  • Hugh has always been the standout for me, he's got my type of humour. I think it shows just how quick-witted he is, that he's often the first one up when there's a new scenario.

  • His facial expressions, delivery and tone of voice are just brilliant. Frankie's stuff is usually a little funnier but Hugh Dennis is the only reason I still tune into MOTW

    • His weapon is irony; Alan Davies is a mime; Rob's impressions are spot on; they all have their comic territories. Quite a phenomenal comic community, very worthy of deep study. What I found out to my amazement, listening to their various accents; is that the Southern 'Drawl" has its roots in the British Isles, not as I had assumed, from African Slave influence, as they kept the children away from the family center until they had table manners, often nursed them even. But "Ah Reckon" is as British as can be; along with a lot of other pronunciations. My South Carolina white mother was always spouting phrases that I now hear on these various comedy shows; all of which I adore.

  • frankie and hugh were a comedy duo made in heaven. gosh i wish they did other stuff together

  • One of my favourite moments in this amazing compilation is 30:56 when you hear Frankie cackling at the joke in the background.

  • i really wish Hugh did standup. he's absolutely excellent

  • That smile he does after every joke just makes it ten times funnier

  • Such an underrated comedian some of his jokes are pure genius

  • He's so insanely quick witted. So underrated

  • 1:47:54 is probably the best delivery on any joke that involves the 'Dara doesn't use his legs' punchline. Fantastic set up and execution.

  • Wow Charlie great footage and thst storm was the worst I have ever seen the walk through the village brought tears to my eyes very moving just goes to show you what people can do to other people wish we could learn from it but we are still having wars 😢😢 thank you for taking us there looking forward to the rest of your trip

  • He is so damn good at delivery and timing, comic genius. I don’t know how this is created but I LOVE IT!!! Thank you! More laughs please❤️🇨🇦

  • It's not wonder he's been on it for so long, he's simply brilliant.

  • That skipping rope joke, just bloody genius. You can hear the laughter filter in slowly as they just start to realize the joke. Well done Mr Dennis.

    • barry wallace Where in the video was that man?

    • Max Scardanelli @1:02:46

    • I don't get the joke.

    • Jason you've been poisoned by the media about Q. That's not true at all

  • 39:21 “but what do I know? I’m only the window cleaner.” Genius. Absolute genius.

    • I read your comment just as he said that line, wtf are the odds???

    • Best one

    • I disagree. He has many more better jokes.

  • His skipping rope joke was brilliant. I love everyone's reaction.

  • I’ve never seen the human mind function so quickly and effectively in real time...hats off to you Sir! I feel like a real big dummy now

    • Lee mack can give him a run for his money. Plus this jokes are scripted

  • You did an amazing job putting all these together. Thank you.

  • Hugh Dennis is head and shoulders above the others, funniest and most intelligent bloke on the telly. He makes even a little 10 second scene like a proper show.. just brilliant. .

    • Chris England hes not just head and shoulders above them because of his height

  • There we go, over two and a half hours of Hugh Dennis goodness, that'll do me for a while. Thanks!

    • This is my 10th Time watching this masterpiece 🤣🤣🤣

    • My. Ok i i nana. O.

    • @Gunnar Eli Sigurjonsson you you have to be honest about yourself I don’t feel good 😌 just don’t be thinking thinking 🧐🧐 about your feelings for about C S V V Vs.

  • Hugh, I'm sorry to tell you for all the effort you put into these jokes... 2:12:35 really is your best joke ever! Everything clicked, tone, posture, and of course, Broom broom... Thanks for the coffee spill!

    • The broom broom out of nowhere at the end is just the perfect amount of childish bullshittery to turn a very good joke into something you cant help but laugh at and the smug glee in his face makes it all the better.

  • That smile he gets on his face after a particularly dark line tops it for me 🤣🤣🤣

    • Same. It's just so gleefully unhinged.

