i don't mind these videos, James makes them fun, but i do miss the higher effort series you guys did that kinda disappeared. Bumper 2 Bumper episodes looking at some awesome car or Jerry teaching us how something works in detail for half an hour, Nolan's or James' essays on historical manufacturers or people, the Money Pit with Zach showing actual practical stuff, the list goes on. Don't get me wrong i still enjoy the channel and i love all you guys make, but lately it's been feeling like the videos aren't as quality as your previous series.
While I agree, I like old B2B and miss money pit, these videos get a lot of views, consistently. Jerry’s motorcycle project video got way less views than these. It’s kinda sad, but they are a company and need to make money. But yeah James makes these videos good.
Bring back science garage!
They could get me wrong all they want. The channel is way less fun than it used to be and I constantly skip new videos, or leave halfway in. This one was fun, though.
I agree. It seems like they have been running out of ideas for content. They could have done build series for their personal cars but I get how that could get messy. I think Money Pit is the one I miss most followed by Up to Speed and B2B.
I agree, but at the same time Hi Low and Tool Party have been enjoyable, and I love the motorcycle/ATC vids but it seems they don't get views :(
I went ahead and adjusted the whole list for inflation based on the years listed. 25 minute video took 1.5 hours. 😵 1988 Yugo Cabrio: 22,506.99 2022 Dacia Duster Extreme SE: 25,000 1997 Geo Tracker LSI 4WD: 28,270.03 2022 Daihatsu Altis G E-four: 30,800 2022 Fiat 500 Yacht Club Capri: 34,100 2022 Tata Safari XZA Plus Gold: 37,131 2016 Scion FRS Release Series 2.0: 37,396.67 2022 Mahindra Alturas G4: 42,591 2022 Isuzu MU-X LS-T: 46,195 2022 Mazda CX-9 Signature: 47,560 2010 Saturn Outlook XE Preferred AWD: 48,251.25 2022 Seat Cupra Ateca VZx Launch Edition: 49,330 2021 Mini Cooper JCW GP: 50,004.88 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP: 55,213.60 2022 Citroen eSpaceTourer M Flare: 57,000 2022 Suzuki Across: 58,000 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Pinnacle: 58,050 2011 Daewoo Veritas: 58,723.59 2022 Hyundai Nexo Limited: 64,180 2010 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari: 67,911.68 2022 Fisker Ocean Extreme: 68,889 2011 Saab 9-5 Aero XWD: 68,940.97 2022 Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV vRS: 70,381 2000 Plymouth Prowler: 73,956.75 2021 Peugeot 508 PSE: 74,105.60 2020 Kia K900 VIP: 74,766.27 2019 Subaru WRX STI S209: 75,161.54 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate: 82,295 2022 Buick GL8 Avenir: 83,000 2022 Infiniti QX80 Sensory: 83,145 2019 Smart ForTwo EQ Cabrio Ultimate E Shadow: 85,576.19 2021 Alpine A110S: 89,822.98 2022 Rivian R1T Max Quad Motor: 90,315 2023 Genesis G90 E-supercharged: 99,795 2022 Ram TRX Sandblast Edition: 100,080 2020 Renault Megane R.S. doliio volay they were all based on original sticker price. Many in that list likely sold for more than sticker price in many cases.
this honestly deserves more love.
Was just about to do this myself....glad I looked first. Thanks for the list!
Jesus dude.
Thank you
Since everyone is talking about donut content, I'd like to take this opportunity to say I miss science garage. It was a really fun show. Also, I would like to apologize to Jeremiah for not liking him at all at first. I'm pretty sure I commented on a few videos that he sucked or something. I actually really like him and think donut has a great cast now. I agree with a lot of what others have said here. I love donut I just hope they listen to some of the suggestions.
Seriously I use science garage to help me study with the automotive course I'm in right now. I'd love it if they brought it back but maybe kept it on topic a little better than the old science garage videos
I thought I would get over it but I haven't. I still miss Bart & Science Garage. That was easily their best show. I also disliked that James threw in Jeremiah (who was brand new at the time) to "replace" Bart. But yes they have definitely been prioritizing profits over the quality of their content as of late.
