I am 64 years old. Former musician and lead singer. I love all genres of music, but my roots are in rock ‘n’ roll. When I hear this band, I have the same feeling I had the first time I heard bat out of hell in 1976 on the radio. Or I’m still alive by Pearl Jam. These guys are going to be iconic. I can guarantee it.

@Mike Fleming again their music is very fit for radio and their style give them a lot of attention. Is that a bad thing? No, good for them. Comparing them to Pearl Jam and meat loaf on the other hand is pushing it too far. This is a decent commercial pop rock band period. For exemple not the same style but way more intricate and better are the Artic Monkeys… now that band is what I call something special.
@Rachidi Rachidi I have commented stating that their songs in Italian are great in any language. It is quite a testament to their talent that they can write songs in English and still be successful, it is not easy there aren’t many people that have been able to do this.
@Mike Fleming i like their Italian songs better but this is not what we are talking about here.Their English ones lack the edge of the Italian ones. Also, they are not the only that they were singing on the streets that made it somehow. Try to listen to Greta van fleet or the jets and you will see that they are a lot of bands out there that are worth it, it’s just that they are less mainstream. Not sure, they will be here for a long time, if they don’t step up their game for the English songs. The esthetics and style and probably attitude is what set them apart, oh yeah and their Italian songs but how many ppl internationally listen to them really, when they are the best part of maneskin.

Today I finally went home and give it a listen on a full blast. And I almost cried because it was worth every day of waiting. This song is INCREDIBLE. And the guitar solo, literal chills 🔥

A lot of people say that you've changed since you came into the american market but I still see the business-suited Maneskin just like the ones in Zitti e Buoni, being wild and free and making interesting music videos, maybe for many it sounded more "underground" when you sang mostly in your native language, but I still can recognize your essence in every song, no matter the language. I noticed you've been polishing your characteristic sound as a band and I can say I'm most proud, I know you will stay true to what you represent and be great voices of this generation, I love you so much♥
I think people say this a lot about bands. That they change or they do not sound the same as they did when they started. What you said is dead on though, that they polished their original sound while becoming more cohesive. That's exactly what great talent does! They become better musicians over time and it shows in the work that they do and the sound that they produce. After all, no artistic person stays in the same talent range when they perform and use their skills all the time. They grow! :)

@Louise Roux Seytre I agree, they're not bad songs but they're all a very similar style. I miss the italian ones that varied greatly, from more hard rock vibes to cheerful dance numbers to ballads, with every bit of the lyrics hitting hard. Coraline for example, is not a song that would be played non stop on the radio because it's not catchy in the same way; and now it seems their songs are more focused on that I suppose.

Bella anche questa, come tutti i loro singoli. Fighissimo, grintoso e variopinto pop-rock di cui avevamo assolutamente bisogno in radio, nelle pubblicità e ovunque capiti. Chi appioppa loro l'etichetta di gruppo rock, evidentemente, lo fa solo per due motivi: 1) abbassarli allo stato di gruppetto derivativo del rock settantiano apposta per sfotterli; 2) ignoranza pura, sia nei confronti della loro musica sia di quella dei gruppi rock storici. I Maneskin col rock ''classico'', PER FORTUNA, non hanno granché a che fare - eccetto un po' di impatto dato dal suono grezzo della chitarra - in quanto la voce è troppo tendente al soul, la base ritmica abbraccia molto la disco-music e il chitarrismo preferisce nettamente inserirsi nell'intreccio ritmico basso/batteria per parlottare col cantante senza volersi sostituire a lui come invece era frequente 50 anni fa. Ma non serve una laurea per arrivarci, basta non essere dei coglioni. O semplicemente basta non essere italiani. Perché siamo veramente una pigna in culo, come popolo. Mai contenti di niente, oh. Sempre da ridire su tutto, anche a costo di non nascondere la nostra deficienza. Devo ringraziare il Mondo per sapersi godere come si deve la musica di questa freschissima band che non smette mai di stupire.

@enricatab Måneskin is good, and the lyrics are good too, but this song isn’t just about rich Americans… stop hating. I grew up in San Diego, California & currently live in NYC, but the US isn’t just LA or NYC. I like Måneskin, but this very stereotypical. If you actually travel the US and met Americans you’ll realize we aren’t self-absorbed narcissists. And you make fun of Americans that believe all Europeans don’t shower, smell bad & can’t afford air-conditioning.
