I bought Adam Lz's old Porsche 911 992 GT3 after it was involved in a accident over in the US. Ive been flying back to the UK to get parts which US Porsche are not allowed to sell me. Now i need to solve the overheating and get the car painted, but things are proving harder than first thought as a part from Porsche is holding us back!

  • man, what a journey!

    • Agreed brother, Mat just takes risks, wings it and wins eventually, Mats a great inspiration!👌👊👊👊🦾🦾🦾

    • So cool to have you collaborating with Mat!

    • Tnx man for helping mat ❤️

    • You are such an amazing guy for helping him in every way possible may god bless you everyone with a friend like you You are a gem man Can't wait for the new P1 video though i love that car

    • An absolute mega feat of a journey 👏

  • Mat’s Dad deserves a surprise car rebuilt just for him (maybe it has already been done, not sure). The unconditional support and encouragement to pursue Mat’s dreams is priceless!!!

    • Matt has hands down one of the coolest and best fathers hands down 🙌💯

    • Yes, if his dad likes an old English, Italian or whatever car, they should rebuild it together. Even if it is a old track car, I would definitely watch it.

    • yea my dad would never do anything like this with me.

    • 100%!!

    • Some of my best times have been working on cars with my dad!

  • Having your dad be apart of this journey and being so integral in solving so many of the car's issue has been amazing to witness. Keep Going.

    • its a part

  • Important thing, please loose/tighten the center lock only with the wheels in the air! -Porsche mechanic here :)

    • Why is this? Just wondering?

    • @Craig Rigby has to do with the conical shape of the wheel nut. If there is any load on the wheel when tightening it wont be perfectly aligned. Most just use a clamp to apply pressure to the brake pedal which solves the wheel moving concern. The Center Lock needs special alloy grease only in certain areas when re-installing and even more importantly when removing or putting on you have to make sure the center lock pin moves freely. There is a new design on the 922 where it is all one piece vs the 991 which I think solves this now and moves freely without a tool that was necessary before. It's a race car, nothing is simple LOL.

    • @Golf Simulator Videos thats exactly right. The 992 center locks don‘t have the issue with the securing pin anymore, but the nut always pops off which is annoying af…

    • @DerJaxxer haha! I have heard that. I’m a 991.1 so I deal with that style and honestly let my dealer do it if I can! :)

    • I'm sure he already knows this, as you can see, he was loosening them in the air. (Look at them turning as they are barely touching the ground.)

  • I would have gone for natural silver alloys...look classy. Love the channel and your journey.

    • The gold are not a good look. I totally agree with you.

    • @Gryffen T lucky it's not your car then

    • @BB10 RacingHe literally asked for peoples opinions

    • @Will G Yep and my opinion is that is just doesn't look good lmao :)

    • Should of been a glossy black in my opinion but up to him his car not ours

  • It's amazing seeing the collaboration and friendship grow between Mat and @tavarish. I've followed you both separately and all of a sudden see you both together. Keep up the good work, you guys provide me with soooo much entertainment in such a single life that I have.

  • Love this series and looking forward to the Murcielago. BTW, my 992 Carrera sits at about 208f at idle normally just for reference so it seems about right. As for the door, the switch completes the circuit it seems. Crazy, but Porsche…lol. As for the roll cage, I say keep it purple. Can’t wait to see this finished.

    • and the wheels should be satin white

    • @Iordaniss Googlis Wheels should never be white . . . too hard to keep clean.

    • Mine sits at zero.

  • Such an awesome build 🤛🏻. The roll cage would look good yellow matched with calipers and seatbelts 👌🏻

  • So wholesome watching you do this with your dad, hope we see more of him, he seems great. Incredible build Mat, purple cage was the right choice!

  • What an absolutely amazing journey Mat, unbelievable. Not just having the balls to do it at all but been so far from home and in a foreign country. What is equally unreal is the support from Tavarish and team too. What a community!! Fair play dude. All the best with the rest of the build

    • I totally agree with u on this one, Tav and his team are awesome but I guess it was inevitable with Matts attitude and vibe they would of met sooner or later. In life when u are on the right track you will attract good things. Sane for negatives. So stay bless everyone

  • Please bring this to Adam and show him when it’s all said and done. And amazing work all of you.

  • I love Bronze wheels but I wonder how much they will clash against the yellow calipers. Will have to see in the next video. Love this series!!

  • This dude doesn’t get enough credit for how intelligent he is. Hard enough figuring all this stuff out with the proper training and pedigree..but to do this level of problem solving on multiple engines without any formal training of any sort is mad!!! Kudos

    • Facts

    • I totally agree, Mat is so focused all of the time and having fun doing it too!

    • Yes, absolutely agreed, you need to have a proper reason and drive to be able to problem solve at this level. It's brilliant really.

