  • Does anyone remember Movie Gallery?

  • Netflix suck

  • Sure do miss Blockbuster.

  • Theres a second one in redmond 30 min away and yet they dont know that

  • still got the old membership card from 2010. Will it work at this store?

  • Ok 10 years ago i went into a liquor store and got carded. So i put my car keys on the counter and i still had a blockbuster membership card on my key chain. The cashier saw my blockbuster card and said nevermind.

  • Had Blockbuster only purchased netflix in early 2000’s.

  • If only blockbuster accepted Netflix's deal they didn't have to go through this.

  • Should be made a world heritage site.

  • There was something special about blockbuster.

  • Our old Blockbuster's a Mexican Restaurant. Surreal the first time I went in there.

  • Renting movies from a rental store is a different experience. There will be public funding if the store is under threat of closing.

  • Y’all c

  • A 15yr old discovering why Blockbuster was dope af

  • I remember renting the jaws game for ps2 back in the day...brings a tear to my eye

  • We can immortalize it by preserving it as a historical monument for its significant cultural importance...protected by United States of America per Antiquities Act of 1906.

  • Only 90s kids remember how great blockbuster was those kids born in 2000 to 2007 only remember the tail end when they closing lol

  • Why do they always compare Netflix to blockbuster , it doesn’t have new movies , blockbuster would thrive today if they didn’t blow up as fast as last night

  • “Be kind, please rewind” 🤘

  • It was only 10 years ago blockbuster was allover the place

  • Miss the old times ,, just to think it'll never be the same again

  • Hard pass

  • It’s sure a miracle that 1 blockbuster store remains today!

  • Thanks to Netflix , canon cameras thanks to smartphones, MySpace thanks to Facebook, blackberry thanks for iOS and Android , ever think have a beginning and end

  • why blockbuster failed was they only rented there stores they didnt own the stores they where renting in but family video did and do own there own stores and have all the good movies ! and get this family video is still open they have chain stores !!!! not just one

  • who you gonna call? block buster!

  • My god I remember going during the summer as a kid to get a special tote bag and renting movies. I used to love blockbuster

  • I remember going into blockbuster with my mom and just hang in there for hours

  • The museum idea isn’t bad if worse comes to worse then people can travel across country to see what a blockbuster was like. If they are still open and want to make big profits me from Pennsylvania and many others across the country would love if they sell the Blockbuster popcorn online that stuff was so good

  • Guernsey had the most profitable store in the U.K when it closed. The place was always busy. It used to be only one of two places you could play video games too. Internet was slow at the time and it was a nice place to go but very small. I used to rent PlayStation games from them.

  • Turn it to a Museum Sounds Sad 😅

  • VHS tapes and movies in the 80s were the best!

  • Please for the love of God keep this last one alive. It should be a historical landmark

  • Definitely becoming a museum n tourist attraction, it only a matter of time...

  • 1:15 your welcome

  • Crazy how the country goes bazerk over something so small and simple, and one day it just becomes history. Someday our Smart Phones and game systems will be laughed at and part of history... So weird.

  • I miss Blockbuster.

  • Blockbuster Video is the best and Netflix sucks

  • Blockbuster Video was a part of my younger days and my teen days. As a young gamer kid I would go to my local Blockbuster Video store and pick out a game. One summer I had an unlimited rental pass for a month and every day that month I'd be renting out a video game. I'd pick it up, go home, play it, come back the next day and get another one. Repeat. It was some great times. Now we have GameFly.

  • Wait so they have a bigger selection of Movies 🎥 then Bestbuy & cheaper prices so then why doesn’t Blockbuster have more stores 🏬 cause I need it immediately

  • -"This one looks like its from the 90s..." -"Oh they absolutely are"

  • why would you go rent you have to stay to return it to the store 😂

  • There's more Blockbusters left than Toys R Us's think about that..

  • All these kids born in the 2000's didn't know

    • I knew Blockbuster (even though I was born in 2007)

  • I lost my job due to the local city government in Vicksburg, Mississippi by replacing our very successful store due to their love of money by replacing us with a very expensive sandwich restaurant. A single sandwich at this restaurant is $10 before any sales tax or any other food.

  • As you see before you the last of it's kind a female in search for a Male

  • Man! Block buster swears by there dvds! No blu day or 4K movies lol I do miss blockbuster though. Getting a gum ball every time I left.

  • It’s like going to a zoo to see an animal that is almost extinct. Dayum how times have changed

  • I remember renting the Terminator 2 with my dad but ended in adult section.

  • Actually if it ever dose go down it would make a perfect museum. Just leave everything the way it is and shut the door.

  • I Can Run The Store Like Those Guys Did, And Everyone Will Like All Of The Stores Again, What Do You Think?

