Living with a 3 ton US pick-up in the UK!

čas přidán 31. 03. 2023
Mat’s once again got his hands on the HUGE Hennessey Mammoth, and he’s about to find out what it’s like to live with when undertaking everyday tasks in the UK!

You see, driving one of these in America probably isn’t an issue, given their huge highways. But here in the UK, roads are much smaller! So will Mat be able to cope?

Well, it’s time to find out! He’ll start off driving it through small streets in a countryside village, after which he’ll be visiting a retail park to try out a few different tasks.

The question is, will he end up damaging the Mammoth? And more importantly, how many people do you think he’ll annoy in this gas-guzzling behemoth?! You’ll need to keep watching to find out!

  • First?

    • Cool thanks for your email is transmitted inappropriately or incompletely and any attachments

    • Saswat Dev I'm American and I noticed it, sooooo? 🤣🤣🤣

    • 200 sorry's later

    • Absolutely hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣 I guess we really do take it for granted how much room we have on our roads here in the U.S., and yet we still have more idiots on them, than I care to mention! Five and a half years of being an Executive Chauffeur in Los Angeles has left me extremely scathed about the traffic and rude drivers. 🤣🤣🤣

    • Top Gear / Top Wow / Car Gear same program 🤣🤣🤣👏

  • Matt saying they are annoyed but still decides to come to the camera to show the receipt 😂😂

    • @NotSoMatrix Because he backed in, in front of them, instead of driving into it normally.

    • @PJ Philosopher but like, they got mad well before that

    • @NotSoMatrix He back in, cut in front of the first car, blocked it in, and made the white van driver wait longer as the first car was now blocked. Then he messed around talking to his camera instead of getting on with filling up - and he filled up twice. The people behind had every right to be mad and he had no right to blame them. He's not a tik tokker, he should act like an adult.

    • I’d of took even longer 😂

  • He definitely made it harder than it needed to be

    • That’s what all English ppl do 😂

    • I was thinking the same lol

    • @SamSilverSmile D1 glazing

    • "He definitely made it harder than it needed to be" I hope so. If your car is that big and you are that medium at best and you still have that much trouble climbing around inside the vehicle it's probably a pretty bad design. Maybe they could have made better use of the bottom meter/yard of height.

    • 100% 🤣 clearly can’t even drive in the first place

  • Now imagine driving a ford superduty, crewcab with a longbox in Britain! What an fun experience that would be!

    • Someone did that in Germany.... took it on the autobahn 😁

    • Imagine Ford Damon Challenger Camper then hahaah

    • We do have articulated wagons here like

    • @Alaura M. youtube can show you there are dually sierras just like mine in UK and they are fine. Remember they have lorries the same width and longer than those driving everyday over there

    • @Alaura M. That’s why you get an F450, it has a wider and stronger front axle partly designed to reduce turning radius. I’ve worked with them most of my life, and the turning radius of an F450 is generally better than even an F150 or even some cars, it is stupidly impressive!

  • Love it how you made that look way harder than what it actually was

    • I think he's a overrated presenter but now I know he is an overrated driver as well.

    • @Empty Insidenot everyone is used to driving big vehicles

    • I was annoyed listening to that man beep and the van behind him who could clearly reverse lmao

    • He sure as hell doesn't drive a truck daily.

    • Best part was he needed a spotter..... funny video but extremely dramatic.

  • I'm intrigued by a world where a 1500 sized pickup is considered large. Dwarves, elves, and leprechauns must be real

    • 1500 is the entry level RAM. Meaning that anything above that won't fit on British roads.

    • @Daylon Michael i mean to be fair half of the us is huge tarmac slabs so...

    • @Jiggaroozay i mean driving truck that you cant see people right infront of you with.

    • It is huge compared to a normal sized car in Europe.

  • The fact that these types of trucks are just regular cars for the most part here in the states is crazy to me after seeing them in videos around the world.

    • Many roads in the UK predate cars meanwhile we had the luxury of planning roads for cars. Makes a big difference

    • @ATadBitNefarious i mean, when you live in a city, you dont even need a car at all. You can walk where you want to

    • **cough* *cough** cadillac escalade

    • It is absolutely insane how I simultaneously hate trucks because of their massive size and crazy low mpg, but at the same time I love driving it. Just makes you feel much more patriotic

    • Wider roads and longer distances in most of the US. Although driving these trucks in any major city is still a pain lol. Smaller trucks are more popular in the cities, but most people drive compact cars and crossover SUVs in the cities.

