I'm totally with you on this one. I had no idea who John is. I used to be a huge country fan until it went soft and contemporary. Tom-on the other hand- is someone that hits me to the core and has for a long time. I can't really get into this song-it looks like I'm the only one here with that reaction. But Johns' message and personality are spot on.

I've always been a country fan, not much liked rap, hip hop, etc. Then one day, about a year ago, my son showed me a video of Tom MacDonald and I was hooked! I was thrilled to hear lyrics that expressed what I was feeling. Love you Tom, keep doing what you are doing, this country needs your voice!!!

When I became in charge of a dental clinic in my young 20s my Colonel told me, I expect you to understand any situation and make a decision. I almost cried, (okay I kinda cried a little) when you shared your childhood memory of your folks speaking about our country. You are a true red blooded American Tom Macdonald!!!!!!
I absolutely loved this. I wish I could have watched it while you guys were live. You know Tom I think I would really enjoy being in a conversation with you and John to. I found your music in the fall of 2019 and right away I was drawn in by your lyrics. I'm a person that likes in depth conversation and have always loved it when I could take the topic to a level that would make people start to really think about b it with an all new perspective. I'm only 36 years old but for years I have watched how everything around has been chasing over time. I typically have a way of finding patterns in almost everything and not sure why it how but have always seemed to be that way for as long as I can remember. I have my own little personal idea of a timeline of how and when the start of all this chaos was initiated into motion. After watching this show with you and John I started thinking man this is so crazy. That's because after finding your music utube in 2019; it made me look around and see what other music is out there. Over the next few months I was amazed at how many people and songs I found speaking on topics like you were. It was crazy though because from the start of my searching until a few months after I watched the number of songs I was finding had kept growing. I know all artists may not think about of each other even though they obviously share the same message, I watched b slot of them end up saying things like I'm nothing like Tom Macdonald etc. But you Tom we're one of the first ones to really throw it all out there at once without holding back and didn't worry about what anyone thought.. In my opinion you started something big and with doing that it caused others to step up and speak their mind also. It was in all genres of music to bc I listen to everything. I love all kinds of music and that is because I am all about feeling the lyrics and relating to the message or emotions of the song. I have realized something about b myself in the past 3 years after a fallout with hard hit depression. Not only have I always loved music but there are times I speak through music. It was on point enough that. My music changes as my mood changes all throughout the day and at my old job I was at for almost 13 years I would wear one of my earbuds while I was working my shift and I had one customer tell me that they could always tell what kind of mood I was in and what music I was playing as soon as they walked into the building and seen me because as the music changed so did my place and expressions on my face I guess. It was crazy and when I thought about it I seen just how much music is in time with me emotionally and turned out to be the only medicine and therapy I had for the 3 years I've dealt with depression and anxiety. So with that being said during the time I watched more and more ppl start to speak out through their music I had made a comment during the summer time of 2020. I had said to several people that music is going to be what gets people to start standing up and fighting back. I said with all these artists and their songs in country music, Rick music, hip hop, and christian music will end up getting people that listens their type of music and then the artists in all these different types of music will start coming together which then with combine each of their fan base together also and that will be what takes back the land of the free. That you musicians will end up being the warriors and inspiration that will each start waking everybody up to the evil going on around us and behind the scenes. I said it won't matter what type of music an artist sings but it will be all about the message that needs to be heard. So now you see why I'm so glad to see this podcast that you and John did together tonight. It really made me smile and gives me a little bit of relief like a breath of fresh air. It also helps me to keep v having faith that all isn't lost yet and things can still get better. I'm also a very empathetic person ... To much at times.... That when right after that depression hit me hard and then seeing all the news reports and the death counts everywhere..... I literally had to stop watching it and stop looking at the newspaper and all bc it was physically making me sick and made me hurt for all the families being affected. But it was right after that time when I finally seen how bad things had gotten everywhere throughout the world. I literally couldn't believe what I was seeing all around me. So when I found your music and began to see more come out i felt so relieved that there was still people that see what I see and that I was not crazy that almost everything we were taught about morals and self worth and hard work and helping others and on being respectful and not to give up..... All that is now backwards. I mean almost everything you can think of is now completely backwards and it's all so plain as day but I see people just going about their day like it has been this way all along and try to make you feel crazy for saying otherwise. It's like a switch was flipped all at once and they don't even notice the charge and it is all now all normal....uhhh wrong.... So far from normal. But I guess I have been going on long enough. I have been told by several that my texting is just as bad as my talking just in book form lol. I just wanted to share how what seeing this podcast did for me. I hope to see more start coming together bc it will take all of you to bring people back together as a whole and start erasing all these labels and non factual issues that's placed everywhere to make everyone fuss and fight so people break up into smaller more isolated groups which then are easier to manage and keep track of. So thank you to both of you guys for what you do and remain standing. Lots of respect to y'all both. Can't wait to hear more..... Of you guys ever do plan to get together and do a show or gathering or something in Tennessee h that would be great. I'm not near Nashville though but more towards Chattanooga lol . Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart! I'm 56 Gma from Omaha NE. I have 3 adult children and 9 kids! John, unfortunately my dad was very abusive to me, so at the age of 10, I began running away. After a few bad experiences trying to trust my life in others hands,I learned, I'm the only one who will keep me safe. I dug a hole in a cornfield and covered myself during the night! Scary? Not TO ME! Bring beat was worse! Because of this I didn't have more then a 6 grade education. Fast forward to many years later, I got arrested! Go figure! 😅 I was detoxing off drugs badly, and the jailhouse pastor noticed me and asked if I would like a bible. I turned around and said "I can't read that thing" he said "God will give you the ability to read it if you want too" ya right, ok. I took it anyway. Well b4 I got out, I was reading that bible! I owe this to that pastor who believed this! So that started the tears flowing! Because now God is my everything! I wasn't arrested! I was rescued! To this Day I know that! The system started screwing me at a young age, but I'm a fighter and never gave up! I now have the privilege of living threw my 3 kids who beat all the odds as well thanks to my fkd past! My baby, 27 just bought his 2nd house listed at $450,00. With his 1st baby in the way! All my kids are homeowners, have great jobs and kids! I am the PROUDEST MOM! I DID IT! 😂 I haven't worked since 2011, long story. Now I can't go in public without risking my freedom! I will go to jail over these woke dummies! I hate it! Give me LIBERTY or give me DEATH! If I could find a job where I could shout this from the rooftop, Id be the CEO! But I haven't yet. I have found, I'm super creative! I love making things with wood! No challenge to big! A friend introduced me to Tom’s material about a year ago, and I was taken to it immediately. End of the World is BIG and so moving! The union is so awesome!
