This shit actually happened to me. I was in a donut shop and this cute girl was working the counter so i asked for her number. She was like "i would, but im only 15". My face went white, and i was like forget i was ever here. Some girls really dont look their age.
And that’s where you went right….if a woman looks like someone in the appropriate age group for you to date (40+ year old guys if she looks 18-20 and even if she IS 18-20, it’s still creepy) there’s nothing wrong with you. Now when you find out she is underage (there are signs like a reluctance or nervousness about talking age, slip ups where they mention things like “my teacher” etc) then if you are disgusted and instantly repulsed by the idea then you’re definitely a good man and you’ll be alright. Now if you find yourself EVEN THINKING, let alone discussing ideas to get with them anyway and not get caught…..you need to either go see a therapist or CHOP it OFF because you’re a predator in the making.

This is hilarious and very true to life. I was at the park doing pullups and dips a month ago. I noticed this girl on one of the benches who looked 23-25ish. She looked my way, and we held eye contact a few times. So I was going to approach after I finished training. As I'm about to head over, her younger siblings she's babysitting come over. Im 23 now but i havent been asked for my id in 3-4 years now. You can say that if they look younger than 25 you should ask for an id but people can look older than 25 while still be under that age (i sometimes even got away with buy alcohol when i was 16 ish due to my beard)

Um, to this day, 14 is still legal in SC (with parental consent of course). More than half the states in the US allow marriage between 16 and 18, and 15 states allow it younger than 16. Not commenting on the morality of anything, just that it's still legal in places.... afterall, I'm _completely against_ marriage at _any_ age.

I don’t think it’s about laws, really. Depending on how far back you look, women couldn’t legally vote, hold jobs, get an education, own property… etc. - there were laws in place that caused this and yet morally people were opposed to these things which is how it eventually was overturned. It makes complete sense that as society stopped accepting and normalizing women as belongings, that we also stopped viewing it as acceptable for them to be sold off into marriages to much older men. It’s still considered legal and appropriate for teenagers to date and even marry other teenagers (depending on your state laws). The only major change is we no longer accept much older men pursuing those young women. This isn’t a case of the laws dictating our social norms and morals, but rather our laws coming to reflect our inherent moral values over time.

This is too true! Happened to me just last month, though I blame the church people for using this girl they knew was young as bait. So I'm at a riverfront park, walking and swimming the dog, it's about 11:30 on a Sunday. There's a big group of people I assume are doing a family reunion or something. A nice old couple say to me as I walk by, "Can you eat? We have so many extra burgers and hotdogs, please help us". That's not an offer I'm going to turn down, and I say "right on!". So I'm eating and chatting with people and when I'm about to go my own way a really cute gal walks up to me a huge smile and starts chatting me up. I figure it's worth seeing how this pans out, she was easily 8-9 and usually I pull 6-7. Then the conversation goes to her church, then she informs this is a church gathering, and introduces me to the pastor. I was still cool with all this. I'm not a church guy but I'm not against it, and hey, if this gorgeous gal was into it I could go for her sake. We continue chatting, even exchange numbers. I decide to end our conversation with trying to plan a hangout or something, so I ask if she's doing anything the next Saturday. And this is where is all falls apart... She says "during the day I have cheer camp, but we could chill after"... I reply, "oh that's cool. So you like coach the high school cheer team?".... "No, I'm on the cheer team"..... *crickets while I stare at her expecting her to laugh and say she's joking*.... "Uh, so you're 18?".... "Nope, I'll be 17 next month though! Don't worry about it, my parents and the pastor are cool as long I'm with a guy who goes to our church".... I told her she's awesome but I'm not comfortable with this situation and skedaddled. On my drive home though I couldn't get the thought of how fucked up it all was out of my head though. The parents definitely prompted her to try to reel me in. Basically the whole crowd was lie 50-100, and she was one of the few people aside from me who wasn't a literal child or a middle aged person. Pastor seemed to be aware of the tactic at play too. They were all basically hanging this girl out as bait to try to get young dudes to join their church. WTF!
