Breaking a 38 year old record with total of 38,388 pts, at the age of 38. And he scored 38 pts this game, on the 38th day of the year. It's all part of the plan👑🐐
@snoozy04 Thanks. It appears the OP edited that into their post.
@star trek star wars keep dreaming marble balls
@Yoced i am your father treat me with some respect
In terms of longevity and taking care of his body in order to put up consistent numbers is what makes him great. Congratulations dude! One of the greatest of all time for sure and just a plus to have #1 scoring of all time
People have to understand that Kareem had that record with only shooting 1 3point shot in his whole career and he played several years in college. Lebron came straight out of highschool and just broke the record now. It goes to show how crazy Kareem’s record is.
@Diamondlife 9 Kareem broke the record with just sky hooks 🥱
I totally agree. Kareem’s scoring is WAY more impressive.
Lebron beat the record in less games, try again.
Also shows how crazy lebron is for being so talented so young, and for being capable of being good in traditional basketball areas along with being able to adapt to an increasingly 3 pointer filled era
It’s crazy that Lebron is in his 20th season and is still a top 5 player in the NBA. We truly are witnessing greatness
@Eric Burr the lakers arent in last place
@Eric Burr That man is 80 years old with 500000 miles or minutes on his legs. I'm surprised he made it this far.
Greatness? He is sitting the bench hurt while his team is in last place. Where is the greatness.
Almost like it's staged
If not top 5, in the top 10. And that's still crazy.
To play 20 years like it’s in your prime is definitely inhuman. He truly deserves it. Congratulations King. What an amazing career
not only does he deserves it but I also believe that playing this long he deserves to be number 1 on the scoring list.
Much respect to LeBron for keeping in shape and being able to perform at a high level this deep in his career. Great accomplishment 👏🏾
If Ben Simmons maintains this years average of 7.4 ppg, he would only need to play at least another 55 full seasons in order to catch LeBron.
Funny shot🤣🤣🤣
He could break the record for most bricks. And he could give some bricks to a construction site..
he doesn’t actually play like an nba player and isn’t injury prone… he will do it ❤
- Grace saves people from the consequences of their sin. The Bible states that people are saved by the Grace of God - Truth frees. The Bible says that Jesus is the Truth, and that the Truth will set you free. - Therefore, Jesus allows you to be set free from the false freedom, which is the self-destructive indulgence in things of the world, and instead lets you see the bigger picture: God and his kingdom. - When you have Jesus, he can save you from the consequences of your sins, and give you salvation.
🤣🤣🤣
The most consistent NBA player of all time. He’s been durable, he’s been a great scorer and playmaker for 20 years. Incredible.
@JJD and he also wanted to win more than anything else and he knew that was a team sport
@User Unknown no that's called a traditional point guard this is not he is a small forward
@Solid Snake Lebron's 4th quarter points in that series were hilarious... What'd he have? Like 18 points in 72 minutes? Hahaha
@User Unknown I forgot about that series. Shawn marion shut him down and Jason Terry was cooking him
And he's lucky he never faced a prime bird because he would just get embarrassed and bird would give him a reality check lol
Beast of a player and even better being off the court. I can never remember him getting in trouble off the court. Hands off to him for being a good role model for his kids!
I totally agree with the off the court part.
Those MVP chants gave me goosebumps. So glad i watched this live man, witnessed history today 👑
@User Unknown the greatest quitter in the history of nba, walk out Queen that's not the character of a goat.
Kareem has 6 MVP Awards. Lebron needs only 3 more to break Kareem's record.
Jordan still has more rings 😁
Always great to chant MVP for the leader of a team with a losing record. Hahahaha
@slattatronnn He's been known to fake injuries for over a decade now.
As a kid I saw Lebrons first NBA game vs the Kings. 20 years later I watched him break the points record. Amazing!
Same . I'm blessed to have watch his whole career
Gives me chills seeing him and his family In that moment
Crazy to think that we would see this in our lifetime. The kid from Akron has come a long way. Congrats LeBron!❤
We don’t have much to celebrate in boring Ohio. But this man (and you too Kyrie even though your ego broke the team up immediately after) gave me a moment I’ll never forget back in 2016 as I watched the Cavaliers win Cleveland’s only championship in a span of what is now 59 years. Watched it with my Dad on Father’s Day. He was reaching the point where he thought he would never see a Cleveland championship. Now, again thanks to Lebron, we can say the all time leading scorer in the NBA’s 76 year history is from here in Ohio. I know he had losing finals record, but 4 rings is still 4 rings. This man is legendary, and I’m glad to have witnessed his career. I think a lot of people are going to miss watching him play when he’s gone and will realize they shouldn’t have spent his whole run taking things for granted and endlessly hating him just because they liked Jordan back in the day. Jordan was a phenomenon himself, that doesn’t mean we have to get all insecure and hate every future athlete the media compares to him.
