The fact they are using a Snapdragon chip for all worldwide phones is definitely a good change. European users were getting short changed
@Mattias Kollnitz why not wait until a 30? I hear that’s coming out tomorrow…
@Mattias Kollnitz dang, I traded my s21 ultra for this new s23 ultra 😪
@VerveTech and I'll lo. Mj
I cannot wait to get one of these next week, upgrading from the s21 ultra
the fact that they are using a real snapdragon chip, not "snapdragon" branded *cough* exynos chip
I think they should have a 2 year launch cycle for phones, itll allow them to further optimize last gen phones softwares even more and improve their overall brand image.
I actually have this
@meetkaustubh rao there’s no point In doing a yearly launch because one they are producing more phones than they need to as not a lot of people change phone every year anymore and it’s producing more electrical waste and it’s just pointless it should be every few years and I don’t see a point on changing from my s22 ultra to the s23 as there’s not anything good enough for me to change for it’s a waste of money you should wait until your phone is obsolete then change
and miss out a whole year of revenue? I mean you can always skip the current year's launch
Yea, most upgrades year to year are minor. I know there is a lot of new stuff in the S23 over the S22 ultra models but, to the real world, day to day, they would be minor to the average owner. The pictures are a little better but, the OS level stuff, is the same. I upgraded from a Note 10+ to a S23 Ultra, even apps, I would time an app opening and even some games, it was 2-3 seconds faster for a heavy game or maybe a 1/2 a second for Facebook or something. Not a game changer but, faster. You don't have to buy every year, every 3-5 years is ideal, by then there will be enough changes to make it worth it.
I Agree!
I have used my S22 Ultra for a few months now, and I can't complain about anything. I moved from an S10+ so the jump was miles big and it really felt like it deserved the money even though I paid like 900$ for the phone. Seeing the S23 Ultra, I have to say that, even though I love the design of the S22, keeping it the exact same is not one of the best moves that Samsung made. Also, I bought the S22 mostly for the camera, which didn't disappoint at all. Seeing the new camera, I can say that it is definitely an upgrade, but I cannot say that it is worth to go from an S22 Ultra to an S23 Ultra. If you really need a better camera, for almost 1300$ it would be better to buy a DSLR and get better photos and videos, as the S22 Ultra has a more than good camera for day to day photos. I can see myself buying a new phone when the S24 Ultra appears maybe. Then the jump would be higher and the difference would definitely be worth it. I just hope that Samsung doesn't randomly decide to reduce the quality of the cameras with dumb software updates
Moving from a good as new s21 ultra to an s23 ultra, I am still unable to see the actual difference apart from the s pen, and the note era sharp edges that make the s23 ultra look like a powerbank😂
@Jeremiah Mckenna I assume its 900 dollars? 🤔
@Jeremiah Mckenna Verizon has an option to add your exact phone it gives you an exact amount 🤷♂️
What is 900$?
I got mine yesterday. Coming from a Note 10+ and the difference is really noticeable. The screen is far more vivid, thanks to the new and faster memory chips applications get installed much faster, the camera got better as well, especially in low light environments. For users with S22 Ultra this is probably not that huge upgrade, but for me it was. The Snapdragon is definitely one of the best features of this phone.
Thinking of upgrading ftom a note10+ too.. does the s23 camera intergrate better with apps? Battery life? Heating?
Which carrier?
Currently using the 22 Ultra which I'm really happy with, will probably upgrade when the 24 or 25 Ultra gets released, will be a slightly bigger step up then
@TheCoolDave that's one hell of a step up, you got a great phone there bud and a great deal with it .....enjoy 👍
@justin lloyd I just went from the Note 10+ to a S23 Ultra. The ONLY reason I did was my carrier was giving a free upgrade from 256gb to 512gb and they gave me like $950 for my Note 10+.... I would not have done that if it was not offered.
Only reason I jumped was I had the s21 ultra. Will now be waiting for s25 ultra or hope huawei get google again 🤣
@Gems and lasers Very very true. Battery life is all that matters now tbh and maybe some innovative features.
Same here, I have the 20 but not gonna upgrade just yet!
Got mine in yesterday. It's a massive difference for me coming from an S10+. Happy about the new GB upgrade. Love how responsive it is and the speakers. When I need a new phone, it will probably be in 5+ years. So far a good investment.
I think Arun deserves a round of applause for 12 years of consistency, dedication & hard work (+Rick Rolling), respect

As someone who's not the biggest tech nerd, your videos always still seem to entertain me somehow. Love how you work to appeal to such a wide audience, regardless of who is watching the video!
