Since you’re a professional musician, can you help me solve something? I tried playing along with this in the original key, and obviously it didn’t work. So I went up a half step, still didn’t work. Finally I went down a half step from the original key, and it still didn’t sound right. Took me 15 minutes to realize that they are out of tune. Do you know why this might be?

Technically 2 voices. Haha. Two peoples voices, but multiple voices. It's not actually live, obviously. They're just lip syncing to produced studio vocals, and you can hear layered tracks at times. For example at 4:06 it's like there's more than 2 guys singing. Probably the easiest example to hear is Ed harmonizing in his higher head voice, and at the same time you hear him say "go" in his lower talking register as if there's clones of Ed singing at the same time. Hence, it's technically 2 people singing but not only 2 individual vocals.