@krisfarlee nah Bart wasn’t replaced, he had to go. He had a kid
This
@OJ Simpson I mean, most people have a kid and keep working, maybe they take a few months off. I'm not a conspiracyist but it feels like there's more to the story
Could you please do a follow up list of the cheapest car from each company? I think that would be entertaining.
simple, but really funny videos about topics I’m curious about. Keep these going, keep ‘em all going
I wonder what car company would be at the top of the list if you list the cheapest car it even sold, Bugatti seems the obvious answer but wonder if any obscure company can beat it. You'd have to adjust for inflation or it would just be all the really old cars.
I've loved going over Donut's stuff, you guys really have smashed a nail on the head with your work but something that struck me early on, and I think you're now realising, is how this sort of thing has to mature into a steady state. You cranked out a lot of content, you made us all laugh, you put on more shows and it feels like you're scrambling for content to keep the train going. That's why TopGear only had one episode a week, things aren't moving all that quickly. That said, a timeframe like that just doesn't work on CS-tv. To be a little more positive, I think you guys had an amazing idea with the 'High Low' series- wanted to see something mid-range in there aswell but it was fantastic to see it applied to the 4x4's-, the project builds and pro vs DIY. Think an Old vs New kind of show would be cool, bike content, F1/2/3/Rally/Dakar reviews. Never forget you can rip off TopGear/CarTrek and make roadtrips and challenges show with you and the guys. That template has stood the test of time, people love it, it feels raw and we got to see places most people can't go to, throw in a little history and camping... Winner.
If your saying they need a tv series I agree
This comment needs more attention
When they started reviewing Wish products it went downhill.
@TechDove yep. Tons of more attentions than ever before.
@lobster whisperer yep. Reviewing about TVR car products.
There is a stark difference between "costs" and "worth". Kudos on the research yall had to sit through to put together this list.
Donut fans: "I'd watch James read a spreadsheet, he's so awesome!" Donut: "Hold my beer"
disliked it james sorry
Honestly donut content has become filler for me nowadays. James yells for no reason, i have it on in the background.
And the graphics department was killing it on this one.
He could just stare at the camera for 5 minutes trying to keep a straight face and I would watch it.
This video would've benefited from adjusting the prices to today's dollars. Ah well
Man it's kinda depressing to see the direction Donut has taken since they were acquired. Really miss the classics like B2B, Up to Speed, Money Pit, and especially Wheelhouse. Still love the OG Donut crew and really like the new additions (Justin is a great pickup) but these "list" videos just feel so low effort and come across as "we ran out of good ideas but we still need to put SOMETHING out." Bring back old Donut Media! *Edit* I think the recent video about motorcycles with Jerry was a great video, more content like that!
Donut was aquired? Ahh fuck...
D List is old
Acquired by whom? 🤔
@Jorge Moreno Recurrent Media
@Ismael G who is that?
B2B is what got me into cars in the first place three years ago, I loved the engineering series and up to speed and I'm pretty sure I've watched every video from those three. This is the first donut video I'm watching in a while cause it's at least a semi interesting monolist concept for once and I gott say I feel let down. I'm glad to see others in the comments share my viewpoint on this, but I'm really sad that this stuff is just all that donut is now.
77 percent cool.
Lol three years ago? How old are a you? 13?
@Sam Holdsworth Tf does it matter to you?
@DoogusTrog I'm gay
I feel like this could have been a multi part series. I would have loved to learn more about what features the vehicle has and if/why the price is justified. PLEASE make this a series. I would watch every episode.
I'd love to see this adjusted for inflation on some of those, especially the older ones.
but I do miss the other series they used to do.
You guys should do this video prompt again, but instead of the most expensive car's MSRP from each brand, it should be the most expensive car from each brand to ever sell. Whether that be a crazy rare model of a car that was cheaper originally but sold for millions (300 SLR), or a vin #1 car, or an old celebrity iconic car even. I think that would make for a pretty killer video!