    • Guy is definitely a humble genius.

    • He's a BMX nuttah. No fear

  • Dude please put your dad on more vids, you’re so unbelievably lucky to have him as a dad, same with your dad being lucky to have you as a son. Would just love to see ya both building cars more!

  • I hope to rebuild a car with my dad someday like Mat and its amazing how far this car has come! I'm not a fan of the new wheel color but it still looks good! Keep the crash bar purple and finish her up!

  • Love the work and stellar progress. I'm not so sure about the wheel colour, but it will definitely be one of a kind.

  • Props on the wheel colour choice. It works. And the roll cage definitely needs to stay purple - just in case you change wheel colour later (to maybe a darker gold). Great work Mat as always. What a journey you've taken us on.

  • Loved this series!!! Hopefully you can show Adam the car!! Plus id keep the roll cage purple the way that he made it...PS...I woulda kept the wheel color the same..

  • Mat your dad is a gem. You should get him on more vids

    • Agree, he must be a proud dad, with some stories to tell ...

    • its so wholesome seeing mat and his dad work on the projects, and both their excitement when they overcome a problem 😂

    • Funniest guy in the series

    • We want Daddy Mat , we want daddy mat. We want more of everything actually. More colabs with Tav I hope I'm the future god damn that will be a banger and more daddy Mat and more Kevin

  • Great work :) When you get a chance, please replace that loom with the correct one though. That's a safety item you don't want to mess with IMO. LOVINGGGGG this serious on this car. Gold and purple looks amazing.

  • So glad you've released part 6 Mat, what a journey this build has been, can't wait to see the end product, I think the wheels and roll cage would look better in black but let's see how the car looks when it's done 😎👌

  • Hi Mat! Congratulations getting the built this far!👏🏾 I propose the next built should be dedicated to your dad’s prominent support.👍🏾

  • That is looking amazing. Great videos off Mat and crew as always.

  • Great to see the progress and the support from the team in Florida … and what would you do without your Dad’s tireless support 😅 … as for the wheel colour, I like it, however with such a bold body colour, you may need a few other parts detailed to match, maybe mirror caps, badges, Porsche across the rear spoiler … just suggestions, like your idea for the roll cage, difficult without being there and seeing it …. Looking forward to the next episode!!

  • I thought the pilot was going to say there was a problem with your luggage/car parts. Getting craftier Mat, well played 👏😂

  • Congrats Mat, soon you’ll be driving a wonderful car you saved yourself with the help of amazing people 🎉 pretty sure you’ll keep this one forever, but.. I would’ve gone for an outrageous color for the wheels, think yellow, with black parts maybe 🤔

  • Alloy choice in my opinion is perfect. Love the colour, can’t wait to see how it looks once finished. Great work again Mat

  • Well done Mat it looks fantastic, love the wheels

  • Great journey! Quick note on the centerlocks, you never loosen or tighten them with wheels on the ground. Always on the lift.

  • what a journey so far! Did like the grey color for the wheels better but gold also looks good!

  • It's not about the door being on it's actually the connector that completes the circuit. I must say that is a beautiful repair by Jack. But the rollbar would have looked sick in yellow like the calipers. The wheel color actually clashes with the calipers. Black or gun metal would have been better

    • Yep, gunmetal / carbon black

    • everyone knows Purple and neon green/Lambo Green goes well together but gold wheels look sh*t against the purple its like red and yellow for a Mcdonalds promo car

    • My thoughts exactly

    • I was thinking the same thing. I liked the wheels way better as they were. The color doesn't flow for me at all. Aside to that. Phenomenal work and inspiring journey!

  • Love the wheel colour. Best combo in my opinion. Don’t think the gold roll cage would’ve looked so good though.

  • I was smiling all the way thru this video, just so happy for you Mat. Love to see the passion while building this amazing car

  • Nice job Mat! Love seeing this come together. As for the roll cage color…Yeah! Match it to the wheel color. That would TOTALLY make the difference, IMHO.

  • Cleverly done mate, from.concept to editing and production techniques, you make it look sooo easy, appreciate all the effort you put in to make such entertaining and educational content. You're an inspiration.

  • Great match for the wheels and an amazing job done by you guys. 👏👏👏

  • Man I really hope we get Adam himself involved in this somehow, knowing Mat I have a feeling it's already in the works though 😂

    • For insurance purpose Adam will stay farrrrrrr away.

    • @Rohnan why's that?

    • @Rohnan, what does insurance have to do with him appearing in one of Mat’s videos?

    • Adam doesn't want anything to do with that car. He is still spooked from the crash. Can't say I blame him.

    • Yeah really hope they drive by the compound and let Adam have a go in it.