  • It’s crazy hot that’s not a huge truck here in the U.S. but it looks absolutely massive in this video

    • @Neill Wylie spot on, this made me laugh harder than it should 😂. Seriously though, 70% of 'Merica's population is overweight, it's a wonder why these vehicles look "normal" from their point of view. Insane overkill IMO 🤷‍♂️

    • @Alex Nolasco I see International box and dumptrucks in New York streets, and those trucks dwarf even F350s

    • @Christian Floresand only in the rear the front is definitely not wider on those HD trucks

    • The comments section be like "Hurr in Murrca dis here truk is 199 cheeseburgers long and the biggest truck is 199 cheeseburgers and a fry long. So dis here truk is tiny"

  • I love how he has a mile gap and says "this is going to be tricky" 🤣

    • Keep in mind, he's in a left hand drive vehicle that's larger than he's use to, his spatial awareness must be way off lol

    • a 1,6 kilometer gap*

    • Been looking for this comment 😂

  • I love the fact the car behind at the petrol station was getting pissed off and you keep doing your monologue into the camera xD

    • @SRN AR8 so you clearly don’t know what an accent is

    • @SRN AR8 that’s not how accent’s work lol. Every language has an accent, whether it be regional or national. Accents are just how words of the same language are pronounced by different people. There’s multiple accents within Britain itself.

    • @Zaid Ballich British accent? English people dont have an accent smh its their language. Only Countries outside England do. Also they were fat = looks like Americans cus that's the stereotype u guys have.

    • The mad guy had more that enough space to get out

  • I want to see a North American dually pickup. That would be honestly hilarious.

    • Hahaha coal rolling fiats and minis everywhere.

    • F-550 Earthroamer LTi Would be great.

  • He dodged all the scratches until picking up that brush😂

    • @TaneMahuta he only used the brush because the truck is wrapped and he knew that before doing the video. The owner of the truck planned to rewrap it a different color anyway

    • And are we not gonna mention the dirty hose casually slapping the shit out of the body as he's sanding it with that brush lol

    • I came to the comments section hoping someone said it. Cringed he was using the brush. Cringed even harder when he used it on the rims then on the body. 😂

    • It's a wrap.

  • This has to be a meme with him going so slow and saying there's no room with like 3 feet on either side🤣

  • I love how dedicated Matt is when he becomes “American”

    • the real American thing to do is pull your gun each time someone honks at you 💀

    • @tsuk ye tru. Funny she was pissed at the person gassing up. She’s at the gas station lmao. Tell the dude behind ya with his van on to back tf up

  • This is no harder than driving a bus, I wanna see Matt driving a bus now

  • As a US viewer, you are officially the nicest pickup truck driver.

  • I am brit living in Qatar, my ram 1500 is cheaper to fill here than my brother's mokka in the UK. The roads, carpark, drive thoughs are purpose built for vehicles like this. Plus you get use to the size and power (borrowing my aunt Honda jazz hybrid in the summer back in the UK was almost a fun change - felt like a go-kart)

  • It always “wows” me how different countries can be. My friend from the Netherlands came to the states to visit for the first time and was talking about how big the vehicles are. Then over FaceTime she showed me the vehicles there and they were so small and compact. I’m so use to seeing huge lifted trucks and gas guzzling SUV’s .

    • Every car I see now are big and massive compared to the small cars that I see around most of the times and I'll let you know more people are thinking of getting big cars due to more space and comfort etc..

    • Most of the villages, town's and cities over here were built during the times of horses and carridges. The roads being built for cars let alone large vehicles was probably an after thought.

    • @Sebastião oliveira power to weight my friend a honda with 250 hp will walk a 5.0 people sleep on them but if your talking about sound yah

    • @Sebastião oliveira thanks but I value gas mileage. I don't do much driving.

    • @r 15 Nice car, pretty reliable, unfortunately they just miss that especial thing that can only be found in big V8's

  • We don’t have to say sorry sorry, because our roads are wider 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the video, I was always curious how people would react to an American truck on the narrow streets of UK 🤣 You’re Awesome!