I think the biggest issue with Donut content at the moment is that they're gutting a bunch of content like Up To Speed, Wheelhouse etc, which I understand research is hard and there's only so many cars you can get a hold of, but more importantly is that content feels too quick. I think Tool Time with Jerr Bear and The Hunk and Tax Write-Offs For Content are great additions to the show but you can really feel like a lot of stuff is left on the cutting room floor. The two biggest examples I have of this are the "Pigs Blood as Oil Coolant" video and the "Pick-up Bed Pool" video. There was a scene in the Pigs Blood video where they straight up cut the final expirement for maple syrup as coolant. I get the pigs blood was the main headline maker but if you aren't even gonna commit to showing us everything then why have it in the line up. With the Pool video, they show Jerry I think in the pool filled up as it's moving for like half a second at the start of the video and the only time we see context is at the very end when the imbedded videos cover half the screen and you don't even get that much extra footage. The whole shot feels like a checked off box, like the higher ups say "There has to be a wacky scene that generates both a reaction of the crew and potentially the audience". I get that I'm ranting about two scenes in two videos but I just feel like Donut reeks of corporate disonance and feels more like clickbait auto journalism and not people being people. Also when was the last time you saw "| Donut Media" in a title
Finally someone said it
Fun education has just become a bit too silly and click bait
Its too formulaic. Its beyond a problem nowadays. I wrote about the depth of the content and how over time their market has completely changed... It just feels like a corpse of a channel.
Im still waiting for an up to speed on the scion tc :(
James need to stand up and tell their corporate bosses what's up
I like how light hearted and just funny this was where you could hear everyone in the studio laughing too. I assume these videos are a nice cool down for everyone
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝🔝!!.
These videos may not have the stakes or the drama of the build stuff or the product tests but I always click them as soon as I get home from work. After a really long day I enjoy a simple, but really funny videos about topics I’m curious about. Keep these going, keep ‘em all going
James always made everything in Donut Media epic.
Donut has a lot of fans and a lot of content to produce. They post on CS-tv most days of the week. And they have two podcasts now. Saying all this to say, everything great in entertainment has filler episodes. They need to make this content so that they have the time to actually work on the content everyone is asking for. They are very aware that Money Pit, B2B, Wheelhouse, and Hi/Low are extremely popular series. But they have a lot to maintain in order to produce this material. Be patient with them guys, and enjoy the light hearted content like this. These videos to me help me learn about cars I never knew about. There are at least 20-25 cars on this list that I’ve literally never heard of. Perhaps more. I think that is very informative and worth watching.
In the meantime, go rewatch the old series you love over again. I do that and there’s always stuff I either forgot about, or didn’t notice the first time around.
I have watched you guys on and off for years now (think since Donut started) love the videos. I also like how creative you guys are with the jokes and video edits even the ads, i hate watching ads amywhere but you guys even make that entertaining i mean hats off 🎉
Since a lot of other people are saying it I will throw my 2 cents in. I like these videos, But I really do miss bumper to bumper, wheel house, money pit etc. I thought there was mention of another high low coming. High low is probably one of the best and most creative series in the car CS-tv community. For years there have been people building cars on a budget and at the same time people who have been building cars with the most expensive parts they can find because they believe it is truly worth the extra cost, and I think high low really shines a light that you can get the same or similar performance for half the cost. (in most cases). High low definitely needs to come back! I think that instead of doing a specific build like off road or drifting, just do a standard street build that MOST car enthusiasts are likely to build, and with a commonly modified car, like a wrx or civic or something. Any car that has an affordable base model that people tend to build. The most common first mod is an air intake. I'd like to see a test between an AutoZone drop in filter and a $500 carbon fiber covered intake.
mmpj twod yep. Devel 16 actually costed $43M.
I think all the builds would be better. They should do a dead brand like Mercury! That’d be a CHALLENGE. Lol
high-low definitely made me really like Donut. This guy's humor gets old unfortunately..
I love donuts out there content. The tool tests and James random content are my favourites!
