  • I'm super impressed by this tech demo. Keanu Reeves looks real.

  • A Matrix game where you play as a person waking up to the Matrix, meeting Matrix characters from the movies would be hella dope.

  • I would be glad to experience this

  • I cannot wait for the bugs!

  • I mean this looks pretty real to me, you’ve got me convinced

  • I remember seeing the first game using the Unreal engine, named Unreal, and had not heard about it at all. My roommate had just picked it up and was playing it, he showed me the reflections on the floor in the wet areas, the lighting, etc, and my first comment was "Man, that's unreal!", and then I learned that was the name of the game and later that it was an engine for game development. This was a massive leap forward back then from what we were used to in games.

  • Extremely impressive tech demo, although there’s still something about it that feels off. I’m not sure if it’s the eyes, the minimal animation, or the hair (maybe a mix of all three), but something about the smoothness of it makes it able to be picked out as CGI. But still, some of the most realistic looking animation by far!

  • That CGi Keanu looks actually really nice :O The only thing that gives it away is actually the eyebrow animation, I can't point it really out, maybe too snappy that's like 70% what reveals it to me. The eyes this is even harder to point out, I would say the reflection and maybe I miss micro movement. And the main hair shader which looks smooth, the coloring is alright, I would also say more in the direction of reflections. The rest is pretty much on point.

  • A remake of path of neo with the new movie included would pretty dope. Maybe a John wick cameo or two.

  • I want a new Matrix game 🙏🏽

  • If this lives up to either:

  • All the comments thinking it would be a new game:

  • We need a PC or Mac demo too!

  • This is not a game for sure, just a tech demo, but even that way I would be glad to experience this

  • Damn, 22 years after the first Matrix movie, when we finally have good immersive roomscale VR, we actually get a new Matrix movie, and the "Matrix experience" is flatscreen... That just feels depressing, like a missed opportunity 22 years in the making. With the new Star Wars movies several years ago, we got to play with a lightsaber in VR and hear it go "voom voom" with full haptic feedback as we waved it around. I mean I know that most of UE5's headline features don't work in VR, but the disappointment is like if Star Trek TNG teased a holodeck experience after nearly 30 years, and they ended up acting as if they never heard of VR and released it as a mobile game with corny AR gimmicks.

  • This may be. The perfect time to make a matrix game.

  • Unreal engine is phenomenal! I'm very excited for this release.

  • I hope we get a new Matrix game. That would be sick.

  • I'm super impressed by this tech demo. Keanu Reeves looks real.

  • WE NEED A NEW GAME
