Great fighter Carl. It’s hard to believe them 2 are good buddies but that’s life carls skill came through in the end after nearly losing that first fight but their both great lads will be fantastic watching them and I think they genuinely are good mates now

Carl is a very good middleweight that didnt deserve his critics on you tube or similar...he respected his opposition id say all of he openly admitted that Andre ward was a style of fighting that he struggled to comprehend...he said kessler and him were both almost equally as good as each other the 2 fights proved these comments...he fought who was in front of him and he beat most he wasnt afraid of joe calzaghe but joe had no reason to take on carl,, carl knows joe was a great fighter...he knows that the fight game is hard really hard to be the best at but he fought who was around at the time if you think eubank benn watson hagler nunn collins sugar ray/ duran, sibson Graham would have all beaten carl including joe thats your call your oppinion but carl retired as a proven champion in the sport of many good fighters he didnt duck or fight old guys he didnt he wasnt the best middleweight thats had belts but he was champion

'I gave some of those rounds to Warrington on workrate, even though he wasn't landing.' Carl, that's not how boxing judges score fights. Someone who doesn't know the guidelines on how to score fights shouldn't be broadcasting.
Clean punches are only one of the 4 categories that are used to judge who wins a round. Defense, effective aggression and ring generalship being the other 3. It’s very subjective. That being said, I believe warrington lost the fight too.

I don't much care for boxing nowadays infact the only fights I watch are Fury's to see if anybody manages to beat him.... Besides that I've given up on boxing because the boxers of today can't match up with greats back in the day like Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Rahman, Bruno, Golota, Buster Douglas, Marvin Hagler, Hearns and the great selection of boxers back in the day.... Boxing is full of boring fighters these days like Usyk, Wilder, Joyce and even though Tyson Fury is a great fighter you can't compare the entertaining value to boxing back in the day because it's nowhere on that level anymore.... David Benavidez is a great boxer but there's just not enough great boxers.... I miss the Lennox Lewis fights, Rahman fights and the old boxers and boxing needs to be put back on the map because it's gone downhill... Carl Froch and George Groves were great but all that's in the past .