Really enjoyed this video and got a lot of much needed laughs from it! And to add to the other comments, thank you for acknowledging the feedback on the direction of things lately. I only found this channel earlier this year and can honestly say you guys gave me a love for cars that I’d never had before; and you’ve shared so, so much knowledge in a way that didn’t feel intimidating or elitist like a lot of other media outlets do. Being able to teach people with humor and do it so well is a rare gift. I learned so much from watching the playlists of Up to Speed and Wheelhouse and was bummed to see those shows fizzle out and disappear just as I got into them; but I’ll always be grateful that you guys shared them to begin with. The love and effort that went into those series really showed. I totally understand scripted content with lots of research takes a ton of time and work, and the frequency that you guys were putting it out was staggering so I can see the need to slow down or step back from it, but please know that people are willing to wait if the substance of the content is worth it. If there’s one thing I’ve enjoyed about the recent content it’s been the natural reactions between the different hosts, and I hope we do get to see more of that chemistry no matter the direction going forward. Please, stay true to yourselves and don’t burn out. ❤️
but I do miss the other series they used to do.
Same here
Beautiful Video ❤️ I think the pandemic taught people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean financial security. I really appreciate the transparency and giving people a fighting chance during these troubling times.
I agree with you 100%. Did you know that the unemployment rate increased significantly between 2020-2021. people found themselves unemployed. we should not depend solely on wages and salaries.
Diversification of Investments is really a great idea for multiple streams of income.
@Trevor Walter That's true. I invest in dividend stocks, Forex trading and Real Estate and I'm making good profits from them. I always encourage Investments.
I had interest in Forex trading and stock investments but I was discouraged after I lost over $15,000 doing that on my own😔
Forex trading and stock investments are really profitable, now is the best time to take advantage of the market and earn a lot. And of course to do that you need the help of a professional.
I had a hand me down manual geo spectrum for my first car....loved that little thing. The clutch broke and my parents as well as the mechanic were like, it is not worth it to fix it! Come on, a clutch was worth more than the car? I wish I would have fixed it. I would still have that thing....pop a turbo in it haha
I love Donut media! Easily my favorite automotive CS-tv channel. When can we get another up to speed?!
I've been wondering how other people felt about donuts content recently. I've been watching them for years and like other people said, I do like this content since it's entertaining but I do miss the other series they used to do.
Just another example of "Oh we're popular now? Well..lets produce 1/4 of the content, and 1/4 of the price...and profit 10x as much! Problem is, people still provide views because we're loyal.
@Robert you're talking about donut like it's a paid service or something they gotta pay the bills my guy
@Null That didn't seem to be necessary like a year ago. And don't say "they have to hire more people, pay bills etc." You underestimate how much CS-tv channels earn. Merch aside.
Miss money pit ngl it was cool because it would show you how to install cool things onto your car and then they would see if it’s really worth it.
Man you did a great job on the details of what shows you liked. This wasn't vague what so ever. The "other series" such a mind blowing show.
Couple weeks ago I was driving down the street and noticed my neighbor had a cool little red prowler. Photographed it lol. One the coolest impractical cars in my opinion. Would definitely buy one.🙏
I first saw James doing a video about bozazuka culture and was hooked. Wouldn't miss a video. Now I don't really care. I'll watch it only if I can't find anything else. Bring back the good stuff boys. I can't be the only one who feels this way.
You included Ruf this time! Yay! I really do love you guys. You have inspired me to dream more for my own wants, aspirations, and more.
Easily my favorite car here is the Brabus Smart ForTwo. Oh man. My dream car, unapologetically, is the Smart Fortwo, and a super fast version sounds pretty sick. But if I actually choose to get behind the wheel in my lifetime, it’ll be in a base Smart Fortwo, probably the final gen if I can find one, but I will take ANYTHING I can get.
Love to see you including the Indian brands. Much love♥️♥️
I think a good idea for a new money pit is buying a car that actually doesn't run and need repairs to even start during the first episodes. So we can see a complete journey with the car.
These are my favorite type of videos to watch. “First start” videos its always so satisfying and I can stay invested for 30 mins+
Could take it a step further, and buy a rolling shell, and really start fresh lol
@Jack.f30 Absolutely. It's the only reason I'm subbed to LegitStreetCars, lol.
@GLI 16V absolutely. Maybe two and make hilow out of it.