    • @5th_cellar😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

    • 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

    • 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

  • "You see the traffic? It's a nightmare on Elm Street." 😂😂😂😂 Love how quick witted Hugh is

    • He is sharp, but they do get the captions in advance of the show!

  • 39:38 is my absolute favorite Scenes We'd Like to See bit from Hugh; it's also probably the best bit ever done on that part of "Mock the Week" and should be enshrined forever as the pure nugget of perfection it is.

  • Hughs horse racing commentary is just too good.

  • I’m impressed at how he alters his accent to fit the characters he’s doing, sometimes really subtly. Really makes his jokes that much more effective

    • You're right, of course, but he *was* a comedy actor for years, long before he started doing Mock the Week, so it's hardly surprising. In fact, if I remember correctly, he's the only real actor who's ever been on the show. All the rest are stand-up comedians first and foremost; he's the other way around.

    • @Baz Cuda Interesting, I didn't know that. I've seen some of the Punt and Dennis Show and I know he's done a lot of commercial voice-overs but I didn't realize he'd done acting before MTW

    • @Logan Comedy acting, yes. Punt and Dennis, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, Spitting Image (he used to be an impressionist), sitcoms, e.g. My Hero, and Outnumbered, etc. It's quite a varied comedy career he's had, much more so than anyone else on MTW.

    • @Baz Cuda I think his ability to voices comes more from the fact he started out as an impressionist.

    • He is also a voice actor for a few brand adverts

  • Hugh makes this show 😂😂😂😂 I've watched this about 5 times and I still pissed myself laughing 😂😂😂😂 Hugh is the main reason I watch this show

  • Hugh's consistency is amazing. It's wobbly like jelly, but with a firm and solid quality to it.

  • SO many golden ones! Hugh is my favourite by far. "Thereeeee's the bell! Can someone get the door please, I am commentating!" 😂

  • Gotta love Hugh. He's just brilliant.

  • The “raise a glass, TO ZE FÜHRER” gets me every damn time

  • Thanks Matt, all your hard work that I'm thoroughly enjoying !!

  • 61:30 -- I loved the tag team with Milton, although MJ's reaction would indicate it was unplanned. It's nice when comedians compliment each other.

  • You are a legend for doing this. Once Frankie left Hugh is the only reason to watch this show, I appreciate being able to do so without having to put up with the other people!

  • His talent with Scenes... Is so great, can play many/any type of character! Hilarious

  • 2:18:28 always cracks me up 😂

  • Hugh: Mock the Week's long-serving legend.

  • I loved that "blind stab at the weather" line.

    • "The purpose of meteorology is to make Astrology look respectable."

  • I love the violence with which he says some of his jokes, like 30:56, 2:00:12 and 2:31:53

  • The collection of "shot by an American dentist" jokes were brilliant Edmond, Lucy... bad news 🤣

  • After all these years, 3:43 still cracks me up.

  • Hugh is a surprisingly good singer

  • Frankie, Russell, Hugh. The three best people who’ve ever been on the show.

  • Boy oh boy is he underrated. He is just brilliant. How come we don’t see more of him?

    • He’s a lot older now n stuff, it is sad tho he’s definitely a legend of comedy

  • 1:02:46 'Known to friends as the Skipping Rope' literally just finishes everyone 🤣

  • “Worst Things For A New Neighbour To Say:” *”you’re bigger than you look through the telescope”* amazing 😂

  • Him and Frankie Boyle together were a great combo.

    • James F correct and we have the same name hi name twin

    • @Jamie Fox 7

    • @Charlotte Meredith Que?

    • And with just those two and Dara O'Briain you don't really need anyone else to make a really funny show. Same with David, Rob and Lee on Would I Lie to You 😀

    • @Baz Cuda Don't forget Bob Mortimer!!

  • Man you are an O.G. for creating this video; must've taken you aaaaaages. Great work and thanks a lot!

  • What an absolute legend.

  • I love Hugh. He nice to listen to after Frankie as a warm-down lol

    • Who's Frankie? oh, that narrow-minded guy who only tries to come with something strange and controversial no matter what the topic is

    • @Arlimando cope harder

    • Hugh is the perfect moderate on that show.

