  • the absolute hype and support that guy behind the mic transmits is so heartwarming

  • How my boss thinks I'm getting to work after an ice storm.

    • Hilarious when they ask you to send a picture. Like I don’t have pictures saved from the one ice storm I got 8 years ago. 😂

    • @Help Me Least brain-dead boss

    • I liked it because it's funny, and to get to add spite was the cherry on top for me

    • éso qué alv

    • Ахахахахахахаах чел харош

  • That’s not a windshield, that’s there to contain his power

  • The amount of strength that man has to have from his arms down; especially in his stomach and legs is just awesome!! Pure superman insanity to skate that fast on ice!! This is a very underrated record, Kjeld just broke!! Well done sir!

  • red bull gives you wings? naw it gives those thighs DAYUM

    • Red Bull isn’t healthy. That dude won’t ever touch a Red Bull let alone an energy drink his ENTIRE career

    • @Makes me wonder so does your mum

    • Wings that fold like a wind-resistant tunnel

    • Red bull sucks

    • My man just skated a 103 kmh, what do you expect ?😂

  • Physics teachers after saying ignore air resistance:

    • That’s for no break his eyes with the rock ice

    • He has a glas shield infront of him lmao💀💀💀

    • @Nathan McClary high school eh

    • @Stephen Hurdfor high school physics they often tell you to not calculate the air resistance due to the fact that depending the object the math would be too advanced or it wouldn’t effect it much

    • dragging?

  • imagine fishing there and seeing a man iceskate past u going 103kmh lmao

  • Wish I had a hype man like that

    • That`d be the IRS telling you to give them money 😂

    • Word bro I might achieve something

    • "Fantastic"

  • The guy pumping him up and screaming the speed deserves an ice cold beer and a solid handshake once they get off the ice.

  • This actually looks like so much fun to be moving that fast using your own two feet. Air resistance is really holding us back

    • Technically, if there was no resistance, we could just keep adding momentum regardless of how weak or strong we were.

    • @Dave Smith the only reason people move their legs somewhat fast when ice skating is so they can turn

    • @J F Find me a video of the same guy reaching the same speeds without a giant windshield in front of him and I'll accept I'm wrong. In the meantime, calm down.

    • @Ian Moone technically he assumed the guy wasn't a sprinter / he assumed that sprinters would be faster. I get what you're saying so maybe we're both wrong

    • Without the shield, once you reach like 50km/h or so half of the energy you spend is actually counteracting air resistance, it would be much worse at 100km/h, so yeah it really does :c

  • That must have felt absolutely incredible! 💪

  • The strength and determination it takes to do this is off the charts

  • Sem a resistência do vento chega-se a velocidades impressionantes.

  • 64 mph on ice skates must be an amazing feeling. Now I want to try it. I wonder how fast the fastest long distance runner can run underneath that thing. I cant imagine that a sprinter could get the job done unless he has on some kind of legs/shoes to assist his travel so he doesn't burn out before they can get a reading on an increase in speed

  • Probably didn't even feel like he was going that fast lol. No wind resistance has gotta trick your senses a bit, what a unique feeling to imagine

    • Probably like if you were skating on a tread mill if that were possible. Especially with the back of the car right in his face.

    • @brayz game as long as we all learned something for the day, you may be excused 😀

    • @Smokkedandslammed well, it is its own category of record I suppose. It's just finding the fastest possible speed an ice skater can travel over ice on human power alone, but with external assistances. No different to weightlifters natural or steroid users etc. You are right though it does feel a little cheap, but it's an interesting answer to a question though. Albeit a question very few people have asked or care to know. But here we are 🤷

    • @THE PSYCHIC PEACH exactly like this 👌

    • @stevenrs11 ahah good point 👉

  • Ого! Я бы не смог 103 км/ч проехать на коньках! Респект!

  • これはすごい命懸けだな。勇気とそれを支える技術に万歳\(^_^)/

  • That is INSANE! Amazing to watch!

  • I've been here 60 years, and I'm still not bored

  • This deserves a ton of respect. The chances of a a fatality when skating at even half of this speed is still insanely high…

    • @Nyx Wolve ah yes because you were there and saw they didnt check

    • @Vesa-Matti Loiri its outside. Not an ice skating rink. They cant guarantee that the ice is perfectly clear of any tiny obstruction. They dont go and inspect miles and miles of ice for any objects at all for this. They probably go over the ice to make sure any larger objects are cleared but if he fell, he would more than likely get cut up really bad by tiny imperfections in the ice.

    • @Death Inquisitor cope

    • @Vesa-Matti Loiri yup now I know you can't even read right, go and get some text interpretation skills going to help you a lot in your life. Don't bother responding to me anymore...