  • This was a cool takeaway, American trucks in the U.K. A lot of people looked visibly annoyed, I live in Texas where this is considered a half ton truck, we have to share the road with Ton trucks and big ol Dually’s out here.

    • texas 🤢🤢

    • @Jimmy Farley that's literally only ¼ of the US, a large majority of the US is Hill country or has mountains. But go off baby girl.

    • @MrAdoh2010 No. Mammoth is a package from Hennessy performance to make the truck have 1000 wheel horsepower. It just ports the blower, puts a smaller pulley, puts it on e85, and maybe more fuel.

    • @Jimmy Farley these trucks are light and can easily pull more than you realize.

    • Badass Beaver it works tho

  • Tbh most of the times you were completely fine in terms of space ,quite spacious surprisingly. I guess it's just getting your confidence up while druving

    • Left hand drive and larger than what hes used to pretty entertaining tho

    • I agree. Did not even need a spotter. Effing vans use whatever lanes he is driving on and drive-thrus he is using here. The truck is small by comparison. Just plain nonsense. it would cost a shite load to drive this behemoth as a car here with petrol prices 3x or so but size is clearly a non-issue.

    • I was thinking the same thing I drive an international dump truck here in the states and I get within a couple inches of things every day I’ve never hit anything though. Driving something every day you learn your limits like your own body

  • As a Texan that grew up in the UK I can attest to how realistic this video is. For me, going back to the UK and driving a saloon/sedan is a nightmare, I cannot imagine driving a big old tricked out Ram TRX. Some of the country lanes in the UK are terrifying--there is nothing equivalent in the DFW area!

    • Texan 🤢🤢🤢🤢

  • I always wondered what it was like to drive an American truck in the UK it is a really stressful just watching you on the video thank you for showing us how way different it is on the roads out there...... Come on down to United States you can drive fast on the roads over here thank you so much

  • I love how concerned he was thinking he didn't have enough space but still had a good foot or 2 between him and other vehicles. A bit extra on those reactions 😂

    • That's what I thought too. This guy is just not used to driving a bigger vehicle.

    • @Luis Foreal Oh for sure! When I was 18 my pops got me on my first construction job as a laborer supply runs and hauling and dump runs, they threw me in a small dump truck that was a manual. I didn't even know how to drive a stick but damn I was gonna learn that day! Scary shit but after a a week or so I got used to it and could drive a stick on anything after that!

    • When I first started driving a half ton truck, I also thought I was getting way too close to hitting things. It's just some things you get used to.

  • Matt this was a brilliant video! Kept me occupied and I absolutely loved it! Please do more like this it’s hilarious. 😂

  • Take this to Japan, and see their reactions. I think that would be amazing to see

    • @gpage bro send me the link

    • there's a video of an F650 in Japan... boy that's big

    • 5:37 ''That is an American dream" So funny he ,that's come from a Nation who lost the war against some reservations and those reservations save them from Germans back in a time and This Nations getting orders from our favorite reservation who represent world's only dream life ,Such an parody lol

    • @ollie dunford cope lmao

    • REPENT FROM YOUR SINS AND FOLLOW THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO BE SAVED OR BE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ETERNITY REPENT!

  • The fact they allow you to get gas without paying first is beyond me😂

    • Used to be like that all over Europe, and especially here in Scandinavia, until many immigrants/foreigners (basically Arabs, Turks and Africans although you're not allowed to say it) came here. Many of the aforementioned people would not pay for their gas, so now they've started making it mandatory to give your credit card before you can fill your car up. In the past we'd fill it up and then go into the gas station and pay. Can't do that anymore since many of the foreigners here have a hard time following the laws of our countries.

    • Number plate recognition means the cops will have you. That's why the UK plate letters are huge. We do have to pay as you go in pubs though! Would totally forgot to pay if we had to settle a tab at the end.

    • @Mode they give you a note with the amount to pay and a deadline. If you dont pay within the deadline they will probably hire an Inkasso company

    • @W.A.R.R. Yes, like you know...the rest of the world.

  • Never use the car wash brush on the paint. People (including yourself) use them for the wheels and it gets a lot of gunk that will scratch paint

    • If you’re going to use the wash brush make sure you spray it down first to get rid of the gunk

    • Cringed super hard when he started using it

    • I literally cringed

  • It was enjoyable to watch Matt squeeze around the Trx to get to the windows to get his sandwich.