This man is walking in his purpose!!! Way to do great things and bring sooo many along with you!!!
A truly great player and an even greater person, a man who was labelled The Chosen One out of high school with the greatest expectations we've ever seen on a young player yet despite so many people waiting for him to fail he somehow managed to even exceed expectations and he did it all while representing the sport in an impeccable fashion, appreciate this guy while he's still around.
Lol.
😂😂😂
The fact that this man is a pass-first player, 4th all-time in assists, and still managed to break the scoring record is absolutely phenomenal. We will never see another player be top five in both categories. Ever.
@Daddy I know he’s one of the greatest passers that guy just said he had the most assists so I was just saying that he didn’t have the most in history
@Landon McGhee the only guys ahead of him are Pure point guards though namely Stockton,CP3 and Kidd. For an SF to be in the top 4 is ridiculous.
i disagree with you. i believe that no one will ever be able to have as many assists or as many points as lebron. So you are wrong because lebron is one of a kind.
I love how in all other sports they wait for the end of the game for these ceremonies, but in basketball it’s like “nah get the family on the court, the game can wait!”
Hater
basketball isnt a sport its "entertainment"
I keep watching this, so amazing and not like any other basketball moment I've experienced before. The huge celebration, game stoppage, official commissioner announcement and everything. Been a LeBron fan since I was a teenager back in 2007 and it's crazy to see this now
so proud of him man, been a huge lebron fan since 2010/11 when he first played for the Heat, when i was 8/9 years old lmao. had alot of the shoes growing up and lebrons always been a huge inspiration to me man, had tears watching this live.
Love him or hate him, we’re gonna miss this man when he retires 😔😔
@Nineteen Million my man, why are you hating so hard?
Nope. Right now the lakers are a better team without him. lol
" 38,388 points ..... without a single skyhook" (LeBron James)
“This man has accomplished something that I don’t believe, and I mean this sincerely, I don’t think this will ever happen again.” - Former Lakers broadcaster, Chick Hearn, when Kareem became the all time scorer on April 5, 1984.
@Lukas Fontana Karl Malone was just as consistent before being injured his last year. Just like Malone, lebron has a similar physique to endure strenuous activities
@Fred Werza Well we can't change when we were born. Wilt was still an anomaly. As much as Kareem, MJ and LeBron. Sure there were guys with similar physiques and skill. But the raw talent and ability of these four is very special. I'd throw magic and bird in there also
@M W you can say what you want lol. Just be mindful of cuss words. They have strange demonic ties to them.
In the no defense league. 1000% this record gets broken again.
@darknesshatesthelight even if mj had 1 ring. still better than lebron. lebron played in way more games. kind of like getting 4000 hits.
What a career he’s had.
That's quite an accomplishment! Much respect.
I may have never been a huge fan of LeBron but he’s one of the best to ever do it so congrats man
a legend never dies my friends.
What an incredible moment!! Year 20 and he has broken the record and is now the NBA All-Time Scoring Leader!! Congrats Lebron!!
...I mean LeFlop has been in the league for 20 seasons 🙄
Incredible moment for me was watching a 11th place OKC team outpace, outshoot and beat a Lakers team who’s fans and media only care about stats and records. Lakers will be sending their lotto pick to the Pels Keep on losing Lakers!! That’s what I care about!
@JL J LeBron played 150 less games then Kareem to break the Record. If Kareem knew how to shoot a 3 pointer he'd have more points.
@Ricky Phoenix little ricky phoenix. Lol beta..? 🤣 that made me laugh ICL
Thanks for the breakdown 🤣
Once in a lifetime moment. Never thought I’d see it.
Congrats Lebron. You rock. Blessings to you and yours.💕
Wilt's all time rebound record and stockton's all time assist record are the ones that will never be broken
@Kevin Cheeseboro to be able to break stockton's record is you have to play all 82 games atleast 15 or 16 times in a 20 year career, average 12 or 13 assists per game 9 times, 1'000+ assists per season 6 or 7 times
@Skye Slaton you right my mistake it’s cp3 and still not close
@Kevin Cheeseboro nope
Bron is the closest active player to Stockton with steals and assists, even still it’s not even close.