    • @Death Inquisitor hahah i just noticed you said earlier that on water it would be safer. Wrong about that too.

  • I just love the man cheering him 😍 up so nice to see it hope he has a wonderful journey with redbull 💗🥰

  • Literally had never contemplated so many of the things on display in this video (Ice-skating speed records, eliminating wind resistance, driving on a lake 100 kmph, lakes this large being completely froze to allow this, skating so fast you could really hurt yourself).

  • He was helped by a dome that cut the resistance of the vert. It is equivalent to running on the spot. But he's great! 103km/h on foot 👏

  • The camera man can run so fast

  • Notice how whenever one of these badass athletes break a record their support staff is just as excited for them. That’s the type of support you need regardless of what you do in life

    • How do I find a job like thst

    • 당신의 말에 진심 동감이에요. 저렇게 응원하는 친구가 곁에 하나라도 있다면 모두의 인생이 행복할거라고 생각해요. 지구인들 모두 행복한 2023년이 되길 빕니다

    • Someone yelling next to me while I do the dishes: Crusty forks! dried cereal! BAKED ON CHEESE!!! Wooooo!

    • 👍👍😎

    • It’s always ok to support.

  • Man, the strength you’d need in your legs to do that is insane.

  • One of those, "look how far we've come," moments.

  • The announcer breaking down into incoherent babble after he hit 100km/h got me dying

  • I've done a bit over 60 mph on skates (being pulled by an ice boat 😂) It's most exciting to hit a pressure ridge or soft ice at high speed 🤪

  • Imagine casually ice fishing on the lake one day and seeing this guy speed past you at over 100 km/h

    • That’s what, 23 mph? It’s a joke people. Just relax.

    • @MrConfusedRabbit thank you :3

    • @syabill I know, but it would be possible if you had wind in your favor.

    • 100kmph is only 62 miles per hour

    • @Not Gothamchess 80-90 is still a crazy speed

  • 空力がいかに大事か分かる動画

  • Insane! Doing those kind of speed… there literally no room for any area…

  • Aside from the wind breaker not only eliminating air resistance and helping with a backdraft, but the skater is touching the bar for much of that and when he stops he starts to slow down. You can see the first swing of his arm where he misses the bar is also where he loses it and starts slowing down rapidly So my question is... What's the world record for someone not cheating? Lol (nothing towed by a vehicle, such as a wind breaker or a bar the skater can touch to supplement their speed)

  • I’ve never ice skated before, but I feel like going 64 mph wouldn’t be that hard with a spot that big

  • That is amazing good job that's legendary

  • Those of you who think this is dangerous, I fell off my motorcycle at 105mph. I was scratched up, broken toe, but good. This guy is fine as long as he doesn't *hit* anything.

  • Truly Amazing!!! 😮

  • And here I’m am over here cheering him on snuggled in my fuzzy blanket. Makes me feel like I should be out breaking records😂 maybe tomorrow

    • @Red Bull Hours awake under a fuzzy blanket.

    • @Red Bull 😅😅😅

    • we'll check back in on you tomorrow - which record are we breaking? 😉

  • I'm convinced that the first man on Mars will be wearing a RedBull jump suit

    • I certainly hope so.

    • Brought to you by Karl's Jr

    • Skydiving in mars

    • Nah it’ll be like the nascar jumpsuits, it’ll probably have nasa and space-x front and center and then a ton of little patches for different companies all glued to the arms and chest like war medals

    • Lets get elon musk to agree

  • Just imagine how that would feel against your body. Even with the wind shield

  • De patins in line eu já alcancei 80 km/h com rodas da marca labeda de 80mm em 1999

  • Now he's the fastest man alive ⚡

  • not to devalue this amazing feat of athletisism but I wonder what the unassisted world record is

  • Respect cameraman running over 90km/h and still holing the camera stable. mad respect

  • people don't realise how difficult this is

  • Kjeld is a monster. 3x gold Olympic,4 z gold world champion and many many more

  • I actually hyped too lol "Go man go!" as I drink my daily can of ice cold Red Bull 16 oz 🥰

  • Imagine he did the splits at that velocity…there would be scrambled frozen eggs everywhere

  • When the physics teacher tells you to ignore air resistance: Edit:thanks for the likes

    • We don't like " You" just the copypaste words.

    • @Tejesh Manyamhe said the same thing someone commented days ago...

    • "Thanks for the likes"- bruh you literally repeated what TWO other comments said days before you lol. The internet is rotting our brains- repeating what others said just to get an ego boost from the "internet points". Coooool.

