We made CS-tv revert its policy, restoring lots of my content. Thank you so much everyone The Original Video & Issue: • CS-tv is Restri... ~Twitch Channel: www.twitch.tv/rtgame ~Twitter: RTGameCrowd
Now this, this is a CS-tv moment Thanks so much everyone for the support for me during my content issues. This change would not have happened it people didn't share my issues, and actively call out CS-tv for what they were doing. Here's hoping we can get CS-tv to make conditions better for creators from here on out
6:20 is the equivalent of a teacher saying, “I want you to learn and figure it out on your own so you learn it better.” But then failing you and not letting you redo the assignment.
It’s like GCSEs in the UK, once you’ve done the test you can either get the marked test back to see what’s wrong with it, OR get it re-marked. Not both.
@Alphoric It's a step in the right direction for now, now to put pressure on them for changing videos to be up to policy and not flagging old videos in new policies
@Kajanda that’s the problem though you want people to have to censor their older content to fit within CS-tv’s narrative CS-tvrs should be able to say whatever they want even advertisers don’t care that’s why people still get sponsors and if CS-tv doesn’t want people to go to the god awful TikTok they should listen to creators more and let them do what they want
@Alphoric reread my statement, I said push for them not to apply new policies to old videos. CS-tvrs should get away with alot more than they do now, but they shouldn't be able to say whatever they want eithe
@Kajanda if a CS-tvr says something that you don't like, then dislike the video and move on with your day. There is no reason to censor channels. These people are simply trying to "broadcast themselves", they don't want to be a mouthpiece for the narrative norm.
A temporary solution to the editing problem is taking the original video, copying it, and then putting the copy onto CS-tv. You can then have the copy evaluated to find the problem, and put all of the changes into the original video. I don't have any experience on the creator side of CS-tv, so I have know idea if there is any way to actually do this. Just something I thought up while watching the video that I thought might be helpful.
The issue with that is these policies aren't applied evenly. The copy might never get flagged even if the original was. Or it could get flagged, evaluated, and reinstated where the original isn't. I've seen this happen so often.
The problem with that idea is the first impressions the copy got (views, clicks, likes etc) would be gone. Viewers would have to be asked to re-watch the second video when they probably already watched the first. Sure, fans will, but a good chunk of those first viewers won't.
I appreciate Daniel so much - he was such a CS-tv for pulling this off and getting CS-tv to stop being a CS-tv and pull its CS-tv together. Congrats, Daniel!
I'm so happy that the Elden Ring video was monetized again, I literally watched it three hours ago. Thank you for creating entertaining content Dan, keep it going.
As bad as the policy is on old videos regarding swearing, it's absolutely a huge win for people going forward. I've definitely seen a lot of creators mention they're purposefully trying to swear less or avoid saying swear words in a screenshot because they were so unclear on the policy. It's good to know going forward people will be more aware of the guidelines and be able to swear more freely with less paranoia about getting demonetized.
So so so pleased for you Dan!! (and of course other creators too) You put so much effort into your videos and what they were doing was completely outrageous!
Words cannot describe just how happy I am for you and other creators. There's still so much that needs fixing, but this is such a big step, and I am so proud of you and this community for all the effort made.
This is amazing progress, RT. It’s still not the best, but it’s a step in the right direction. Let’s hope CS-tv will come up with a solution soon. I’m really happy for you though❤
so much still needs to be changed, but i’m so glad your videos got restored!! also, congrats on getting on the trending page! i’m glad more people are getting to see this
Agreed. Not only is it hilarious, but when CS-tv inevitably youtubes their guidelines again (because all they can do is panic react, never plan) he'll be completely prepared to deal with their youtube by continuing to censor with "CS-tv".
@no 64 And why exactly do you start harassing him because of that now? Nobody asked for the opinion of the actual comment writer either so where is your point? It is his personal opinion that he would rather hear normal swear words instead of "CS-tv". And if you ask for MY OPINION i couldn't care less if we continue using "CS-tv" as substitute or regular swear words. Let people have their opinions jeez.
Attorney tom was using youtube in the way you described in that one video 😂. I love that the community caused this change. I am so proud of this change we've caused ❤
this is absolutely amazing, the way you speak and get the points across definitely helped in this situation, i know it was hard to stay mature and calm while your livelyhood was being taken away. you have helped the whole platform. youtube moment
