I Built a GIANT LEGO Castle For My Cats! I combined 10 of the LEGO Lion Knight's Castle with a ton of extra bricks, to create the ultimate GIANT LEGO castle, for my cats Ralph and Bella!
A big thanks to Sven from SeeYouInMainstreet for voicing Van Gogh!

  • We raised £36,545.34 for schools in Cambodia! Thanks so much everyone, you’re amazing! The shoutouts will be in the next video, and £50 / $50 + donors should have been emailed a form to fill in with the name / names you want shouted out, so please keep an eye out for it. I’ll keep you posted with updates from charity:water and the specific schools / projects we’ve funded in future videos, but once again, thanks a million, I've been blown away by your generosity. THANK YOU!

  • the time traveler is really ESSENTIAL for making sure that everything is consistent 😌

  • All the little compartment rooms add so much life to this 100% historically-accurate castle! It turned out incredible 😄

  • Chris never disappoints

  • If this is what Chris can do half-asleep, we will be astounded by what he can do fully awake..

  • This is gorgeous. Absolute piece of art.

  • It is only after building the Lego Castle set myself that I begin to understand how epic this feat of Lego building is! With each of the 26 sections taking between around 1hr 15mins and 1hr 30mins to build, the unedited castle takes around 40 hours; but you combined 5 of them with thousands of extra bricks! That is bonkers! Well done Chris!

  • I love the attention to detail you put into the rooms, and how you actually give us a little tour for each of them. Some youtubers put lots of fun details, but dont linger long enough for me to appreciate them, but I’m glad ypu take the time to show us around.

  • I love that you pretty much built an awesomely oversized post for the cat to rub against. Your cats are very lucky😄

  • Chris is a master builder, he pays EXTREME attention to detail and knows his facts. Very wonderful to watch his his content.

  • The fact that this dude built a lego castle for his cats for no reason at all really makes me feel that he loves his cats a lot :)

  • Chris makes such wholesome content. I am just so happy to watch great quality well-narrated videos. It's so satisfying. Thanks, Chris.

  • I love how Chris admits it’s inaccurate then creates a whole backstory to cover it up 😂

    • Megan 8:00

    • I didn't see anything inaccurate. I did notice a shortage of carrots tho.

    • @Heruhcane Deanaround the 4 minute mark

    • If anyone complains that time travel wasn't invented yet back when Vincent Van Gogh lived, it's just that a future time traveller time traveled back to him, bringing the time machine with them.

    • ikr

  • I love the castle! Very creative especially with the little details and such, hope you can make more Lego buildings for your cats!

  • This is so incredibly fun and amazing! Love how creative and wild your builds are. This is so fun! Loved the editing of the video too. Amazing work man!

  • My kids and I have binged pretty much all of your videos in the last week. and then re-binged, and re-binged... (I have a 5 year old... She actually made Ralph and Bella out of a few paper plates the other day.) I just want to say, I love your sense of humor and your authenticity whenever you talk about your life/cats/hobbies. It makes the fifth rewatch of a vid just as enjoyable as the first. And your theme song is constantly stuck in my head... In this video, in particular, I was rolling with laughter with your explanation about the timetraveler. It's brilliant and wonderfully meta with the comments and it was just perfect. Love your stuff, and I look forward to the sixth binge and more!

  • Wow Chris! This just fits with your series by now. Great work! It is amazing the amount of work you put in for us and your cats! Happy new year to you, and hope you are feeling better from your joust (get it? it's a castle!!!) with Covid. Also, love the new Ralph and Bella theme!

  • It looks like a classic medieval castle to me, albeit with creative liberties taken. 😀 Now, the king and queen need a carriage to travel around their realm in, I actually have that very set somewhere.

  • The Lego builds get more impressive every time! I wish I had the kind of dedication and creativity you do!

  • This was so heartwarming to watch! This is the kind of castle I would've dreamed of building as a kid, and your cats are so cute too! That portcullis head scratcher looked so satisfying.