20100000
@Jawad Nadeem Kayani just get a USB c to headphone jack
Samsung still have a product is USB-C AKG earbuds which it's good enough already.
@Jawad Nadeem Kayani get real man it's 2023 now
@unmannedmechanic it should be must
As a camera person, it's amazing how this phone is able to get that type of quality off of that small of a sensor with that small of a lens, the AI is just crazy tbh. Also low light too, it seems to do better than an APS-C cmos sensor, which is way bigger than a phone sensor.
These videos are absolutely incredible! Delightful, engaging and enjoyable! This is definitely my favourite CS-tv channel. Also, the quality of these videos is amazing! Can’t imagine the amount of time and effort that goes into each of these videos! Great work!
@Jawad Nadeem Kayani what is it 1990?
no headphone jack lol
Yeah it's called paying people to edit the video
Simp language
I actually kind of like that Samsung hasn't changed their design. Like you said, the similarly to the previous model means that the internal improvements will take the spotlight and be more noticeable. It also prevents people from impulse buying a new phone just because it looks different, because I know there are people out there that do.
@Pixel Man You are beyond delusional. Samsung is literally dying as we speak and Apple just keeps getting more and more costumers.
@i_AmBob Samsung has kept the design the same for the first time in 15+ years. Apple does it every 3/4 years then changes something. Why in any way would you expect Samsung used to hold Samsung feet to the fire for it for doing it this one time? Now if they do it next year and the phones still look the same then yes there will be reasons to be upset. You are making a problem in your head and getting upset because other people aren't agreeing with you.
@i_AmBob Levels of customization on android, vast # of powerful vpn and other non main stream apps. dex, file transfer ease and speed... easily marries with other techs and devices
It's like the upgrade from S6 to S7 or S8 to S9. Small improvements on the outside but major ones inside. And the design do change. Not radically but enough to see the difference.
I've ordered this as my upgrade from the inconsistent S20 Ultra. The software upgrades eventually made the phone a solid choice, but overall it didn't have the wow factor. I'm hoping this iteration is a marked inprovement.
I will keep my S20 ultra till S24 if it have some X factor, right now I am more on camera drone, the S20 ultra still smooth and function well as a phone
A fellow Greek philosopher I too am getting a sky blue s23 ultra the gods would certainly be pleased with this decision 😆
I always thought the S20 Ultra camera was a big let down, even today auto focus is rubbish
Ok one thing I want to point out here is that the phone lowering the highlight and increasing the shadows is really good for real estate photography. Usually, I would take three photos with a normal camera, one under exposed, one just right, and one over exposed. Then, in post I would combine those three photos together in order to get an even lighting. This would mean I have 3x less storage in my CFX type b card, and since I can't do this when I'm filming a video, it's a really nice feature that more phones should have. Also the stabilization is also an added bonus since normally I would need to buy a $500 dollar stabilizer just for it. So overall I'm impressed. Also that 8k is nice too.
Your unboxing is longer, more informative and more in depth then most people's reviews, hats off
Excellent presentation!!
no headphone jack lol
I remember when I first got the galaxy s8 it was my first experience with night shot photos and I was blown away that it could see perfectly in total darkness where I couldn't see a thing, with no flash. Now it's pretty common on phones. I miss the night vision of the s20 ultra and note 10 plus though.
The S8 had night mode? Well I never, I had no idea and I had it for two years 😂
Just preordered mine, going to be a massive upgrade from the S9+ Ive been using for the last 5 years
Upgrading from my s21 ultra 😊
@Sherryl C how is that even possible haha, the s23ultra costs here 1400 euro, the s8+ i bought 5.5 years ago for 800 euro, there is a 100 euro cashback action so that would make the s23u 1300euro if i return my s8+
Just got my 23+ after carrying my 9+ for several years. Best deal was that my old phone gave me a great deal so the new phone only cost $200.
Been using Huawei Mate 20 Pro for 5 years, and changed to S23 Ultra recently. Such a good change, worth it.
Going to upgrade my V50 ThinQ that I also sadly dropped and cracked the screen to this S23U.
still one thing i'm most curious is the battery life, that's the only reason I'm looking at S23 ultra because been using S22 ultra (snapdragon) for almost a year, I still feel that the battery life of S22u is totally mediocre with my daily usage of chatting and social media stuffs (no gaming), and the shutter lag (but still kinda okay). I hope to see a detailed comparison of battery usage test of S23U vs S22U snapdragon like you always did with iphones. Oh and a bit of rant, too bad samsung didn't make fully flat screen for the s23 Ultra, feel like missing or typo-ing some of the touches when on the edges of the screen.