If not, hilow could be muscle cars or hatchbacks
I’m glad you guys tacked on the little bit on the end of the video about listening to your audience. Hoping to see some of the old series make a comeback, and hopefully some new and exciting stuff too. :)
I drove a Dacia duster 2000 km in Iceland a couple months ago. Didn’t have ac (though apparently not really necessary in Iceland), and no cruise control (has a speed limiter instead). Definitely not a car that I would recommend day to day, but super popular around the country.
i mean most people that have dusters have AC and Cruise Control, like every other car
Are you sure it didn't have cruise control? Usually it's in the same button as the limiter, just a different position
They made a lot of options for it. In earlier versions from 2010 for the lowest price possible (8k euro if I remember correctly) you get a SUV but w/o the comfort of AC and cruise control (just limiter). The newer models (2014 and beyond) they got a lot of standard stuff on it
Bloke drives rental spec Dacia that is cheaper than any new car you can buy in the States but writes off entire brand.
well for 2022 models onwards you can pretty much get anything on them, including multiple airbags, electronic hand brake, auto safety brake system, multimedia with android/iPhone phone connectivity via Bluetooth, back camera, sensors, shift indicators, cruise control, speed limiter, SOS button (since 2014), hill climb assist, and so many others... it is true that the base models come almost bear bones, but you have other levels and optionals. so you can chose what you need
Hummer fan here...the 2006 H1 Alpha was between $129,399 for the open-top and the wagon was $140,796. Last year of production. No hate, no fouls...just a fan of Hummer and Donut! Love your vids, ya'll stay rad! Cheers
would love an alternative "cheapest cars made by every brand"
Hope all is good James. You always bring me joy and happiness like a child so thank you. Love you bro❤️
Got introduced to Donut through the awesome ‘evolution of skyline’ in 2017, loved every additional member and set, proud of how Donut grew, sadly all must come to an end, feels like a recession.
What do you want from a t shirt company?
@Sanguchito Gaming i think hes talking about how donut content is lacking the effort and insight it used to have. All they do now is regurgitate informstion and test crappy amazon products
Love how you included every notable GM brand except for Oldsmobile
Wow! $30 million for a car... what would be really cool is the price tag of all these cars today after factoring in inflation. Great video!
“…which cost forty-five thousand dollars four-hundred fifty dollars.” I choked on my dinner laughing so hard and almost died. Lol
Probably an impossible task, but i would love to see some of these cars being torn down and appraised to see if they are really worth the asking price that the manufacturers charge. But then again. Its estimated that the manufacturers cut lies somewhere between 10-20% depending on the car and also the brand - Some brands just charge more just because they can.
whistlindiesel
The mentioned price of the LFA Nurburgring Edition is actually quite cheap compared to NORMAL LFAs for sale now. Normal LFAs are going for around 1 million USD.
Definitely want to see more of Jeremiah explaining complicated/scientific stuff in addition to fun lists like this
They killed up to speed and wheel house which wre my 2 favorites
He could be the new host of Science Garage. I enjoyed that video series.
@hornback86 yep. Me too enjoyed it.
Showing the previous 2 cars in the graphic made this video so much easier to skim through quickly. With so many short clips and a lot of information, this was a great design decision by the editor.
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝...
I didn’t know DAEWOO made anything other than CNC Machines. I love learning weird stuff from you guys
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝..
The Veritas is a re-badged Holden Statesman AKA Chevrolet Caprice PPV.
Romanian here: Watching James talk in romanian cracks me over lol. he's hilarious
Up2speed was my favorite series! I love learning in a fun and enthusiastic way!!
I’ve seen Fiskers come in at my job before, since I manage a Car Wash. There’s a new Fisker Karma high-performance variant called the GS-6S that goes for over $100K, even the base GS-6 retails at over $80K. I had to look into it lol when I saw the list I knew there’s no chance those Karmas are going for less then $68k. Edit- You added Karma to the list as well, I thought Fisker turned into Karma Automotive. I guess they separated the brands.
donut003 seems like you got a present for everyone who commented lol
Man I remember waiting for Donut Media videos every week. And now it doesn't feel rewarding anymore! It's great that they made it big and started uploading videos everyday but now I don't really mind missing a few videos.
its turned into mojo for cars.
mmpj twod like what? Throttle House?
Okay, but are we ever going to get another episode of ‘Up To Speed’ that’s so good it quite literally causes James to well up & cry from the sheer, raw emotion the episode’s topic and writing evokes? Please. More ‘Up To Speed’. Please!