  • Wheels look fantastic Mat! Great job

  • What a legend... really love following these journeys they seem to get bigger and better. Keep up the amazing work

  • Love the series, love the bonding u get with your dad. Sure he loves it just as much if not more, these will be the times u look back on for years and years to come!

  • Looking nice mat, I probably would go with a darker bronze but other than that amazing progress🔥

  • Definitely paint that rollbar in the color of your rims! That’s going to look so freaking sick! To be honest, I would replace the logo as well with your own logo! Make the car your own! Great stuff 🙌

  • Man Tavarish is a good dude for all the help and letting y’all do that at his spot!!! This is what the car community is all about👍💪🤜🤛 Great content Matt keep it up!

    • Wheel color❤

  • I really like the wheel color. That was the color I was hoping you would choose. Im interested to see how they look with the yellow calipers though...

  • Matt love seeing you and your dad working these cars and overcoming the issues. Treasure these times with your dad. ❤

  • Hadn't seen Mat before this build, but what a great build and I'm glad to be subscribed to the channel now. I think the wheels will look great when it's all back together.

  • The car is looking sick !! I think brushed bronze would look good for the alloys

  • Another episode in what can only be described as the rebuild of the century. Shout out to Jack (legend) Tavarish and Matts dad.. what an incredible journey. Keep the content coming Matt. We love every second. As for the wheels without seeing the new ones on properly I’d say stick to the originals. But…….😅

  • I personally would of had black wheels or kept them same colour as before but that’s a personal choice car looks mega mat and your dad seems a top bloke

    • Agree, believe in black as well :)

    • I second that, black wheels would have made it look sexy.

    • I would’ve gone gloss black or gunmetal

    • I agree!! Also I think the roll cage should stay purple, it’s a nice gold colour but definitely clashed with the purple

    • Black so much better. Gold and purple just don’t match at all

  • I have to say matt I have being watching this rebuild from the start and you are amazing, with what you have done to get get this car too where it is now you should be very proud of yourself, can’t wait until it’s finally finished, I love the colour of the rims 👏👏👍

  • Perfect wheel color. I do love the matching Purple roll bar but doing the roll bar in gold too, would be epic. Keep up the awesome work. :)

  • This update was worth the wait. Great progress on this car so far Mat!

  • Brilliant job. Wheels look amazing. I'd paint the roll cage to either match the wheels or seat belts. What a journey! You must be one happy camper now

  • It keeps lovely to see you chasing your dreams, with your dad by your side (and your gf), keep it up Mat!!

  • Don't know how I feel about the wheel color but will have to wait and see what it's like back on and on the ground. Props to you and your hard work.

  • Wooow amazing, this dude is out of this world, the knowledge , experience he goes through he’s an all range dealership in one 😅

  • Really happy about your GT3! On the loom, those solder joint sleeves are not good to use.. its best to just do it properly with soldering iron as the lead melts at low temp (hence why only a heat gun will melt solder), or get a complete separate loom obviously.

  • Your dad is an absolute legend we want him more on the channel!!!

  • Wheels are a fantastic colour choice, maybe match in the door mirrors too, as well as that cage!

  • The color combo is mad sick! Makes it stand out more!

  • Mat is the perfect example for "anything is possible when you try" this is a MASTERPIECES 🔥🔥🔥

    • Correction: "Anything is possible when you have MONEY!!!" Otherwise nothing is possible.

    • @Blubb Time! You need the time or money to pay shop to do all this.

    • isn't it: "anything is possible if you put your mind to it"? Anyways, for people saying money @Chris2008, he can probably sell this and make a profit on it. That's what he has been doing for years now and made his cashflow grow.

    • 💰

  • The funny thing is, I'm really not a Car fan but, your videos (also those of Tavarish and Shmee) are just brilliant and sooooo much fun.

  • The wheels look GREAT! Great contrast. And I am glad you did NOT change the color of the roll cage! Very SIC BUILD! You Rock!😃

  • wheels look epic!!! so does the GT3 also ! good work dad & mat :)

  • Awesome work gents, really enjoyed this rebuild. Your channel was just one of a number (including Tavarish / PARROT bros / and other TT channels) that gave me the inspiration when I madly decided to take on a Mk1 TT so totally know the emotional journey it can be (on a much smaller scale though😂) . Keep the content coming

  • Awesome build bro really like this car surprised LZ didn’t repair it himself cause it’s just that damn cool. Not sure about the wheels probably preferred the old colour. New colour clashes too much with the brakes but all in all awesome to see this thing repaired.

  • Love the relationship between you and your dad , you can’t put a price on quality time with your dad

    • Agree and with Freddie and his guys it's so cool seeing people working together like this and all being cool and not jealous. But actually being stoked for about it

    • I don’t think that’s his dad.

