Merrin's metaphor about "looking into the fire" has me really excited to learn more about Night Sister philosophy, and how they view and manipulate the Force differently from both the Jedi and Sith. It sounds like she's encouraging him to be more free with his emotions, but to not let them control him, striking a balance within himself that will eventually lead to a more nuanced understanding of the Force.
I see Cal becoming one of the most powerful jedi in star wars ever because of this.

@VulLord666 I'm always intrigued by characters that tap into the darkside bit never let it consume them, jedi like mace windu and ahsoka tano, or even bendu. Able to do what would end up corrupting most jedi if they tried. The perfect example being anakin and his use of the darkside.
@Carly Crays it makes sense, dathomir always seemed like a darkside planet, similar to dagobah or korriban. Merrin did say that the planet changed malicos, twisting his fears into anger and hate.
Literally played fallen order like 10 times through, absolutely love it I cannot wait for this game

Only replayed it twice but thats a lot for me. I rarely replay games. The game was fun, should have never listened to the reviews. Too many shit on the game and it ended up being amazing.

Greez and Merrin look absolutely sick! Love how Greez has his own diner now, he’s sharing his grandmother’s recipes with the galaxy! Can’t wait until this game comes out! Only gripe I have so far is the jet troopers appearance, it followed the original BF2 design that they even fixed because it wasn’t accurate. Hopefully this is like a Mk 1 version of the armor and not another goof. I’m also still hoping we’ll be able to spawn some Clones from the first game in arena mode to help us with the droids, that would be sick!

@Ryan Morris I wonder if you'll like my short version of the sequels in this headcanon. Apparently it's fixed in my mind, I'll be writing a novel when I'm free. Tell me if you think I can improve on something! Here it is: Luke has established new Jedi order. New republic has formed. Main protagonist Is Rey. Poe will be here. Finn will be removed. Darth Plaguies (Snoke) who survived Palpatine's assassination returns. Kylo is second antagonist. I'll call Plaguies Plagy now cuz his name is dogs*it. Kylo is young in the first movie and he is a student of the Jedi order. He is the nephew of Luke, son of Han and Leia. He is not really good in the force, but he still likes to study dark side artefacts by stealing them from Luke. He feels jealous of other students. He is cast aside by his mates and is ignored. Sometimes he's bullied too. But Kylo (Ben) can't say shit because if he does so, his mates will tell Luke about the dark side artefacts that Ben stole to study. Ben clearly didn't want Luke to know that. Plagy has been spying in Luke's new Jedi Order. He notices Kylo (Ben). Realising the great potential in Kylo (Ben) and since he is a defendant of Skywalker, Plagy determines to convert him into his apprentice. Plagy manipulates (controls) Kylo's mind into killing many students of the order mercilessly. Luke finds out about this. Luke is greatly saddened and grieved. Kylo (Ben) explains he wasn't doing it. He was being controlled. Luke sense he's telling the truth, and there's a disturbance in the force. Luke believes in redemption, so he oaths to free Ben of his sins. Just next day, Ben isn't there. He is taken by Plagy. Plagy tells him lies about how he heard that Luke would exile him for the mass killing. How he should run away from there, that he will be tortured for his crimes. Plagy tells Kylo he will take him somewhere far away, where he can study the Dark side. He baits him into joining him. Plagy makes him his apprentice. Next we see Rey's scenario. Rey is not a force sensitive, as in the movies. In my trilogy she will duel only with her lightsaber skills. She's basically a desert scavenger, but she extremely arrogant in her abilities. Throughout the story her character will develop. Eventually she'll be blinded by Kylo in a duel, but she won't give up. She'll ultimately destroy Plagy's Soul when he will be trying to transfer his own soul into Rey's body in the last movie. He'll be tricked, and will die. Thrawn will appear in the last movie, after being undercover for a few decades. He will decimate the Rebellion on his own. There's no starkiller here, only a giant super star destroyer named Eclipse (34 km) which can destroy continents or the surface of a moon. Plagy's identity is revealed in the second movie. It is revealed that Plagy was preparing for galactic domination undercover since Palpatine's rise to Emperor, which is why he's so