  • As someone who drives a truck everyday, I feel that this wouldn't be so bad.

  • props to that van at the gas station for not backing up

  • I love how this still has the Texas license plate on in the UK.

    • @FastCarsNoRules220 It should have a USA sticker on it though

    • @Cayenne Pacific the car is registered you can still drive it but its registered in the US dont matter where as long as a car is registered its allowed to drive if i drive from switzerland to the uk i can drive with the swiss number plate innit?

    • @Luke Vanderberg Probably refugees witgh enough resources to ship their card to the us, it was probably cheaper than to buy a new one in the US.

    • @Luke Vanderberg There are still ships that take people across, people that are scared of planes cross the Atlantic on boat. I'm assuming there's services that let you take a car

    • He must have a U.S drivers license to drive on U.S plates in the U.K if im correct. This is the case in most countries

  • I like how Matt never used any other passenger door other than the driver side so it was funny to see his breakfast getting dropped and the only plant being rolled around multiple times at once 😂🤣

  • Having driven in Ireland when I visited grandparents, there's no way the average American vehicles get by without being side scraped. The total road width where my grandparents live are like one of our lanes. You had to pull off a bit to get by. This was country lanes in cootehill btw not that it's that way all over just my experience.

  • We visited the UK end of Sept early Oct this year and rented a micro SUV, drove from Healthrow to Gaydon to the British Motor Museum, then to Chipping Norton, then to Bath, Lyme Regis, Stonehenge and back to London over 4 days. In two weeks we were in England, we saw three pickup trucks, all at the same cars and coffee event in Northam.

    • Our pickup trucks tend do be the kind that have a side sliding door and a roof, ones without a roof are somewhat less popular for some strange reason

  • The first I saw one of this kind of lorry in Scotland. I felt that its the car for me. Massive, loves eating and caring just like me, but struggled on offroad because of her weight. So the Hilux helped her.

  • Matt’s ability to not give a shit what the people behind thought was absolutely fantastic. I wish I had that in my locker

  • The pain when Matt uses the brush at the car wash

    • @Hades he's taking grit from all the other cars that have used it and rubbing into his paint 😂

    • He’s cringe lol

    • Lets not forget its a truck not a supercar

    • It was awful. He didn't take video serious. He was trying so hard to be difficult.

    • @Genric_Sloth I've never worried about paint. I got a bike, never owned a car. The brush and the high pressure hose knocks and peels off decals. It's all plastic. Well for me it's carbon fiber on some panels now. Doesn't cost much, pros of owning a bike. Vids on my channel of an RC8R for those who like bikes. Anyhow, I should worry about the paint more, kind of a rare bike and the panels cost alot. The OEM ABS plastic stuff is actually not that much cheaper than carbon fiber just cause the bike is rare and OEM parts are scarce. I think the best way to wash anything you really care about is by hand and mind. Pay attention always, nothing beats that.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this segment. Hilarious and problematic at the same time.

  • we get them shipped over from the states to Aus, and then they convert them to correct hand drive. We love ours and once you have the coonfidence and spatial awareness you can easily navigate around town, and yes you just have to be aware. You would be able to park in Tesco, but along away away, and yet you still get the muppet who parkes next to you....If we ever come back would consider shipping it with us. 🙂

    • @Don Coleman and in the Northern Territory where they are not just a Chelsea tractor...

    • I've just come back from the local shops and saw three. They're very popular in SE Qld.

  • Damn, I didn't realize the roads in the UK were so little. I thought the roads over here were small 🙄

  • Matt didn’t care about the people he was blocking 😂

  • Once I saw the Texas license plate I just laughed a little too loud. EVERYONE know's everything is bigger in Texas 🤣🤣

    • @SRN AR8 As an Aussie we often drive 500-800km a day in our motorhome. Hoping one day to do a motorhome trip around the UK but if we travel the same distance there as we do here, we'll leave London in the morning we'd be in Edinburgh in time for dinner! Welcome to GB blink, and you'll miss it.🤣

    • the wole UK is 2.5x smaller than Texas, England is way smaller then.

    • @American catholic European countries are ridiculously small. Great Britain is smaller than the state of Victoria, and once I drove through Liechtenstein. Took me 25 minutes from the Austrian border to the Swiss border bridge near Triessen. And that was with moderate traffic!