@Abdul Malik which channel is that? can you give link pls? thanks
I saw a test of the battery life and it goes hand to hand with the 14 Pro max only being beaten by a 10min diff
Debating about upgrading from my Samsung S10+ that I'll have had for 4 years come may, to the S23 ultra. My biggest issues is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack ( as I don't like sharing the charging port with earphone port - I have airpods but prefer to use wired earphones), the removal of the micro SD card, as I used that in basically every single Samsung smartphone I've had since 2010... I'm torn, my S10+ still works great I love it and it's definitely the longest I've had a phone for , I love the new one but think I'll struggle to accept the changes.
me too my s10 is incredible even if i upgrade one day, I won't trade in my S10
I am still using a S7 edge. Im still quite happy with it. Sure the new phones got everything higher spec. I would not mind upgrading at some point. But my current phone still works fine. The battery gets me trough the day. It runs CS-tv fine. Photos with daylight look clear enough. Do you need the latest and greatest? To me all the phones look the same from the last 4 years. May aswell wait another 4 years.
Has to be very secretly incredible. Same looks, finally a chip worth the big money and better zoom. Wow incredible.
I checked it out in a store and I like S23 Ultra more than S22 because of less curved screen, improved speakers and better vibrations. Not sure if this along with better camera is worth the difference in price though.
S23 Ultra looks amazing but I'm happy with my S22 ultra. Looking forward to upgrade when the new fold comes out
The camera comparisons this year are gonna be wild
@I'm the Grinch that stole Christmas i had a camera and loved the brain melting sharpness and focus (sony A6300) but the problem was, the best camera you have, is the one you have with you. And i just can't take a camera because usually im out on some kind of bike doing stupid stuff. So taking a camera would be stupid for most of my use cases. Only time i really used the SonyA was on holiday. Do really miss that thing though. Lots of bang for buck
@Ionuț Bagmuianu 8K video looks better on the S23U
I remember the good days when you took pictures with a camera and not a cellular telephone. It's sad, really. There are better cameras out there than cellular telephone cameras. People are stupid.
No, because they are almost identical. The new camera on the main lens is literally only 0.3inches larger, the rest is identical.
@ye I just watched a video comparison and samsung actually wins in my opinion, especially in low light and zoomed
If they cared about the environment, they would include a charger. As you said, people normally don't get a new phone every year so odds are their current charger is also several years old and not able to charge at the same speed as the new phone can handle. So people buy new chargers with more packaging than Samsung would include in their box and many times an additional box and additional packaging material from Amazon. They care about the bottom line and pretend to care about recycling for purely PR purposes.
Writing from an S23 Ultra i can confirm, yes its incredible. I hated my S22U, used for a year and it had UI stutter and performance issues. Gaming was not possible du to the heat and the batterylife was trash. This device, even its just the next gen one, gave me the WOW effect. The speed is insane and gaming is now possible. Btw the SD8 gen 2 on the Samsung phones are overclocked ones
I legit make sure it's your channel before I see any reviews on any phone. That's how phenomenal you are. You out so much into your videos and you genuinely care. I am contemplating whether I should go from s21 ultra to s23 ultra.
I'll be sticking to my S21 ultra for a few more years hopefully. But, it's great to know that there is going to be an incredible upgrade to a still impressive phone down the road.
I switched from s21 ultra today and the jump feels huge.I was pretty happy with my s21 u and didnt expect such a huge jump.
My s21 ultra with the updates, is pretty much the same phone without the spen, bigger speakers, squared edges, a little smaller screen, and possibly the recycled e"?" gorilla glass. Is it worth all the money, time, and more money for a new otterbox. AI in the new chip? I'm not so sure that the AI is any different 🤔 is it? Explain, if so, please.
I've preordered a S23 Ultra, I've always been a iPhone user, from the 4 all the way to the 13 Pro Max, but it's time for a change. The fact that this year's Galaxy has a Snapdragon in the UK, has stronger glass, much faster charging than the iPhone, updated android auto, 4 year minimum software support (has always been a bugbear on android, with slow or non existent updates after a year or two) and at your home repairs from a Samsung technician, I'm sold. After the recent bulls*** of sending my 13 Pro Max to apple for repair, which they then lost and made me wait 90 days before supplying a replacement was the last straw. Can't wait!
