I feel as though they will do a second release or an update to allow for other players/wizards to be apart of the world.. This is just the first phase of this amazing game.. Trust by December we will be hearing about online play
You do see students flying in the video. The NPCs don't seem too lively so hopefully that changes.
Been waiting for something like this since I was a little kid. Remember playing Chamber Of Secrets on PS2; flying around on the broom looking for jelly bean cards and thinking to myself "We need something better than this."

I am so beyond excited for this game. As a lifelong HP fan whose read the books countless times, this game is everything I've ever wanted and is the closest we'll get to attending Hogwarts.
This game looks breathtakingly good. Even as a non-Harry Potter fan who’s of the wrong age to do the films or books as they came out in my 20’s, I’m super impressed by what an amazing job they appear to have done with this game.

I read the Harry Potter series in my 20's. I bought them for my son and started reading them with him. He grew out of them and I was more excited then him when the new ones would come out. They are AWESOME, way better than the movies in my opinion. You get pulled into this magical world easily. Well written literature.
@Max Payne It's not universal. I tried to read it in my 20s and for me it was s*t. I was too old for the "school problems and drama" and found it annoying. The plot it severely lacking, the "main adults" are petty and filled with bigotry. The main character and his friends and their families are morons (the main character was severely abused and when the others found out were like... Not my family not my problem). Not to mention the plot holes that shows that the author never bothered to really review their work and didn't bother to think about details that are not linked to the main plot. So yeah, not universal books, but nice for children for whom it was meant, since the children never bother to pay attention to details. While the whole school drama is more akin their own mindset.
@Cortney Reed Oh definitely it was amazing as a kid, I really got into it at the perfect time. My sister who's 3 yrs younger than me was a bit young to read it properly so she watched the movies with me and she read it a year or two later and re-read the series like 3 or 4 times lol. Unfortunately Fantastic Beasts sucked for me(first was just ok, second I only watched parts of and was like nah), I didn't even bother watching the third one but I'm glad this game is here to get me back into it the world again.
@Z M this. Never cared to read it when I was was a kid and never understood the hype but actually ended up reading the entire series when I was 25 and have been obsessed with it since. Just mad that I missed out on it when I was kid I feel like it would’ve been a lot better with a child’s imagination
This looks so great, my only concern is I hope there is more banter from students and some more exploration music or at least the option to add these things, just for immersions sake. Otherwise I think this will be an excellent rpg personally

This game seems pretty awesome. Glad they decided to include details from the book! One thing that threw me off was the silence. There didn't seem to be very much background noise. Schools are usually filled with all sorts of sounds. The silence made it seem like you were walking in a cathedral.
I went to a college in Washington state, it was honestly pretty quiet everywhere. But yeah it needs more banter from the students especially if they are grouped up facing each other. Other than that it looks amazing.
I have a feeling that some parts of Hogwarts may have more chatter, like the Great Hall when the whole school is there.
This feels like you’re roaming the castle in one of the movies, I have goosebumps

Absolutely incredible. Been a Harry Potter fan since the very first movie. This is a dream come true for all of us fans! The detail, the music, every little thing in the game is amazing. I can imagine so many of us spending hours and hours discovering this whole new world

What I'm mostly interested in is the Dementor's when they come out in the night or a specific area of the game. Also the rest of the goblins, fairies, monsters etc from the movie hopefully they bring it to the game as well and being able to swim as well and Quidditch to. And weather also such as weather effects like rain, haze, fog, snow, cloudy and such so. And who remembers Harry Potter Prisoner Of Azkaban for the gamecube i had it and it was fun.
I have been waiting for this game. The gameplay looks great, the environment design is marvelous. The dev team did a really great job. I thank you for making this game. Can't wait to play it!
I am pretty stoked to play this game. This is one movie i have wanted a game made out of. The character customization and the fact that it introduces new characters to fit into the game is great.

I have never watched Harry Potter or read the books but as a Dark Souls fan who loves sorcery builds I'm actually really liking the look of this game!

This is so wild how crazy this looks. Like I'm not a huge harry potter fan, but this game has me super excited to just explore that entire map. The graphics look great, and the gameplay looks really good too. The team behind this deserves so much praise. If reviews hold up, this might be Darkhorse for Game of the year. This is Wild.
I think at this point it’s fair to say we will not be disappointed in this game I’ve seen soo much footage now and honestly it’s breathtaking I’m absolutely overwhelmed with happiness and excitement now I know this is great 😊

The game is beautiful and with the background music and the environment that's very detailed, they create a truly magical atmosphere. it's worth buying this game for the exploration aspect alone.
My god it looks so beautiful. Imagine how many secrets are awaiting to be discovered inside this castle. But after so many videos and trailers still I don't know who the main antagonist is. In other words who is the bad guy? Is it a person? Is it some kind of dark group like death eaters?
I'll eat my wizard hat if it doesn't turn out to be Professor Black. Why else would they hype him up so much and cast Simon Pegg?