  • The little "verassing!" of van Gogh was so cute and a perfect touch!! I'm dutch myself, so that definitely made me smile :)

  • Amazing video ! I love being able to feel the work and passion that goes into each video. I wish you a wonderful new year and I hope I can see even more of your ideas :))))

  • Absolutely epic mate. Proud to have a fellow Brit doing this mad stuff 👌

  • At this rate, Chris’ll build a space station for these two fluffballs.

  • This is a magnificent castle. You should be paid to put these works in a museum. And I like how you casually say “This is ten of them”

  • So amazing, bravo on using your platform and reach to do something positive and pay it forward. I’d love to know how long the castle build took you? Keep up the amazing work, wishing you and yours a wonderful day/week.

  • Always a joy to watch your LEGO adventures. 😁

  • This is absolutely gorgeous ,nice work as always

  • Always on the menu in this castle: frog legs! 😂 Thanks for the fun, Chris.

  • As a historian I can confirm that Van Gogh using a time travelling machine in order to deliver various artifacts to medieval castles is in fact historically accurate, and this lego recreation is sufficiently authentic.

    • lol

    • It's true there have been stories about Van Gogh where he would go disappearing for long periods of time and he would always come back with new inspiration

    • ok

    • Liar those weren't invented then or now

    • @kitkatcrosby knowledge from other countries

  • I love how much work chris puts into his things. Good job

  • We love your videos. Found you while looking for something to watch with our 5 year old. Now he is 7 and so excited that your plushies are back. We rushed to order one of each. The only thing we wish is that we could get the donut for Bella. Thanks for re-releasing them! We missed it last time and we are so excited we got in this time!

  • I love that Chris cares so much about his cats. 😊

  • I love how you spark creativity in my kiddos. My youngest loves making 🐈 caves/houses for the cats prior to finding your channel, and now she has taken it to a whole new level. She made a cat home with an elevator and food station. I have cardboard everywhere and I love it. Thank you for all your amazing videos.

  • Wow, never seen a cat Logo castle. Love all of your ideas and charity work Chris!

  • This was great Chris! I really liked how you used a different lens or effect to show the Minifigures in perspective- to seem very small. Similar to the LEGO movie!

    • Thanks Riley! I had a lot of fun creating the little mini figure scenes and stories!

    • u 2 ar SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOL

    • Both channnels LEGO things are either satisfiying or very cool or even both!

  • Wow, I can't even begin to imagine how much effort that took for you to make. It's so amazing, well done! I always love how the build montage always is in sync with the music. It's so satisfying (: Also... French stick! :D (0:23 - 0:24)

  • Love how you always go the extra mile for your content. You didn't have to add rooms into all the empty nooks and crannies, make a dragon or even compose a medieval-ish and out-of-tune-piano version of the Ralph and Bella theme song!Never change, Chris

  • Gotta love how Chris's hallmark for a good lego set is how many frogs it has

  • Chris never fails to entertain us 🙂

  • It's been really weird yet awesome watching Chris slowly become a Lego CS-tvr.

  • Love your castle! The details are amazing and I just realize how big it is once the cats entered.

  • Most likely explanation for why the cats seem obsessed with rubbing against your builds: you've handled every single brick and your scent is all over them, so naturally your cats want to add their scent (that's what the cheek rub does. Cats have scent glands in their cheeks). Cat 'scenting" in this manner is half bonding, half claiming. I suppose you could call it their mark of approval on your work.

  • Yay the plushies are back!! Love the castle I wouldn't of had the patience or skill to build it myself great video!

  • I love the ivy on the outside of the castle and all the interior details. Very cool.

  • Super clever, great build, really fun to watch

  • Ralph and Bella are adorable. The headbutts of approval make my day.

  • This guy is a legend. He is an Egyptian fr, he worships his cats and does whatever they want.

  • The castle looks amazing 🤩

  • I love how this man takes his time to Fr make a bad version and a very calm version of the Half-Asleep Chris theme song.

  • I'm not even into Lego or some of the other stuff Chris is into, but I watch every video because of the production value... And Bella and Ralph.

  • You’ve made a cardboard castle, a wooden castle and now a massive lego castle! You have an enormous mind for your cats!