@FO0T Really positive. Some initial bugs in the first few days after launch, such as the camera app freezing or Facebook comments refusing to load, but all fixed by software updates in the first week. Since then, it's been great. Battery life was really surprising, it's been the best I've ever seen from Android. Very pleased.
How is it?
What I'm hoping for personally is basically a fold with the specs of the ultra that would be the perfect phone for me
I've loved seeing the self-confidence and personality shine from you over the years, i have been an avid fan for years now ad your content never fails to make my day. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ARUN AND EDITORS :)
Yes. He's the boss. Great content, great show. Powerful delivery, excellent voice for technology and skilled knowledge of products that people want.
Indeed
Same
Compared with my note 20 ultra s23 ultra has a smaller screen and is both heavier, thicker and wider. I think the biggest issue with the ultras is the size that has grown over what is comfortable to use and carry. I want to see a ultra spec at around 200gr max. I won't upgrade this time either cause at 208gr note 20 ultra is already on the limit. 234 gram and with a smaller screen doesn't really appeal.
Bro u were so enthusiastic about this phone. I preordered it and after watching it I’m ready to get my hands on it right now! U literally sold this phone! And thanks for explaining the pixels. Some may not understand how complex and important it is with camera quality upgrades, but u did a great job explaining it.
Loving my new S23 Ultra in every single way. I prayed for improved video quality over my Exynos S21 Ultra which was crippled by it's low bitrate and excess noise and mushy detail dropout, and my prayers were more than answered. Low light and indoor video is now stunning with massively reduced noise and massively increased detail all thanks in no small part to a much increased bitrate. Even at 4K60. Outdoor video now oozes detail and sharpness without oversaturating especially at (now gloriously usable) 8K, and the stabilization is incredible. Thanks for making my dreams come true for once Samsung. It shouldn't have taken so long for your video to be in the IPhone's league though.
I'm on the S21 (regular) but things looks promising. Might go for an S24 next year if things keep progressing like this. Also, 200 mpix is just insane haha. I would like to know how it was doing on slow motion though.
200mp is nice in decent lighting but don't zoom in too far.
Me too I have the S21 but won't get a new one until 2024
I'm using an S20 Note Ultra and am curious about upgrading but I'm still happy with my current phone performance. The S22 performance didn't seem like a huge jump from what I had but this still doesn't seem that big of a jump.
I'm right there with you. I love my note 20 ultra 5g. But this one is supposed to have way faster processors and have better battery life. Only 2 things I really care about. Size is the one thing I dont know if it's the same size or bigger I'm sold
I know with 100 percent certainty that you did not intend this, but this is like 13 minutes of a Samsung marketing dream. I do not think anyone at Samsung could have done a better job marketing the S23 Ultra than you did in this video. In fact, I actually have become very excited to watch full reviews of the S23 Ultra, and I think I'm a bit jealous as an iPhone user, even with a 14 Pro Max. Thank you for a great video Arun and team (including Milo :)
@Byron Garay why would you "need" an iPhone for? I also have a MacBook and a Samsung phone. I genuinely want to understand why did you use the word "need".
Hey dont say that, im actually waiting on my 14 pro max to arrive lol, i used to own many of the late Samsungs, but i bought a Macbook so i pretty much need an iPhone because of it.
Fr tho, I am genuinely thinking of upgrading my phone now.
After debating last night, if I was going to switch from my iPhone 14 pro max. I finally pulled the trigger and placed my pre-order this morning getting the S23 Ultra in Lavender 512 GB for $500 after getting $900 for my trade in (really Awesome Samsung offers the 512gb for same price as the 256gb. Well Apple charges extra). And using my $150 credit I got matching lavender galaxy buds 2, and a lavender silicone case with a wireless dual charger for free!!! Sweet deal!
I'm in two minds about upgrading, I currently have the Oppo find x2 Pro and happy with it for the most part. I'm not sure if I should wait till next year and see what comes out then my concerns with upgrading are: -Battery charging times / how long it holds the charge -Would like to no more about Dex
The amount of time and accuracy Arun puts into researching each video you know he's not baiting or stretching the truth. It's exactly as he says. Bravo
Thank for the video Arun. I have 22 ultra and while I do love some of these new features the main one being no exynos chips anymore. I don't think it's enough change fore to upgrade at that price I have the 512gb version aswell. So 1400 for a phone is a bit too much in this current day. And samsungs trade in deal aren't as good this time they will only drop £499 off
Don't spare us the details! The way you explain details is so simple that everything you explain makes sense! ❤️
I want details that I can remember for more than a day tho.