    • @Zelliop [That moment when you correct someone for being wrong on the internet, but are yourself wrong on the internet]

    • @Awareqwx Diamondepliers trying to be smart by saying random stuff they learnt off the internet (talking to the other comments not the one above me)

  • Imagine driving down the bypass and this guy is skiing past you

  • Imagine if Usain Bolt could skate 😮

  • While we were a part of college cycling team, we usually make pacing behind trucks or container which transport use , myself touch speed of 65 on cycle behind trucks pacing n same my teammates did,

  • Eu TB ando nessa velocidade aí, com minha moto.

  • Love the genuine excitement in the radio chatter’s voice. Dude’s fully alive.

    • @BTS_TOOK_MY_HEART💜 Y’all, I’m blowing up. See you in next year’s CS-tv Rewind!

    • It's all the Redbull he's been drinking

    • 100th like

    • 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😐😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😑😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    • Frfrfrfrfr

  • I would love to have seen that pick-up perform an emergency brake test!!!!🤣😀👍

  • 103 k/ph = 65m/ph for those of us in the USA. that is fucking impressive!!! wow!!!!

  • If he could learn how to hold on, he'd be going faster.

  • Fantástico!!!

  • Bro took “I can run faster with no wind resistance” literally

    • @N0t_The_Plague_Doctor yeah tbh it sounded like you were a child on the internet 💀

    • @Gipel The Commenter I know, I was joking too. Reading it back, it doesn't sound like that but yeah I'm joking.

    • @N0t_The_Plague_Doctor the person was referencing a song, hence the quotes

    • @Mark Benedict about 63 miles an hour.

    • Let us then see. Test

  • Yes. He's an incredible athlete, but there really should be an asterisk next to this record for a few of reasons. 1. The obvious one, an air dam that eliminates wind resistance from the front. 2. The draft effect coming from the open back of the air dam actually pushing him forward. 3. The part of the shield sliding on the ice ahead of him slicking the ice, essentially like a huge version of curling. Doesn't make it any less impressive, but it's just an observation.

  • It’s time to let Connor Mcdavid beat this world record now, he will do it instantly! 😅

  • Impresionante 😳

  • So he can draft behind that contraption at 100km/hr. But can he skate 100km/hr without that assistance? When you have something moving forward in front of you, there’s turbulence behind it that will literally push you forward. It’s so much more than just missing the wind resistance because he’s under the cover; it’s actually wind assistance.

  • As an ice skater I can only imagine how crazy that felt. I’d love to skate on a huge lake like that someday

    • @gothic dance crumps if water level rises, there would actually be more fishing...

    • @Mark Washington in other words he's cheating. Might as well get pulled by a rope.

    • @Terry Blackwell 😂😭💀

    • @Roy Vdh fr man, I'm worried about the future of fishing :(

    • global warming is destroying hobbies like this😢

  • Kudos to the camera man who was running to get this cool shot.

  • No way anyone goes almost 100km/h on ice skates the best usually go around 40 km/h from what i know, thats like the fastest ice hockey players giving their all. No way he goes more than double than that.

  • Ему помог купол, который ослабил сопротивление верта. Это равносильно бегу на месте. Но он великолепен! 103 км/ч пешком 👏

  • That little STOP TEXTING at the end when the driver isn't as precise had me 🤣

  • There's a man who does not skip leg day.

    • damn somebody should do a welfare check on @kristoff Smokes . That was a brutal takedown.

    • @Nikolaus haha. While you're not wrong, he clearly trains for endurance and explosive movements. He wasn't going for gains, just strength. But yeah can't disagree with you there, that physique would fill out a tutu nicely 😆 Bet his calves look great in heels 👠 lol

    • @Soggy Biscotti Years of daily training, still built like a girl lol

    • Probably me

    • @Mini Whiffy3 and we have another moron of the week. **applause**

  • When you get that Mario Kart drafting boost IRL.

  • Bro just imagine normally ice skating on that place and see him go 90 km/h right past you💀

  • coisa de outro mundo muito massa

  • People do realize he held the bar to get up to 90 km/h, he didnt start at 0

  • Cameraman skating backwards against wind resistance with steady cam... He's the real champ 🏆

    • @SeansGotJuice I know. And I'm like "yeah right 😒😄" I know he's kidding. Thank you. 😌

    • @Kristina J it's a joke

    • I think the wide angle pov is even more crazy, guy's skating SIDEWAYS!

    • foreal!! the real record holder😂😂

    • @Kristina J it’s a joke

  • When Arnold Schwarzenegger gets interested in skating...

  • Wow! This is awesome!!!