    • @Don Coleman it’s usually directed to people who live in small European countries and Americans living in smaller states.

    • Except if you're Australian where we have states 2.5 times bigger than tiny Texas.😁Canadians probably say the same when comparing Texas with their provinces.

  • As someone who lives in the u.s i have to say iv never seen anyone drive a pick up truck so carefully 😆 🤣

    • @Ben Lorentz yet never on dirt 🤣

    • Riiight?! 3 point turn? That means gas it and just get loose until you're pointed in generally the correct direction 🤣

    • All the ones I see drive like they are in a trophy truck race 100+Mph weaving in and out of traffic.

  • My uncle has a Ram 3500 dually with a Cummins. Based on the size of his truck, it would take up every square inch of y'all residential roads. Also, the mammoth is a big truck, but it ain't the biggest I've seen here in the states. Some folks, especially in the south, have trucks with lift kits that could easily be classified as monster trucks.

  • As an American that drives large trucks, I must say he had alot of room to maneuver through what he thought were tight situations lol

  • "Thank God for the sensors" Yes the sensor that was telling you that you were close to something when you already knew that are definitely necessary and definitely not infuriatingly pointless. I love it when my 94 F250 beeps like a Landmine when literally anything happens. Couldn't survive without it.

  • This is absolutely awesome and I’m getting a kick out of Texas plates as well 😂 your a bad ass Brit Matt. Hello from SC, USA .

  • My door handle broke and I had to wait for the part. I know how awkward it is to be climbing across seats. You have my sympathy for that.

  • Mat never fails to entertain us

    • @Khurram Chaudhry okokok

    • He failed this time. It was just a video of him being totally incompetent and foolish - he's not even good at that

    • Easy pleased 😁

    • @Hammad Kashif idek that and am from 2004

  • Reminds me of driving my '97 Dodge Dually around Seattle. Tried dropping it off with valet parking at a hotel, and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. Said nope, we can't park that in here. I said I could park it, still no. Spot mirrors became my best friend driving in big cities.

  • Cool video😂 Yeah, all towns in USA have extra wide streets, parking lots and drive thrus so it’s even comfortable to drive a big pickup truck there. Not in Europe tho😮

    • @The imaginist God bless America 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

    • I have a lifted and 5 inch wider wheels than stock expedition and even here it's hard enough to find a comfortable drive thru. But we don't care it's fun and useful

  • I was a few up at Tesco when you were filling up, quite a sight to see you trying to get it on the pump 😂 the whole of deddington and Bicester hates these things

  • Matt, the review is so much fun. You really did box those poor helpless people in the middle and enjoyed a lot more at their cost. Lol

  • At an American gas station instead of being pissed they would be talking to you bout your truck and where you got it😂

  • Those people getting annoyed and Mat still shows us the receipts before pulling out😂😂 Edit: Look mom i’m famous

    • You all realise that was staged right?

    • You’re not famous

    • Be like what

    • 5:37 ''That is an American dream" that's come from a Nation who lost a war against some reservations and those reservations save them from Germans back in a time and This Nations getting orders from our favorite reservation who represent world's only dream life ,Such an parody lol

  • This makes me question Matt's driving abilities, you did make it look alot worse than it probably is 😂😂

  • Gotta say it looks like you still have tons of room to use up looks like if you just ordered it in a right hand drive setup it’d be fine some tight spots of course but you get that here in the USA too

  • Now I understand why the full size Landcruiser is not available in the UK

    • They're selling the Dodge RAM faster than they can ship them out here to Australia. The Landcruiser 200 and 300 series, along with the 70 series and the Prado are huge sellers in Australia. The Hilux is our biggest selling vehicle followed by the Ford Ranger and Chev and Ford are looking at bringing their beasts back. Mind you at the exorbitant fuel prices in the UK and their narrow streets, I doubt large vehicles would be as popular.

  • Watching this as an American, it’s pretty interesting to see what is like driving an American car in Britain. That’s impressive.

  • This is the most chaotic video I have seen so far and I bloody love it

  • “It’s not gas it’s a liquid” … me as an American, I’ve never thought about it that way 😅😂😂

    • I call it fuel its easier for everyone to understand lol

    • @Asian sex symbol (natty fitness) the Internet, the computer the inventions are endless, the UK was the first industrial nation.