Yes pls
The production quality of Arun's videos are incredible. His consistency, quality, and production make him one of the greatest tech youtubers on the platform. Great job Arun!
And in my opinion one of the greatest CS-tvrs in general aswell.
Don't read my name..!!
I wasn’t super interested in this phone until you said the social media apps will be about to use the native telephone lens. That is actually so huge step for better live streaming and in app content creation.
Not sure how many of you guys noticed this but the video was actually filmed in 8K!!! Good to see the improving quality of the videos....Hands off man!!!
My phone is 1080p so I didn't lol
The wife and I just upgraded our s21's to the s23ultra 512gb - and quite impressed already. I really like the camera upgrades. Battery life is much improved.
@Hisham Talha Size is pretty much identical to our S21's. Weight seems a bit heavier...but gives the phone a good solid feel.
How do you guys find the size/weight?
This was the best review on the S23 ultra I heard so far. He goes into detail on all the improvements. I would like him to do a speaker test. Samsung has been poor sound. Quilty it does not affect me as I use Bluetooth speaker, but it would be nice not to have to.
All phone companies are changing/upgrading their products less and less for each launch. But is a new model in any predominant brand even necessary? If they focused more on upgrading the software every year and only launching a phone when they reach a groundbreaking level of change and upgrades it would be really nice as well. Should make a video addressing this since you seem to have great impacts on the tech world. Love your videos btw great quality and thought put into each one!!!
@Barrie Moorcroft then folding phone ftw? it's essentially different category of phone
@King S Not everyone is a social media freak
100% agree !!
Like most iPhone, samsungsalways look way similar, pretty mediocre😊🇬🇧
IT IS JUST A MARKETING UPGRADE STRATEGY EVERY PHONE RELEASES!!! LOL
1:06 I always thought that anything higher than 12MP is going to be a bad camera, more pixels to process and less light to each one, it seems that 12 is kind of a sweet spot Basically they should call it S22.5 Super Ultra
I'm going to get that phone just for the 8k. Although it maybe not be 100% 8k, it's still best price for an 8k anything. Usually I have to spend so much in order to get even a decent 6k camera which usually costs 4-5k dollars, which can at best do 4k 30fps. For example, Sony, used a 12 megapixel sensor for their 6,000 dollar camera Sony a7s iii, just so that it would have a better low light performance, because higher megapixel = more grain. And the fact that this small camera is able pull off such quality without any grain is just so mind boggling to me. AI too, normally Canon cameras are known for their dual pixel ai auto focus, which is the best one the market right now. And to hear that this camera has it is really crazy.
The one thing that shocked me the most was the speaker, most definitely. I thought it was at full volume when it was only at 50%. I turned it all the way too 100% and showed a few people, and they said, "Holy sh*t."
I think more and more companies are going on the apple route and aren't making significant changes to the mobiles. Even though s23 ultra is better compared to the previous gen, it's more affordable to buy an s22 ultra instead of the new one because now it's more cheaper and there is not much to lose. It has become almost the same as iPhone 14 pro Max and 13 pro Max ( my opinion only)
Still using my s22 ultra and loving it ,not gonna get the 23 but perhaps maybe the 24 if I can get a good deal like I did with my 22, I like that Samsung kept the design , very proud that Samsung can go toe to toe and in some cases beat Apple.
So, is it worth it to jump from the Samsung S20+ to this? I'm not big on upgrading phones because of a new launch, the only reason I'm considering is because of two lines that have showed up on my otherwise mint condition phone :/ But the fact of not having scard support is a big deal for me
Cant wait for mine to arrive. Traded from s22 ultra i think the internal upgrade is worth the money. Well im not really excited about the camera update, but the cpu, gpu (even better than A16), memory speed, all result in better battery. For $500 its a steal for me 😍
Finally. Hopefully they will go back to the square look from the note's back in the mid 2000's. I've hated the rounded edging, but just love my notes, so I've dealt with the rounded edging. I'm just tired of sliding off the screen while typing and the screen protectors don't stay attached on the edges.
Man I would love to see a smartphone camera review of the S23 and how it compares with it's predecessor and also the iPhone 14 pro max as well..............great content as usual ,Arun👌👌
I upgrade every year to Samsung's newest flagship (Ultra). The slight differences are enough for me. I don't use a case, so a year in, I justify the new version for cleaning up scratches and dents.
Arun, kudos to your team. Each video of yours is an eye-pleasing and informative display of videography, storyboarding, and editing mastery.