    • @Dean bruh what

  • Matt you're hands down my favorite personality on youtube. Love your Dad can't say I like the gold wheels, but somehow I think it's gonna work keep up the awesome content

  • you gotta invite Adam to see this once it is completely done. I know I'll be glad to see this one of a kind car back on the road. in all honesty I'm not fond of the rim colour but they will look good on the car nonetheless. props to the whole team and especially to Tavarish,

  • Awesome that your Dad is there for support. I don't think the gold tone would go well on the rear roll cage, perhaps if you were in your teens😄. The wheels look like they might be just the ticket to set the car off a bit. Looking forward to seeing them mounted. Will the hub nuts match?

  • Looking super awesome, perfect contrasts with paint and the wheels, top job Matt

  • Love the energy that Mat’s Dad brings to the build. Always smiling and so helpful!

  • Love Dad's "Is that the bit I fixed?" :D Wheels look great contrast to paintwork, but not sure how they'll look against the callipers

  • I gotta say this has to be my favourite series on CS-tv I really am exited to see the next episode of every car especially on the gt3! Keep up the great work

  • Absolutely amazing Matt, you have a great team who are dedicated.. man, what a journey!.

  • It`s so funny to watch your videos. This passion and fun yu bring into the builts! Great stuff! Thanks for sharing....it just provides positive energy!

  • Your video editing and your style of narrative is always grabbing my full attention! Detroit native so my love for cars is unmatched but it looks like you have the same passion for these works of art!

  • As a mechanic, your talent and knwoledge is insane ! I would buy any wrecked car if its repaired by you and your dad !!! Props MATE

  • Well done Mat. So very nearly there! Can't wait for the final reveal!

  • Coming on nicely this one! A tip for your running fan: My VW Caddy (a very distant cousin) did the same with no front bumper on - turned out to be the outdoor temperature sensor, as soon as that was plugged in the fan came to a halt

  • what makes this channel so special is simply the smile, motivation, team work. Congrats! In my opinion the previous wheels color fits better.

  • Wheels look amazing! Great work! Loving this from Canada!

  • The color on those wheels is absolutely perfect!!! That’s exactly the color I would’ve gone for. Great job on this build, I love watching your videos!

  • Silver would be a better choice for the wheels imo

  • I was skeptical about what the wheel color was going to be, but I gotta say they turned out awesome.

  • I think after your finished with your car maybe you could visit Adam LZ with it? Would be cool and the progress has been insane! Been following this whole time. Time sure does fly!

  • Love this channel and all the hard work you guys put in but can you hurry up I can’t wait to see the finished product 😂👍

  • This is by far the best channel on YT what a build and incredible work from all involved 🎉

  • Absolutely amazing Matt, you have a great team who are dedicated.

  • Leave the colours as they are (wheels and that roll bar thing), looks epic. Until the P1 is finished, this looks like it will be the best rebuild to date on YT ! Can't wait to see it finished, and kudos to Freddy and his team for their amazing support

    • I'd have to go with VTuned's tub-swapped McLaren 675LS, and Tavarisch's 720LS. Can't think of any others off the top of my head, though.

  • Watching this guys gives me sheer joy which I can't express in words alone

  • In my opinion purple rollcage looks great and the wheels are🔥🔥🔥 Keep up the good work💪🏻

  • I've enrolled my dad's help with my car projects as well. He just turned 67, loves sharing his engineering knowledge and mindset, and I couldn't be happier to have that time with him because I know not everyone is so lucky. Cheers to you Mat for also being able to enjoy these moments with your dad. Also, the new wheel color is perfect...perhaps the ideal Porsche wheel color IMO.

  • Love the Energy your Dad brings with him.

  • Mat the car looks amazing so glad you kept the same colour that Adam first done it in....Not 100% sold on the gold alloys but can't wait to see them on the car !! may look different. The rebuild is totally epic though buddy can't wait to see it finished and back in the UK,

  • I think it’s good that you’ve put your own spin on it by changing the wheel colour. It’s moving on from being an Adam LZ car to a MA car . Awesome job 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

    • Yep nice color choice, the rollcage would look awesome in that color too!

    • The wheels look amazing with the car colour. Slick

    • yup, and putting back adam lz rollcage... really moving from lz do ma ;)

    • If it was up to me which is not, I would have stuck with alloy

  • The way you and Dad stepped back after setting down the newly painted wheels is something I look forward to with my son hahahahaha that move was epic

  • man, I love the way you love your cars, the energy you put on then! Also the wheels looks AWESOME!

  • Definitely leave the roll cage purple. The gold would look way too busy! Great job figuring out the steering wheel problem.

  • The wheels are spot on and that cage would look sweet on the same colour 💪