Incredible work on behalf of everybody on this platform. Glad to see your issues will be generally resolved in future, though I hope we can get second reviews next.
You’re easily one of the most important creators on CS-tv. Genuinely helping you fellow creators by doing this. Challenging CS-tv with charm and grace.
Glad to know the situation has gotten at least a little bit better I hope it continues to improve throughout the year Thank you for your many hours of joy you have given me ❤
@Sp00pyWhiskers :} hmmmm… I don’t know how the programming works, but the chicken starting in C2 could be followed with A1 or A3. If I’ve simulated it right, and assuming it chose a square at random from there, you’d have better than chance odds of winning from that point. I think A2, B2, B3, and the opposite C-square (i.e., C3 if we choose A1) by the chicken all lead to player wins, while the matching C-square (C1 if we choose A1) is the only winning move for the chicken. That’s assuming the player plays optimally from that point on, too.
@FyreStryder I'm sure it's programed to force the player ether to lose or stalemate, because the in game solution is to use chicken feed to make the chicken choose squares you want it to choose.
@TheKenyonSquad Yeah, that wouldn’t surprise me. What does surprise me, then, is that it chooses the *least* optimal starting square… maybe it’s to make you think there’s a chance? Interesting stuff at 0440 on a sleepless night xD
As soon as we got to the halfway point in the vid I said, out loud, "This is still an issue?!?!" I'm shocked at how thick-skulled CS-tv is as a company.
Legit got up and danced for this news man. Congrats Dan. And to everyone else who was unfairly impacted by the rules that have since been refined. Hats off to all fellow supporters too. Time for RT comeback tour woooo
I've been watching your videos so much that every time you said "CS-tv" I instinctively thought you were blurting a swear. I genuinely think you should continue to do so in further videos just out of safety and hilarity!
I love him blurring swears with "CS-tv" lol a channel I follow did that for a bit awhile back before they decided they didn't care about what CS-tv thought, although they'd just use random everyday words instead of "CS-tv"
I thought the same thing! It truly shows how language is a construct and how stupid it is for CS-tv to make a witch hunt out of something so maleable as swear words. Truly a CS-tv moment in CS-tv history
Honestly this censorship of swearwords actually made me realize how "much" RT swears. Before that, I kinda thought he barely ever did, and I don't think he does it too much, or that it's shocking, I'm not a youtube, but it forced me to HEAR that he does, it made me focus on it. So that was kinda dumb...
This is a step in a longer fight, but it is still a big one. We got them to admit they were wrong and we can do it again! Thank you for proving this fight possible!
on an additional note; i think if youtube were to sit down and try to explain the policies (like they did with the recent change) and why they're in place would help everyone, too. they own a platform that spreads all kinds of information around the world; letting people continue as things should be, not as they are. things change, people do too. don't punish the people that built your platform to the level it is, and then say 'tuff' to them when they try to solve the issues you've set before them. I'm in total agreement with RT.
Thank YOU, Daniel, for being so vocal about the issue. I do hope that this initial change leads to the next one, of being able to edit and re-appeal a video properly.
I would like to note that CS-tvs official stance on their main video sharing platform is that its still not for children (and parents need to monitor their kids use) and yet videos have to be appropriate for children in order for you to get total monetization.
Right? It's lunacy. "Hello grown adults making content for other grown adults, your content has to be appropriate for children so we can push ads directly into their young, impressionable, developing little minds -- though please remember this platform is not for children!" is such a youtube take. It's insidious how much of the internet is curtailed and limited because of the spectre of fictional child viewership. CS-tv Kids literally already exists, to boot -- why not keep the kid gloves on that platform and let adults have a smidgen, an iota, an atom of leeway to make the content they actually want to make without having to worry about a fictional child that, under youtube's own policies, shouldn't be viewing that content in the first place? (I know the answer is because youtube is an ads delivery network first and a content creation platform second, but that doesn't make it any less aggravating.)
The reason for this is because a few years ago, CS-tv had the bright to show off how many people watch at what age group, the majority having been children from 12-17, which is why the government stepped in and also why advertisers kept pushing for kid friendly content BECAUSE majority of users are so young
hell yeah!! we youtubed all over those youtubes and look how much we did :) so glad there’s been improvement, here’s to continuing to push for better policy!
If it wasn’t people like Moist Critical, Mutahar, Pyrocynical and many others big content creator and streamers spreading the message around, these changes would probably still be around. *Thanks for being such a great CS-tv!*