    • No one likes to be told, I bet everyone complaining about the "gas comment" had to Google it.

    • Same fml

  • You made that as difficult as it could possibly be. You could equally make a video about how easy it is to live with an American pickup.

  • Honestly didn’t realize how wide our roads are always thought they were small really makes you appreciate what ya got

    • @GratefulFrisko wrong

    • @GratefulFrisko agreed

    • The roads in the US and Canada are too wide. Especially the roads in the cities.

  • Most town centre roads are just tarmac versions of dirt tracks once used by horses and carriages. And if you go anywhere outside the SE you better stick to the A-roads as some of the single-track country roads with high banks will take that things sides off :D

  • i love the video. i also love how not used to driving a truck he is XD. We have drive thrus that are just as tight. but thats what a truck was meant for... you just drive on the curbs.

  • Give it a few weeks of daily driving and you'll be confident with your corners, it'll feel a *lot* smaller

  • Those people at the station was just wow, the van couldn't reverse? That whole interaction was insane 🤣

    • lmao People saying ‘staged’ clearly never been to UK where there have been fights over such little things where people have been murdered or put in Intensive Care. Idiots at petrol stations, people ‘stealing’ parking spaces, people being overtaken, using the horn at someone or flashing them on main beams, tailgating, tapping the brake etc etc. Road rage.

    • They had plenty of space to leave if they wanted to

    • Most chill people in the uk

    • Can man is stupid for obviously blocking them in, why would he do that? And then not back up? Obviously creating a problem to make it seem like the truck is the problem, but getting gas isn’t something you need to apologise for, but coming up behind and blocking is a dick move for sure. Nice try van man but your the problem.

    • Staged. Obviously.

  • texas plates in the UK ?? this video was awesome 😂 this truck looks humongous driving it in the UK while here in America looks completely normal

  • This thing is way smaller than a sprinter van. I know because I've owned trucks and currently own a sprinter in the USA. Only difference is the truck is probably a bit wider, but not by much. But a 170' sprinter is probably a meter or more longer.

  • I drive an F-150 raptor in the UK and have no issues with size. It’s even got 37” tires with huge offsets so it’s even wider than standard. Everything just moves out of your way.. I can relate to the drive thru issues though haha!

  • It’s funny seeing him talk about driving it. It’s the same stuff I hear when a buddy of mine gets his first truck.

  • This is worth it to assert dominance. Look at all those other little toy cars

  • He had my laughing out loud when he ACTUALLY left the washing without cleaning the shampoo!

  • "Hopefully this isn't going to be too expensive" lmao 🤣 Great content as always

  • Wonderful episode. There would be more of these!

  • As the proud owner of an F-150 Raptor here in Norway I found this hilarious to watch :P Our streets are not quite as narrow as those in a sleepy English village, but the McDonalds drivethrough is still a pain! And petrol stations... and car parks... had to reverse out of the entrance to an underground parking fascility at 7 am one morning, back into rush hour traffic. That caused more or less the same reaction from other drivers as you got from the poor people stuck behind you at the petrol station 😅👍 Still the best vehicle I've owned by a long shot though.

    • @Viking84 Fett!

    • @Jingle My Berries Blue 😁 There is actually a black one around here too. Even met a RAM TRX the other day!

    • Maybe I have seen you before, is yours blue or black by any chance?

  • Love that you use an RS3 for a camera car! Also, you should do a drag race with the mammoth against the RS3

  • Wow, so much difficulty! Life is so hard. I'll take the truck if it's too hard to drive, thank you 👍

  • The amount of patience people done have is hilarious. He could’ve reversed and asked the van to move in the time he had a paddywhack 😂

    • @SEMIRU Matt reversed to get in front of them.. This is a di*k move imo.

    • @disjt2u Why didn’t the people ask the van to move?? There is no point in waiting for 2 people to finish paying when there is a free spot.

    • @disjt2u oh dear we’re all damed 😂

    • @disjt2u you don't think that was a bit of "cinematic set up" then??