powerful and has achieved immortality. Maul and his Apprentice Talon will be there too. They will be villians until they switch roles to Anti-Heroes. They'll still be evil tho. There's a lot to do with them but I can't cover it in a short comment 😢 Boba will be here too. He will work for the Republic this time. He'll still be the ruthless, silent bounty hunter. The Jedi Order of Luke will contribute in the War against Plagy and Thrawn's purge. Rey will die after Plagy's death btw. Kylo will eventually turn to the light, and it is revealed that he never truly submitted to the Dark side. Plagy is super manipulative too. The last battle of the trilogy will occurr in Exegol, I just think it suits Thrawn's personality that's why. Heiarchy of the New Empire in this trilogy: Plagy > Thrawn > Hux > Kylo > etc Hux will be there too btw. He will play some major roles, and he won't betray the empire. He'll successfully eliminate Han, Chewbacca and Lando by outsmarting them. He'll die in the end of the 2nd film in the trilogy. Idk how to kill Thrawn. He's just so overpowered. Litterally, something VERY unexpected has to happen to defeat him. Can you give me any idea about defeating him? And who will defeat him? Leia will play a major role. She will play the political role and as the representative of the Jedi Order. She is a major senator in the new Republic. The Eclipse Star destroyer will be destroyed in the end of the 2nd film along with Hux. In the Battle of Exegol, Plagy will be killed in his throne room by being tricked, Poe and his huge squadron will taken on the many Star destroyers. No plot armour btw, so Poe will get killed :) This will show Thrawn's Genius and how he just shatters the plot armour itself. Kylo is turned to the light side of the force by Luke in this Battle by being defeated and spared in a duel. He'll take on as the Leader of Poe's (Who's dead by now) squadron. Kylo will visit Vader's castle and Korriban to learn about the dark side. In Korriban he will summon the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos's force ghost. Kylo's told that he is not a true Sith, and he never will be due to his soft heart. Ragnos says to become a Sith Lord, he will have to sacrifice everything he has ever loved or liked, nothing must hold him back, [As told in the Sith Code "Through victory my chains are broken, the force shall free me" To become a Sith lord is not to go in a rampage and follow a path of pure destruction, as one must learn discipline and self-control in order to master the force. Without passion and strength, you are nothing.] - Marka Ragnos Kylo realises his mistakes, how he never put any values to his training before, how he only pursed through rage and brute force. He trains in Korriban in the form of Makashi for a few months by slaying the various beasts, including Tarentateks, the most destructive monsters in the Star wars Universe. By the end of his training Kylo has earned the title of sith lord, and is rewarded by Plagy with a red kyber crystal. He is titled Darth Caedus. Plagy is really powerful too btw. Rey trains under Luke for many months and develops a new lightsaber form of her own. This is not sufficient however, as she is quickly destroyed in the second duel with Kylo where she loses her leg, arm and some fingers of her other arm and gets blinded. She recovers in a bacta tank. She trains further and further in her own now. Few years have passed. (This is story is not in proper sequence btw, I'm just pointing out major details) Basically: 1st movie: Kylo's backstory, Rey's path to becoming a Jedi. The New Empire rises. 2nd movie: The New Empire crushes the Rebellion, but also recieves many damages. 2rd movie: The New Empire falls. The New Republic also falls, so does the Rebellion. There is no one to govern the galaxy now, so the Jedi form a new goverment, which looks over every single problem of every person. After forming the new goverment, aka Assembly of the United Systems of the Galaxy (cringe name bruh 💀) [AUSG] The Jedi leave this government to function in its own, as they do not want to interfere in politics as instructed by Luke. The Jedi then relocate their homeworld to Tatooine, which is now a lush world which is the result of countless bombings over the war. Luke dies in peace with Leia on her side. Kylo, now Ben, has mastered the light side and has left his past behind. He becomes the new grandmaster of the new Order. Do you think keeping Rey dead after she successfully kills Plagy by tricking him is a good idea? Tell me in the comments! This is my entire trilogy. Just tell me: How should Thrawn die and by whom *AND* Should Rey die after killing Plagy? Bye 😊