The crew laughing in the background makes this so much more enjoyable and funny
Donut finally focusing on Indian brands makes me so happy lol
Would love to watch a new Money Pit series. I binged the Miata series start to finish as soon as I found it
The last few cars and their prices are absolutely mind boggling! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I'd love to see more cars being built, loved both of the Z series and the whole yotas tacos offroad adventure. Glad to see James is still here to make our dys!
James is donut imo 👍🤘
Donut’s most informative, well researched content isn’t on CS-tv anymore, it’s the Past Gas podcast. It’s the only thing they make that I enjoy and listen to the day it comes out. I just wish bumper to bumper, up to speed, and science garage would come back. Why would you stop making your best content?
Because views matter, and they’re going after what gets views. Can’t blame them at all.
@Cole Sisler True, they gotta make money for Hi Low.
20:59 I’ve been waiting ever since this car dropped for someone to say this out loud. It sure feels good to know I’m not the only one.
“Look, you didn’t click on this video to learn about Scion. You clicked on it to learn about your favorite car company…Daihatsu.” 😂😂
As a romanian im very proud of you James.
15:23 Justin’s laughing in the background is exactly how I’d be on set, trying so hard to be quiet lol
“Poor people, goodbye” my man you left us at Geo 😂
100% ,let's go online
Yea, I refuse to buy ANY new car when anything decent is going for over 40. The world has gone mad. I mean... a Jeep for over a hundred grand? In what universe!? Ill just keep on fixing my 2006 Volvo, and my 2011 335D until the wheels fall off.
@Rogelio Hernandez the problem isn’t the prices, it’s that the wages haven’t gone up at the same rate like they are supposed to. Federal minimum wage would be $25/hr if it kept up with inflation.
10:27 for the gold plated Delorean DMC 12, priceValue of $85,000 from 1980 to 2022 $85,000 in 1980 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $305,624.51 today, an increase of $220,624.51 over 42 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 3.09% per year between 1980 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 259.56%. That's a lot of money for a golden crapbox.
I was going to say the same thing, even the Prowler at $43k in 2000 would be $73k today.
Finally my boy Daihatsu gets a mention ❤️
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝...
I'm actually surprised! I thought that Porsche's most expensive model was the 918 Spyder!
My 1996 geo prism was a rebadged corolla. It was a super fun little 5spd I abused for a while bought for $600 and sold for $800
Man that Pontiac made me sad. Imagine what Pontiac could be today had GM not sacked it
I miss Up To Speed man, James has a knack for automotive informational story time, he liked it too, now too often we see videos about car prices…bums us ALL out man…
I do deeply miss the old informative yet fun donut, nowadays it's all messing around
Same :(
Only James can read a bunch of numbers and words and make it so entertaining 😂
I really want to thank you for those few words at the end. We've been waiting for it. Personally, I'm a little tired of so much animosity while Donut goes through some growing pains. I knew you could hear us,... And we luv ya too!
I've never heard of like 80% of this companies but these prices make me want to buy a Yugo.
I quite like this kinda stuff. It's interesting and factual, not to mention James makes reading the freakin' alphabet hilarious. Keep it up!
Just an romanian passing by. The Dacia Duster is extremly capabile in off road terrain!
Only thing I would say is you guys should have also adjusted for inflation on each pricetag. Like that DeLorean - now, it'd be $234,037.03.
Adjust for usa car taxes from source countries too
Exactly what I was thinking.. kinda makes the list unfair
My stupid a** just read 234 million
They did put in the year, also Considering cars depreciate over time, no need to adjust for inflation. :P
@lass kinn for California let’s just add another $40K in taxes 😂
I love James energy in these videos. But i also miss the moneypit and hi-lo etc. But i get that they take alot more effort to do.
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝🔝!!.
We’re all desperate for more car content that’s good. That’s why you guys are so successful. Just keep making videos & we’ll keep watching. Throw lotsa crap on the wall until you make a Pollock!
I appreciate the effort of pronuncing the hardest language of all time.... romanian. And that joke with romanian dollars was very good. I hope more will come. 😁
I like the older videos too. These are not terrible, but I like learning about cars as u work on them
It’s crazy how many of these most expensive cars were based on the Commodore / Caprice / SS!