Bruh its definitely not eye pleasing. Too much saturation and artificial brightness. Looks cheap and tacky but he's probably trying to make the video looks better on lower end phone displays lol
This guy is no longer a tester but a celebrity and businessman. It's impossible to watch this hand and finger waving.
What people tryna do just to get a like 😂😂😂
The video production is soo awesome as always but Idk why they have stopped using Outro, it gave such a nice satisfactory vibe !!!
@I am alive click off the vid then
i just compared my s21+ with s23+ and s23 ultra and find out that quality on s21+ is actually better when i took on my 64 mp comparing to 50mp on s23+ and even 200mp on 23ultra. I just zoomed max photos and it is really better. See no point to upgrade, except for the battery life - mine lives for maybe 8-10 hours on busy day, comparing to 12-13 hours when it was new even though dark mode is on.
Exactly. Sticking with my s21 Ultra
Will be upgrading from an S20 Ultra I had since launch. Only complaint is that the S23 ultra screen is actually a bit smaller than my S20 Ultra (6.8 inches vs 6.9 inches)
I get mine tomorrow, moving from an Oppo Find X2 Pro, I'm really interested in the better camera zoom (for wildlife, not random objects/buildings - check out Olle Nilsson hands-on review, some of his shots look great) and battery life (as the Oppo is a bit rubbish) and the 45w charging will be the same as my Tab S8+ inc charger, which will be a slight downgrade (Oppo has 65w) but I think it should be ok. Obviously, everything else will be an upgrade, but it had to be done as my Oppo is slowly dying.
I've been using my S7 Edge for almost 7 years. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of feeling upgrading to the S23 would be. It would be like Alexander Graham Bell getting an iPhone 4 in his time. 😩 That won't be happening though, well except it drops from the sky on my lap.
I’m thinking about switching from iPhone 12 to this, I’ve heard some good things about this. And also, the S23 Ultra looks the cleanest of all phones
I've never had an iPhone, but I don't really want to switch for it because of limited customisation, too much simplicity, not good at multitasking, and a lot of their apps being only usable on iOS. I prefer having a phone where I can do a lot more in the way that I want.
Other youtubers didnt make it look like an actual upgrade. You definitely made us know that they were lots of significant upgrades. Thanks Arun
@KFX I know hence I said that they following Apple's footsteps in if ain't broke don't fix it in my original comment
@The One i opened up my pc and there's no green label lmao. I don't even know what that is. Like i said, this guy has mentioned sponsorships in the past. Also, what are u trying to prove lmao? That he is lying? He literally SHOWED u the differences in the new phone
@FallenSach it's cheaper than the S22 Ultra at launch though, so how are they raising the prices?
@Tiyas-kun It's straight up a promotion. He has early access and it has the green label near the title on desktop CS-tv. Deny it a you want. There's a reason this guy had more time to preview the phone Vs other CS-tvrs
I have the iPhone 12 max pro. I’m one of the few that switch between iPhone to android every few years so this will definitely be a massive upgrade for me 😊
I use 22ultra i am so happy about it fast great photos and even with the full memory stocked and full updates the phone runs smoothly, i really appreciate your work and dedication 🙏🙏 but i'll wait for the next generation of Samsung if is gonna be a major change in it
This channel is so damn good in every possible way. With this quality I would see you offer (with subscription) more specialized content for business
Got my S23 Ultra ordered yesterday, can't wait to see how it stacks up, especially coming from an S20 Ultra. And finally the UK get a Snapdragon processor😁👌🏾
Lower resolution was always supposed to give better picture quality because it all depends on amount of light per pixel. Huawei tried this with big pixels and was hurt by media. It was always true that 12MP was ideal for selfie.
If this happens with the S23 I secretly expect them to go with the big surprise on the Flip/Fold lineup. Seeing other companies like Oppo making a bigger outside screen, imagine the combination of Snapdragon gen 2 and a bigger screen on the flip!
@DENVEROUTDOORMAN 🙂 flip series is just a part of garbage
The body design feels like a copy of sony Xperia xA1 series
@DENVEROUTDOORMAN If Samsung stops putting their money on all the advertisements, then the folds and flips will be much cheaper. But then, this holds true for any product from big brand
FLOP and Fold are way overpriced way too fragile and too lacking
@Stefanus Rianto that is probably because folds are still not dust resistance.
S23 once the tweaking and updating is done with color balance and saturation is gonna be WOW!