    • @Arlimando ooopoo ok oooooooooooooooooooo ok o i o pop pool 🥤 go for the first round at night for a few minutes before i come over to my place for me and i for

    • @rachel fawkes Wtf

  • Hugh needs his own radio show

    • He does something called the now show. It's absolutely brilliant. He's one of my favourite comedians. What a legend.

  • Anyone else watching in 2020 and agrees that 2016 was a amazing year? The music, the love, the everything. :(

  • My favourite part are his running jokes. Car Insurance, Showaddywaddy, Injured at work... good stuff

  • You know you're good when you have Frankie in stitches

  • I love how the audience knows when the shi-wadi-wadi jokes are coming and they all wait through it for the laugh.

  • Hugh and Frankie are the bosses of scenes we’d like to see.

  • The true MVP of scenes we'd like to see

  • Truly the workhorse of Mock!

  • when you have other comedians laughing their arse off you know your good.

  • Stalwart of great British comedy one-liners - Hugh has few peers.

  • Thanks Matt! I shall be coming home from work tonight and straight to bed, after the de-Corona Shower, to giggle my way through this.

  • 44:23 is one of my favorites just for his delivery of that tongue twister!

  • 1:01:11 has me everytime! 🤣

  • I swear it feels like he's incredibly underrated even though yeah he's been on it for years and years and there's all these fans here raving about him - unlike any of the other big name regulars he really has a broad range of jokes as opposed to having a set kinda theme (like Frankie, imo, over using jokes related to sex and or just trying to be as offensive as possible) and several very different delivery methods.

  • 51:34 Two of my favourite comedians coming together with some great improv

  • The joke at 1:02:47 is his best in Mock The Week.

  • The only remaining regular, and still perfect since day one. You can totally see he's aged from season 1 though

  • The “swear repeatedly, stab with a pair of scissors” is so true

  • That is some really talented man. I've watched this video 4 times and I've laughed so hard on each one of them, albeit I am not Brutish.

    • Γεώργιος Βαρβούτης it’s nice to hear you’re not brutish, even better if you’re not British 😂

  • He’s hilarious I love his voiceover bits too

  • 6:09 - 6:20 - Car insurance 6:22 - 6:32 - Showaddywaddy 8:07 - 8:18 - Showaddywaddy 8:42 - 8:49 - Car insurance 9:07 - 9:13 - Showaddywaddy 14:32 - 14:42 - Showaddywaddy 15:46 - 15:52 - Car insurance 19:02 - 19:13 - Showaddywaddy 22:22 - 22:32 - Showaddywaddy 22:32 - 22:39 - Car insurance 25:59 - 26:07 - Showaddywaddy 35:04 - 35:14 - Car insurance 35:58 - 36:06 - Car insurance 39:02 - 39:16 - Showaddywaddy

  • excuse me while i compile a list of my favourite ones. 13:36-14:00 - bond film 15:34 - i’ve just eaten a swan 21:58 - cure for depression 23:03 - restraining order 23:48 - get down with the groove 24:53 - worst person to be married to 25:07 - pavoratti 26:10 - want to earn pounds? 26:33 - problems with short term memory 26:52 - mice on a tube 29:37 - medical exam 31:11 - dr. sheep 31:36 - 31:58 - agony aunt 32:32 - we’ve lost your bags 33:37 - i’m telling them mother! 34:55 - why are we speaking english?? 35:50 - why did he chew her? 37:14 - c3po 38:55 - travel doc 39:21 - window cleaner 39:50 - profile of a killer 41:05 - 41:22 - survival show 41:37 - packet instruction 42:29 - flatmate 43:52 - 44:18 - thriller lines 44:40 - my bride always wears white 45:01 - you think you’re a potato? 45:36 - head of the agricultural division

  • 1:52:49 " I have your wife, and unless you give me 15 million Dollars, I'll give her back to you"! That one killed me HAHAHA!

