They know they can't hurt you with that, so they do it. The lion doesn't understand that there is a human in the pride that can be killed a bit more easily than the rest of the lions. They see the guy as one of them. A weird fucked up version of a lion if you will. This isn't what an aggressive lion looks like, this is her teasing and playing, so yeah... she is being gentle.