Does the S23 iteration come with more pre-installed bloatware? Also: without a bundled charger, there's a chance you rely on a charger that maybe doesn't charge at the phone's full potential. Others could be using third-party chargers which in general isn't recommended/adviced by manufacturers.
Every single video of this guy is so rich in details and not focused towards tech geniuses. I love this channel ❤️
In USA and Canada they kept the basic storage prices. Which means you get 256 GB of S23 ULTRA with the same price you paid to get 128GB S22 ULTRA last year. And if you preorder you get 512 GB of the price of 256 GB. Pretty awesome.
Watching on my Infinix HOT 20S
I have Note 20 Ultra, which I bought as a pre-order when it came out, and it's still 100% like the day I bought it, no lag, no battery degradation, and no crashing or anything like that. And I haven't reset it from the day I got it ;) I've been waiting for Samsung to bring out an Ultra version of the Fold, i want the S version camera in a the Fold format with an intigrated S pen.
@Richard Lansing good choice👍
@Eggert Snorri Ólafsson nokia 1011 was legendary, i still have nokia n95 and in 2008 all my friends and classmates were crazy about that phone, in 2008 that phone was like having an airplane in your pocket😄
@Martin Cowling I will :) I still have almost all phones I've owned since forever 😅 And most of them still "work" 😉 I don't have my first GSM phone though, Nokia 1011, I really wish I had that one.
Keep your Note20 Ultra while it still great, as not much different as its the Memory, Ram, and it still has that king of the SD card as these new ones want you to sign up to cloud, Notes will still be king as it's lie another phone in a different body,
@Mark Presto i bought my note20 ultra in 2020, never put on battery saver thats weaknes more your battery, i almost never charged the battery at full percentage (100%) thats even more bad for battery just(85%), still today with one charge mine goes fully day
For the 200 mp camera testing, can you please test and share if there is focus issue while taking closeup shots of documents for the purpose of scanning. I have Moto G 30 Ultra with 200 mp camera where document scanning is impossible, one reason I found out was that such high resolution lens has different focal length which Motorola has not optimized. Would be helpful to hear your views on the same
I totally agree with what you said about keeping the design the same because it doesn't need changing yet for people upgrading from older devices, I've been using my Note 10+ since it was first released, and even now the phone is in top condition, the only reason I'm upgrading is because of the cameras! (Here in Korea, the ultra line are basically know as THE concert camera, and being a huge K-Pop stan, that and storage is the most important thing for me ^^;;) We're definitely in an age where phones last years now, my Note 10+ is the first phone I've kept for more than a year, actually renewing my contract twice, and I plan to go for a 3 year contract with my Ultra 23 from the get-go! As content creator, the video upgrade is also exciting, I have always get a separate vlog camera on hand for filming, even if it's just shorts, and I've only ever used my phone for shooting when speed was a necessity (ie how quick I could get a video going in the moment), but having the ability to shoot quality video even at just 2K or 4K would be a massive win considering how old my current phone is! This video definitely helped level my expectations for the new phone but also confirm that it would be a great device for the reasons I needed it! Thank you for another dope video!
Is it just me ?! Or has the camera gotten better with one ui 5.1 update in the s22u? Can u do a side by side with the 23u after updating?
The iphone is year after year almost identical and no one is complaining. I think when the smartfone maker gets to the point where the design is great, they dont have to change it, and imo the galaxy is, same as for iphone. Then why change it, both good looking, feels great and premium in hand. For me it's an advantage. Great video as always. Cheers. 😉👍
Last year I watched your excited review for S22Ultra and I buy it. That was my biggest mistake in my life. The camera is terrible, but you presented it superbly. There is no user experience, and they have been updating the interface for 10 years. Never Samsung again
"If it's not broken, don't fix it." I think Samsung took this quote to the heart, for the design.
@Alan are you kidding moto edge 30 ultra with 4400mah battery defeat 14 plus so it mean android defeat apple in battery with Same mah
@muzammil I said except for ones with huge batteries, and the motorolla is worse than even other Android phones in the market in so many categories that it doesn't even matter
@Random guy Like I said, it's not the amount of design changes that matters, but the design itself, which the iPhone got right.
@Random guy I assure you that no big company would keep such a design if no one liked it.
I simply love your videos and explaination of different things. I can imagine the thought process and hardwork going into each of your videos to deep granularity. Thankyou and Gratitude.