    • A Trump joke if ever I've heard one.

  • You can tell he’s good because everyone goes silent when he’s about to speak

  • Hugh Dennis is the most underrated comedian in the UK... he deserves honours of every kind...

    • Francelee Paris I don’t know your age or how much of Hughs material you’ve seen... Hugh has been on the scene for over thirty years. If you’d like to laugh yourself silly I recommend “The Mary Whitehouse Experience” (you tube: world of wine and world of whiskey to start ;))

    • OscillationLoop ... will check it out... first saw him on Mock the Week where he was probably the best , then watched every episode of Outnumbered... brilliant piece of British comedy and every line a master piece... when I see his name, I know it’s gonna be good... this guy is one of the genius of comedy.. but unfortunately only Brits understand the humour..

    • Queenie QC ... yep, his impersonation of that evil toe rag was just the best.. but I guess he must regret it now. I like his dinosaur impression.. his dead pan look must be so hard to do... I laugh just thinking about it...however, never really liked Jasper Carrot... have to re- evaluate him

    • Queenie QC ... British comedy is the best in the world.. you can trace the evolution from the early days of Mike Alan, the Goodies and the like through Monty Python, Faulty Towers, Black Adder, Only Fools and Horses, Morecambe & Wise, The Two Ronnies, Dads Army, The Young Ones to the present The Office & Ricky Gervais... Ricky has become a shining example of sarcasm, critical analysis and put down of the people who live in Hollywood ivory towers.. and he never seems to offend anyone... that is a true master playing on the world stage... if only we could bottle this magic and sell it.. but there is a distinct line that separates the Brits from the rest of the world.. and that line defines how well you know British history and the English language..

  • "I eat corgies". This man has a great sense of humor.😄😁😆🤣

  • I have a feeling Hugh knew deep down just how much of a creeper Jimmy Savile was...

  • Hugh is a LEGEND

  • Hugh's pauses are priceless

  • I always love the "Oh after you" "No, no I couldn't possibly, you!" Dance

  • Lines you wouldn’t hear in a horror movie. I’m Lucifer and I’ll be singing Complicated by Avril Lavigne. Cracked me up. Love Hugh Dennis. Are you paying too much for your car insurance? His Jimmy Savile jokes are hilarious. Showaddywaddy.

  • This makes me want to see Frankie Boyle, who's working with the BBC now, to come back as a permanent panelist whenever he doesn't have other obligations.

  • He's by far the best.

  • God he's so funny but he also sounds exactly like my dad so I never know if I should laugh or feel creeped out😂

  • "Welcome to the national insincerity awards, and can I say what pleasure it is." 😭😂😭😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • 2:03:31 - This is the moment where we swap from NoBeard Hugh to Beard Hugh. I know you were tremendously desperate to know this.

  • I’ve had “hello, I’m Dara O’briain, I’d like to talk to you about mock the week” stuck in my head for days, so glad it was on this video 😂😂

  • The window cleaner one is hilarious 😂

  • Luv the way he walks away with such swagger 😆

  • Hugh and Frankie are the best of Mock The Week! The chemistry is so fucking hilarious!

  • job well done bringing this together 2 and a half hours of pure joy ty😁😁😁😁😁

  • watching Hugh Dennis jokes back to back for 2 hours has been the highlight of my day, he's fuckin hilarious.

  • Remember Steve Punt helps write most of Hugh’s jokes. Geniuses

  • The window cleaner joke is too good

  • His Showaddywaddy jokes crack me up everytime XD

    • Especially the second time he does it and you can hear someone wheezing with laughter before he even completes it lol

  • ‘ I would like you to call me .... president sha Waddy waddy ‘ I love it 🤣🤣

  • I loved it when hugh did the voice overs on mock the week

  • Hugh is the best at this game 👍👍👍

  • This makes you realise how many voiceovers in adverts Hugh Dennis does.

  • Amazing editing thank you for making this!