  • So nice! I love the Castle. Your videos are superb. I love your descriptions and Ralph and Bella. You're a great Human and it shows how much you care about your two cats. You are very creative, and very detailed. Keep up the great videos. I now have way to entertain myself, keep my mind off of the troubles of the world. I thoroughly enjoy your videos!☺ Thank you for being you and all of your creativity!!

  • The fact that you had the patience to get some of these shots is so impressive. Great video as per usual!

  • So fun! I had to watch it twice to admire all the details in the rooms =)

  • I have never built anything that big! Great job!!

  • Yeah this is the content I aspire to make. Brilliant video really enjoyed it and love the cats. And the derails in the castle. Truly amazing.

  • Wished Lord of the Rings LEGO sets made a comeback. Would love to see you expand this castle with the walls from those sets.

  • What a amazing castle.I have been watching Chris build Lego sets from the first train he built. I loved that from then on he has been creating bigger and bigger Lego marvels. Keep going Chris love it

  • Lego had never interested me because I had trouble seeing what Chris can see; what the humble Lego brick could become. I've loved all the Lego videos so far but this one is incredible, I love all the little rooms and details. The plants and greenery really bring it to life! I even saw the Chef taking advantage of that handy umbrella you installed! If there's room I'd lug it up to your office and add a train station stop for the castle villagers! Thankyou for sharing Chris, and Happy New Year!!!

  • Delightful! What a nice castle to keep one's Chrises in.

  • Fantastic as always. My son and I are super excited about the plushies. We got Ralph last time so will get Bella this time. Plus the accessories for Ralph. Tax not being included in price is not normal to us Aussies either. I believe its a US thing. Apparently all stores in USA only put the base cost on labels etc and its only when you go to pay the tax is added on. Very weird indeed, makes it difficult to judge if you can afford if on a budget

  • Fantastic build dude,,your creativity astounds me, I had a great time watching your video

  • Awesome build! Wonder how many hours you spent making it.

  • incredible, the castle was "cat size" but it is such as big for human size, simply amazing!

  • The only downside to living in a Lego castle is that you’d probably step on Legos often.

  • Love it, Chris. I shared this with my gddtrs who love building Legos.

  • As a Lego CS-tvr I can say that this man is live the ABSOLUTE DREAM!👀

  • thank you chris. I am new here. I am not an artist but I had a creative block but after seeing this and browsing over 100 different lego sets that I realised I couldn't buy right away I took apart my brother's 25+ yr old set and built something cool !

  • this is a lovely build! by far a favorite that youve made :)

  • I bought Ralph and Bella!! Can’t wait for them to come! 😁

  • Chris never disappoints. happy new year everyone.

  • Thank you so much for having an accessory pack avaiable for the plushies if we already got the initial versions!

  • Love the amount of Lego frogs that went into this Chris!

  • A colony of seagulls? Hide your fish and chips! ;) Jocks of the air, those birds. But I like them anyway. They do some tricky flying sometimes, and if you ever get to look from a height at a little flock wheeling and spinning in the sunlight, they seem to shimmer as grey alternates with white in their rapid flapping. Lovely castly build! 10/10; would live there. ;) Ran out of windows and covered the space with ivy? That's actually not too unrealistic. In the past, there was a saying in the real world about architects covering their mistakes with ivy. *blink blink... stare... compare...* Did you actually manage to sit in it?

  • Amazing work! I love how when Ralph broke a piece off the portcullis he immediately looked at the camera

  • I think Chris could even make a video about watching paint dry interesting! Stay awesome! (PS: The time traveler is a good detail!)

  • It's always nice to see stuff built for Ralph and Bella!

  • I've been at a sleepover with friends for a few days now . And even though your cat barely resembles mine , the first thing that popped into my head after seeing Ralph was "Greg". the name of my cat , who is much sleeker and smaller than yours. I love your videos and your cats , how you are having an amazing day .

