This visual would've fit "Island" better tho, this song isn't about being happy it's about facing the sad hard truth about someone who you just wanted to be there for you but never was. This song means so much to me. My boyfriend wants to force me into an open relationship, which is strictly against my beliefs. He‘s not even willing thinking about how much his behaviour hurts me, and every time we fight about it, he tries to advertise it to me. And even though he‘s telling me all the time I‘m the perfect one, he doesn‘t stop advertising it to me, since physical stuff doesn‘t mean anything anymore for him because of bad previous experiences - he‘s jaded. 😢
I know your pain all too well. And this song fits exactly what I went through with my bf. Wanted an open relationship so badly, and in the end, everyone left him, yet I still remained until he one day vanished out of my life, and to this day I hear he struggles to make new relationship or keep friends. It's sad how someone's selfishness can ruin their entire life, and all for a little bit of variety? Not worth it.
