Gambir is sometimes underrated as during his career there players like - Sachin, Sourav, Yuvraj, Kaif, Virat & MSD. However he has been crucial in many of our semifinals and finals. He is surely missed by Indian Team today. We haven’t found a true replacement for him since he retired.
Feel seriously bad for Raina. I know that GG doesn't get credit, but atleast his fans speak for his innings. But no one talks about Raina's priceless contributions with bat in crunch situations whether it's the 2011 WC Quarter final or semi final. He's the real unsung hero of India.

Raina has been very reliable during his early days of his career. Alongwith Dhoni being the support of the team. One of the true gems of Indian Cricket team.
Raina back in those days was the most consistent batsman bats in the team. He did not score big all the times but his 35-45 was almost guaranteed 80% of times.

That was a time (2010-11) when Harbhajan was performing like a vice-captain.. whether Tests or one-days, whenever wickets or runs were needed, he'd step up. E.g. Test centuries against New Zealand when more than half the wickets had been bundled out, match-winning 8 wickets in an innings against South Africa in Kolkata, etc. If Dhoni had left the captaincy after the 2011 WC and Harbhajan had replaced him, may be India would not have the catastrophic tours of England and Australia. But after winning the IPL as captain of Mumbai Indians, he gave some statements about what he thought the captain should be doing, and surprise, surprise - he was dropped from the Indian team. A bit like what is happening with Ashwin nowadays.

@Intelligent Dude Pakistan cricket team used to be a very strong in the 80`s and early 90`s. But since then their level has gone to the gutters much like the condition of their country as a whole. Now Indian team is at a different level altogether, especially in ODI and Tests. Pakistan does reasonably well in the hit and miss T20 format. Now wont be surprised if the third string Indian side beats Pakistan. Pakistan should look to improve their domestic cricket and produce better cricketers. Living on past glory wont help.

Almost Amir bowled 3ov to him he scored 4 rund only.. 1 Maiden also there..Gambhir, Dhoni, Raina, Harbajan what terrific fighters are they..Pak also have fabouls team Shoaib, Afridi, Razak, Malik especially Azmal, and Amir they were beasts at that time.. Shoaib Akhtar realized it very late in his career that "chucking" the ball at 150km/hr is not considered bowling. Bowling is a skill! Mastering speed, line, length and swing along with presence of mind made good bowlers. Akhtar just relied on steaming with pace while chucking every other ball. ( Surprised he was never called out for that ). When Age and body ran out, he tried adding skill. Alas, it was too late. Wasim Akram is still, and will be the best bowler ever to have come out of Pak..
