing. People who come from abusive homes tend to learn how to break down quietly, so they don't attract the abuser's attention and get into even more trouble.
Shit man I’ve learned to cry silently not because of a toxic home life, but a toxic school life. Like if there’s someone at my school who strikes the cry nerve, I hold it in until I get to a decent place to cry, and then it’s always silent. Just tears, no sniffling or wailing. It’s honestly sad to think about. But on the bright side it does provide a tactical advantage in a survival situation, don’t want the threat to know I am scared.
I’ve never had any abusive anything. My parents are amazing and supportive and really loving and trying their best to get me back in my feet but I’ve learned to do this because I don’t want to have to explain why im crying to my parents because I don’t want them to be worried about me.
I can certify this. I don't even cry I just quietly tear up and then move on

Maybe it's because of personal experience. But 19:21 gets a visceral cathartic reaction out of me. I replayed it 3 times. It's extremely vindicating to see a victim stand up for themself so confidently. Such a wonderfully executed scene all around.

Both Moxxie and Millie were badass in this episode. Moxxie stood up to his father, his abuser, because losing his wife was more terrifying. Millie may have gone apeshit on the crowd - and that’s badass, don’t get me wrong - but think about the courage it took to stand up to Crimson. Character development was through the roof this episode.
Further foreshadowing that Chaz is broke comes at 9:48 where he's finished his food waaaay before anyone else (perhaps quality meals aren't exactly frequent for him).

Hold up, just realized that moxxies name must have came from his mother. Crimson’s name has an edgy and different name, whilst moxxie has a more friendlier tone and doesn’t sound mafiaish at all. Perhaps his mother named him 🤷♀️
Actually, if you remove the second x in Moxxie's name, you'll get the word moxie. The definition of moxie is _'the force of character, determination, or nerve.'_ His mother probably did name him, yes, but it seems that his father must've had the final say.
This is why Moxie and Millie are goals. Millie has moxies back to the end of time. No matter what. And it shows how strong they're love really is. They're my favorite TV couple ever.

Theory: I noticed Crim mentioned Moxxie would, "release his holdings in the company". This implies that Moxxie holds a stake in the mob that can't just be easily taken from him. So, while revenge seems like a good enough reason, Crim might still come after Moxxie because he holds stock in the mob. It could be that he WOULD have just tried to murder Moxxie had Chaz not been a part of the equation.

I love how no matter how angry Millie gets, she will never hurt Moxie. Physically or emotionally. Even when he does find a way to annoy her, she always handles it with grace and composes herself when he catches her in a bad mood.

What I can relate to is that Moxxie's life did get better but his trauma stays the same. I literally cannot stop rewatching this episode it is amazing in every way. Shows how precious Moxxie and Millie’s relationship is how intense Moxxies backstory is and I can’t get over how much I love Chaz. I don’t care what the haters think I adore him! ❤I hope he at least reappears in a flashback I’m curious to know what he did to Millie.

Hopefully someone can clear this up for me, but I’m pretty sure that in the harvest moon festival episode, Moxie said that he was born in the wrath ring, and yet in this episode he says he grew up in the greed ring. Hopefully we’ll get more information about that in later episodes.

Im thinking maybe he was born in wrath and lived there for a short time, but then moved to the greed ring when he was a kid.

@Little Miss Unoriginal Well, he does say "I was _born_ here too" so it's more likely that Moxxie's mother, or possibly even both his parents, were from Wrath, and had Moxxie while in that Ring, then moved to Greed, so Moxxie is local to Wrath by birth, and native to Greed by upbringing. It would make him hate Greed a lot though, and have a lot less of a problem with Wrath, since he either would connect it to his mom, or at least NOT to his dad.
I want to see an episode of how Moxxie and Millie first met, and became married. As the family background of the two of them have now been known, yet hardly if any real showing of how these two met. Unless, I missed something in one of the episodes, talking about that. Like even a flash back or something of how they met would be cool and cute. Cause heck, we see how Moxxie first Blitz meet in this yet no how Millie and Moxxie met. Wonder if they are going to show it in a different episode or something.