@stormcloudsabound To be fair, RTGame was the canary in the coal mine, he could only send the message that the mine was unsafe so far, from their it was up to others to pick up the message and carry on. Everyone really deserves their share in the credit. RT for lighting the beacon, his community for carrying the warning to others so that they could light their own beacons, and those other CS-tvrs who saw RT's message and lit their own beacons.
They called him the policy change king back in college. But seriously Everyone working to fix this is incredible, Dan and the other creators working on this, truly CS-tv of them
LETS GOOOOOO THIS IS WHAT I CALL A CS-tv MOMENT Don't get me wrong I know there's still lots of issues but hey, this is certainly a step in the right direction, let's just hope it keeps going
I never once expected a CS-tvr to be able to influence CS-tv policy. But of all the people to do it it's awsome to see that you were the one leading the charge and brining massive change to the community!
Markiplier and Jacksepticeye have done a couple videos throughout the years calling out CS-tv's bull policies. I want to say some animation channels have been able to as well. Though it's probably still only able to be counted on 1, maybe 2 hands of all the times a CS-tvr has been able to influence stuff
Appreciate u as always brother I will never forget what u did to those lads in the maze that 1 time but we need people like you to keep the world together as we know it
Wow, so glad for you Dan that things are starting to look up! Hopefully the people at youtube will continue to use their brains and fix their messed up system. I wish you continued luck on getting your content restored!
Congratulations, RT! I'm glad to hear that you're able to benefit from many of your older videos, again. I have several swear-heavy creators that I follow, so this overturn of rules has helped a lot of creators that I enjoy watching and supporting! It's always so frustrating trying to determine whether or not I should even bother letting commercials run, because if I'm getting ads on a video that's been demonitized... why even bother allowing it to run? However, as a very poor person, I often find allowing ads to play to be the only way I know of that I, personally, can put a few cents into a creator's pocket... and that sucks. It sucks because 1.) I have no way of knowing if a video is monetized or not, as a viewer, and 2.) It's probably only ever going to support a creator by a few cents here and there.
I understand that they probably don’t want people sending their videos for appeal a whole mess of times but in that case I think the least they could do is inform you what the offending problem is when the video is flagged. Then creators have the chance to fix it and still only need to send it in for review once it’s a win/win
Honestly, even if it was one review only this would work. The main issue is we are only told what's wrong AFTER submitting a video. At which point it's too late to change anything
@RTGame I think for this to work long-term, the review counter needs to be reset after policy changes too. If CS-tv changed their policy to mean a video that you successfully edited & had re-reviewed in the past is now no longer compliant, then even if they tell you what's wrong you have no recourse. You need to be able to request a re-review after a policy change so new edits can be evaluated.
@Dusk Banks or better yet, do what they do on TV, I've seen older shows that where made before modern beliefs & standards and they still air as long as they begin with a warning stating "this content was made before modern policies", problem solved!
@Dusk Banks I believe it could be once for each time a video is flagged. For example, a video has violated Policy A, and has been flagged as such. The creator now can edit the video to follow Policy A, and submit it for review. A while later, Policy B comes out, and the same video is now violating Policy B. The video has been flagged again, and now the creator has another chance to edit and submit it.
What had gotten me was that for a time last year or so there were actual ads on CS-tv that had swearing in them (uncensored) during this policy, was one of the craziest things that they had limited the creators and forgot about the advertisements
Congrats RT on the policy change hopefully CS-tv will allow you and other content creators to edit their content to allow them to be monetized. Best of luck on future videos
There's actually so much symbolic subtlety here, you're spot on. I couldn't help noticing that he's even using different weapons, the long barrel of a sniper rifle in Solitary Clone and a single handed pistol in The Outpost...good vid!
Remember how during the first week where the new cryptobro ceo took over, they removed the “skip ad” and replaced it with “next ad”? They changed it back within a week. Glad you finally got one small victory RT, you earned it
Your request is extremely reasonable and simple. Its in the best interest of everyone, including CS-tv itself. I really hope someone over there sees this, because once they do, its impossible to reject.
honestly, this also speaks really good on the new head of CS-tv as well and really brings hope that the site is starting to move back in a creator friendly direction