Loving the hints to the movie scores with the in game music. It’s tweaked just enough that they sound a little different but u can hear the motifs that of the movie counter parts👌🏻. Nice touch, even tho for me it irritates me that I hear some of it and can hear the rest from the movie in my head, but it still ends up being ever so slightly different lol.

Looks great. An adventurous, beautiful game. Little details like larger doors opening with a different measure of weight and size would have put the mechanics over the top.
Not a big harry potter fan but glad to see a halfway decent potter game release for those who are! Combat looks fun.

a lot of great optimization techniques shown in this one (e.g. 13:00-13:02 or 16:47, characters are spawning in and their models zip around a bit) because they're being loaded just a little too late, 99% of the work is done and im sure this will be done perfectly at launch. good luck team avalanche looking forward to filing some bug reports in the beta 👍

Currently love everything they release of the game, but I‘m still really scared that it may not life up to our expectations. I‘m also talking as an last gen player, so I atleast have to wait until April and I don‘t know how good it‘s ported. It definitely currently has goty potential, but I think I‘ll wait with preordering a little bit longer. I‘m also really hyped for Zelda totk - where I‘m not as scared of preordering, because they already did one of my favorite games. What I like about this game the most is the hat part, when it decides to go on its own, stop telling teenager which house to chose and make it's own destiny, he hasn't been a hat that long and yet there's always a killer rabbit knocking about, no more wizard, no more magic world, just a talking hat running from the house of them all.

I grew up watching this, introduced by my dad, back then he bought me a vcd copy of the philosophers stone and he figured out I loved it so much that I had to sneak out a machete and cut branches to make a wand and play with lol, now seeing and a chance to experience it as a game is next level, now I wonder if there is a mini game sort of with quidditch that I can't wait to try.

And I've only watched very little of this and the trailers... trying to keep it a surprise as much as I can. I'm very excited for this game, it's all I can think about right now, everything else is secondary. I never read the books, my children and wife did, but we enjoyed the movies so profoundly and I have such great memories collecting all of the toys and playing along with my children. Harry Potter is what took me back to my days of the early 80s having loads of fun with toys and my parents doing the living room up like Toys R Us at Xmas time. HP, like Star Wars, was so original and so much fun, and as a result have such amazing memories built around it. Add to the fact that I'm a gaming fanatic, like so many of you, we've been waiting too long on THIS game! Although I actually enjoyed the HP games on GameCube.
The only people who should make a game based off a movie or a book, should be done by people who are true fans of that film or novel. I am looking forward to seeing this game released. I have no doubt we will finally see a Harry potter world done right

The castle has me in awe! One of the main things I hoped they would nail is the castle as I've always wanted to explore it for myself. It looks so alive and beautifully designed. I'll have to explore the whole castle before I start the missions. Also, the floo flame that you unlocked in the library, is that a fast traveling point using floo powder? The NPCs around is great, but I would love to see more talking around and some of them talking to or greeting the MC or even the NPCs casting random spells from time to time

The atmosphere is great. But I gotta say.. To complete the atmosphere, we need more talking from NPC to NPC & from NPC to player. Even, I would like to see some reaction from NPC’s for what you are doing in the open world. You fly on your broom, NPC say "Why people gotta fly everywhere??" You know? A little bit more reactions to form the perfect atmosphere (:

If there's any universe that deserves an open world it's the Harry Potter universe. I've been waiting for this since the HP games started.

Based on everything I've seen and learned about this game, it really looks like Hogwarts Legacy has GOTY potential....when you have a world loved by so many and a dev team so excited and passionate about a game, plus the fact that this game has been in development for 5-6 years and not rushed like so many other games, it's just a recipe for greatness! Harry Potter fans have been waiting for a game like this since the release of the movies and no Harry Potter game has come close to what this game seems to be offering. I am beyond excited!!!

Even though the game looks phenomenal and very much could be a masterpiece. It’s also a shame that it’s releasing the same year as Tears of The Kingdom. No matter how good this game is, it won’t beat TOTK for GOTY.