  • While this truck is fairly large for U.K. roads, when I was stationed at Lakenheath there back in 2015 my buddy brought his 05-06 Duramax with a 4in lift sitting on 20x12’s lmao dude would get pulled over frequently because his tires would stick out the fender by 5-6inches! The looks he would get rolling through Cambridge were priceless😂

  • That was hilarious! Good thing Mat is slim, not fat! Good job fishing the breakfast from off the road outside McDonald's.

  • First, I cried watching you use that scrub brush on the paint! 😂 Second, as a Texan, I’d love to bring my F250 Powerstroke over there for a visit and roll some coal through those towns and country side! 💨

  • A nice way to scratch the paint using that brush 👍🏼

  • Why do I get the feeling the locals probably got flashbacks from the old top gear crew driving around in large vehicles like this lol, if I had to guess someone must’ve yelled out Hammond or Clarkson! at some point

  • Hi Matt, as a 'White Van Man' (1:10) driving 60K miles a year, I actually quite often reverse to allow others to pass because plain and simply I'm well practised and better at it than most other motorists.

    • I'm also a van driver. I've been doing it for a year, and I already hate it. Driving isn't fun anymore, it's a chore. Most of the time I'm crawling behind a semi-truck going 80kph without being able to overtake or sitting in a traffic jam for half an hour cause the roads in my country just can't handle the traffic anymore.

    • Is driving your van as hard as thos guy makes it seem? Since your van is wider and longer

    • Anyone has the ability to reverse. We all do it everyday. Quit acting like its a 1 in a million skill

    • @Jimmy Farley True.

    • @Michael Sibley couple in the car at petrol station were my grandparents, someone had fueled Infront and then left where mat the reversed from the exit all the way into the front of them, they were behind for a doctors appointment and the white van refused to move.

  • I think you'd be surprised it's not much better here in the USA haha. 1 Noone can park, 2 everything here is based on a horse buggy. Honestly most of us wouldn't even have a hard time on those tiny roads. It's mostly the other drivers around you that you'll see make a hazard or problem.

  • It's hilarious watching him struggle with a tiny truck.

  • Driving a truck that big is just a normal day here in my small town in the US. Crazy how you don’t see a single big truck in the UK

  • You driving a LHD in a UK drive thru is equivalent to driving a RHD in a U.S drive thru. It always gets people confused and excited 😆

  • That petrol station bit was funny … I dunno how Matt was so chill though

  • As someone who drives a GTI in the United States, I seem to have the opposite problem with all these tanks driving around me😂

    • @GetTheFOutOfMyWay bro my 91 civic is literally a tin can if someone hits me I'm dead

    • @_sonii what’s strange about that?

    • At least you're not in a rolling coffin... I might as well be on a motorcycle. Lol... (Mr2 Spyder)

    • Yeah, but I bet u never pulled up to a parking garage entrance and wondered if you will fit... Went for breakfast in town last weekend, the garage had a 7' bar at the entrance, but about 10 yards in there was another that said 6'8"... The antenna hit a lot of beams, but the roof didn't.

    • @Gorka 16 wait really😱😱

  • They're not annoyed that you have a truck in the UK, they're annoyed that you're IDLING around in a truck, in the UK 😅

  • You can tell they don't drive trucks much out there. After working in the oil field and owning a truck, I'm confident I'd of made all of those passes easily and relaxed at speed limit... There's actually more room than I was expecting... About the same as lease roads on some locations...

    • It was exaggerated for content. I’ve got a raptor in NYC bigger than this TRX and I got used to it quicker than expected. We have much tighter and hectic situations than anything in the video.

  • Awesome show Mate from Canada 🇨🇦, Ram is a big truck but I think your streets are just a wee bit smaller, Nice Truck by the way

  • This was amazing 👏 the petrol station was so funny 🤣

  • Man thats a good size truck i see them all the times here in mexico 🇲🇽 Good content thoe 👏

  • Mat dropping the food 2x and leaning most of his body out the window got me dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @Velocity I just asked their age

    • @Henry Alvares I indeed don't, I was just curious

    • @Henry Alvares you don't understand. Your age is completely obvious because of your comment. You clearly haven't finished high school yet

    • @Anthony however old u think I am u don't need to know my age

    • @NickZ brudda do u not know what sarcasm is I didn't literally mean it.

  • Please do another video featuring a one ton with a crew cab, a long box, and duallys.

  • and this is WHY I LOVE the good old USA. BIG - WIDE roads. Love it here.
