It's quite easy, you don't want the officer to lose time, so you need to quickly take you pistol out of you holster to give it to him as fast as posible

ALWAYS wait until the officer has you in plain view then you tell him “Officer I have my pistol on me it’s on my right/left side hip/waist/pocket/back area. Then you let him know you have a license/permit to carry. And while you’re doing all this keep your hands on the top part of the steering wheel and NEVER do quick movement or sudden moves.
Just a little bit of respect is all it takes. Great job on both sides of the door.

@Lance Boggs It’s a reasonable suspicion. There have been numerous cases where drivers have pulled their guns out at the officers, catching them off guard. And this is America, so you can’t really afford to be carefree (as an officer) when people can get guns so easily nowadays.
I have a perfect spot on my dash where every time I drive, my wallet and car info sit in plain site along with my hands. Never have to reach out of view for anything law enforcement may ask for. I can tell you they appreciate that more than you know especially when I let them know I'm carrying. Shows respect for them and their well being putting in the forethought. Wise up dude!!!

On the rare occasion I get pulled over for a traffic violation, I always tell the officer I will be reaching in my glove box for registration and insurance card. I dont answer questions but It never fails that I get a break on the speed written on the ticket and a thank you. Give respect to get respect. It's just a damn ticket not the hill I'm planting my flag on for no good reason.
First thing you do is reach into your hoodie while saying “I’ve got my pistol right here”
Then you pull out the pistol to show the officer. Make sure he gets a good look down the barrel to see that there isn't a round in the chamber. Just remember to make your movements as fast and unpredictable as possible 😂

The one time i was pulled over and i have my firearm in the holster between my center console and my passenger seat, i informed the officer of it and pointed at it keeping my hands away from it. He simply had me finish the traffic stop in the passenger seat of his cruiser. Not sure why but he was super chill about it.

@Ashlin Day Yes, it's safer if you do. Telling the officer you have a firearm usually will help prevent the situation from escalating. It's really just a matter of the officer is more likely to trust you if you tell them than if they are doing routine procedure and see it without knowing it's there. Edit: It should be noted that the way the guy recording is handling this is far from safe, you should have your hands on the wheel or at least visible the whole time and only SLOWLY reach for things when asked for them.
Only suggestion I would offer is tell him you have a pistol AFTER you put your hands out the window, not as your hands are in your pockets lol.