& Rus's all time triple double
LeBron has further cemented himself as one of the greatest players ever. Crazy what he can do at his age, still playing like a beast
@Noouhh 1 no.
Dear friend, believe in Jesus. Know that God exists. Know that He loves His creation. If you follow the Bible you will know that most all of the 1,800 prophecies has come to pass. Once the final few happen Jesus Christ will return. Jesus say, "But when the Son of man comes, will there be any faith on earth?" Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life.
@Ggg fair
He’s the best at this point.
@Jae K he choked in this game. He broke the record in the 3rd quarter. He only scored 2 points after that and they lost 133-130 which means that he, along with everyone else, didn't play much defense either.
He did make a lot of amazing history😀
Akron, Ohio is proud of LeBron. You go guy.
Kareem rocking the awkward poker face makes the moment even more golden
Celtics fan here. Ive nothing but respect for lebron. Used to hate him for rivaling my celtics but.. when kobe left us. I learnt to never take things for granted. Hope to see lebron for at least another 5 years in the league. King james !
@wanna hear a joke? being westbrick fan take your meds
@carlitos ortiz i still like 80s basketball. One hand low iq dribble. 3 arm spacing for a jumpshot but they still cant make a jumpshot with thr ugly form. Throw punches when they cannot guard someone LOLOL
@carlitos ortiz a quick google search will that you 2004 roster players was the worse. Wade lebron melo was all rookie. Marbury didnt last in the nba and ran to china. 2012 was the dream team 2. Prime lebron kobe howard cp3 and kevin durant They melted your ymca teams.
@Kenneth Page no matter what your point is, you can't discount his greatness. Lebron played 18 years in the NBA and Kareem played 21. Stop hating...
This is a truly historic moment in basketball
Absolute legend. It’s been a honor watching him
We lived in the era of MJ, Kobe and LeBron… Frickin Frackin Legendary what we have been able to witness during our lifetime!
Was not a step back against “very good Defense”. Niqqa let ‘em shoot it.
And covid... don't forget covid
I'm proud to be a LAKERS fan. I'm so proud that the top 4 scoring leaders and 7 out of the 10 scoring leaders in NBA history wore LAKERS uniform. Just wish we won this game though. Guess can't have it all. Congratulations Mr Lebron James!!!!
God damn man...Kobe should've been here to see his brother make history :(
Incredible moment for basketball world 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hello bro vlog channel
I just witnessed greatness…🤴🏾
Can’t believe I am alive to see this. Happy and thankful to lebron for being able to see this which I am sure is going to stand for a very very long time as we don’t have 17/18 year olds coming to the league right out of high school anymore and players playing as long as lebron is at the level he is playing
LEBRON JAMES HAS NOW SCORED THE MOST POINTS IN NBA HISTORY 💯💯
WELL LADIES AND GENTLEMAN THIS RECORD WILL LAST A FEW LIFE TIMES AND GENERATIONS....GOAT TALK!!
He won his 1st Championship vs OKC and breaks the all time scoring record vs them as well 👑
@star trek star wars you better not let him hear you say that he'll report another fake hate crime
@jd wilmoth i love it i need a good laugh he can only play with the best that's James by the way and stead of playing against the best
@jd wilmoth that's LeBron for him he sits out and loses games we need to play in helping team win but it doesn't because he's the best at losing that's the only good he is
I think Anthony Davis thinks the same way as you and I do I seen his reaction after LeBron broke the scoring title he's like me he didn't give a damn about Lebron in his scoring title because that scoring title doesn't benefit the team and anyway I'm sure the team would have rather have that win over the thunder instead of that loss
I wonder if they are going to make him a ring like they did for Kareem when he broke the record.
He did it in an era of no defense
man i cant help but say that kareem looks so sad that he lost his record
Even the legend Kareem stand up. Respect king James
Congrats to ya LeBron, well done
One of the best players ever.
We are truly are witnessing greatness
What an achievement. Take a bow king james
39 years to break the record. GENERATIONAL.
A kid from Akron grew up, became a King, had some glorious time away in Miami, brought his home state it’s first ever championship, and is still playing unbelievable averaging 30ppg in his 20th year. And now, is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Truly the greatest player of an era, maybe of all time. 👑🐐
King of what tho?