  • Imagine if we could go this fast on land. No more gas prices😂

  • 103km damn what a beast

  • The guy on the radio makes it sounds like the skater is saving the entire universe by traveling this fast on skates or something lol, I love it.

    • @EFT Bro You'll understand when you grow up.

    • @Lefty Shaw Enuph cringe

    • he is

    • @Trevor Bennett @leftyshawenuph4026 can probably beat the world record for amount of hotdogs in his mouth n butt at the same time

    • @Lefty Shaw Enuph what are you on about m8? Who’s crying? Who’s life is in shambles? Why would I need therapy? All I said is you couldn’t do it even if you wanted to 💀💀 goofy ahh. And disagree with you??? What are we disagreeing about??? What did you see that was different from what I saw? Again if it’s not a big deal post a vid of you going 63mph.

  • I’m curious if the previously broken record was also set with the wind shield

  • If he was on a long track he'd be taking the bend every 3.9sec having a 14sec lap time......just for context at how fast he's going......crazy

  • What kinda tires do you need to have to keep traction on an ice plain like this? 😅

  • Wowww skates at 100 KPH that was insane😯👍💪👏👏👏

  • “Neglect air friction” got a whole new level

    • @Moon :P he didnt avoid air friction, theres still air friction. The shield is there to block the wind. Theres still air inside the shield that is creating resistance, he just isn't fighting 80mph winds

    • He has a shield infront, so he avoided the air fricton

    • @Craig Decreased resistance has a place in training. In swimming, we sometimes have people pull us or use fins to "get a feel" for moving at higher speeds than we're used to. The way the muscles engage, the timing, etc. feels different at different speeds. So getting used to the feeling of higher speeds can also have an impact on attaining those goals

    • Neglect Drag

    • @Jayden Cassisse they wouldnt freeze to death that fast. I work in sub 0 temps on a daily basis, for hours at a time and i dont even wear longjohns or thermals nor do i have a special custom made suit thats probably designed to keep him warm af like a diving suit does.

  • Gotta wonder if that wind block creates a vacuum assisting and pushing? Impressive none the less if 100km/h is true.

  • Must feel good going that fast

  • 103 kph equals 64 mph (for those of us that know how to measure)

  • Amazing 🔥

  • you can see the difficulty increase as his stride speed increases. Thats absolutely amazing.

    • @MAG1CKS I can't explain it in detail but from what I know they would let him change the record if it did which just implies it doesn't create one. Not only that but he's inside there more than he is out it's kinda just a shield type thing. all i know is that the wind isn't creating a slipstream

    • @Logan Huckabey Can you explain to me the physics of this and why there is no slipstream effect on this? I´m really curious to know is it because of the chamber-like shape of the wind shield that don´t create slipstream or is the point of the effect further back and if it is then how far back?

    • its called slipstream

    • @azshulay _ that's not how that works but good job 👍🏼

    • That's just called out of shape. He's drifting behind the truck. It's literally pulling him to that speed 😆

  • Bro took “I can run faster without the wind resistance” a little too literally

  • What we imagine when that one Physics question in exam says "assuming there is no air resistance involved"

  • leave it to the dutch to put such an insane record on ice skates

  • He's experiencing what's like to be Shadow the Hedgehog :D

    • Your not wrong that is exactly how he runs or glides I guess

  • props to the cameraman for skating so fast

    • @JC🏳️‍🌈 gae

    • Nah he's running ice ain't gonna get in the way of him getting the video

    • @JC🏳️‍🌈 POV: You've never heard a cameraman joke before so you don't understand it

    • @Robbie Curtis props to the drone for skating so fast

    • And sideways, too!

  • Im short track skater too its so hard and fun to do that sport

  • Damn. Wonder what the human body can do on a bicycle if we ignored air resistance in this same way

  • crazy this is a world record, would've thought it'd b much higher, played hockey and still ski and in skiing you go much faster so ig that may b why

  • Imagine standing on the ice and they plow past you, holy shit

  • "Assume the skater is in a vacuum" -physics textbook

    • @Takish without the resistance eh wow 500kg of force per leg

    • @pingpin9950 there would still be oxygen, it was just be a pocket of oxygen trapped in there with him moving with him. If there was no oxygen there would be a huge pressure differential that would crush the entire structure

    • I wonder where was he getting the needed oxygen from? Does air travel from his back at 100+ kmph? Or was it getting to his face from the bottom of the shield?

    • @LeyKoz_ i know am just mentioning some crazy aspects they tend to add to the questions especially the exaggeration🤣

    • Sort of like a trash bag in the back of a pickup truck, I wonder if he's getting any help from a tailwind. Maybe he should be completely enclosed. Just leave a bench at the back end in case he goes down.