It’s like GCSEs in the UK, once you’ve done the test you can either get the marked test back to see what’s wrong with it, OR get it re-marked. Not both.
The entire CS-tv swearing policy change, start to end, is the exact definition of a CS-tv moment
It’s a loss for content creators the policy shouldn’t exist at all an altered policy won’t help when CS-tv change it again in future

CS-tv has been such a CS-tv lately, it's nice to finally see some positive progress. Let's keep this going, everyone!

Daniel has turned CS-tv from a CS-tv to a CS-tv, truly inspiring
youtube is still a youtube, just slightly less so
CS-tv is being a youtube, which results in CS-tv being less of a youtube, which makes them more of a youtube. Truly a youtube moment.
sorry, just CS-tv decided to be a youtube again and sent my reply 9 times
Best comment
Truly an unexpected outcome. I rate it a CS-tv/CS-tv.
RTGame without his cursing is an odd feelings and I honestly miss it. It’s good to see it back!
ok
We did it! Even if we only won the smaller piece of the medal for now, I say this a huge win for our community here on CS-tv!
Probably not it’s CS-tv we’re talking about all their policy changes and policy implementations have backfired for the creators
@Alphoric Might as well find loop holes and troll and confuse the hell out of them just so they can do something.
Even when he says CS-tv normally now I flinch a little. It literally feels like a swear word now
A temporary solution to the editing problem is taking the original video, copying it, and then putting the copy onto CS-tv.
Soo he could just copy the videos with the edits with a slight different title, delete the old videos, and get them back that way?
The problem with that idea is the first impressions the copy got (views, clicks, likes etc) would be gone. Viewers would have to be asked to re-watch the second video when they probably already watched the first. Sure, fans will, but a good chunk of those first viewers won't.
@Kiyoshia it's better than nothing, at least.
CS-tv also tends to get cagey when you upload duplicates, at least in my experience, but otherwise that's a solid idea
Dan is one step closer to become the leader of the first youtubers union, what a time to be alive
This man single-handedly destroyed the metaverse and changed the minds of a complete CS-tv. He is becoming too powerful.
He's beginning to believe
And he shall become even more powerful before he leaves
Correction: He's not powerful enough
He changed their hearts…
I appreciate Daniel so much - he was such a CS-tv for pulling this off and getting CS-tv to stop being a CS-tv and pull its CS-tv together. Congrats, Daniel!
Everyone just share the video where you can and spread the word, the more we get people to talk about this the more it's likely to make change happen
I'm so happy that the Elden Ring video was monetized again, I literally watched it three hours ago. Thank you for creating entertaining content Dan, keep it going.

I really hope that we keep using "youtube" as a slang despite the positive changes. It's literally one of the most youtube ideas someone ever had

Such a CS-tv CS-tvr. The only one I watch on CS-tv for his CS-tv moments. Glad to see him making big strides on the CS-tv platform

CS-tv is usually a huge CS-tv, but it's good to see them actually being a CS-tv for a change
One small step for an Irish man, one giant leap for all content creators.
Irish YouTubian Army
Arousing
It took this much to FORCE them to use logic! We may lose to their stupidity this time. But congrats to all of us, for we made a significant change.
People don't realize how much power we have if we just stand up together.
After CS-tv made such a CS-tv decision, they finally made a CS-tv change to make CS-tv more CS-tv. What a CS-tv moment
this is really a CS-tv moment for history
Dude is taking the number 1 spot in the Irish youtuber board purely because he actually got CS-tv to change
The footage of Gromit loosing a game of rigged tic tac toe in the background for a portion of this intentional or not is metaphorically hilarious

Here’s to hoping your impact on the system doesn’t stop here. You’re changing the game for everyone ❤
Legit got up and danced for this news man. Congrats Dan. And to everyone else who was unfairly impacted by the rules that have since been refined. Hats off to all fellow supporters too. Time for RT comeback tour woooo

This is a certified CS-tv moment for CS-tv. Daniel was a real CS-tv with this video, and finally transformed CS-tv to be less of CS-tv!
So glad to see improvement for once! Hopefully we can get the appeal policy changed too.

Here’s hoping CS-tv corporate gets CS-tvd. Frickin CS-tvs these days
@benjiross1 yea CS-tv has been such a CS-tv, but hears hoping that with this they become more of a CS-tv

that's not how you use the word youtube you youtube
Thank YOU, Daniel, for being so vocal about the issue. I do hope that this initial change leads to the next one, of being able to edit and re-appeal a video properly.
This is a certified CS-tv moment on Dan's part :3
The idea that it's a one shot of getting the video right is absolutely insane.
YEAHHHHH I’m so happy for you, man. We made a difference!
watching these videos makes me feel a bit like a part of world history in a weird little way, it's awesome
I would like to note that CS-tvs official stance on their main video sharing platform is that its still not for children (and parents need to monitor their kids use) and yet videos have to be appropriate for children in order for you to get total monetization.

