Pastry Chefs Attempt to Make Gourmet Andes Mints | Gourmet Makes | Bon Appétit

čas přidán 1. 04. 2020
Brad Leone and Chris Morocco are back for another episode of Gourmet Makes. This time, these two guys who have always hosted and always will host Gourmet Makes are attempting to make a gourmet version of Andes Crème De Menthe, America's favorite after dinner mint. Strangely, one of our editors had the idea that Claire Saffitz had always been the host of Gourmet Makes though they couldn't point to a single episode that Claire had hosted. We're all very worried about the editor, because as we all know, Chris and Brad ARE Gourmet Makes.

Pastry Chefs Attempt to Make Gourmet Andes Mints | Gourmet Makes | Bon Appétit

  • I still maintain that Brad is not a professional chef. He's a wannabe comedian.

  • Rewatching this after to try and find the moment the mint was left in the apron

  • I DESPERATELY want to see a road trip movie made with Brad and Chris. Their energy is just phenomenal.

  • God dam Claire is alphaing all over these two

  • I love how tempering chocolate seems to be a patience thing, and Brad has zero patience with chocolate

  • brad: epic cris: massively *epiK*

  • But what did Claire sayyyy

  • These sound like after eights

  • Sad thing is I love these things so much 😂😂😂

  • Brad please let chris speak sometimes I would be so mad if it were me

  • This video made way more sense when I saw the post date

  • All praise to sohla

  • this is like watching jenna and julien in the kitchen

  • This is really feel fresh tho. I mean when Claire and Brad exchange position, they sort of making 'newer' version of the program.

  • I love how Sohla always helps. 😁

  • Brad: pronounces ingredients wrong* Chris: corrects him* Brad: yeah that’s what I said 💀💀😂

  • 8:30 - how good is Brad’s catch?

  • brad reminds me of julien solomita

  • I don’t know if it’s just me but, I can smell and taste them almost every time I see them.

  • I love Claire but I don't think I've ever emotionally related to her more than in this episode. I love Chris and Brad... But I was side eyeing those mints too 👀 ☕

  • Brad and Chris are the kids that said yes when the teacher said “why don’t you try to teach the class”

  • The contrast between chris and brads face when they tried to hear the pop of the mint looks so hilarious

  • They make a very entertaining pair. Great to watch their friendship!

  • Omg, all of this episode, i thought they were saying "Andy's mint", refering to test kitchen Andy... smh 🙄🙄

  • chriiis :(

  • 26:08 moment of victory

  • “Oh because we have to?” 🤣😂💀

  • can we talk about the video description though? i laughed so hard

  • 22:01

  • 24:32 me when I try and socialize with people in a nutshell

  • "Chris I'm scared" and then I watched them trade eye contact and rewatched that twenty second clip a million times

  • "This is gonna be like boop, like f*cking Willy Wonka" -Brad, 2020.

  • Ummmmmm who's this Claire person they're talking about?

  • How the heck is it so impossibly difficult to temper chocolate? They do it every single day on here!

  • Claire was childishly envious in this episode... Hitting 4.8g, such attention to detail, it’s something to appreciate and she just gives them looks and attitude...

  • how can this be a cooking show, comedy, and like dramatic reality tv show at once lmao THIS EPISODE is the content i need. and the Brad and Chris combo is just, *chefs kiss* their personalities are hilarious together they're so opposite

  • So you had Brad.. the most all over the place, most fly by the seat of his pants, mr “that’s close enough” guy, with Chris... I thought Chris was going kill him! 😂😂

  • Separateable 😂

  • Claire coming in with that troublemaker look! Brad brings out the best in Chris and vice versa, such a fun watch!

  • Honestly this was so funny, brad and chris need to do more stuff together like this lol.

  • Almost everyone hating on Andes mints for 30 minutes straight

  • “i love it when chris laughs” same brad same

  • i love that it took two ppl to do claire’s job LMAO

  • i have not seen anyone comment on the way brad says chocolate (“chaw-c-lit” anskalajdksk)

  • Claire is so unimpressed it's hilarious XD

  • I love Brad, he is radical

  • Isn't after eight basically the gourmet version of these

  • Claire now needs to make these, to compare the different levels of meltdown...chocolate and person lol

  • I love Chris and Brad's energy together - 50% dad vibes and 50% brothers. I think they were having fun with the Gourmet Makes traditional script and allowing themselves to get a worked up as Claire does. I would love to see a collab between them for one of their shows. Brad reverse engineering something Chris chose could be very interesting/fun to watch.

  • Chris’ pep talk Brad at 4:27 will be my anthem to myself 2020

  • I LOVE andes mints and I am hurt!

  • Gourmet Makes is a Greek Tragedy series. Almost every episode starts out with hubris. This one was the most satisfying though.

  • "old people"

  • "they make me think of.." "OLD PEOPLE" Brad stop dragging Andes mints

  • I love how they're swearing like the whole time

  • Chris looks like the younger brother who wanted to hang out with his older sibling😂@3:50

  • 26:06 the look of chaotic joy oh my god

  • "epiC..." "heh.. massively epiC" I will never get over how funny this is

  • It was Chris.

  • "You're day-4-Claire and meanwhile it's minute-40-Brad!" 🤣🤣 Sorry, I just had to come and edit this: their questioning if what the editor tells them what to do is HILARIOUS!! "Oh, that what you do?... Why?... Because we have to do?... (then sighs and move on)

  • I can’t help but notice that Chris is wearing the dark apron...just like the one that got washed with an Andes Mint in it 🤔

  • *It’s like these two are brothers and they’re trying to recreate their mom’s recipe, although they don’t know anything about cooking* They are just so cool 😭

  • Also, please make more of these collabs. The contrasting energies really make this something special.

  • You guys picked the most difficult way to temper chocolate. Why not just table it?! I know its messy but like... so much less stressful 🙃

  • I’m here to see who left the Andes mint in Claire’s apron 🤣

  • It’s okay Claire, we hear ya 😭😭

  • If Bon Appétit made an apron or shirt with Brad's face on it that said, "that's what I said", I would buy one for all of my foodie friends and me and get another one for my unborn nephew who is due in August.

  • I really want to know what Claire said

  • Brad is like the little brother always “I wanna do it too” while Chris is parenting

  • ... I miss Claire.

  • You memein ppl? They still added peppermint extract to the final recipe when they went over in the video use oils for white chocolate.

  • Alternate Title: "Brad and Chris attempts to temper chocolate, ends up having Sohla do it"

  • Chris was the Andes Mint Apron culprit!

  • These two are sooooo freaking funny!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂

  • This is my favorite combo of people in a video to date

  • Who came back just to see who wore that apron with andy's mint melted into the pocket xD

    • i guess it was chris!

  • Brad:says the word wrong Other people:correct him Brad:whad i say

  • Dan is an off camera instigator.

  • I would've never thought that they would survive in each other's company