@AQUA VIII obviously they gotta spoil it. Lebron is still lebron even after that
Damn I wish the Lakers would've won
@Charlie Griffin mj still the goat
He's definitely number 2 I got him at 1
Congrats to the King!
I am happy 20-30 years from now I can tell my grandkids how I watched this dudes whole career from year 1 till now!!! What an accomplishment
Greatness at the highest level
Very humble man.
I don’t think people recognize how insane this is AMAZING 🙏🏽✈️
The self-proclaimed GOAT.
Dedication, hard work and perseverance. This man spends over a million each year on maintaining both his body and mind. Not all athletes are like that.
Indipop sebille that's illegal in other sports the NBA has abandoned yet that's why he still playing that's a fact
I know it’s a blessing to be able to watch it get broken 💪🏾
imagine if kareem jumped down, shot a 3 and was like “no u”
Watched him play since 2008. It is truly amazing moment for basketball fans. Congrats King James!
@CTTT T i wasnt into basetkball as much back in 2003. i knew his name but wasnt into basketball that much
he's been in the league since 2003. Where were you in 2003 cause he played then too.
What a moment for lebron congratulations
Was expecting him to score a Kareem’s signature hook move
Congrats to the legend
It's amazing to see LeBron James break the all-time scoring record. He's been an incredible player for so many years, and this record just cements his place as one of the greatest of all time.
Congratulations to this living legend, his hard work and tenacity has paid off. Blessing LJ 🤝🙌🙏
Take a bow 🙇♂️ GOAT!
The undeniable greatest of all time, what a pleasure to witness the icon of NBA🐐👑💪
lebron is great but MJ all day
“Undeniable goat” Mj still the goat lad but good job to Lebron anyways
Congradulations to him and his 3 best friends. Me,myself and I
That's what he thinks about himself that's why he'll never be the goat he called himself the goat m.j. never called himself that the fans MJ has more respect that James
Kareem is a true gentleman!
🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Congratulations LBJ
Lebron is 38 years old, had 38 points in this game, and passing Kareem with a total of 38,388 all time career points, it's all raining 38's! LeGoat 👑
Never mind the fact he went from high school immediately into the pros adding 4 years bypassing college.
The ceremony lowkey killed the Lakers focus and momentum heading into the 4th in a comeback effort
The NBA doesn’t seem real anymore ..
Congrats Bron! He's gonna go for 40 000.
Well nobody is beating the record now 🎉
Well now he's definitely the goat on he's own league and that's a fact!💯👍
That was a great shot to set the record too.
GOAT!!! LBJ! 👑👑👑
The last time I heard MVP shouts that loud in LA was Kobe's last game
On a step back from "very good defense" 😂😂😂
This moment will be remembered forever
He travels twice on that possession 😂😂
My father told me about Kareem, I will tell my kids about Lebron 👑 What a moment in history 💯♥️
@IndianaBones That's absolutely brilliant! You got a lot to talk about! Were you able to watch MJ as well?
I've gotten to watch them both, plus Kobe/Shaq. Magic/Kareem/Worthy was my teen era. Wish I could have seen Kareem and Wilt in their prime, but my dad did, and he said they were amazing. It's hard to compare players from such distant eras, but they were all playing for the Lakers, so it's all good.
Good for him to do it in a league that isn't as physical as when Kareem played in. Would of loved to see how well LeBron would of done back then. And how well guys like Kareem, Bill Russel, Bird, Jordan, Magic, would do in today's NBA.
That was very gangsta and respected gesture by NBA to honour him mid game .. If this happened in NFL Skip would loose his mind
When Lebron drafted, I played NBA Live 2003 a lot where his overall is 69. I was a Carmelo guy during that time. Now its 2023 I'm 31, old af. Congrats goat james!
Great shot too to really show how dangerous LeBrons step back is. 🔥
@Shane just a fadeaway really
Fadeaway step back*
Yeah he really worked on that fadeaway and now he's very good at it
Happy for you LeBron on the breaking the scoring record. Blessings to you and your family. I pray you get a chance to play with your son on the same team.
Irraggiungibile e immenso.
Greatest of all time.
Welp. Considering he'll never see another championship again. Glad to see him accomplish this in his career and in history.
I’m glad there was a Bryant right with him after that shot RIP Kobe
The best silver medalist in the history