  • There's actually use to be one here in Pharr after this was made, but sadly it was recently closed.

  • I hate streaming because I hate subscribing and paying a fee.

  • Not a fan of what movies Netflix others. Blockbuster was my one of my childhood places to visit as well as Krispy Kreme, Toys R Us, Friendlys, and Rainforest Cafe.

  • bring block buster back or have Netflix open up a video store

  • Share your memories of Blockbuster and/or Hollywood Video, go

  • I live there!!!

  • What is block busters....

  • Use your VHS VHS videorecorder and blank VHS tapes to get even with the news media

  • Be kind rewind

  • I live here in bend Oregon I never knew how famous we got just from one store I thought we were just a unknown town

  • I was just by that particular store last weekend. It's a pretty good size. I wouldn't exactly call it a "must see destination."

  • i am 13 years old, my blockbuster closed 4 years ago. every day ever night i would go there cause its cool. blockbuster will be missed

  • Where will the last Wal-Mart be???? NUFF SAID.

  • Blockbuster was more than just a rental place for movies. It was a place of gathering, a place where you can catch up with friends on a Friday night. Where you'd take your date and waste time "looking" for a movie but in reality, you were just there walking around looking for something interesting only to leave with out nothing. A place where families would meet up and gossip.

  • The government needs to ban streaming, shut down Netflix, and force the American public back to Blockbuster and other movie rental stores. You want to watch a movie? Either go to the cinema, wait for it to air on tv, or either buy or rent a physical copy.

  • Millennials have Netflix, amazon prime Video, Sling TV, Hulu, CS-tv Live TV, artificial intelligence, I Pads, I Phones, Self service kiosks, spotify, Apple Music, etc. while my generation had blockbuster video, Hollywood video, tower records, Texas instrument, IBM, Atari 2600, saga genesis, and Nintendo.

  • Technology, robots, artificial intelligence, computers will make capitalism extinct.

  • Pinche Netflix ojalá y no hubieras nacido >:v

  • I find it funny how now everyone is looking back at Blockbuster with nostalgia. When Blockbuster came on the scene it was pretty much viewed as a villain. Yeah people went there but it was based on availability of new releases. People looked at Blockbuster the way Walmart is looked at today. Blockbuster came and bulldozed all the mom and pop stores, charged more, were ruthless with their late fees and if you didn’t like it had very few other options

  • I might blockbuster I remember in Miami shores in 2013 and 2014

  • Hey, I live where that blockbuster is, bend oregon

  • Amanzing, the real BE KIND REWIND

  • Its scary how the digital age changed the face of renting movies forever... :( But the memories I has of actually going into a Blockbuster, renting a video hoping t hey would have some copies left, the smell of the stores popcorn or candy like a movie theater, etc. You wont get something like that anymore...

  • Hehe, I live in Bend OR. ;)

  • Blockbusters death was is own fault they could have owned Netflix but thought streaming was a trend.

  • They used for Capitan marvel

  • The experience you don’t get anymore when buying stuff online. The sad part is seeing how the younger people but that 15year old in the video was on point in how it felt. Read some comments saying that even been in one or others younger then 19 saying they’ve been in one. People really need to tell these companies to stop this easy purchase mentality. It’s obvious already that younger people have social issues as it is in that video some of theses kids seem like they didn’t even want to leave the house.

  • Now I want to fly there just to visit 😭 I miss blockbuster so much

  • Blockbuster should've became an FYE in the 2000's.

  • The same thing probably gonna happen to GameStop in 2030

  • I met my bm there when I worked there

  • 2:53 can be proud of it, but it is probably the exact reason why blockbuster died out.

  • Libraries are Next

  • ;-;)

  • Blockbuster

  • Do I find it sad that so many physical stores have been shutting down? No, not all. It’s more convenient to shop and rent online because you have a better chance of finding what you’re looking for and don’t need to remember to return whatever you have rented. Rentals themselves can manage to automatically expire online.

  • We need a gofundme for this store so that it never closes lol it's a true historic site.

  • Anyone else remember Movie Gallery?

  • theres one in: port orange FL, Anchorage AK, and north pole AK

  • 1:28 That Girl in the Green Shirt is SUPER CUTE

  • There are 8 block buster

  • “Best Selection” on the window display, how about “Only Selection”

  • My grandparents live in Bend

  • It's sad and regrettable. But Blockbuster had the opportunity to buy Netflix and if it had been like that, today they would continue to be operative all over the world.

  • for someone like me who lived thru the blockbuster era, this isn't a history lesson. LOL

  • Remember seeing NFS Carbon at blockbuster

  • The kid with the Nike Football shirt is ugly