Tbh, Samsung mostly upgrades the imperfect from previous gen, I have S22 Ultra, they've upgraded small things what they had from 21 and 20 series which my parents own, even in S22 Ultra the main huge change was that they combined note series to S series, besides that it was same upgrades as now better camera and integration with social media apps. However, I feel like this time Samsung has gone for more of an appeal to new generation by making it “Environmental friendly” and aiming to improve video I suspect mainly TikTok & youtube which has all the hype with Gen Z and Gen Y. Also many content creates have ditched using DSLR and use phone for ease of access and almost just as good quality as expensive dslrs It's almost if they're trying to win over newer gen, and benefit in the future. Idk maybe I'm thinking into it hahahah
Upgrading from the phantom white S21 to the Cream S23 Ultra. Can't wait to see what changes they have made when my pre order arrives.
Now that they have added the 200MP camera to the Ultra series, do you think next year they will add the 108MP camera to the regular and plus phones?
Question I have is are they going to increase the storage? I understand that the ssd is faster than an micro SD, but I'm currently sticking with my note 10+ because in addition to the 256gb I have a 1tb microsd... I WAS going to upgrade to s22 1tb but those seem to be harder to find than a bloody unicorn
Samsung offer 1TB s23 pros if you order direcrly from them.
So, I'm sticking with my s22 ultra for 2 more years. I don't think the upgrade is that significant but it's cool nonetheless. For those getting this phone, I hope you enjoy it cause it's pretty cool.
I am still sticking with an s10e until its unusable🥱🥱
no headphone jack lol
Of course it's not, the S22 is only a year old
Yeah, I don't see enough of a difference between the phones. The biggest thing is the CPU. Don't much care for the space zoom because it's practically useless without a tripod. Storage has never been an issue for me, nor has the battery life. I'll wait until the S25 Ultra
I'm sticking with the s21 ultra haha
I feel called out because I upgrade every year. The trade-in value is insane on Samsung flagships and I feel like the one device I'm on every day and more often than anything else should always be the latest and greatest.
True. The value degrades alot every year after the first year the phones out. You can get the brand new model fairly cheap every year by doing what your doing. For me though I just can't justify it even if I can get the new one for like 400 it's still alot of money for a minor upgrade.
Simple question answer is for most of its update is thanks to us people helping them out with small feed backs from u.i to system software to even button touch sensation. 😀 and that's since the note 20 so imagine for the next update model in 2030. Now that's gonna be some game changer in those years to come. I'm a fan.
Its really good info, but I am personally more interested how well it handles constant application usage and how long it lasts with and without it
So glad older models are strong. Don't feel the need to upgrade. S21/$290 and s20 ultra $260 on Amazon. I've always hated the selfie hole. But feel ok about it since I don't pay 1k anymore for these flagships.
I've owned the Apple 14 pro and 22 ultra (love the different features on both) but Samsung has really taken my heart! whenever I'm with Apple I do miss the stunning display & photography on the sammy, no doubt will end up giving the 23 a good try although I reckon if you own a 22 ultra it just isn't worth the upgrade unless they've significantly improved the battery or camera?
Your simplified breakdown of the technology, makes even the simplest of folk understand all the tech. Much appreciated.
I'm confused, someone please help me. Which one should I pick as my daily driver? 14ProMax vs 23Ultra.. I have some issues with ios interface like using different browser, multitasking, pip etc but when it comes to camera (as normal use, not zoom) iPhone beats everyone. Previously I used 13Pro max but for I had to keep another android for different uses. Now I'm using 22 Ultra but not satisfied with the camera..
I've been thinking to upgrade to S23+ or S23U from O6T. Is it worth to put more money to ultra version, or s23+ or Pixel 7 pro or not?
I've got another year to go on my s22u. Whilst I recognise the s23u is the better phone, I'm glad it isnt massively better or I'd be trading my 22 in which doesn't make financial sense for me at the moment 😁
6:35 The most eco friendly thing todo is just make parts avaliable so people can repair easily instead of throwing out perfectly good phones.
It will be very interesting how the 200mp at 50mp pixel binning stacks up against the old 108mp one.
yes
Yes
This is why I still love my xiaomi 10t pro. It can record videos up to 8k in 30fps. A really flagship phone killer indeed
When I used the front facing camera and put it on uhd but flipped the cam around to the back camera and realized it goes to 8k I was mind blown
I had the note 20 and traded in for the s22 ultra, but I find the s22 ultra seems slower/ less responsive, longer loading and Internet seems slower even in 5g, but my note 20 seemed faster on 4g. plus I've only had the phone 6 months and it dosent charge properly, I have to monitor the charging because it just stops charging and have to mess about with the connector in the charging port, what can I do to get the best out of this phone?