I am glad you included Indian brands like Tata, Mahindra, Romanian brand Dacia and Spanish brand Seat which are all not widely known but you did miss some popular domestic brands like Malaysian Proton and Perodua, South Korean SsangYong and Samsung, Russian Lada, Tiwanese Luxgen, Vietnamese VinFast and Iranian Iran Khodro. They all make very interesting cars for domestic markets and might not be globally popular but are a hit in their own nations.
Opel tho
next money pit id like to see would be a Subaru, rebuild the turbo, explain the tuning process, all that
Ive been watching Donut Media for 7 years now!! And i still love the channel... but maan, i miss the series that u used to do, specially bumper 2 bumper and up to speed
You should do a comparo between the cheapest and the more expensive car of the same company, the same year, like a top ten of the companys who have the biggest gap between.
It seems Donut is in a tough spot right now. This whole "we make clothes" thing, and the lack of videos with real education or customized cars we can afford is kinda weird in my opinion. I personally really liked the idea of having shows like money pit and hi low that came out once a week, it gave me something to look forward to during long days at work. Now I come home and it's a gamble if there will be any vid from donut, and when there is a video, I'm often not really paying attention anymore.. like I only watched this one to see certain brands, and after I just kinda zoned out lmao 😂
🔝🔝Thanks for watching..🔝🔝 messages right away i have Something for you🔝🔝🔝...
Ok, we passed Mazda and a cross over was more $ than a RX7? These videos are sweet, totally dig them!
There’s nothing more entertaining than a group of friends being themselves together, Unedited and uncut, just working on cars. Driving cars, whatever, this video makes me feel like I’m in a classroom. With a hilarious teacher though. Just record yourselves having fun.
Agreed
Yep, these videos are definitely unedited and uncut. 😂
What’s up with having uncut friends
@CNS totally unplanned, no script, no editing, no planning of any kind going on here...
This video is honestly painful because I don't even like james that much... Its just a guy reading off a spreadsheet
Love these "___ From every car company" vids. Slowest/least powerful car from every company might be a fun video too haha.
Give a little more backstory to each car if you have time man. Like the G8 only being made in Australia and being imported over and its a re-badged Holden Commodore. Also its RWD and the GXP had an LS3
Y’all realize after 500K they just started adding numbers like crazy 😂
This would be interesting if you adjusted for inflation for older cars
Yeah, I saw a smart Brabus in Britain yesterday. It just looked like a smart car with a body kit and large wheels, btw the wheel looked far too big for the car. But it did turn heads. .
A bakery can only sell stale donuts for so long before all the customers catch on and quit buying. Bring back the good fresh content. You guys were awesome 2-3 years ago. Now not so much.
Exactly!
^ underrated metaphor This channel is gonna die and go into obscurity much like jalopnik in a year or so. already i don't listen to the content, its background noise.
That's the problem, many people love stale donuts and almost prefer them over fresh.
Best comment here
I take it you've never been to Tim Hortons
Gotta love hearing Nolan laughing in the background
Can you do most expensive cars each year, so we can actually see the price wars?
Wow, you actually guessed my favourite car brand correctly!
I love you guys and your vids, I miss the ol money pit vids but do what makes money, especially in today’s economy
Best donut video yet. I laughed the whole time, who tf buys a 17M car?
8: 20 I think the Donut crew forgot about the Fisker Karma from 2011-2012. Wikipedia says the most expensive model was 116.000$. The only reason I remember that model is because a neighbor had a Karma of some sort. The IRL looks of that car blew me away nearly as much as the price tag! The current manufacture Karma was founded in 2014.
Watch 14:37 🙂
@Adithyan B so they just had Fisker on the list twice I guess?
@Adithyan B I did, Karma became their own company in 2014 after the car in question was made
First thing I thought!
Opel?
Love the Romanian references.❤️ You should make more videos about Romanian cars. Or even try to drive some 😂 Much love from your Romanian subscriber that has been to US twice. 🇺🇲❤️🇷🇴
Great content… always a pleasure to watch
“I know you didn’t click on this video to hear about Scions…” well, I would click on that video if you made one. Been driving an 09 tc for a few years and it’s super fun and would love to learn more about the brand