Everything looks fantastic as usual, but that Gen'Dai's model in 1:06 is really bad, they're supposed to look aggresive and dangerous. I hope they fix that. I'm also excited since this is the first appearance of a Gen'Dai in many, MANY years.

@A McKittrick following that logic you also can’t blame the chief or manager. I’d say give credit where credit is due. Respawn are the developers, writers, etc, but at the same time publishing a game is difficult. A lot of indie studios find this out constantly as they create a very good game product and utterly fail on the publishing end because its a lot harder than expected. I’m not saying thank EA for not putting in scummy tactics or ruining the game, but no matter how well developed and written the game is, it’d never reach our hands without a publisher. We wouldn’t be seeing this trailer if EA didn’t have a marketing team. We’d barely know the game exists if millions upon millions wasn’t spent on marketing. A publishing company is made of people doing essential jobs for getting games in our hands. Whether you like the company or not I’d say it’s important that to give credit where due.

Looks really good! I'm glad Merin is a companion in the game and we get to meet old friends like Greeze. This game seems to be way bigger and more ambitious than Fallen Order, which is a huge plus. FO was good but it felt a bit too small. Can't wait to visit Coruscant!

@mutedmutiny Look, games, like movies, is just another way to tell a story. But neither games or movies are limited to their story. Movies are so much more than just a story. Otherwise anyone could be an actor or a director. In movies we're talking cinematography, acting, sound design and most of all cool/beutyfull scenes. That is why certain movies that have a worse story than, I don't know... The Godfather, can still be more appealing to watch. If there is a new Godfather movie coming out the same time as a new Star Wars movie, The Godfather one is almost guaranteed to be better in terms of story, but I, and most other people, will go see the Star Wars movie. And when you say that the story doesn't matter because we know what will happen anyway, you're contradicting yourself since people still went to see the prequels and we already knew what they would lead to. So story isn't everything in movies either. I don't know if you've noticed it yet, but I'm contradicting myself a bit as well since I'm claiming that making movies is the next step in telling a written story and that games is next step to tell a story from there, but that the elements that go into telling the story are just as important, which is technically what your saying when you think that the interactivenes is the only thing that matters, or for the most part in games, but if we were to bake a pie, wouldn't it taste better if we followed the recipe and added just the right amount of everything?
@COMEBACK GUY story can definitely be important depending on the game, and it’s 1000% important in movies since there’s no interactive aspect to it, but playing games is mostly about gameplay. Story is a component and it’s importance depends on the game, but with Star Wars you already have tons and tons of lore, and to some extent you are limited in the story you can tell because of things like canon and timeline, so like we know where this game sits in the overall timeline, so that means some things just can’t happen and some characters aren’t going to be appearing because of that, so that’s why I say the story isn’t that important. At the end of the day (or the end of the game) we still know what happens in the Star Wars universe after this game, even without playing it. Hope that makes sense.

Amazing! After finally beating Jedi Fallen Order last night I’m really looking forward to the sequel! Love the new combat system/team ups, and I’m all very curious as to who that mysterious character in white hair is and what’s he up to. He doesn’t seem to be a Sith Lord or anything, possibly something far worse than Sith? 🤔 If someone does know who he is or possibly has a clue on what he could be, please let me know!

@Vadam's Vengeance next gen is current gen since 2 YEARS. And the xbox one is like 10 YEARS old. Stop being a kid and give some money for hardware that isn't even expensive or don't. It is long time that not only better games come out, but current consoles get games FOR current gen which are much bigger, and just better. I won't pay 80 dollars for a xbox one or ps4 game while I bought a much better console for much better games. Have some respect
On the subject of pre ordering i really dont understand why people do it...... we all know when games are released they have bugs and come with many issues and take weeks to be patched also its not like you need to pre order incase they run out of copies of the game physical and especially digital 😂

As a casual star wars fan, the original game was one of my favorite stories in the universe, really stoked for this one.
My only concern for Survivor was the High Republic Jedi, but this trailer reassured me. This Jedi being angry that the Republic and Jedi Order lost to the Empire is fantastic storytelling 👏🏻

I can’t wait! Few games I ever get genuinely excited for and this is one of them. The original is one of the best Star Wars games ever and one of the biggest pleasant surprises in the industry in a long while.

@Steffighter144 That’s the same with many single player games, idk about the story but combat wise i feel that Survivor will surpass basically every game I general not just single player, but all in general. The only games I think could be close to the combat are the GOW games, and games like Batman Arkham knight
KOTOR has such old graphics it is not fun to play and the combat is bad. I agree KOTOR has the best story so far in Star Wars Games

@{in©️ognito} I’ve never played then but Ik a decent amount about them, and I’ll agree that they seem better than fallen order but Survivor is going to surpass almost every game out there (at least single player games) I think it might even surpass GOW games and there’s a slight chance of it surpassing games like Batman Arkham Knight (very slight tho) My reasoning: The game will have top tier graphics and speed, a mix of story based and open world, meaningful side quests with their own bosses and good rewards, amazing customization, amazing combat, and have many more force abilities.
This is so amazing can't wait to play it.

@Greg the Gregory you can see from the gameplay footage that there is a lot of frame drops and that may ruin the ps4 and Xbox one gameplay and EA doesn’t want to make the same mistake as CDPR

Lots of action seen in this game so far!!!! The empire seems to be getting very close to the mantis. Hope we get stuck in a tractor beam and get to explore a star destroyer this time!!
In earlier trailers that yellow saber guy had the exact same hilt as Cal which was confusing and had certain implications but it’s now been changed to be a unique hilt.
Half of me feels stupid thinking that they would ditch Merrin. She looks fantastic, and I hope we see some more absolutely brutal use of Nightsister Magic.
I’m really happy we get to go to Coruscant, especially during the Imperial age. Also it’s really cool to see the Mantis Crew do their own thing, even if it means they’re not exactly together anymore!

@Aith Jawcraig No, that’d definitely be cooler! Both are some of my favorite worlds in SW! The Coruscanti underworld and above-world political-scape with and Nar Shaddaa’s nightlife and cartel monopoly!
Coruscant WOULD be pretty cool, but I'd rather see Nar Shadaa. And maybe have a sort of Assassin's Creed segment where you have to keep a low profile.
It's a ballsy move going to Coruscant in the middle of the Empire's prime. I love it.

@Tiziana X I’ve actually read all the canon novels and seen all the canon shows and movies. You’re absolutely right about Leia and Padme especially, as they are far more complex and given way more development in the books. I understand where you’re coming from.
@Rey Skywalker No it's sadly not I recommend you read some SW books bc then you'll see how much potential a lot of characters had that was never used in the movies or shows :( I'd say Cassian and Reys stories are very interesting and good already in their movies/shows but for example Leia, Padme, etc could've had such amazing storylines (their books are amazing) but it was never done like that. I am defenetly not hating on SW I love it so much but I think there are so many storylines/there is so much potential they could use

Really excited for this! The first game ended too soon and so abruptly, I sincerely hope they’ve refined the pacing for the sequel.