  • Respect to this man making montages and making his cats happy as they can be

  • It’s nice to see that Tom is still time travelling even be on the grave 😊

  • Woohoo!!! We are SO excited to be able to buy Bella and Ralph Plushies =)

  • I'm going through a really rough time and just found your channel and it brings me so much joy. Thank you for existing

  • Hi Chris, I have been a fan of your videos recently. Since 2020, I’ve seen your content, and they’re a very pleasant change of pace to the rest of the content on CS-tv. While most aim for a specific audience, your content is made for all ages, and I love that! My favourite videos are mainly your Lego videos, the ones with your cats and your travel videos! I’ve loved your videos a lot. I just want to ask you something, you’ve had an absence of travel videos recently. I’ve just wanted to ask if you’re planning any travel videos for the future. If you’re reading this, thank you for making my 2020-22 better! Happy new year! 🎉

    • Hey, thanks a lot! Travel videos as they were won't return on this channel (but I might one day start a channel for travel vlogs etc.) but over the next few months, I've got some videos planned that incorporate travel in to lego and cat videos... very exciting! EDIT: Actually, I do intend to one day finish the 'Travel Journal' series on this channel.

    • @Half-Asleep Chris Wow I’d love that! The travel journal series was one of my favorites and i was a little disappointed that it had disappeared. I love the new content tho it feels so fresh and unique!

    • @Half-Asleep Chris Half asleep Chris! At this point you should be a Lego designer!

    • @Half-Asleep ChrisI’ll be really interested to see those videos in the future, thank you for your response Chris, you seem like a very pleasant person to talk to physically! I can’t wait to see the travel journal series to return and have it’s proper sendoff (if it does return, that is). I also would like to see you incorporate travel into your Lego and cat videos!

    • @Alligators are coolyes he definitely should be i don't understand how he can build on freehand like that

  • The videos keep on getting better, and I’m amazed at how he keeps one-upping himself. Keep up the good work man 👍😄

  • this is my first video i'm watching for this channel, and at first i could have sworn it was daniel radcliffe speaking (bc i know he plays w/lego too) haha, but very happy with this lego builder person! i LOVED your "carrots colored orange, nor did they start growing vertically out of the ground like this until 2064" comment! 🤣 HILARIOUS! i look forward to seeing more of your videos!

  • Dude! The quality of your videos is mind blowing! The editing, the humor, and your creativity and builds are incredible! You are a legend! Greetings from the Netherlands.

  • This is lovely! Both, the castle as well as this video!

  • 4:25 I love the little nod to Tom the time traveler! A great throw back to your old videos, when you mentioned the time traveler I instantly thought of him and then actually noticed the figure

  • Chris, do you have any idea how much your videos delight us? I hope so. Your lego work is always impressive, as is your stop-motion filming and editing. This castle, along with all of the perfect accessories, is a masterpiece. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • I am a major cat lover, and have three pet cats, one of which looks EXACTLY like Ralph. I call him Canadian Ralph, and personality is the same. always ignores what i do for him to some extent. Keep up the good work!

  • I love this video much like all your others

  • I love the exquisite detail and wordplay as you build the castle 🏰 😊

    • Oh and I love the music it’s quite astonishing

  • I'm not even a Lego fan, but this was amazing! And I was so happy to see the frogs 😁

  • I'm only a minute and a half into this video and I can already say that this castle is epic.

  • This is such an amazing concept! I wish I had enough LEGOs to build something like this! Keep up this kind of work, and I wouldn't be surprised if you'd get to be on LEGO Masters!

    • imagine if lego officially approacher half asleep Chris to make this castle set!

    • @Oleg Geraschenko Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! YESSS! That would be so cool! >u< I would sooo buy this if it was a set!

    • @StarSunCentral yes i would too and i would put my little doggy in it

    • @StarSunCentral all £4000+? each lion knights castle alone is £350 and all the extra bricks would've cost a small fortune.

    • @Natasha Eliot ...Wow. After just converting that to US Dollars... That can most likely remain a dream... But it would be cool! ^_^'>

  • Oh… my… god! I loved the medieval Ralph and Bella theme!

  • love it chris keep it going hope bella and ralph will like your future creations

  • if this is what chris can do half-asleep, we are going to be absolutely astonished by what he can do fully awake

  • I wish I could build something like that for my cat but knowing her she would ignore it and my dog would destroy it Well done on the castle it’s amazing
