At UFC 178, Yoel Romero faced Tim Kennedy in a bout between Middleweight contenders. But in the closing seconds of round two Romero was rocked by a fleury from Kennedy. The punches opened a cut on Romero's eyebrow that forced the cutman to use vaseline on the injury. The inspector assigned to Romero's corner and referee Big John McCarthy were unhappy with the cutman's work, causing a delay that unintentionally gave Romero time to recover. Moments later, Romero would defeat Kennedy in the third round. Realistically, what are they actually going to do? Fight? They just did that. I always think the same thing when it comes to pro fighters and I just run different alternatives through my head to figure out what they would do to reach an agreement or winner. Both are going to be dead tired anyways.
@Kirk Nichols Realistically, they can jump into the stands and attack the eachothers trainer, causing chaos from the fans. Fans fighting eachother in the stands, and on the streets. We saw this happen when Khabib did exactly that. When both fighters come to a peaceful understanding the fans can as well.

So USADA is not allowed any contact with Yoel while he is in Cuba. So Yoel only comes back for SCHEDULED weign ins and TV appearances. Yoel was getting smashed so they even cheated some more for him. Same thing with the Russian TV contract. And we get MASSIVE STRONG for their weight classes Khabib (now his cousins brotherd etc) Zabit Khamzat etc. USADA is not allowed any contact with them in Russia. Then the contract with Nigeria and what do you know 3 MASSIVE STRONG for their weight classes Champs Israel Usman Ngannou. Wake up and stop supporting this.

I watched this live in a loud bar. I only saw Yoel stay seated and everyone in the bar yelling "cheater". I have never seen until now, the inspector telling him to stay put, nor did we ever see the glove hold due to the bar being so loud and distracting. I always thought of Yoel as a dirty fighter after this fight. Not my fault though. The bar was loud and I was eating wings and nachos. Lol, sry Yoel. I hope he keeps fighting past 50, that'll be epic. He is already a legend as it is.

Not the fault of Yoel’s at all, it is the referees duty’s and responsibility to take care of the fighters. I understand his upset, anyone in that scenario would be too, heck probably even more, but we can blame Yoel for doing what he was told