@Rox Wolf and that still goes for videos you manually mark as not for children
The reason for this is because a few years ago, CS-tv had the bright to show off how many people watch at what age group, the majority having been children from 12-17, which is why the government stepped in and also why advertisers kept pushing for kid friendly content BECAUSE majority of users are so young
@Worse than you think You mean the ones you don't mark as specifically for children.
Dan is such a CS-tv of a man to have fixed such a CS-tv of a CS-tv system.
hell yeah!! we youtubed all over those youtubes and look how much we did :) so glad there’s been improvement, here’s to continuing to push for better policy!
SO happy to hear that! Thanks for all your hard work addressing these issues and showing solutions
Officially this is a CS-tv moment. It's very CS-tv of them to have done this, and they have shown they really are CS-tv.
I'm so glad this happened! I love your videos and I'm glad youtube has begun to look at improving their policies.
If it wasn’t people like Moist Critical, Mutahar, Pyrocynical and many others big content creator and streamers spreading the message around, these changes would probably still be around. *Thanks for being such a great CS-tv!*
Stickmaster, you're one of the most CS-tv members of the community
love how you conveniently left out RT in that list 😂
@stormcloudsabound To be fair, RTGame was the canary in the coal mine, he could only send the message that the mine was unsafe so far, from their it was up to others to pick up the message and carry on. Everyone really deserves their share in the credit. RT for lighting the beacon, his community for carrying the warning to others so that they could light their own beacons, and those other CS-tvrs who saw RT's message and lit their own beacons.
Not giving the man who actually did the effort any credit? Instead you list two youtubers I've never heard of and one overrated "asuh dude" bro
@This is Citrus wtf is up with the vitriol The dude was listing people who talked about RT’s problem, we all know RT started this message
This man single handedly destroyed the metaverse and changed the minds of a complete you tube
Oh my God. This is the most CS-tv thing I have ever seen. Keep up the great work everyone, I think this is going to be a very CS-tv year for us all.
The mad lad actually did it. Truly, a youtube moment.
I never once expected a CS-tvr to be able to influence CS-tv policy. But of all the people to do it it's awsome to see that you were the one leading the charge and brining massive change to the community!
Its so sad that the most influential content creators on the platform have had little to no input on the platform until recently
Appreciate u as always brother I will never forget what u did to those lads in the maze that 1 time but we need people like you to keep the world together as we know it
Good job, Dan. You're the hero we all needed
Wow, so glad for you Dan that things are starting to look up! Hopefully the people at youtube will continue to use their brains and fix their messed up system. I wish you continued luck on getting your content restored!
big thank you to RT for scoring the first youtube union win
You have my FULL support! I hope that this can be changed ASAP.
Remember how during the first week where the new cryptobro ceo took over, they removed the “skip ad” and replaced it with “next ad”? They changed it back within a week. Glad you finally got one small victory RT, you earned it
that sounds kinda similar to what happened to a certain bird app.
Honestly, an entire platform that is only ads seems like a thing some corporate idiots would do.
That was a thing before him, I had it for about 2 months under Susan. They selectively enable it on people's accounts.
It takes a true CS-tv to affect this type of change!
What a CS-tv moment! Let's hope that CS-tv doesn't pull another CS-tv and starts being a bit more CS-tv
Give it a year, CS-tv will just make another policy to screw creators again.
RT I'm so happy for you! Been watching simce the TF2 days and I genuinely wish you all the success in life.
very youtube of you, rtgame!! glad your content is taking a w. that’s such a youtube move from youtube!
At this point, CS-tv’s appeal system is like a Noble Phantasm: it reverses causality to guarantee your video getting demonetized
A weeb of culture I see.
That’s quite the stretch reference 😂
“youtube is like the gae bolg” not the take i expected to see today
There are dozens of us. DOZENS!
I love it when a plan comes together.
Your request is extremely reasonable and simple. Its in the best interest of everyone, including CS-tv itself. I really hope someone over there sees this, because once they do, its impossible to reject.
The celebration will rage on for years to come. Thank you RT
What a Dailymotion turn of events! Viddler to you Daniel!
Now this is truly a legendary youtube moment
Let's gooo, this is such a CS-tv moment
hey. watch the language please
@The Nook be quiet youtube
@The Nook maybe he is using the word as a compliment
While CS-tv is still incredibly broken for creators, I'm glad to hear this big win!! Congrats RT
Let's get this man to the front page lads! We're gonna CS-tv all over CS-tv, because if that ain't CS-tv enough, I don't know what is.
honestly, this also speaks really good on the new head of CS-tv as well and really brings hope that the site is starting to move back in a creator friendly direction
lets all celebrate by watching all of RT's videos again
Thanks for talking about this, I think it’s really important bringing attention to these matters
Asking YT for help first is like letting the horror movie villain know where you are before you figure out their weakness.
Except they immediately lose their weakness as soon as you let them know your location, making it impossible to salvage the situation.
